Telling The TRUTH
011814 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[MUSIC PLAYING] You're listening to "Telling the Truth," from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. God's Word is quick and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword. Listen to Amos 514, New King James Version. Seek good and not evil, that you may live, so the Lord God of hosts will be with you as you have spoken. When you ask God for something special, know that He wants you to seek good always and never, ever to seek evil. Evil lurks all around us, all the time, under every circumstance. But God is good. God is great. And God wants us to seek good, to seek Him. The result is that you may live. So the Lord God of hosts will be with you. God promises us life that lasts forever when we admit that we have sinned. When we turn to Jesus from our sins, when we believe on the Lord Jesus, and we're willing to tell other people about Him. You see, God will be with you if you are willing to put Him in first place. So seek good and not evil. Go with the gospel to people who need the Lord. Pray, read the Word of God. Do what the Word of God says to do. Fellowship in harmony with other believers in Christ, and together tell people Jesus came to save sinners. We would like to send you God's ABCs for you to share with your friends, with people who need the Lord. We sent hundreds of these out to our listeners, and we want to send some to you. You can order 50 or 100 or however many you want. Just call us, and we'll get them right to you. (upbeat music) Listen to Zepania, two, three New King James. Seek the Lord all you meek of the earth, who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger. Yes, God has a plan for you. He has a procedure for you to follow. Seek Him. All of His goodness is available to you, and we need to uphold His justice. There is unjustness happening all around us, all over the world, and especially right there where you live. So seek righteousness, seek humility. God's Word says to humble ourselves. Are you willing to do that? Pray this prayer. God make me usable, and use me to glorify you. Lift Jesus high. He said in I, if I be lifted up, I'll draw all men unto me. Lift up the cross of Christ wherever you are, and tell people that Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, that He rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures. That people know that God loves them. Jesus died for them. Will you get God's ABCs, and give them to people who need the Lord? You can write to us, or you can call us. The number to call is area code 812-867-2418. Join the many who have requested and are giving God's ABCs to people who need Jesus. Pray for them, and then give them the gospel. God will bless you abundantly. Again, the number, area code 812-867-2418. Old Testament prophecies are amazing to fathom. Listen, if you will, to Malachi 3.1, New King James. Behold, I send my messenger that He will prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming, says the Lord of hosts. God knows what's happening. He knows in advance who is going to do what, when, and why, because He has prepared the way, and the Scriptures unfold the very essence of who God is. Jesus Christ, Son of God, was predicted way before He was born of a virgin, lived perfectly, shared God's Word, and then went to the cross, and died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Jesus loves you. He is Lord, but is He your Lord? Have you admitted you have sinned? Have you believed on Christ? Have you told people you believe? Are you praying that are believers? Are you reading the Word of God together? And are you going with the gospel? You can. We have God's ABCs to send to you. They are total Scripture. Think about who you can see, who you can tell about Jesus, and let us know how many you can use. People have asked for 50, or 100, or 15, or 25, and whatever you can use prayerfully. Let us know. Call us, area code 812-867-248, and we'll get them right to you. An extremely significant Scripture is Matthew 633, New King James. Listen. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. When we put God in first place, when we seek Him first, and when we understand that His righteousness will prevail, we know that our righteousness is like filthy rags, but His breastplate of righteousness is available to us if we will put it on. We need to seek God's righteousness, and then know when we do everything that we need will be added to us. Things, T-H-I-N-G-S. God will not withhold anything from those who walk uprightly, the Bible says. God wants you and me to fellowship with Him to connect with other believers. He wants us to read the Word of God. He wants us to believe the Word of God and to share the Word of God with people who don't know Him, whom to know or write is life eternal. We have a thing called God's ABCs. It's in printed form. It includes Scriptures. Romans 323, Romans 623, John 3 16, Romans 10, 9, and 10. They're free. Let us know how many you will prayerfully distribute to people who need Jesus, and we'll get them right out to you. Call us. Erycote 812, 867-2418, that number? Erycote 812-867-2418. Tell us how many ABCs you will prayerfully use. Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be open to you for everyone who asks, receives, and he who seeks, finds, and to him who knocks, it will be open. Matthew 7, 7, and 8. God wants us to ask, and to seek, and to knock. Are you willing to do that? Ask God to give the opportunity to listen to the desires of your heart. Ask him to make you usable, and use you. Seek his will in every area of your life. Seek his desire for you, and keep knocking on his door, the door of his heart, and then ask other people if they will believe on the Lord Jesus. Seek other people who don't know the Lord, but who could, if someone would tell them how, and knock on their hearts' doors, and watch God make you usable, and use you. This "ask" formula is so important. It's really imperative that we follow that his divine design, wherever we go. So ask, seek, knock, and watch God work wonderfully. We have God's ABCs to put into your hands to distribute to people who need Jesus. All you have to do is call us. Here we go at 812-867-2418. Let us know how many of these you can prayerfully distribute. They're all scripture, and we want you to have yours so that you can reach people who need the Lord, that you know, that I don't know, but God knows, need him. Will you call us? God bless you. Jesus asks, what do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the 99, and go to the mountains, and seek that one that is straying? What's your answer to that question? Well, Jesus went on to respond. Listen to what else he said. "And if he should find it, assuredly I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the 99 that did not go astray." That's Matthew 18, 1213, New King James. Evangelist D.L. Moody and singer Iris Anki were on a train in England, and Mr. Anki began to put some words on paper. There were 99 that safely lay in the shelter of the fold, but one was out on the hills away, far off. What about your friends? What about the people in your family? Are they lost? Are you seeking them? Are you going after them? Are you telling them that God loves them so much that Jesus died for them, that he was buried, that he rose again? Do you love them enough to tell them how to get to heaven? Go after those lost sheep, those people for whom you care. We have a tool for you. It's called God's ABCs, and it's free. All you have to do is call us. Area code 812-867-248, and let us know how many you will prayerfully distribute to people who need the Lord. We want you to know that we'll be praying for you and with you as you go with the gospel. God is a global God. He is omnipotent. He is omniscient. And God cares about you. He cares about the whole world and all the countries of all the continents and all the people. Listen to Luke 1230, New King James, and understand how much he cares about you personally. For all these things, the nations of the world seek after, and your father knows that you need these things. My God shall supply all of your need according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus. God knows what you need. He knows why you need it, and He knows where you can find it. So be in a prayerful attitude all the time, seeking the will of God for every aspect of your life, and for those people for whom you are concerned. Family members, friends, people that just rub shoulders with you from time to time who need Jesus. And as you look at your world, as you look down deep in your heart, are you willing to pray, to believe, to go, to share, to be all God wants you to? Why don't you call right now, area code 812-867-2418, and tell us how many copies of God's ABCs you will prayerfully distribute to people who need Jesus. They're free, and they are total scripture. We want to get them into your hands. We want you to give them out to people, and we'll be praying for you as you go to people who need the Lord. Will you do that? Call us now. (upbeat music) Every Saturday at 7.27 PM, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages six to nine is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418, or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. (upbeat music) Seek God's will. You just heard us share several verses from God's word about His will. And probably the key to all of this is Matthew 633. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. What do you seek? Proverbs 11.27 says, "He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, but trouble will come to Him who seeks evil." God's word parallels itself time and time and time again. God wants us to always seek good. There is something that you can go after that will be better than anything else you've even dreamed about if we'll put God in first place. Seek first the kingdom of God and Him and His righteousness, and then everything else. All these things, the Bible says, will be added to you. So do not seek evil. Evil lurks everywhere. Listen to Proverbs 14-6. A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it. But knowledge is easy to Him who understands. Have you ever met a scoffer? Somebody who says, "Ah, I don't believe that." Oh, that's not true. Oh, come on, prove it. But the Bible holds true every ounce of it, every verse of it, every phrase of it, everything that is in it is God-inspired. It is the Word of God. It comes from Him, inspired through the Holy Spirit to people who would put the words on paper. God always uses people. But there are people who say, "I'm looking for wisdom, but I just can't find it in any place." That's because they're not going to God's Word. That's because they're not doing things the way God would have them. Or you, or me, to do it. Knowledge is easy to Him who understands. Now, Proverbs 25-27, again, gives us a very, very special scenario. Listen, it is not good to eat much honey. So to seek one's own glory is not glory. Have you ever seen somebody that just gorgeous himself on sweet stuff, even honey? I like a little bit of honey, but not a whole lot of honey. A whole lot of honey is too much honey. But God wants us to understand that a little bit goes a long way. But He also wants us to seek Him and His glory and not our own. Have you met conceited people? People who say, "Hey, you name it and I'll