Telling The TRUTH
071313 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Proverbs 8, 17. New King James Version has a marvelous promise just for you. Listen, "I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me." Are you seeking the Lord? Are you looking for His best for everything that happens in your life, in your circumstance, in your family, in your congregation? Are you diligently seeking the Lord? Diligence is a consistent way of going about endeavoring to do what God would have you to do. So diligently seek Him, love Him. God loves you, and He wants you to love Him back. And He wants you to love others as yourself. And He wants you to love others enough to pray with them, and for them, and about them. And then God wants you to look into the Word of God in a very special way. I recommend highly that you read the proverb of the day, every day. 31 maximum days in a month, 31 chapters in Proverbs. Read it, and heat it, and then share your faith in Christ. If you love the Lord enough, you will love others as yourself so much that you don't want them to miss eternity. So tell them God's wonderful, great news. Jesus cares. Christ died. He was buried, and He rose again, and He wants to give the gift of God eternal life. Have you ever been like a little boy or a little girl in a candy store? And you just went in and put your quarters on the counter, and you picked up the candy, and you ate, and ate, and ate, and now you have a tummy ache. Proverbs 25, 27, New King James Version says, "It is not good to eat much honey, so to seek one's own glory is not glory." Sometimes we bask in the commendations of other people, and we say, "Wow, I must be okay." Don't let somebody else's words about you in flattery adversely affect you. But humble yourself before God. Seeking your own glory is not glory at all. It's like eating too much honey, and it will ultimately make you sick at your stomach. So what do you do? You look in a mirror, and you say, "I'm only one, but I am who I am because God loves me in spite of myself. I am a sinner, a sinner saved by grace if I have believed on the Lord Jesus. And because He has done this for me, I owe it to Him to tell others about Him and to share good news of Jesus Christ with a world in need, one by one. Someone is waiting for you to go tell them the truth. We live in a very evil society, in a world where justice is really not responded to as it should be by most people. Why? Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all. Proverbs 28.5, New King James Version. Let's look at this again. Evil men do not understand justice. They can't comprehend it. They can't fathom real justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it okay. When you read God's Word, and when you learn from God's Word how to live, when you pray, pray directly first for yourself and then for others, God will help you to seek His face and to understand things. Know this. There are people who are lost. Everyone without Jesus is lost, lost forever. So go with God's plan of salvation and tell them how to be saved. Let them know that Jesus Christ, the Virgin-born Son of God, lived perfectly, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures. That's the gospel. Believe on Christ and be saved. The Holy Spirit gave Ezekiel some very special insights. Listen to Ezekiel 3411, New King James Version. "For thus says the Lord God, 'Indeed I myself will search for my sheep and seek them out.'" That's a fantastic verse. So many people don't understand that God really does the seeking. Oh, we can say we are a seeker, but it is we who are lost. God is not lost, and He is going to search for His sheep, and He is going to seek them out. Are you one of those lost sheep? If you are, turn to Jesus. Christ died for you. He died so you can live. He was buried after His death, and He rose again, and today He wants you to have life, abundant, everlasting life. If you've not yet done it, say God, I have sinned, and I am sorry, and turn to Jesus in repentance, asking Him to forgive you, and to give you the gift of God, eternal life. And once you have received His gift, read His word, pray, and then share your faith with people like you who don't yet know Jesus. Tell them how, to admit they've sinned, to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly. It's county fair time around where we live, and there are sheep on display at the fairs, but they don't come in by themselves, they have to be brought in. Listen to Ezekiel 3412, New King James Version. As a shepherd seeks out His flock on the day, He is among the scattered sheep. So will I seek out my sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day. Cloudy dark days are not fun. We've just experienced some of that where we live, have you? But in the middle of it all, God cares, and He is going to deliver His sheep from places where they were scattered. No matter what the atmosphere, no matter what the temperature, no matter what the elements might be, God loves the sheep. Are you one of His sheep? God loves you if you are, and God wants you to come together in a relationship with Him that will cause you to grow in Christ as you read the word of God, as you pray with others and for others, and then as you go to other lost