Telling The TRUTH
082413 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. When you are facing a difficult situation in your life, who do you try to go far for counsel? First, go to the Lord, and then check those people who love Him. It may be a pastor of a Bible believing church, or someone else who really understands. Listen to Proverbs 1-5, New King James Version. "A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel." Do you have a need? First, pray. Go to the Word of God, and then seek counsel from someone you trust, someone who believes the Bible is the infallible, inherent, inspired Word of God. Don't go to people who do not agree with that premise. Only go to those who really are based on the foundation of the truth of the Word of God. Pray with other believers. Consistently read the Word of God yourself, and then share your faith with those who need the Lord. Pray without ceasing. And remember, counsel is available from the Lord, and from those who know and love and serve Him. So don't try to figure it all out by yourself, but trust the Lord, and He will guide you. Counsel is mine and sound wisdom. I am understanding. I have strength. God said that, and it's recorded in Proverbs 813, New King James Version. Know that God is available to you, and His counsel can come your way through His Word. Be sure you read your Bible on a consistent basis. Be sure to look into the Scriptures. We highly recommend the book, "Where to Find it in the Bible" by Ken Anderson. God will help you when you need His counsel. He is available. So pray. Ask. Seek. And knock. Pray without our believers, and then go to those who need the Lord. With the wonderful plan of salvation that God has made available through the Lord Jesus Christ, His death, His burial, and His resurrection. Go to someone today. Pray before you go. Read the Word of God. Put the Scriptures in your heart as well as your head. Tell people to admit that they have sinned. For all have sinned. Tell them to believe on the Lord Jesus. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. And tell them to share their faith. To confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus, believing in their heart that God did indeed raise Him from the dead. When you are facing a predicament, do you have some people to whom you can go and share and ask for advice? Listen to Proverbs 11, 14, New King James Version. Where there's no counsel, the people fail. But in the multitude of counselors, there is safety. What God's Word is saying here is don't just take the advice of one person. He or she may be wrong or maybe not totally right. So go to more than one. What's a multitude? It's a bunch of folk. So bounce your circumstance with those you trust. And again, make sure that they are Bible believers totally relying on the authority of the Word of God. That's where you start. And if you are having difficulty understanding something God is saying, then go to a Bible believing pastor or someone who is knowledgeable about the Word of God. And then praying know that you can find another friend to pray with who is also a believer and together, compassionately, pray for each other and pray for those who need the Lord. When you have been counseled, share what you know with those who also have needs, especially those that are lost, those that could be saved if you would tell them the truth. Be certain that you are not thinking more highly of yourself than you ought to think. Proverbs 12, 15, the King James Version says, "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who feeds counsel is wise." That's why the body of Christ fits together. And it's outlined very specifically in Romans chapter 12. When you look into the Word of God and you see where you fit in God's scheme of things, understand that you are not the lone ranger, even he had his tanto and a faithful horse. So be sure that silver is under you wherever you are going forward, galloping in the right direction with companions who will give you counsel and listen to others, especially those who know and share God's Word. Make certain that you understand the Word of God yourself, that you are looking into what the Bible would teach you, and then find another Christian who believes the Bible is God's Word, and together look into the matter and then go in the direction God would have you to go, taking the gospel to people who need the Lord. You can, if you will, will you? Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment, but a man of understanding walks uprightly. Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors, they are established. Proverbs 15, 21 and 22, New King James Version. Don't get happy knowing that you don't have the answers. It's folly to anybody who lacks discernment. But when you have understanding, you can walk uprightly. Again, the Word of God is filled with wonderful promises and ways to let you have the discernment that you need. The Bible is the first counsel to go to, but people who are believers can help people. So go to those who believe the Word of God is totally true. And when you have fellowship with them and you share your need and you get the advice and counsel that is available, then go with the gospel to people who need the Lord, praying consistently and sharing deliberately. Make sure that when you go to someone as a prayer partner that you don't just unload on that person, but that you listen to him or her and what their needs are and pray together believing God is going to give the answer. A long time ago, a teenager taught me a valuable lesson. There are 31 chapters in Proverbs and 31 maximum days in any month. And if you read the proverb of the day, God will help you establish discernment and receive instruction. I have tried it and it works. What a wonderful lesson. And I share it with you because Proverbs in 1920, New King James Version says, "Listen to counsel and receive instruction that you may be wise in your latter days." That was several years ago now, but I continue to read the proverb of the day every single day, seven days a week, 52 weeks every year. God speaks through His Word to those who will listen to what He has to share. Read God's Word, not only the proverb of the day, but make certain that you are really into a personal investigation of what the Bible has to say. Endeavor to read every word of every book in the Bible consistently and watch God work wonderfully through His Word in your heart, in your life, for the rest of your life. Then share what you learn with others. Somebody needs to know what you know. Will you tell them the truth? You can, if you will. The decision is yours. Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out. Proverbs 25, New King James Version. When the door began to open for us to come to the tri-state area of Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky, just outside Evansville, I sought counsel from a person I respected highly. He became my major mentor. I miss him. He is now in heaven, but the advice he gave me, I still maintain. He said, "If God called you, go there, and if he really has called you, stay there, and if that's the case, be there." I said, "What does that mean?" He said, "You've traveled all over the country, speaking at youth rallies and the youth leaders, and that's a neat thing to do. And it's been beneficial for you and for others, but now you have the responsibility that makes you not take all of those opportunities, but you are going to have to stay where God has put you, and be there where you are needed to build the ministry." So every Saturday night at 7.27 PM, I am a Triple T Christian Youth Ministries just outside Evansville, Indiana, to meet with everybody that comes through the doors, and I try to never miss a single Saturday. God willing, December 28 will be our 2,500th consecutive Saturday. Every Saturday at 7.27 PM, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville, New Harmony Road, Midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. [music] You can take a quick look and listen to the ongoing impact. The continuing story of youth evangelism in America, 1931, through today, toward tomorrow. It includes the nine faith factors, and all you have to do is get our website up. That's www.tttchristianyouth.org and check where it says "video." And you can watch the video and get a glimpse into where we've been, where we are, and where God willing we're going in the days ahead. The nine faith factors, starting with pray, are projected. Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7-7, New King James Version. In December 1965, God opened the door for me to direct tri-state youth for Christ. The Lord marvelously used people to provide the down payment for a house and two-and-a-third acres at the corner of US-41 and Boomville, Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and what is now I-64. With an option on the surrounding land to total now thirty acres. Saturday, February 4, 1966, Mary and I began Triple T in the living room of that house. The vision, every youth, before turning twenty to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The mission, telling the truth, two through teenagers, to win them to Christ and train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities, and into their world wherever God leads them in their future. Between July 6 and August 10, 63 of us were involved in what we call fair share. We took the gospel to twelve county fairs and street festivals. We were involved in the Owensville, Indiana Watermelon Festival Parade. We were privileged to share in ten local churches with the congregations. It took twelve vehicles, and when we put all the mileage together as we criss-crossed the tri-state, we totaled ten thousand, three hundred and eighty-two miles. We were able to give away over seven thousand cups of cold water. We were able to give a survey to three thousand and nineteen individuals and present the gospel to admit that you've sinned, to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, to confess Him publicly with each one of them. We were able to distribute seven hundred Bibles personally. And God's ABCs that I just shared with you admit that you've sinned, believe on Christ, confess Him publicly, were shared by the thousands. And best of all, we had the privilege of seeing 183 individuals make a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. People from twenty-four counties and forty-nine towns and villages came to the fairs where we were and made decisions for Christ. And more from many other communities were at our tents, but these made decisions for Christ. So it's been a great, great summer, and we're looking forward to seeing what God's going to do in the days ahead. On the seventh of September, we're having a very special day. At three o'clock in the afternoon, we're going to be having my hope America with Billy Graham, youth leaders training seminar. And then following that, we're going to be having an opportunity to visit, to tour the Old Testament tabernacle replica. We've already had over two hundred and fifty people go through the tabernacle and more are on the waiting list to tour it. And by the way, if you want to see the tabernacle, it'll be here through the 17th of October, God willing. So call us and make a reservation. Area code 812-867-2418. Repeat, 812-867-2418. A donation of $9 per person is requested, and all of that goes to AIDS orphans and street children are ministry in Africa to the throwaway kids whose parents have died of AIDS. It's a worthy cause, but it's a wonderful, wonderful opportunity for you to view what God did as the children of Israel went across the desert for 40 years. And you'll see the tabernacle replica as authentically as we could put it together. You'll be amazed at the beauty inside the tabernacle, and at the bulk of the number one, the brazen altar, and number two, the labor, and then the beautiful furniture inside. You'll actually get to go inside the Holy of Holies, and you'll be able to view the Ark of the Covenant. The courtyard itself is 150 feet long, and it's 75 feet wide. In the gate, the multicolored gate that you go through to go into the courtyard is 30 feet wide and seven and a half feet tall. All of those dimensions are precisely the way they were outlined to Moses on Mount Sinai, as God gave him the plans for the tabernacle. And so you're invited to come and take the tour again to make your reservation, to have a tour guide available, just call area code 812-867-2418. If no one answers, just call again in a little while, and we will do our best to connect with you and the folk you want to bring to see the tabernacle. Training teenagers in pure evangelism and Christian leadership and encouraging talent development continues. Pastors and key adults with local congregations partner in youth evangelism with Triple T. It takes a praying team. Triple T's executive board invites Christian adults willing to pray and invest their talent, their time, their treasure to be Tiger teammates. Tiger means teens involved going evangelizing