Telling The TRUTH
091413 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Be as prayerful and careful as possible before you sowed the seeds of the gospel, but know that you can't always dictate what's going to happen when or where. Jeremiah, 4, 3-B, New King James says, "Break up your follow ground and do not sow among thorns." That's very good advice and very difficult to accomplish. But as best you can, sow where it's going to reap the greatest result. God wants you to pray. He wants you to talk with Him to get guidance and direction from Him, and then He wants you to read His Word. The Word of God is very, very effective in sharing with us details about what to do, when, and where, and how to do it. But don't neglect sowing because you're thinking there might be thorns out there. So anyway, make sure that the follow ground is broken up. Do that by prayer, by the reading of God's Word, by the sharing of the good news with people in every possible manner and means that you can. Then, having prayed with other believers, take the gospel and hide it in the heart of yourself and then plant it in other people. That's the way God works wonderfully well through His Word, through prayer, through fellowship with other believers and through the sharing of the gospel. Jesus shared a very practical lesson and we want to reiterate it with you today. Luke 1224, New King James says, "Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn, and God feeds them of how much more value are you than the birds." Did you get that? Do you understand how much God cares about you? So take no thought of tomorrow. Just do what you are supposed to do today. Start every day by praying and reading the Word of God. Then find other believers with whom you can pray and to get it determined to sow the gospel seeds where you can to let people know that they must admit they have sinned. Turn to Jesus from their sins, believe on Him, and be willing to tell others about Him. There are people waiting for you to tell them the truth. God wants you to be His ambassador, a communicator of Christianity, to somebody today. Who do you know who needs the Lord? Will you pray for them? Will you go to them? Will you plant gospel seeds where they live, where they are, in the most effective way you possibly can? If you'll do this, wonderful things will happen and eternity will be different because of you. Jesus is attempting to get the attention of His disciples and now us through the written, inspired, changeless Word of God. Do you not say there are still four months and then comes the harvest? Behold I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields for they are already white for harvest. John 4.35, New King James Version. Look out at a world in need. Look at the people with whom you come in contact. See that they are ready now. You don't have to wait. You need to pray, but don't procrastinate. Determine your strategy. How are you going to best share God's good news with people who need to know the Lord? Will you pray together? Will you read God's Word together? Will you then go with the gospel? God wants you to because the harvest is ready, but it is up to you. It is up to me to go with the gospel to people who need the Lord. So after praying and reading the Word of God and having a partner with you, will you then go today and share the Lord Jesus Christ with someone who needs Him? Tell them Christ died for our sins. He was buried and he rose again and he wants to live with them for them and them with him forever. Listen to the lesson that Jesus is endeavoring to share with you and me. John 4.36, 37, New King James Version. And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true, one sows and another reaps. Whether you are doing the sowing or the reaping, God can make you usable and use you, but don't neglect the sowing. Someone has to first sow the seeds, the seeds of the gospel before we can reap results. The need, but if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden that those that are lost, those that are perishing, the plan, go into all the world and share the gospel with everybody, everywhere. The result and the word of the Lord will be published throughout all the region. That's where the reaping happens, but you have to sow first. So prayerfully, carefully read the word of God. Do what it says to do, find someone to pray with you, and either go by yourself or go with that person, but wherever you do go. Go with the gospel and share how to get to heaven with somebody who needs to know. When you plant the seed you put in the ground has to die before it brings forth fruit. Listen to 1 Corinthians 15, 36, New King James Version. Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. That's the way God has arranged for things to happen. We have to know that the seed dies, and then when God is ready, it begins to sprout and to bring forth its intended fruit. God wants all of us to know that that's what happened to Jesus. Christ died for our sins. He was buried and he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. It's the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ that is the gospel. And that's the story, the true story, the absolutely, totally true story that Jesus Christ came to save sinners. He died, was buried, and rose again. But a lot of people don't know that. They don't understand the concept that first there has to be death before there can be life. Jesus paid the price. Will you tell somebody today? Christ died for our sins. He was buried and he rose again. What we need to do is to turn to him from our sins, to believe on him, and to confess him publicly. 