sheep with the gospel of the Lord Jesus. Someone is waiting for you to tell them the truth. Will you? Do you know the truth? Jesus said you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. So tell someone the truth today. Listen to Hosea 515, who can James Version. I will return again to my place till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek my face, and their affliction they will diligently seek me. When people understand they are sinners, when they know that they have offended God Almighty, not only do they know, but the Lord knows and He knew all the time. If the circumstances really overwhelm them, seeking God, crying out, "Lord save me, Lord help me," is the cry of the fear of people who are desperate. God wants us all the time to seek His fellowship. He is seeking us, and once the Lord has found us, then we are to seek Him consistently, diligently, in our afflictions, and we all have them. Will you pray for God to make you usable and then use you? Will you fellowship with the Lord and with other believers? Will you really look into the Word of God? I recommend that you read the Bible book by book, and as you let the Lord speak to you, you will understand how great He is, how gracious He is, how much He cares, and how He is indeed in charge of the entire universe. Do you live in an agricultural area? If so, you understand why I am about to share with you. If not, talk to a farmer sometime soon. Hosea 1012, Nuking James says, "So for yourself's righteousness, reap and mercy, up your follow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord till He comes and reigns righteousness on you." Those metaphors are very, very effective if you understand how it works to sow, to reap, to know that you have got to break up that follow ground first before you plant the seeds. And then once having plowed it, you know that God is going to bring His reign. His reign of righteousness, and you are going to grow in Christ. Now, by reading the Word of God, by doing what the Word of God says, by praying diligently, consistently, all the time, and having fellowship with other believers, and together, plowing that follow ground and knowing that God is going to help you sow the seeds of the Gospel, and you are going to reap some results. The result that we want to reap is, and the Word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. That's why we come to you every day sharing this good news that God loves you. Jesus died for you, and He wants you to share your faith in Him with a world, person-by-person, who needs the Lord. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Today begins 25 weeks, a thrust with the Gospel throughout the Tri-State and far beyond. This is Jesus Christ Change in the World Day at Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. From 10 o'clock this morning through 9 o'clock tonight, people are going to be coming, they're going to be learning, they're going to be hearing about what God is doing right across this area and around the world. We're excited about the Dream Center, the Evansville Christian Life Center, House of Hope, I Am Second, my hope America with Billy Graham, restoring our heritage right to life of Southwest Indiana. River City Faith Fest, Youth Evasim Association and the Affiliated Ministries, AIDS Orphans and Street Children, Motorcycle Sunny School Mission and Teen Missions International. It's been our privilege to share with kids who are out now serving the Lord all over the world. They have gone from Teen Missions International in Merritt Island, Florida to Canada. They have gone to the Bahamas, to Belize, to Haiti, to Honduras, to Panama, to Ecuador, to Peru, to Scotland, to Estonia, to Ireland, to Wales, to Germany, to Spain, to Italy. They have gone to Israel, to southern Sudan, Uganda, Cameroon, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, South Africa. They've gone to Russia, to Mongolia, to India, to Myanmar, to the Philippines, to Cambodia, to Indonesia, to Bonattu, to Australia, and here, to the Tri-State, to the headquarters of Triple T Christian Youth Ministries to go to the County Fairs and Street Festivals with us this summer. Yes, Teen Missions International has sent 42 teams serving in 34 countries right now. Pray for them, backpack, medical, orphan care, motorcycles, sports, drama, music. There have been adults that have been going, and there are teenagers, 13 to 19, preteens, 10 to 13, peanuts, ages 7 to 9, and even mustard seeds, ages 4, 5 and 6. It's a thrill to cooperate with Teen Missions International, and the group that is here is going to be sharing not only today at Triple T, but they will be in local churches across the Tri-State each Sunday morning and each Sunday evening, tomorrow, and then they will be going to the County Fairs and will be having God doing wonderful things as we give away free ice water, as we survey people about teenagers, as we share the Gospel, and as we give away Bibles to the 10 to 19-year-olds who come by our 10 by 10 tents at fair after fair in county after county. They're going to share the Gospel right here, and after their boot camp training, they have come across the Tri-State and they're going to be continuing. Thousands of people will attend the Fairs and