Telling The TRUTH
072713 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President, George Dooms. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, we're broadcasting live from a county fair. Some scriptures are straightforward, and there is no misunderstanding possible if you listen to what the Word of God says. Listen now to Luke 12, 29, New King James Version. And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink or have an anxious mind. So many people are so picky that they try so hard to say, "I don't like that or I don't want that or this is not good for you. This is not something that I can digest well." God wants us to understand that He cares about everything that happens to us. The most important phrase in this special verse is not to have an anxious mind. Anxiety will cause turmoil and sometimes tumors. Be careful and be prayerful. Seek God's will in everything that you should, but don't seek things that you shouldn't. God really does care about you. Every aspect of your life is important to Him. And it should be in your relationship with Him. God wants us not to be anxious for ourselves, but He does want us to have a compassion for the people who need to know Jesus. Will you do this? Will you pray with another believer or others? Will you read the Word of God? And then will you go with the gospel to people who need the Lord? Will you do it scripturally, personally, deliberately and urgently? We're broadcasting again from a county fair and God is a global God. He's omnipotent, He's omniscient, and God cares about you. He cares about the whole world and all the countries and all the continents and all the people. Listen to Luke 1230, New King James Version, and understand how much He cares about you personally. For all these things, the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. My God should supply all of your need according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus. God knows what you need, He knows why you need it, and He knows where you can find it. So be in a prayerful attitude all the time, seeking the will of God for every aspect of your life, and for those people for whom you are concerned, family members, friends, people that just rub your shoulders from time to time who need Jesus. And as you look at your world, as you look down deep in your heart, are you willing to believe, to go, to share, to be all God wants you to be? You can, all around us, at this fair, are people who need the Lord. Some know Him, some don't, but we're telling those who do or don't how to get to heaven, and if they know they're rejoicing, if they don't know, they can say yes to Jesus. To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ changes everything about anybody, anywhere, the moment that they trust Christ personally. From time to time, it has been my privilege to remind you of the fact that certain words that Jesus uttered are so important that they are repeated in scriptures. Most of us know Matthew 633, but here it is again the reiteration of that in Luke 1231, New King James. "But seek first the kingdom of God, and all of these things shall be added to you." We're broadcasting this week from a county fair, and we want you to know that yes, God cares about the things that you need, the things that will help you become all that you should be, and can be, and ought to be for His glory. Things mean tangible items that will help you accomplish your purpose to live for the Lord. You need things and God knows the things that you need. So seek first His kingdom. God will bless you abundantly when you put Him in first place. Care about yourself, certainly. Care about others more, and care about Jesus the most. Will you? Pray with other Christians. Read the Word of God, and then take the Gospel to people who need the Lord. That's what we're doing, in fair after fair this summer, across three states, and we are having the privilege of not only telling people about the Lord Jesus Christ and why He came, that Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, that He rose again on the third day, but how to get to heaven, when they personally turn to Him from their sins and are willing to believe on Him. Will you tell somebody? Here's one of the most pertinent scriptures in all the Bible regarding who Jesus is and why He came. Luke 19, 10, New King James says, "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." You were once lost, you still are if you haven't turned to Jesus, but if you haven't been saved from that lost condition, then you can be right now. This is why Jesus came, and He wants you and me to get in tune with Him so much so that He will help us if we will do the seeking, He will do the saving. God wants us to share the Gospel. He wants us to share the plan of salvation. I'm surrounded by people right now, the County Fair, who are doing precisely that and they're telling people how to get to heaven. But if you don't do it where you are, who's going to? If you don't do it now, when is it going to happen? You can be the catalyst, you can be the person, you can be the connector between someone who needs the Lord and Jesus. The question is, will you? Some of the world's greatest teenagers are out here sharing the way to salvation. They are seeing people say yes to Christ. They are sharing the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus. And you can too, wherever you are, whatever you're doing, just put Christ in first place, share the Gospel, tell them to admit that they've sinned to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly. Christ will save them. There is a triune God, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. John 5, 30, New King James sheds the light. Jesus said, "I of myself can do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me." Did you get that? Jesus Christ, Son of God, was sent by the Father to come to be the Savior of every sinner who will turn to Him from their sins, believe on Him until other people about Him. Jesus is God the Son, the Son of God, and on His own He doesn't do anything, only when He accomplishes God's will and God is not willing to any should perish, but it all should come to repentance. So do this. Understand how much God loves you? Turn to Jesus totally, completely, and be willing to tell other