Telling The TRUTH
101213 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
10. Your Listening to Telling the Truth from Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, Telling the Truth to and through teenagers. Here is Triple T founder and president George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. How long has it been since you have said a sincere thank you to someone who has had an impact on your life for the Lord Jesus? Let's just first testelonians 1-3, New King James Version. We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father. There are people in your world who need to be thanked. Paul is saying thank you to the Thessalonians in a very heartfelt manner. God has used those people and he remembers their work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope. God has people in your world like that and you need to acknowledge them before the Lord and in person are certainly by correspondence. You can even do it by using social media. But say thanks and understand that God will bless you when you acknowledge others who have helped you. Know this. God wants us to be grateful to him and to the people he puts in our lives that are helpful to us for the furtherance of the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus. So keep praying, keep reading God's word, and thank somebody today. Who do you know that needs to be thanked? Will you write their name down? Will you then follow through by praying for them and then saying thank you? Listen to 1 Thessalonians 2-9, New King James Version. For you remember brethren, our labor and toil for laboring night and day that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preach to you the gospel of God. Paul is reminding the people that he has been working diligently on their behalf. The purpose and the reason for doing it all, to share with them the gospel of God that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he rose again on the third day. Paul is explaining to these people that they need to turn to Jesus from their sins, to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly, and that's what you and I need to do. First of all, to make sure that we have done it, and then secondly, help others do it. God wants us to be seed planters, and we have for you what we call God's ABCs. It has a plan of salvation, the outside has a message that we begin every broadcast with, and then if you want those ABCs to scatter as seeds to people who need the Lord, please call us, or write us, and let us know how many you would be willing to plant, and we will send them to you, free of charge, directly to you. I hope he will determine to sow the gospel seeds today. Somebody is waiting for you to tell them how to get to heaven. We have the plan. It's on paper, and we want to send them to you. So call our right now. Paul planted gospel seeds all across Thessalonica, and now he wants to find out whether or not those seeds took root. First Thessalonians 3-5, New King James says, "For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain." Yes, Satan wants to snatch the gospel from its being heard and responded to by people who are sinners, that Christ died for our sins, Christ came to save sinners, and Paul knowing that sows the seeds of the gospel again and again. Now he is checking up, because he knows the temptations are going to come, and people are going to try to keep the gospel from going to those who really need the Lord. Satan uses people in his army to accomplish his scheme of things, just as God does labors in his harvest field. So will you be a labor for the Lord? Will you sow gospel seeds? We want to send you a packet of God's ABCs for you to sow in your area to the people who need to know the Lord. Pray. Get a prayer partner to pray with you. Read the Word of God, and then take the gospel and sow it everywhere. Call us, Erykod 812-867-2418, and let us know how many of God's ABC gospel seeds you want. Little people often will be tempted to criticize Christian leaders. But listen to 1 Thessalonians 5, 12, and 13 New King James Version, and we urge you brethren to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you, and esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves. In other words, know that there are people who have really paid the price to get the gospel to you. So thank them, respond to them, and esteem them. That means really respect them, because they love you, and they love Jesus. Be at peace among yourselves. Don't complain. Don't criticize. But rather, go yourself with the gospel. Following the leadership of the pastors, the evangelists, the teachers, the people that God puts in your path to lead you in the right direction. If you will do that, wonderful things can happen. You can get the gospel to more people than you have ever imagined possible by first respecting those leaders, secondly by praying for them, thirdly by praying with others for them, and then by going with the gospel to those who need the Lord. Call 812-867-2418 and tell us how many gospel seeds God's ABCs you can prayerfully use, and we will send them to you. Again, they're free. It just takes you to go with the gospel to share God's good news with people who need the Lord. So will you? Paul paid the price to present the gospel to the Thessalonians. Now, in his second letter, he is reminding them of some very important facts. Listen to 2 Thessalonians 3, 7, and 8 New King James. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us. For we were not disorderly among you, nor did we eat anyone's bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day that we might not be a burden to any of you. Paul is saying, yes, we paid the price, but understand that now you can follow our leadership. We have something to tell you. We have a place to take you, and we have people to win to the Lord as you understand how to be a follower of the Lord Jesus. So, first follow us and then know how to share Christ with people who need to know Him. Pray together, read God's Word together, and then go together with the good news of the gospel. Let people know they need to admit they've sinned, to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly. They need to do it now, and if you haven't, this can be your day of salvation if you have, then share your faith. Share it effectively, quickly and deliberately. Call area code 812-867-2418 and ask for God's ABCs to give away. We'll send them to you. Just let us know how many you can prayerfully use. God bless you for this. The theology that is packed in 1 Timothy 4-10, New King James is potent. Listen, for to this end we both labor and suffer reproach because we trust in the living God who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. Yes, Christ died for everybody, but only those who admit they have sinned, who will turn to Jesus, who are willing to confess Him before others are what Paul is referring to as those who believe. Yes, Jesus is the Savior, but He is the Savior of those who will receive the gift of God eternal life. There are people out there who need to trust in the living God. Paul said, "That's what He's done, and that's what you need to make sure you have done, and are doing, and help others do the same thing." That's why we put together what we call God's ABCs. They are available to you. They are gospel seeds to scatter everywhere and anywhere you go. We have teenagers who keep them in their backpacks. We have business people who keep them in their pockets. We have ladies who keep them in their purses. You can take the gospel wherever you go and give them to people who need the Lord. Share them one-on-one and tell them this is their ticket to heaven. To get yours, simply call area 3812-867-2418 and request your ABCs. Let us know how many and we'll send them to you. Living by faith is a wonderful lifestyle, but people who are doing this depend on believers to share what they have so the gospel can go forward through the people who are communicating Christianity. Listen to 1 Timothy 5, 1718, New King James Version. Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the Word and doctrine. For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle the ox while it treads out the grain, and the labor is worthy of his wages." Have you given a gift recently to ministries that are helping you and getting the gospel to people? God can use you if it would do that kind of sewing, that kind of planting, because when you plant the gospel in someone's heart and life, it brings forth fruit ultimately. But when you plant dollars and resources in the hands of the harvesters, wonderful things keep happening. So pray about doing what God would have you to do in supporting people who are communicating the gospel effectively. I know you know someone who does that. Have you told them how grateful you are tangibly? Do it today. Write a check, send a letter, and do something to help the gospel go forward through the communicators that you trust. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, people are watching you even if you are not aware of it. You are a witness whether you want to be a witness or not. It is up to you to decide if you will be a good witness or a poor witness. Jesus did not intend for a few select followers to share his message with the world. Jesus told his disciples to go and make more disciples who could carry the gospel to the entire world. The great commission is to go and make disciples to preach the gospel everywhere to everybody. It is still our challenge for today. Sharing your faith becomes a natural outpouring of God's continuous blessings on your own life. When you are in tune with God, you can share what you know. As you begin to give God the credit for what he is doing in your life, every conversation becomes an opportunity to share Jesus Christ. Sharing your faith is not something to be programmed into your life. In Acts 3 Peter and John were interrupted on their way to the temple. They were going to pray. A lame man was begging for coins. They said, "Silver and gold have we none, but such as we have, we give unto you." In the name of Jesus rise up and walk. As the man first walked, then leaped and began praising God. A crowd gathered. Peter saw his opportunity. And 5,000 people were added to the church that day. All this happened because Peter saw his opportunity, changed his plans, and delivered God's message. Peter's words were very simple. He showed the people their sin. He told them about God's forgiveness in Christ if they would believe. And he pointed out their responsibility to a world that needed healing. We call this the A-B-C plan of salvation. A, admit you have sinned, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God has eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. If we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God has raised him and dead, we will be safe with the heart when believes to righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made to salvation. Winning is just the beginning. Leading a person to Christ is the first step of the Christian life. A person who has been born again has the same needs as any baby. The new Christian must be fed, clothed, and loved to maturity. The baby does not care for properly, will not make it. Jesus was aware of this as he related the parable of the sower in Mark 4, 3 through 20. Listen. Behold, the sower went out to sow, and it happened as he sowed that some seed fell by the wayside, and the birds of the air came and devoured it. Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth, and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground, and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased, and produced, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred. And he said to them, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." But when he was alone, those around him, with the twelve, ask him about the parable. And he said to them, "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside all things are in parables, so that seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest they should turn and their sins be forgiven them." And he said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then would you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. And those are the ones, by the wayside, where the word is sown, and when they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are now the ones sown on stony ground, who when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness. And they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward when tribulation or persecution arises, for the word's sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among the thorns. They are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. But these are the ones sown on good ground. Those who hear the word accept it and bear fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred. That becomes our opportunity, yours and mine, to sow gospel seeds in every area that we can. We have for you, as you've heard, God's ABCs. We want you to have as many as you can possibly use to put in the hands of people. God can use you if you want to do something special. And another thing that you can do, you have just a few days left to do it now, is to come and see the life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle. Bring some people with you that don't know the Lord. Let them see Jesus in the tabernacle. Let them see how great God is and how long he has been reaching out to people. And find out how the blood of bulls and goats and slain lambs that were spotless no longer are the sin coverings, but now it's the blood of Jesus Christ God's Son that cleanses us from all sin. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and he rose again. So in order to book your tour, in order to get a tour guide available, call immediately. Area Code 812-867-2418. It's only open through the 17th of October. And then that's it. The Youth of Anism Association convention and youth workers' intensive training begins Monday the 14th. On Tuesday the 15th at 727 at Triple T there's a happening. It's called Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth Effort. Our special guest will be Clyde Dupin who will be sharing his story and the very special circuit writers. They're instrumentalists, vocalists, and they'll provide the music for this very fast-paced one-hour and three-minute happening on Tuesday evening at 727 at Triple T. The whole thing ends on Thursday and that's the last day for a tour of the Tabernacle. So call Area Code 812-867-2418 and try to arrange a tour guide for the time that is best for you if one is available. And if a tour is there that you can get in on, wonderful. If we have to do one just for you, we're willing to try if we can work out the logistics. Again, when people come to the Tabernacle they hear the gospel. They find out about who Jesus is and what he's done and how he paid the price, the penalty of our sins, by his shed blood on the cross of Calvary. We get to go inside the Holy of Holies because it was there that God lived for over 500 years in the Tabernacle and then he moved into the temple when Solomon built it for him for God's glory. When we present the gospel and people respond, we give them life at its very best by Dave Breeze. It is a book that really lets people in on a lot of things that God has done. It gives us the promise that God has provided. It lets us know who that promise is and what it's all about and how we can identify with it and how we can be a part of it. We have a sublime truth that's embedded in this booklet and then we go into the pursuit and that's what God is doing to reach out to people. He wants us to know that there is a world out there that needs to be changed, needs to be rearranged and he uses people like you and me who are believers in Christ. And by the way, if you're not, this is the moment of truth for you. The plan is simple. God loves you. Jesus died for you. He wants you to turn to him from your sins. He wants you to receive his gift of eternal life. He wants to give you life that lasts forever and he wants you to share your faith in him with others once you are truly a believer. The plan is magnificent and the plan can continue to multiply as we share it with more and more individuals and all of this is in this booklet that we provide for anybody who says yes to Jesus. We provide