do it. Whatever it is you want done, I'll take care of it." And every some time ago, I was privileged to share a platform with one of the most outstanding people in God's scheme of things in America. He was a former paratrooper, and I'll always remember his message. He said, "As a paratrooper, I was cocky." And he said, "Somebody would come to me and say, "Hey, will you do this? Sure, I will." What else you want me to do? I can do anything. It doesn't matter what it is, I'll take care of it. You have a problem, I'll solve it. I know how to do everything. But of course, he was lying. He didn't really know how to do everything. And then he met Jesus. He admitted that he was a sinner, that he couldn't do everything, that Christ died for his sins, that he was buried, that he rose again. And when he gave his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, he became a totally different person. And I remember always, he said, "The only difference in me then and now are two words." Before I said, "I can do anything." Now he says, "I can do all things through Christ, "who strengthens me." That former paratrooper went on to build a large church in Texas, and then the world's largest Sunday school in the state of Indiana. What a wonderful change God can make in the hearts of people who put him in first place, and not seek their own glory. Romans 3, 10, 11, and 12 says, "As it is written, "there is none righteous, no not one. "There is none who understands. "There is none who seeks after God. "They have all turned aside. "They have together become unprofitable. "There is none who does good, no not one." And that means in ourselves we can't do good. We can't be good because we are sinful. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, of his expectations for us. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. So understand this, that yes, there's none righteous. You're not, I'm not, nobody is. But God's righteousness covers all of our iniquities. God's word tells us to put on a whole armor of God to stand against the wild of the devil. And one of those pieces of that armor is the breastplate of righteousness. God wants us to understand that he outlines in Ephesians 6 what will work to be his ambassador, his servant, his soldier. Put on the helmet of salvation, how do you get that? By admitting that you have sinned, by turning to Jesus from your sins, by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, by being willing to tell other people that you believe. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved with the heart, mind, believes to righteousness. And with the mouth, confession is made to salvation. That's how you get to heaven, by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. And so you have the helmet of salvation, you put on that breastplate of righteousness, then you have your waist girded with the truth belt. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, the life, nobody comes to the Father except by me. Jesus said, you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Truth is the opposite of falsehood. It's the only thing that stands forever. Truth is God's word. Jesus Christ, truth personified. So understand that. That there is nothing good about you or me, other than our relationship with God through his son, the Lord Jesus Christ. But his righteousness can absolutely overwhelm us. Never to put on our gospel shoes. That means that we don't stand still, that we go with the gospel, with the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus. There are people that you know that I don't know, but you could reach if you would. How do you do that? We have a thing called God's ABCs, and we have had hundreds of them requested by our listeners, and they've gone out all over the place, and they are being distributed one on one by people who need Jesus by people who love the Lord. What about you? Will you take God's word? It's simple. It's Romans 323, Romans 6, 23, John 3, 16, Romans 10, 9, and 10. And on the outside of these ABCs is a copy of our billboard, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, telling the truth to through teenagers with our website. And we want you to have these, and to get yours, just call us, area code 812-867-2418, and say, these are how many I could prayerfully use, and let us know the number, and we'll get them to you. It is our privilege to share this wonderful opportunity with you. Listen to Philippians 2, 21. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus. People are going hither and yon, helter, scalter, in a messed up, mixed up world, and they need the truth. They need an anchor. And so we need to put those gospel shoes on and go with the gospel. And then God gives us three other things, two are tools that are tangible, one is intangible. The one tangible tool is the shield of faith. The devil's going to fire darts at you. He doesn't like any believer in Christ, and especially those who are witnessing believers. We had a phone call that Mary took just a week ago, and someone called saying, "I have been listening to George Dooms "talk about being a witness, "being a share of the gospel. "And I am now convicted that I'm supposed to do that, "so please send me a hundred copies of God's ABCs, "and could I possibly have "one of those New King James Bibles?" And Mary said, "Of course you can." We got those in the mail immediately. I think it was the fastest turnaround we've ever had from a request like that, because the timing was just right. He happened to call on a Saturday morning, and we were able to get to a post office. It was open until 1.30, and get those right out. And that's what we'll do for you. We'll get them to you. And if you want