[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." When he came to the place, he said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." Luke 22.40, New King James Version. "Temptation is everywhere. Temptation is going to come your way that won't be too hot for you to handle if you pray and you present your body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is the most reasonable thing in the whole wide world you can possibly do." So pray. "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." Jesus said, "Will you pray that? Pray that you won't be tempted not to share your faith because to him who knows to do good and does not do it to him it is sin. Make certain that you are doing the right thing at the right time under the right circumstance and not doing the wrong thing. Never go anyplace or do anything where you can't pray. God's Word says, "Pray without ceasing." So pray consistently that God will keep you from entering into temptation. Temptations are going to be all around you. They're going to surround you, but you don't have to yield. You don't have to give in. God will help you. He will strengthen you. He will guide you. He will direct you. Read his word. Pray diligently and fellowship with other believers. Stay close to the Lord. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14, 6, New King James Version. Do you believe that? There's only one way to God and that way is a person. That person is a virgin born, sinless living, crucified, buried, risen Jesus Christ. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and he rose again and now he wants you to know who he is. The way, the truth, the life. People are waiting to hear that truth and someone like you needs to tell the truth. Jesus said, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." So let's pray always without ceasing under every circumstance for ourselves, for others, and especially for those who need the Lord. Get a prayer partner, pray together, read God's Word, heed God's Word, and then share God's Word with those who need to know him as the way, as the truth, as the life. Someone is waiting for you. Will you be the one to be the Christian communicator, to go to them with God's unfailing truth? Do you really personally believe on him? Have you turned to him from your sins? Have you asked for forgiveness? Have you told someone that you believe? If so, Jesus prayed for you. Listen to John 17, 9, New King James Version. Jesus said, "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours." Capital Y. God has given Jesus believers, people like you, people like me, and He is praying for us. Isn't that fantastic? Jesus Christ, Son of God, saver the world, praying for you and for me? Now what are we going to do about it? We are to answer His prayer by being harvesters in the field that is ripe, by getting partners to pray with us, and taking the gospel to those who need to know Him. Sewing the seeds of God's good news, watering those seeds that have been planted, and then sharing the gospel of Jesus one-on-one with people who need the Lord. So, water, reap, help the harvest happen. What partners God want you to have? Determine it and do it. Listen to Jesus' personal petition to God the Father. John 1715, New King James Version. "I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil one." What a wonderful petition to the Lord. God cares about you, and He knows temptations are going to surround you. But He has also told you through His Word, "Greater is He that is in Me than He that is in the world." God is going to keep us in the world as salt and light. So, those who don't know Jesus can see Him in us and through us. We need to make certain that we are totally in tune with the Lord, and we are surrendered to Him in every aspect of our lives, that we are not yielding the temptation, that we are reading the Word of God, that we are doing what the Word of God tells us, that we are having fellowship with other believers in a very forthright and a very wholesome and holy way. God wants to make us usable, and He wants to use us to communicate Christianity, even by the very lives that we live to a world in desperate need. They need Jesus. Everyone does, and there is someone that you could reach if you would pray, read, and then take God's Word to people. Indeed, if you are a believer, Jesus prayed for you. John 1720, New King James Version says, "I do not pray for those alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their Word." That means because you and I, if we have indeed trusted Jesus Christ, we know that He has prayed for us. God's Word says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord." Jesus said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." And we are to tell people that we believe, confessing with our mouth of Lord Jesus. And as we look at these words from God's Word, as believers on the Lord Jesus, we have been prayed for by Him because we have believed through the words of others that have shared the truth. Now it becomes our turn at that. Now we are ready, hopefully and willingly, to take the gospel to others who need Jesus. The question is, will you do that? Tell the truth to someone today. Sometimes life gets almost overwhelming. It's even difficult to put words together to tell God what's on our hearts. But if you are a believer, He will pray for you. Listen to Romans 826, New King James Version. Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. We do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. So just yield yourself to the Lord. Say, "God, I don't even know what to say, but I need you. I need you now, and He will articulate your need, the desires of your heart directly to the Father through Jesus. The Holy Spirit will indwell each believer, and He will enable each of us who trust the Lord to let our petitions be made known to Him from our heart of hearts, even without words. If you believe that, God can make you a very special person for His glory. He wants you to be concerned about other people. He wants you to pray with others when and where you can. He wants you to read the Word of God. Why not read the entire eighth chapter of Romans? It's a magnificent series of words from God that will tremendously help you if you will do what God says in that very special chapter. That's Romans 8. Read it and do what it says. May I share a very personal request with you today. It's recorded in 1 Thessalonians 525, New King James Version. This is what God's Word says. Brethren, pray for us. If you are indeed a believer in Christ, you are my brother or my sister in the Lord. So my request to you is to pray for us. We have the privilege of sharing the gospel on radio, personally, and in all kinds of ways. We have billboards and the internet and printed page, but one-on-one is what is happening consistently. Division, every youth before turning twenty to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus. Our mission to communicate Christianity to and through youth, to win them to Christ, to train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities, and into their world wherever God leads them in their future. Will you pray that the mission will become reality again and again as youth catch the vision, as more are trained, and then share their faith with their family, with their friends, with their world? If you pray, God will hear an answer. Thank you for considering this very personal prayer during this time of need as we go with the gospel to county fair, street festivals, and on through every door God opens. Ideally, three evangelistic youth events will be pursued in each community annually, fall and spring during the school year and summer fair share. St. Corinthians 10, 12-18, New King James Version spells it out. For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves, but they measuring themselves by themselves and comparing themselves among themselves ourselves are not wise. We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of this fear which God appointed us, a fear which especially includes you. For we are not extending ourselves beyond our fear, thus not reaching you, for it was to you that we came to the Gospel of Christ, not boasting of things beyond measure, that is in other men's labors, but having hope that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere, to preach the Gospel to the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's sphere of accomplishment. But you glories, let him glory in the Lord. For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends. That's our prayer, that's our goal, that's our purpose, that's who we are, Triple D Christian Youth Ministries. God has opened door after door, in place after place, all across not only the tri-state, but across America. In the 47-plus years that we've been privileged to be here at Triple T, starting in our living room with just two teenagers, God has been gracious, and He's allowed Mary and me to go together all the way to the West Coast, to Portland, Oregon, all the way to the East Coast, to New York City, and to Pennsylvania a couple of times, and to Florida, and to Texas, and to Michigan, and a lot of places in between. Again, we go where God opens the doors, but we're here on Saturdays, and when we travel between Saturdays, it's to communicate Christianity. But when we're here on Saturday nights, it's to give the Gospel to everybody who goes through those doors, and some of the greatest teenagers in the world go through the doors of Triple T week by week and Saturday by Saturday. Again, God willing, between the 13th of July and December 28, in those 25 weeks, we'll be taking the Gospel out across the area and way, way beyond. We'll be training people who'll be going out all over the world this summer and get dirty for God, to go lay bricks in every continent and many, many countries, and many are coming here. We should have a team of about 20 from Teen Missions International that will be gathering in here the first week of July, and on July the 13th, you'll meet them at Jesus Christ, changing the world's summit, and you are hereby invited. We're going to have a noon meal, we're going to have a basket with all kinds of stuff, with a cheeseburger and french fries and a drink, and then we're going to wrap up the day following the rally on Saturday night with a pizza party. It's going to be an exciting day. And from that moment on, out across the county, fairs in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky, even going to street festivals like Ag Days in Mount Carmel, Illinois, and then the next month, that is in October, going to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival here in Evansville, putting together the Sea with the Pole outreach for teenagers to meet at the flagpoles, at their schools, middle school, high school, college, worldwide, and we're going to be the catalyst to try to inform people here in the tri-state to do precisely that. And then we'll have the privilege of working with people from across the country in the Youth Evangelism Association, 40th Anniversary Convention, and the Youth Worker's Intensive Training Week that will equip people to go to put together a key impact. Evangelistic youth effort everywhere that they go. We're thrilled and excited and delighted because of what God has done and is doing, but we want you to be praying with us and for us. And we do want to talk with you for just a moment, so please listen. Don't turn it off now. Don't tune us out, but listen. Did you know God can make you usable and can use you in a very special way? Just investing $20 makes you an encourager and provides a scholarship for another 10 to 19 year old to be trained in peer evangelism and leadership. And if you want to give $20 a month, God can use you to help enlarge this ministry. To go further and further