inside this booklet the continuing provision, what God will keep on doing for the believer, what God will keep on doing for the people that need the Lord and the projection for the future. That's what the Old Testament did before Jesus came and that's why we're showing the tabernacle but now we have a whole new ball game because Jesus has come and he's coming again. So you have the opportunity for the next few days only to see the life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle. We hope that you'll be with us at Triple T. We want to have you among us and we want to let you know that we have something special for you. We have a gift for everybody that comes through the tabernacle tour and we want you to have this information that will help you not for just a few moments but for the rest of your life. It talks about who Jesus is, why he's come and what is happening now and what can happen in your life. Stay tuned. It seems hardly possible that it was four decades ago that five directors of evangelistic youth ministries from various places across the United States met in our living room here at Triple T to establish Youth Evangelism Association. The year was 1973. Vic Elias and VCY America formerly Wisconsin's voice of Christian youth in Milwaukee was here. Jim Harris, Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center in Harrisburg Pennsylvania then known as Greater Harrisburg Pennsylvania Youth for Christ. Al Metzger, the founder director with his wife Vidy of Kansas City Youth for Christ, the largest local ministry in the world reaching teenagers for about 50 years. Dick Snavely, my classmate at Bob Jones University, formerly the director of area Youth for Christ in Bath, New York, now known as Family Life Ministries and myself as director of Tri-State Youth for Christ, now Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. This was what happened in our hearts. Being moved by the desperate spiritual need among the nation's young people to know Christ as their only hope and having a desire to provide the most effective vehicle through which God called men and women and scripturally sound organizations can work to reach Youth for Christ. We propose to group ourselves into a fellowship to be known as Youth Evangelism Association Incorporated. And so now, beginning on the 14th of October, on Monday at 3 o'clock, the 40th anniversary of Youth Evangelism Association will happen right here at Triple T. It will go all the way through Thursday evening as we are hosting pastors and youth workers and their spouses along with a number of people from various parts of the country that are expected to join us. The Circuit Rider Band from Motorcycle Sunday School Mission will be with us. Our special guest will be Clyde Dupan, former pastor here in Evansville, former director of evangelism for the Bill Glassker Sades and then on his own in evangelist for over three decades. Our scriptural thrust is for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2, 3, and 4. And so we invite you to learn more about us. We have information we'd like to put into your hands. Again, it starts at 3 o'clock Monday with the opening general session. We break out sessions, dinner and fellowship, and a general session Monday night. Another general session on Tuesday, break out sessions, lunch, fellowship, and then the actual evangelistic youth rally at 727 on Tuesday evening. Wednesday will have a meeting of the Council of Delegates. That is the governing body of Use of Management Association. We break out sessions and fellowship and then we'll have a wonderful thing happening on Thursday. We're having a lady's tea with Grace Lupin. If you're interested, give us a buzz. Area code 812-867-2418. And then if you're a pastor, or a youth leader, or if you will inform your pastor or youth leader, they are invited to be with us on Thursday evening at 6.30, but it's by reservation only and their reservations have got to be in by Tuesday the 15th. And that's just a very, very short time from now. So again, get the word out this weekend through those people that you know so that they can come and be with us for this very special complimentary dinner and a challenge by Clyde Dupin. We're excited because of what God has done and is doing and is going to do, and we invite you to be prayerfully involved in every fast and phase you can with Triple T. We want to give you another invitation. This is a little longer range, a little further away, but on the 28th of December, God willing, of 2013, it will be again, God willing, Triple T's 2,500 consecutive Saturday. We're excited about the people that are planning to be with us, and we invite you to come. It's free, and we want you to be a part of the celebration of all God has done and this anticipation of what He's going to do. We're reaching for the stars, and that's the theme that night and on into 2014 and 15 and 16, because God willing, on February 6, 2016, it will be our golden anniversary as a ministry. It's been a great, great ride, and we've had the privilege of seeing many, many people come to know the Lord, but we've got to reach so many more, and we need your support, your help, your prayers, and your involvement, so please try your best to be with us tonight. It's going to be an exciting night, and if you can call for the Tabernacle Tour, arrange your Tabernacle Tour Guide. Again, we're looking forward to having you a part of us. Christ through you can change the world.