to come by triple T anytime, we'll be delighted to share with you those tools that you can use to get the gospel to people. And the second part, that is a tangible thing of our tools, is the Word of God, the Bible. God's Word is quick, and powerful, and sharpened at a two-edged sword. It never returns void. And we want you to have your own copy of the Word of God. It's free, and we're giving them out to as many people as we possibly can. As a matter of fact, we just ordered another thousand Bibles to be able to distribute. We've given away about 10,000 so far, but we've got many, many people who don't yet have them. And then the final part of the armor is the intangible part. The unseen part is called prayer. Prayer without ceasing. And everything give thanks, but this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. So ask God to make you usable and use you, and ask Him to do it in a very special way, and then thank Him for what He's done, what He's doing and what He's going to do. Again, we want to connect with you in any way, in every way that we possibly can. So let us do that. Call us, area code 812-867-2418, or write us. George Dooms, triple T, that's TTT, 13,13-000-0-0-0-US Highway 41 North, Evansville, Indiana, 477-25. Stay tuned. We're going to tell you some more things that you can do to glorify God. (upbeat music) What is God's will? You've been listening to some scriptures, some information that will let you know that God cares a lot about you, and He has a perfect plan for you. Listen to 2 Peter 3-9. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as is some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. You see, God has a plan for you and for me, and for everybody everywhere, but that plan really encompasses a relationship with Jesus Christ. You can't get to heaven without knowing Jesus. It's not by works of righteousness which you have done, no matter how many wonderful things you've done, that doesn't pave the way to heaven for you, nor anybody else. It's only by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. The gift of God is eternal life. Do you hear that? The gift of God. God sent His Son, Jesus, to spend all of His lifetime touching, teaching, healing, preaching, and then He died. He died because you are a sinner, because I am a sinner, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again on the third day. If you want to learn about what Jesus did, read the book of Hebrews. It's filled with the wonderful story of how Jesus Christ became the sin substitute for everybody everywhere who believe on Him. Listen to Jeremiah, 29, 11, 12, and 13. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "Thoughts of peace and not of evil, "to give you a future and a hope. "Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me, "and I will listen to you, and you will seek me "and find me when you search for me with all of your heart." What a magnificent promise that is, and that's for you, and that's for me, but we have to understand that we've got to go the direction God wants us to go toward Him. So secondly, seek Him and serve Him with all of your heart. Listen to Psalm 119, the longest Psalm. They're gonna read the whole thing, just verses one through four. Listen, "Follow God's written instructions. "Blessed are the undefiled in the way, "who walk in the law of the Lord. "Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, "who seek Him with the whole heart. "They also do no iniquity. "They walk in His ways. "You have commanded us to keep your precepts diligently." As you read that Psalm, and sometimes just take time out, I think a little time, but it's the longest chapter in the entire Bible, Psalm 119. But it constantly moves us back to God. It lets us know how much He cares. It lets us know what He has done, and it lets us know what we are to do in turn for Him, to glorify Him. So seek Him and serve Him with your whole heart. Every day I have a little habit that I go through. The first thing I do is to pray the prayer of J. Biz. It's a very special prayer. It's a personal prayer, and I watch God use that prayer to give answers again and again and again. And then I pray Romans 12, one and two, listen. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice wholly acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service, and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is at good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Then I go on and quote to the Lord, Romans 12, three and four and five, and the first part of verse six, talking about using what God's interested to us. Then I read the proverb of the day. It's been a wonderful lifestyle to watch God speak to me through His word, and He'll do the same for you if you're just open to Word of God and let Him speak to you. Listen to Hebrews 11-6, who, without faith, it is impossible to please Him. For He who comes to God must believe that He is, that He is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. Thirdly, share Him with your world. Acts 22, 14, 15, 16 says. Then He said, "The God of our fathers has chosen you, that you should know His will, and see the last one, and hear the voice of His mouth, for you will be witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now, why are you waiting?" We hold now is the acceptance time. We want you to have God's ABCs. They're available to you to get yours call, area code 812-867-2418. And tell us how many you can prayerfully use. They are filled with scripture. They have a picture of the billboard on the outside, and they are free. All you have to do is call, and we'll get them right out to you. Will you do that? I hope you will. Christ through you can change the world.