they'll be one-on-one sharing. They're going to get to spend a day at Holiday World at Santa Claus, Indiana. They're going to be able to ride on the voyage roller coaster, and they're going to be able to be at Splash and Safari, and then we're going to be letting them go on the wild beast. In addition to all that, they're going to have the opportunity of finding out where Abraham Lincoln grew up, and then they're going to Indiana's oldest restaurant, the famous log in just up the road from Triple T. God's doing wonderful things, and we're excited about the people that are coming our way, and we hope that you'll be able to meet them when they come to your town. We hope that you'll be able to see them and to enjoy fellowship with them, and to find out where they're from. They're coming from across America, and it's really neat to put a team together that is going to go out and share Jesus Christ with people they've never seen before and will probably never see again this side of eternity, but some of them are going to hear the Gospel. Some of them are going to become believers in Jesus Christ. Some of them are going to hear the Gospel and they're going to believe and they're going to spend eternity with those that they are sharing with at the fairs. What a wonderful thing it is to know that God puts us together with people who need to hear and people who are willing to share. Fair share is a wonderful, wonderful series of opportunities, and again, pray with us and for us and be a part of all of this. We invite you to prayerfully consider being a tiger teammate. Tiger means teens involved going evangelizing regularly. And what a privilege to train these people from across America at the Lord's Boot Camp at Meridine on Florida before they got here and then to work with them while they're here and to make sure that they are effectively sharing their faith in Christ. It's a marvelous, marvelous opportunity and a God-given privilege to do these things. But you can have a vital part, number one, by praying. We need people praying every single day, especially during these 25 weeks that begins today, and goes all the way through God willing to 28th of December. When we will celebrate 2,500 consecutive Saturdays, again, God willing. The Lord has been gracious and good and wonderful to us, and we've been privileged to go with the Gospel, and people have come here to hear the Gospel at Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries. On our 30-acre campus, Highway 41, Boovaller Harmony Road, we have the old-fashioned tabernacle replica here. It's actually the Old Testament tabernacle. It is old-fashioned because it goes way back thousands and thousands of years. God gave Moses the plans on Mount Sinai, and it is a replica that is to the dimensions that God gave Moses precisely. The courtyard is 150 feet long, 75 feet wide. The tabernacle itself is 15 feet across, 45 feet long, and 15 feet high. The holy place is 30 by 15 by 15 high. The holy of holies is a cube, 15 by 15 by 15. If you haven't seen it, you're invited to come. Call us first, make your reservation. The number to call is area code 812-867-2418. The number again, area code 812-867-2418. We ask you to really let us know how many are coming. We've already had people here from all over the tri-state and way beyond, and we're expecting people from lots and lots of places, including where you are. So make your reservations and make sure there's a tour guide available from 9 o'clock to 4 o'clock Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and by appointment only on Saturdays and Sundays. So call and make your reservation. Again, that number, area code 812-867-2418. And when you send your gift, remember we're asking God to give us people. In this 25-week surge forward, this outreach series that goes all the way to the end of the year to give a dollar a week or $10 a week or $100 a week average. Whatever God leads you to do, doesn't have to be that exact amount. It can be whatever you want it to be. But if you will have a part in all of this, it can be tremendous as we are able to reach more and more people with God's glorious gospel. We have teams that are on the road and we're going out and we're sharing Jesus. But we need you to support the ministry so that we can reach more and more people. We want to give Bibles away to as many people as we possibly can. And they're not free. We have to buy them. We have to put the packages together. But God is providing. And He provides it through people like you who will pray and who will give. And we hope you will. We hope that you will understand that as you are a giver, God will not ever let you out give Him. He just does not allow that to happen. And I've seen the Lord do things time after, time after, time all my life. And especially during the 47 years we've been here. I've seen the Lord provide things that are really just unbelievable as far as the secular mind would be concerned. I've seen Him move in and provide doctors. I've seen Him move in and provide things. I've seen Him provide vehicles. I've seen Him provide personnel who will invest their time and their talent and their treasure to accomplish things for the glory of the Lord. So you can have a part in all of this. You can invest