people how much He cares for them. Let them know that Christ did die for our sins. He was buried, and He rose again on the third day. And right now, He is in the saving business of people who will turn to Him. Help them know that Jesus saves. Let them know that they need to admit that they have sinned to believe on the Lord Jesus to confess Him publicly. We're the county fair right now, and all around me, people are hearing the gospel. Teenagers are sharing their faith in Christ with others. Are you willing to do that where you are to tell somebody how to get to heaven? The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to pin the words that will expose His heart and help us with some special understanding. Philippians 4 17, New King James says, "Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account." He wants the fruit to help you grow in Christ. And the word of God is quick and powerful and sharpened in a two-edged sword. And if we will listen to what God says, we will understand that, yes, we have gifts that are provided to us by God. We are not to seek the gift, but the fruit of the gift. That is the regeneration of other people who will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope that you know that God loves you so much that Jesus died for you. He rose again and He wants you to be compassionate about others who don't yet know Him. I want you to know that God will make you usable and use you if you will let that fruit abound. Will you? Will you do what some of the world's greatest teenagers who are surrounding me from all over America are doing right now at a county fair? They are telling people how to get to heaven. They are letting them know that what they need to do is to admit that they have sinned to believe on Christ to confess Him publicly. And when that happens, hearts are changed, lives are rearranged, and citizenship in heaven is established. There are people that you know that I don't know, but you could go to and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ if you will. So will you? Listen to Colossians 3-1, looking James Version. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ is. Sitting at the right hand of God. Jesus is interceding in our behalf today. And when we pray in Jesus' name, He takes those petitions straight to the Father. But Jesus also wants us to know something else. God used Paul to also put Colossians 3-2 here for us to hear. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. That's hard to do. We hear the phrase, "He's so heavenly minded, he's no earthly good." But know that this world is not our home, we're just passing through. Our citizenship is in heaven, if we are believers on Christ. But here's a circumstance. There are others around you who are not. So God wants us to look heavenly. He wants us to look up and to pray in Jesus' name for the people who need Him. And He wants us to ask Him, the Lord Jesus, to make us usable and to use us. The Father cares about every aspect of your life, but He cares about all the people in your world. Those people whom you know, your relatives, your friends, your neighbors, will you tell them the truth? All around us are teenagers sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ at a county fair. Jesus said, "I am the way of the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except by me." Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T. 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. We're broadcasting live from a county fair. Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries has been privileged to go to county after county this summer and by the end of the summer, ending at Ag Days in Mount Carmel, Illinois, we have been privileged to go to 12 different counties at least. They share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to interview people, to take surveys about teenagers, and then to ask them the question, if they would die tonight would they go to heaven and how do they know? And with me is a guy named Timothy. Timothy, tell us what your last name is. Peterson. Timothy Peterson. And Timothy, where do you live? Merritt Island, Florida. Timothy is a part of the Team Missions International Team. Timothy, two years ago you were here and you were almost too young to do it, but you did it anyway, didn't you? Yep. And how many people did you lead to the Lord then or do you remember? Oh, I don't know. I'm not sure. But several. Yeah. Okay. Can you give anybody to Christ this summer? Yes, I have. Wonderful. And you've been at two other fairs besides this one. Yes, sir. One of those was in Richland County, Illinois. Is that correct? Correct. And then the other one was in... Gibson. Gibson County, Indiana. All right. And now Warwick County, Indiana. And what of the light it is to have you sharing Jesus as you are so effectively and so directly. And tell us how it's like or what it's like to share the gospel with somebody after doing a survey. And then having the privilege of telling them how to get to heaven. It's great. It's just nice knowing going to bed and knowing that other people said you are going to heaven. Okay. And what do you tell them how to get to heaven? I tell them that even God's ABC is a triple T card. I tell us what those ABCs are. A is... Admit you sin. Admit you sin. And what's the verse? Romans 3, 23. For all of sin. For all of sin, full short of the glory of God. Right. And the next verse is Romans 6, 23. For the wages of sin? The wages of sin is death because it gets to God as eternal life to Jesus Christ our Lord. And then you tell them what Jesus said, John 3, 16. And that is... For God to love the world that he gave his only begotten Son and that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Okay. That's a great way to get to heaven. And then we're supposed to do something and that's to confess with our mouths of our Jesus, right? That's what you tell people to do and that's what's been happening. Well Timothy, it's great to have you as a part of this whole outreach that we call fair share. God bless you and we hope that God will open other doors of other hearts of other people while you're with us all the way through Agnes in Mount Carmel. God bless you Timothy. Thank you. You've just met Timothy Peterson. Now I'd like you to meet