1 Corinthians 15, 37, and 38, New King James Version explains what some people think is very complicated. But it is the way God ordained that things would grow. Listen. And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be but mere grain. Perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as he pleases and to each seed its own body. When you plant something, what you plant is going to grow. Sometimes it is going to be multiplied many fold. It will not change what it is, but the seed will ultimately become a body. Again, to understand this concept, God is letting us know that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. And He will give life to every person who will believe on him. Meanwhile, we need to plant gospel seeds as often as we can, as effectively as we can, and wait for that seed to bring forth fruit. Not all seeds that are planted will grow. But God is in charge, and He wants us to keep planting. So don't sow a seed and go out ten days later and dig it up and say, "Wow, I wonder if that seed is doing what it's supposed to do. Let it own. Let it die. Let it bring forth fruit." But this I say, "He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. And he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." St. Corinthians 9-6, New King James. Triple D. Christian Youth Ministries is in the business of sowing gospel seeds, not sparingly, but as bountifully as possible. We use every means, immediate at our disposal to get the gospel to people who need the Lord. We do it through the printed page, through radio, billboards, one-on-one sharing, the distribution of God's Word, and on it goes in every way we can. Because God's Word does not return void, and we know this, and we rely on this, we're not going to sow sparingly, but we are going to continue to do everything we can to get the gospel to the most possible people in the shortest possible time. And that's why we need you to be a Tiger teammate with us. We would like to send you copies of God's ABCs for you to give to your friends, your family members, people with whom you do business. Let them know how to get to heaven. When I leave one of those with somebody, I just say, here's your ticket to heaven, read it, and follow the instructions. If you'll do that, God will use your efforts and your energies to plant gospel seeds in the hearts of people that will reap results. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. A life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle is a Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, 13,000 U.S. Highway 41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and I-64. Come and see Christ pictured in the tabernacle. To arrange a tour Monday through Friday daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through October 17, call 812-867-2418. That's 812-867-2418. Every time we take people through the life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle on the campus of Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, we sow gospel seeds as we are taking them on the tour. We let them know that Jesus Christ is who He says He is yesterday, today and forever. The Old Testament prophesies time and time again who Jesus is and that He's coming. And the New Testament reveals Christ as the King, as the Savior, as the Redeemer. And so, as we share, God's good news. It's a wonderful thing to see how God put the whole thing together a long, long, long time ago. God dwelt in the tabernacle. That's what tabernacle means, where He dwells, where He lives. Then the Holy of Holies, the Shekinah glory, was so bright that it was impossible almost to be in His presence. And only once a year on Jan Kapoor could the high priest go in through the veil and make the blood sacrifices there on the wingtips of the cherubim and let them drop on the altar. God wants each one of us to know that we don't have to do that now. Christ died for our sins, He was buried and He rose again. And so, as we know what He did, as John the Baptist said, "Behold, the Lamb of God that came to take away the sins of the world." That's our proclamation. That's our opportunity to share the good news. And we need workers, fellow workers, we're praying every day. Mary and I pray together for God to send us people to invest their time, their talent, their treasure. Only when God sends the people can the ministry go forward and survive. Right now, we need people more than we've ever needed them, but the right people. We're asking God to keep away the people that shouldn't be here to bring into the picture the people that should. Listen to 2 Corinthians 6, 1 and 2, New King James Version. We then, as workers together with Him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain, for He says, "In an acceptable time, I have heard you, and in the day of salvation, I have helped you. Behold now