regularly. And they join these teenagers supporting the 10 to 19 year olds who are Tiger team members. And then we multiply the ministry, yours and ours together. As I said earlier, Triple T's 2500 consecutive Saturday of the Lord willing is to be December 28, 2013. Between now and then, we are jam packed with opportunities of outreach and things happening right here at Triple T. In addition to the happening on the 7th of September, on the 14th, the 21st and the 28th, we will continue to have wonderful happenings here. It will be moving forward to getting on campus Bible clubs going or growing. We will be working with students from different counties and circumstances and campuses to make an impact for God. The annual convention and youth workers intensive training of youth evangelism association, the 40th anniversary is coming up October 14 through 17. On the 15th at 727, the circuit rider band with motorcycle Sunday school mission will be here live and in person for a Tiger team impact evangelistic youth effort. Clyde Dupont, our very special friend, will be our guest during the October 14 through 17 convention. And our thrust scripturally is for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. First Timothy 2, 3 and 4, New King James will be featuring effective experienced youth ministry leaders. We'd like to give you information and an invitation to be a part of all of this. So again, write us or call us. The address is TTT Christian Youth Ministries. 13,000. That's 1-3-0-0-0. US Highway 41 North Evansville, Indiana 4-7-7-2-5. We'd like to send you this brochure with a picture of the band that's coming and information, picture of Clyde and Grace Dupont and some other things. So give us a call and we'll get it on its way to you or you can call the number. As we said a while ago, to book not only a tour of the tabernacle but for any other information. It's area code 812-867-2418. Our goal is to continue our public relations outreach to expand using Billboard's Internet, news stories, print, radio, social media, TV, and video. We're praying for a large digital sign on Triple T's property that will be reaching out to people 24 hours a day as we have 24,000 vehicles passing Triple T every 24 hours. Stay tuned as we share with you some more very, very intriguing and interesting information that will help you know more about what you can do to be a Tiger teammate. [Music] Will you prayerfully consider being a Tiger teammate? We're asking the Lord to give us people who will give $25 by the end of the year as we have our 2,500 consecutive Saturday. We're asking God to have some people give $250. Some 2,500. And some, God willing, may invest 25,000. That would be a fantastic thing because as God provides resources through Tiger teammates investing time, talent, and treasure, the key action plan can be put into effect and built toward reaching many more youth with the Gospel. We'll be unveiling during the YEA conference a very special plan that will be able to reach people all across America, teenagers who are Christians and preteens reaching out to their friends, to their peers and inviting them to Bible believing Sunday schools and youth groups. Again, that will be unveiled and presented during the time that we are together between October 14 and 17. Meanwhile, Triple T's 30-acre campus is being consistently developed. The renewed outdoor prayer chapel with substantial seating facing a very special cross in the wooded area is in a beautiful setting accessible along a nature trail. And the 3A-frame dorms have been enhanced, upgraded, and are being utilized for weekend peer evangelism training that we call mini-cams. We're excited about what God has done and is doing. Again, the property is being developed and we're praying for this digital sign that we'll be able to communicate what's going on here and getting the Gospel to thousands of pastors by every single day. We want you to know that when you invest $20, you become a Tiger teammate encourager. We're asking you to prayerfully add just $5 to that and make it $25 between now and the end of the year or $250 or $2,500 or as God leads you even more because as we go forward, we're going to watch the Lord do tremendous things. We're never going to raise what we call a million dimes for digital so that that sign on Highway 41 on Triple T Property can communicate messages to thousands of people every day. And we've already had lots of people who have given a dime or a dollar or $10 or $100 or more. And we want you to be praying with us and for us that that dream will become a reality very very soon. Again, every single Saturday, some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens gather at Triple T. We have reached out this year already to 15 or 16 counties and we're endeavoring to go to at least 15 more before the end of the year. We thank the Lord for those people that are coming here to view the tabernacle, to take the tour and they're coming from all over the place, from way out of the tri-state and from all three states and from many, many of the surrounding counties. And again, you're invited to bring a whole group from your church, your small group, a Sunday school class, any group that you want to put together, any age. And every Saturday, we continue to have an exciting happening. It's a fast-paced program. About every 20 minutes, things change and we're just excited because of what God has done and is doing. We've been privileged to have a lot of guests here and we'll be saluting pastors who are the friends of our ministry who have hosted us in their places of worship, with their congregations. And as I said earlier, we've been in 10 different local church settings this summer and we're going to more as God opens the doors. And we're looking forward to having the band with us that we call the circuit-writer band and we'll be putting them in places across the tri-state after the Youth of Vansesum Convention. And then we will open the doors of Triple T every night from the 2nd of November to the 9th of November to show the Billy Graham film or video because it's part of what we call My Hope America. And we're hosting that for anybody who wants to come and to bring their friends and we're going to have refreshments served. And so you can find out a whole lot more about all the things going on by calling us. Area Code 812-867-2418 or writing TTT Christian Youth Ministries, 13,000. That's 1-3-0-0 U.S. Highway 41 North, Evans, Indiana, 477-2-5. Christ, through you, can change the world.