his father, Steve, who is the coordinator, the director, the main man on the campus here at the fair and the one that's putting all these things together from Teen Missions International in Merritt Island, Florida. Steve, I don't know how many times you've been up here in Indiana at Triple T but I know this is at least your second fair share time. Yes it is. So tell us about what's going on and how this compares to the last time you were here and what you anticipate God's going to do tonight in the days ahead. Well George, we couldn't be more excited to be here. As you said our second time to bring a team up here, my wife Gay and I, our son Timothy and daughter Faith have been up here leading teams two different years now. And here at the fair we're at Work County right now and we've already seen 45 conversations about the Lord. We've given out surveys and three of those have resulted in decisions for Christ and so we're very excited about what God is doing here. And as I speak there's two other teams that are out in Pike County and also in McLean, Kentucky that are sharing. And so we'll look forward to hearing the reports from those other groups when we get back tonight. We're looking forward to being at Ag Days in Mount Carmel for the wrap up of fair share of 2013. We started in Richland County, Illinois, went to Posy County, Indiana and the Gibson County, Indiana last week. And it just keeps going and going and going and we're thrilled about what God has done and is doing and wants to do. So all of you that are listening please pray with us and for us and you're invited to come to Triple T tonight is the 27th of July. By the way my son who does the background engineering and the producing of this broadcast happens to have a birthday today. So happy birthday James Lawson Dumes on July the 27th. And we hope that you all will come tonight because the team from Team Missions International will be doing some very special things. We're probably going to persuade them to actually do puppets at the rally if possible. And they do drama and they do some music and the interactions. That's going to be a great great happening and God's going to bless abundantly tonight at Triple T at 727. Also you can tour the Old Testament tabernacle replica. It's happening all the time just call us for an appointment. 812-867-2418. Repeat 812-867-2418. And we would like very much to have you take a tour of the tabernacle already some people from Mount Carmel Illinois and from down in Dixon, Kentucky and so forth have been here today. And we're looking forward to more being with us and you're invited. Now Steve I know that you have been a part of all this for a long long time and you've done a lot of things in addition to fair share. You've come to Evansville for another thing that's called Winter Jam and you've been here in these two years and you anticipate coming back, is that correct? It's been a real privilege for Team Missions to partner with Winter Jam. We've been on the tour for two years traveling to each of the cities, 52 cities across the U.S. And at each location the gospel is shared clearly with the audience. Half of a million people attend the Winter Jam tours the largest music tour in the world and we're inviting kids to pray about giving God a summer in missions. And so we attend the tour travel on the bus with Newsong and we invite young people at each city to give God a summer and go out and just work, minister to the orphans, do medical missions, sports, outreaches, work projects, whatever God calls them to do. One of the things that we have the privilege of doing is partnering with Team Missions International and Triple T at Winter Jam. And also we're hosting the Old Testament tabernacle replica and Steve led a group of people up from Team Missions to do the setup. And we thought it was going to take a couple of days and it took a week but it's often running and every day almost without exception. We're having people tour the tabernacle and we've had several of them that have already said yes to Jesus. They've admitted that they've seen, they've believed on Christ, they've confessed Him right there as they have seen Christ in the tabernacle. And we look forward to more Saturday nights with the Team Missions team. They'll be with us God willing not only tonight but into August. On August the third is going to be what we call Big Splat and Big Splat is our annual Watermelon Night. So we start out that day participating in the Owensville, Indiana Watermelon Festival Parade. So the kids from across America who are part of Team Missions will be marching with the Traveling Tigers on that parade in Owensville, Indiana. And if you're in that area just be sure you come out to see us that's next Saturday. I think it starts about 10 something in the morning and we'll wave at you and you wave at us and we'll give you a copy of what we call God's ABCs that Timothy was talking about a while ago. We want you to know that God loves you Jesus died for you and we're still all around us here at the fair having people taking surveys that are being presented by the Team Missions team. And during all of this time that they're here we've also been able to do some work projects. We built or rebuilt the prayer chapel out on the back 20 part of our acreage and what a beautiful spot it is that God's given us. Steve anything you want to tell the people that are listening about why they need to know Jesus Christ is their savior and what they ought to do about it and you can even invite them to Triple T if you'd like to. Well we are just honored to be able to partner with Triple T and we are eager to have an opportunity to share about the love that Jesus has shown for us and making a way for us to receive eternal life through his shed blood on the cross. And it's a good message it's an encouraging message to understand that we can't pay the price for our sin ourselves the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. And that's the message that our kids are sharing at the fair right now as I speak and it's a good message of good news that if we confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead we shall be saved. So we invite anyone who's listening to consider their own condition and if you've never prayed and received Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior there's not a better time than right now the Bible says today is the day of salvation and we would just encourage you to join with us wherever you're listening and give God your life tonight or today wherever you're listening and realize that he came to set free those that are in bondage and to give eternal life. Steve thank you very very much and we'd like you to meet Steve in person and Timothy too and all the other teammates by coming tonight to triple T and being a part of what we call a tiger team impact youth evangelism effort. It happens every Saturday and tonight is no exception and you're invited to be with us. We're located four miles north of the airport four miles south of I-64 on US-41 at Booneville and Harmony Road. Stay listening we're going to give you more details about the Old Testament tabernacle replica and about other things that are happening and how you can be a vital part of all this by becoming a tiger teammate and becoming a part by praying and investing time and talent and treasure for God's glory. Thank you for listening stay tuned don't go away because we're coming back with something very very special just for you. Thank you and again in just a moment more news. On the 13th of July triple T started 25 weeks of outreach all the way toward December 28th for what will be God willing our 2,500 consecutive Saturday. It's been a great ride since February 4 of 1966 without missing so far a single solitary Saturday. We've been privileged to work with some of the world's greatest teenagers. Right now we have them from all over the United States that are here. 14 different states and they have been sharing Christ at County Fairs street festivals and it's going to go all the way through the 10th of August. But after July and August we keep on going and in September we're getting ready for a thing called CO2 poll and we'll be working with teenagers to get on campus Bible clubs going all over the area within 100 miles of triple T's headquarters four miles north of the airport four miles south of Interstate 64 within a 100 mile radius there are 93 counties over 400,000 kids between the ages of 10 and 19. And each of those youth need to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ before turning 20. We had one of our teenagers this week that just turned 20 and she felt like she was going over the hill. But God has done wonderful things and we're looking forward to what he's going to be doing. During the month of October we are hosting the youth evangelism association national convention the 40th annual convention and doing what we call youth workers intensive training. And again people from all the United States will be with us and you're invited to to come and learn how to effectively work with kids. We are starting an outreach next year that will go for three years before Easter and after Easter in 2014, 2015, 2016 that we call restart. Restart your Sunday school to reach out to 10 to 19 year olds or your local church youth group. And we're doing the training and the teaching and the sharing of how to do it. The teenagers are being challenged to invite their friends to come to Sunday school for nine weeks between March the 9th and May the 4th. In that nine week period and Easter of course is the 20th of April of next year. And we're looking forward to seeing what God is going to do but meanwhile back at the ranch we'll be sharing all the how-tos of this at the youth evangelism association convention. We're also hosting at that a group that is called the Motorcycle Sunday School Circuit Riders. They're a group of excellent singers and musicians. They play banjos and ukuleles and guitars and drums and it's a neat neat sound and all original music. And they're going to be with us. We're also looking forward to following that, to moving into several churches in the area for another week with the circuit riders. And then comes November. November is when we're doing My Hope America with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and we're sharing the gospel. We're asking people to become Matthews to invite people to their homes to their entities and we're going to host this every single night at Triple T so that people can have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe. We're asking people to think now about who they could invite, who they could bring to hear the gospel. And then comes December. And in December, we're celebrating Jesus' birthday. We have one of the greatest trumpeters I've ever encountered. His name is Chiz Rider from Pennsylvania. He's coming in for Jesus' birthday party on the 7th of December. So we're celebrating Jesus' birthday, December 7, 14, 21, then comes Christmas and then comes the 28th. Again, God willing, Triple T's 2,500th consecutive Saturday. So put those things on your calendar. We're going to let you know why happens when and how it all comes together. So keep praying with us in for us. We invite you to be a Tiger teammate. Every person who invests $20 becomes a Tiger teammate encourager. When you invest $20 a month, a Tiger teammate enlarger when you become a $100 a month donor, give her to God through Triple T, you become a Tiger teammate expander. And we're expanding the ministry out beyond where we are right now. God willing next year we'll be going across America with this great idea of getting people back to Sunday school that we call restart. So to get more information, come on tonight or give us a call or check the website. Again, we're glad you've been listening. We want you to know that God loves you. Jesus died for you. If you believe in Christ, you can go to heaven. And tonight, come to Triple T, meet the team that we've already been talking about, meet the people that you've heard on radio, and bring a friend. It's going to be a great, great Saturday and you're invited to come and be with us live and in person. Know that as you come, that God can do something special in your heart and through your words to allow you to impact your world. Know this, God loves you, Jesus died for you, and He wants you to tell the truth. No, Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US 41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, Midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org.