is accepted time. Behold now is the day of salvation." We're involved right now in what we call 1,000 days of prayer in action. It started May 13, 2013, and will go God willing toward February 6, 2016. Between May the 4th and the 11th, Team Nations International sent 15 workers to Triple T to set up a life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle. It was dedicated May 13, beginning the 1,000 days of prayer and action to February 6, 2016 to be the Lord willing, Triple T's golden anniversary. Together toward tomorrow, video is shown at the start of each tabernacle tour. The gospel and invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ concludes each tour. Hundreds have taken the tour to date with several more tours scheduled. Shelibranard, Carol Youngs, and I have served as tabernacle guides, and Jeff Mobley and Tammy have been trained as tabernacle guides, too. Truly Saturday nights continue without interruption. Two Team Nations teams arrived on July the 6th. They joined the Triple T staff, Traveling Tigers, and Adult Volunteers for Fairshare, 2013. Everyone attending Jesus Christ changed in a world summit on July 13 gathered for prayer at the newly constructed outdoor prayer chapel as the 25-week thrust began. Going toward December 28, 2013, Triple T's 2,500 consecutive Saturday, the Lord willing. Team Nations teenagers and leaders presented dramatic skits and music at Triple T's 6 Saturdays from July 6 through August 10. August 17 and 24 were regrouping times. Richard Comer, who has faithfully transported youth to Triple T for three years, presented a challenging message, August 24. August 31, Tiger Team turned 30. Thousands have now earned Tiger Team Points. If all who had received 3,000 points or more were to return the same Saturday, they couldn't all fit in the Triple T's auditorium. September 7 was back to school burger bash at Triple T. Special guest Brent Lacey, author of Rural Youth Ministry, Thrive or You're Planted, was able to prepare people for My Hope America with Billy Graham. Brent connected with Triple T in 1995 as the Traveling Tigers with Brian Fuller had a Tiger Team impact at the Perry County, Illinois Fairgrounds at Pigneville. And Brent came to a Triple T Saturday night as a teenager. As schools open now, students are being challenged to get Bible clubs going, on campus and are off campus. All during September, the focus will continue to be... Prayer. Moving toward CU with the flagpole, the worldwide student prayer gathering at School Flagpole's Wednesday, September 25. October 5 will feature free corn dogs, previewing Triple T's booth at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, October 7-11. Triple T is hosting the 40th Youth Evangelism Convention and Youth Workers Intensive Training, October 14-17. Clyde and Grace Duppen and the Motorcycle Sunday School Circuit Writers will be featured. October 17 will also be the last day that people can tour the Old Testament tabernacle life-size replica. It's time for you to call 812-867-2418 and arrange your tour. We've had numbers of people from across the tri-state, especially from Southern Illinois, from Wabash County, and from Lawrence County, and from the other places that we've been this summer, Richland County and Edwards County, and of course, closer in Indiana. We're happy that we'll be able to take the Circuit Writers' Band to area churches through October 27. November 2-9 is my hope America was Billy Graham on live television or video at Triple T every evening. December will celebrate Jesus' birthday. December 7, Trumpeter, Chiz Writer, is to be our special guest. December 28 is to be Triple T's 2,500 consecutive Saturday. God willing. Be sure to mark that on your calendar. Make plans now to be with us, bringing as many people as possible with you so that we can have a wonderful, wonderful celebration of all of those Saturday nights that God has moved marvelously on the hearts and lives of people, teenagers, preteens, and adults alike. We want you to know that God can make you usable and use you to make an impact. Did you know that this summer a total of 63 youth and adult leaders participated in Fairshare 2013? The combined teams from Triple T and Teen Missions presented the gospel to 3,019 fairgoers. Over 700 received New King James Bibles, and 183 made the decision to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. All praise, all glory goes to God. Triple T facilities were stretched nearly every possible way, July 6 through August 10. The 3A-frame dorms were the capacity of 8 each housed girls. Guys overnighted in the game room and on the catwalk. Other girls slept in the mail room. The 2 lyric rooms housed a family of 4, and the former print shop, another family of 4. The in-bounds basketball ministry team of 8, stayed overnight in the conference room one evening. Temi coordinated the Fairshare logistics. Several days, 3 teams traveled to 3 different counties simultaneously. 