and further with a gospel, and if you want to give $100 a month, God can make you an expander. And we are expanding as God opens doors and makes it possible, but we need you. So please pray about being a part of all of this and communicate with us. Our website is tttchristianyouth.org, starting with www, of course. And we want to hear from you. We want you to look into what's going on and to check us out. And then we also want you to come by. We have the Old Testament tabernacle replica here, and it's a fantastic thing to experience. Those who go in come out in awe saying they didn't know that God did such magnificent things, and it's beautiful to behold. It doesn't look beautiful on the outside, but when you get inside, it is absolutely striking. And we want you to see it, to absorb it, to observe it, and to really be able to share what you see here about who Jesus is and how the Lamb of God came to take away the sins of the world. The Bible says Christ came to save sinners. And so we want you to know who He is and how He fits into the Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled as God gave us this place where He lived, the Old Testament tabernacle. So call us and work out of time for you to come and see it. ♪♪ A life-size replica of the Old Testament tabernacle is a Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, 13,000 U.S. Highway 41 North at Booneville, New Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and I-64. When I was about four years old, I was on my way to a Tom Mix circus with my dad in Terrehold, Indiana. Looked up in the sky and saw for the first time in my little life, sky-writing, and in the cloud that was coming out of puffs from the back of the airplane was a words "shell, gas, and oil." I was fascinated. I had already seen an airplane at night for the first time, and I really wanted to know more about flying. When I was 14 years old, our neighbor had an airplane. It was a tailor craft, and I had the opportunity at the ripe old age of 14 of taking my first airplane ride, and the instructor took me out over the swimming pool in my hometown of Mount Carmel, and he said, "I understand you want to learn to fly." And I said, "Yes," he said, "Okay, take us back to the airport." And I said, "What?" He said, "Yes, take us back to the airport." You couldn't do that. I said, "How do I know where the airport is?" He said, "Just follow the telephone wires. You'll get there right out the highway." And so I got us back, and it was a wonderful time, and it really was the moment that the bug bit me. So knowing that I couldn't really fly solo until I was 16, I jumped the gun, and on my 15th birthday took my very first flying lesson, and I was able then to take lessons, but I wasn't driving a car yet, so I had to ride my bicycle the four miles out to the airport to take the flying lessons. It was a great experience, but I was really jumping the gun because I couldn't fly by myself until 16, and so I had to kind of stall things, and then at the ripe old age of 16, I did have the privilege of learning to fly, and flew for the very first time in a J3 Piper Cub. And it was a privilege to continue to flying in that airplane and to, after I'd soloed, to be able to fly by myself, to go up to about 2,000 feet, and then to put it in a straight dive that I could try to get it to go 100 miles an hour, which was kind of a neat thing for a 16, 17-year-old to do. But through the years and across the miles, I've had the opportunity of sending a controls of a lot of different aircraft and a lot of different situations. But even back home when I was learning to fly at Beckerman Field in Mount Carmel's area, actually, it was just outside of town, and a lot of people, I guess, because I was a kid that liked airplanes during the flight, would let me ride with them and take the controls of their airplanes, and I remember flying in a super-cob, and in an oronka, and in an air coupe, and on and on went the airplanes that I was able to ride in. And then I had a friend in Florida who had access to a Piper Cherokee, and he let me fly with him all across the state of Florida from one side of the state in the Braden and Sarasota area all the way over to the Fort Lauderdale area. And those were thrilling moments. And then I went on, staff was word, in Waco, Texas, and we had a detailed bonanza, and I saw one at the airport this week, and I had the privilege of riding shotgun or flying co-pilot all over the country flying that bonanza. And then we got a twin bonanza, and it was a thrill to handle the controls of a twin-engine airplane. But God has a plan for each one of us, and although my flying days are not front and center right now, the memories are there, and those moments that I had the opportunity to be at the controls of aircraft are never, ever going to be forgotten. But God has a plan for each one of us, a perfect plan. He has a divine design, as I said earlier. And God has something he wants you to do for him. The first thing is to make sure that you are a believer in Christ. Have you admitted you have sinned? Have you believed in the Lord Jesus? Have you told other people you believe? And are you doing something about it? Are you taking the gospel to people who need the Lord? Are you praying? Are you diligently serving him? Will you be a tiger teammate? Will you invest at least $20 and provide a scholarship for another 10 to 19 year old to be trained in peer evangelism and leadership? And will you even consider going beyond that and giving $20 or more a month? God will bless you, if you will. We need your prayer support more than anything else. But the dollars that you invest are reinvested in youth, training them to take the gospel to their friends. And we are thrilled because of what God has already done and what he is doing and what he wants to do. So know this, when you pray and when you give, Christ through you can change the world.