your time, your talent, and/or your treasure. And again, we hope you will. The address is TTT 13,000, that's 13,000 U.S. Highway 41 North. Evansville, Indiana 47725. Or you can come by even tonight. It's going to be a free pizza party after the rally. And you're invited to participate in that and meet some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens and some very, very outstanding Christian leaders who are at TTT today. And you're going to have the privilege of knowing those folks and being involved in something very, very special. You will see in action creative Christian communicators. So come on out tonight if you can. But meanwhile, know that as you pray, God can use you in wonderful, wonderful ways. ♪♪ It's a joy and a privilege to partner with Teen Missions International. For 40 years, they have been sending kids all over the world to get dirty for God. All ages now, and they are serving on all of the populated continents, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America. We have a very special person. She is a Tiger teammate, and she is one of those special Tiger teammates. She is one of those people that gives consistently. She's from New Zealand. Her accent is really, really unique and charming. She coordinates the Ministries for Teen Missions in New Zealand and in Australia, and all over that particular area. In addition to that, she is a very fluent speaker of Spanish, and so she's in charge of the Ministry of Teen Missions in South America in Ecuador. She also works with all of the Central American missions that work with Teen Missions because of her Spanish expertise. Her name is Elizabeth Little. Her husband, Robin, was a special friend, and God called him home. They were missionaries in South America, both from New Zealand. And God has used Elizabeth in a special way. She's a registered nurse and she is so compassionate about people, but she really has a heart for Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. And so she invests of herself, of her treasure, in this ministry, as well as those around the world. What about you? Are you willing to invest some of your God-given talent and treasure and time to help us reach more people for Christ? We hope you will. During this 25 weeks, that begins today and goes through the 28th of December, God willing, for our 2,500 consecutive Saturday. We're doing some special events, outreaches every month, July, August, September, October, November, and December. And right now, we need your help. We need your prayers. And certainly, the expenses are extremely high during the summertime, because we are sending vehicles to fair after fair. Did you know that at least three of the weeks that we're out, that three fairs are going on simultaneously, so we have to send three vehicles with three teams, with all of the tents, and all of the paraphernalia, and all the happenings out simultaneously to these different places? Sometimes, we're in all three states at the same time. And so we need your support, your prayers, and your investment. Will you prayerfully consider giving a dollar a week for 25 weeks, or $10 a week, or even $100 a week average? Pray. Ask God what you should give, what you should do, and He'll lead you, He'll guide you, He'll direct you. And I believe that if people will listen to the Lord, every need will be supplied, and we'll be able to multiply this ministry again and again and again. The greatest need in the world is this, but if our gospel be hidden, it is hidden of those that are lost, those that are perishing. Jesus gave us the plan. Jesus said, "Go, go into all the world, and preach, proclaim, "proclimate, publicize, promote the gospel to everybody everywhere." And that's what we're endeavoring to do. That's why we partner with AIDS, orphans, and street children. Triple T has a rescue unit for kids whose parents have died of AIDS, one in Cameroon in Africa, one in Uganda in Africa. We also sponsor 12 motorcycle Sunday schools. They are all over Africa, and kids come, and they are attending Sunday school. Sometimes it's on Monday, sometimes Tuesday, sometimes Wednesday, sometimes Thursday, sometimes Friday, but we call it Sunday school because it's all the Sunday school lesson, and they learn how to read, how to write, how to speak, how to share. They memorize God's Word, they learn about Jesus. We are averaging 200 every week in our 12 Sunday schools. It's amazing what God has done and is doing and wants to do, and we want to reach more. And if you come today, you'll hear more about the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission, AIDS, Services, Street Children, Teen Missions International, and many of our local ministries, the Dream Center, Amazon Christian Life Center, right to life of this area, and on it goes. So, come on, be a part of things. You still have time to rearrange your whole schedule and come any time today. It starts at 10 o'clock, it ends at 9 o'clock tonight. Especially come for the rally, 7.27 pm, four miles north of the airport, four miles south of Interstate 64. Know this, Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27 pm, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 north at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport.