12 different vehicles were used during Fairshare, going a combined total of 10,382 miles. On every Saturday in July, July 7, 14, 21, and 28, Triple T teams with Teen Missions gas were hosted by 10 different congregations, representing 9 denominations. Teen Missions teams presented music and drama, and the editor toward tomorrow video were shown, and Temi or I shared. Please pray for wisdom as we develop restart, a key action plan to reach the touched Sunday school and our church youth group dropouts, and those who have never or seldom attended. The majority of 10- to 19-year-olds in the United States and Canada do not attend church, Sunday school, or youth groups. Restart is a concerted effort to stop this spiritual fallout of youth, and it challenges and equips preteens and teenagers to be involved in Bible-believing Sunday schools and our local church youth groups for 9 weeks, and to invite and bring their friends to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. If you would like to have a personal copy of the restart concept, the key action plan, then call us, area code 812-867-2418. 867-2418, and we'll send it right away to you. Looking forward to hearing from you, stay tuned. A life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle is a Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, 13,000 U.S. Highway 41 north at Boone Villner Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and I-64. Come and see Christ pictured in the tabernacle. We'll arrange a tour Monday through Friday daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through October 17, call 812-867-2418. That's 812-867-2418. As we continue to move through the 25-week thrust that began July 13, and is to go to December 28, again, God willing, Triple T's, 2500 consecutive Saturday, please keep praying. Say that God will lead more people to pray and invest time and talent and treasure to keep Triple T Youth Ministries moving forward, telling the truth to through teenagers. The dream and heart desire is threefold. One, people praying every day, now through December 28, trusting the Lord for $250,000 by the end of the year, to keep up, catch up, and surge forward toward February 6, 2016. Second, people sowing God's ABCs extensively. We have copies for you. You can come by Triple T and pick them up, or we'll send them to you. It presents the plan of salvation. A, admit you sin for all that sin and fall short of the glory of God. B, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. There believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. C, confess Christ publicly. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised over the dead, you will be saved with the heart and one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made to salvation. During fair share this summer. Literally thousands and thousands and thousands of copies of God's ABCs were scattered among fairgoers in 12 different counties. We're thrilled because of what God has done, but we also are anticipatory about what He could do if people like you would catch the vision to get the Gospel to as many people as possible as quickly as possible. And thirdly, people who will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and share their faith in Him with family and friends. If you have not yet trusted Jesus, if you have not admitted you have sinned, believed on Him, turned to Him from your sins and received from Him the gift of God eternal life, you can do it right now. Pray this prayer with me. Dear God, I've sinned and I'm sorry, please forgive me. I turned to Jesus, your only begotten Son, who died for me, was buried in rose again, and I received from Him the gift of God eternal life and forgiveness of my personal sins. And then God wants you to tell people to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. Get involved in a Bible believing church in Sunday school and ministry right where you are. Make sure that they believe the Bible is the infallible, the inerrant, the changeless Word of God. Don't go anyplace where they're compromising scriptures, where they're adding to or taking away from God's Word. Know that God will make you usable and He will use you for His glory. Again, we invite you to be a Tiger teammate with us. We believe that as we work together, God will help us reach many, many more people than we've ever thought possible if we can connect with you. So be praying very diligently about this. Pray with us and for us, please, and let us know you're praying. We have information we would like to put into your hand so that you'll know how all this comes together. Again, we'd be delighted to have you tour the life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle. To arrange your tour, call us at airycode 812-867-2418. And we'll do our best to arrange a tour guide when you would like to come. If not, we'll try to adjust things on your ender hours and then we'll try to mesh together so that you can tour with your whole Sunday school class or your youth group or your family or whomever. Know that as you see, Jesus in the tabernacle, you will be thrilled and excited and delighted and you'll want to tell more people about who Jesus Christ really is. That Christ came to save sinners, that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again. So connect with us, we'll appreciate it very much. Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27pm, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, mid-way between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport.
