"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, for me to live is Christ and to die is gained. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor and what I shall choose I cannot tell." Philippians 1, 21, 22, Nuking James Version. Paul is thinking about all of his tomorrow's. He is also thinking about the past and what has already happened. Then he says this very special thing, "If I live in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor." He knew that he was going to be continuing to share the gospel, the good news of the Lord Jesus, with people who needed to know the Lord. He had done it in Philippi. That's where the church began. And God knew that Paul had a life to live and he knew that Paul was his. So can you also say, "For me to live is Christ?" Only one life will soon be passed. Only what's done for Christ will last. That poem has been on my desk since I graduated from college and I believe that God wants each one of us to first of all seek his will by praying, reading his word, having fellowship with other believers in Christ, and determining to labor in the Lord for the purpose of causing people to hear the gospel and to believe and to become one of us if you are indeed a Christian. If you aren't, you can be now, so turn to Jesus, this very moment. Christ through you can change the world. [MUSIC PLAYING] (dramatic music)
