Telling The TRUTH
060813 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President, George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Whatever you do for the Lord, do it diligently and keep on keeping on. Don't quit. Don't give up. Listen to 1 Corinthians 15, 5758, New King James Version. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. What you do for God, He will bless abundantly. God will bless the worker as well as the work. So, pray first and then work as if it all depends on you. God will give you the strength to do what needs to be done as long as you will serve Him. God wants to make you usable and to use you for His glory. Pray for people who need the Lord. Pray for those who know Him and for those who don't. Read the Word of God. Believe the Word of God. Put the Word of God into effect in your life and then go with the Gospel. Keep on telling the truth. Someone is waiting. Someone needs to know how to get to heaven. Someone needs to admit that they have sinned, to believe on the Lord Jesus, to confess Him publicly. Someone needs you to tell them how to do that. Will you? Watch. Stand fast in the faith. Be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 16, 13, 14, New King James. Watch. Keep watching. Look around you. Look to the Lord and look at people. Stand fast in the faith. Have your feet firmly planted in the Word of God. Be brave. There are going to be difficulties coming your way, but don't give in. Be strong. God wants you to have the strength that He makes available to you. If you will ask, He will provide. Let all that you do be done with love. Some people are hard to love. Others are even hard to like. But God loves cheerful givers. Cheerful doers. Cheerful people who will reach out to those who are not very lovely and who are not going to love you back necessarily. But God says you be the one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, with all your body, with everything that is within you and love other people as you love yourself. We have shared many times with you, but here again comes the joy formula. Jesus first, other second, yourself last. Love God, for God is love. Tell someone today that God loves them and you do too. Listen to Hebrews 614, New King James Version, saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." What a promise. God wants to do that for you. He wants you to understand that when you serve him, when you endeavor to do his will, he will bless you. And he will bless others through you, and multiplying he says, "I will multiply you." How does that work? How does it happen? It happens when you share the gospel with other people. When you pray with other believers, and together when you go with God's good news, and the people with whom you share say, "Yes to Jesus." Then they confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus, believing in their heart that God has raised him from the dead. And when they share with other people, the multiplication happens, and the people with whom they share, the multiplication continues to happen. That's how God works. You tell the one next to you, I'll tell the one next to me, and in no time at all, we'll tell them all, tell them, tell them one by one. Yes, surely blessing God says, "I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." Make him Lord of your life. Be willing to share the good news of the saving power of Jesus, and watch the multiplication take place. Now may he who supplies seed to the sewer, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 2 Corinthians 9, 10 and 11, New King James Version. Let's look at this again. God supplies the seed. You can be the sewer, and he supplies bread for your food, and when you sow the seed, he will multiply the seed you have sown. He will increase the fruits of your righteousness. When you pray, and when you deliberately determine to do what God would have you to do according to the Word of God, when you take the Gospel to people who need the Lord, that is sowing the seed. We offer you what we call God's ABCs, and they are free, and you can give them to as many people as you would like. Simply let us know how many you want, and share God's glorious Gospel right there where you are, with people who need the Lord. You can be enriched in everything that you do for all of your liberality. So, and so, and so some more, and do it with thanksgiving. Thanking God, and together, let us know what you are doing, and let us pray for you, and let us pray for one another. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions. 2 Timothy 4 5a, looking James, watchful in all things, not some things, not most things, but as we shared things means exactly what it says. Nothing left out, everything included, be watchful in all things. And then endure afflictions. Troubles are going to come. Difficulties are going to encompass you. And sometimes, they are going to stick. And God wants you to understand that you can endure whatever afflictions you are dealing with now are will in the future. Put yourself totally in God's hands. Surrender every part of your life to the Lord. Watch God do things above and beyond your fondest expectations, your wildest dreams. God cares, and He will help you go through difficulties, and there will be some today. Maybe more tomorrow, maybe you went through some yesterday. But endure is the name of the game, the need of the hour. So pray, read the word of God, get someone to pray with you, and together take the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to someone who needs Jesus. 2 Timothy 4 5, looking James, do the work of an evangelist. How do you do that? First of all, you pray, and you ask God to give you a compassion for people who need the Lord, and then you go with the gospel. You learn the plan of salvation. You memorize and put into your heart Romans 3, 23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6, 23. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. John 3, 16, you probably know that one, for God so loved the world, He gave, and then Romans 10, 9, and 10. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised from the dead, you will be saved with the heart when it believes to righteousness. And with the mouth, confession is made to salvation. That's how you share, that's what you share. We have those scriptures for you printed, and as many as you would like to have, we will send to you to distribute to people. That's one way you can do the work of an evangelist, and we are here as your partners in youth evangelism to share Jesus with every person possible. Just call us or write us, and we will get those ABCs to you so that people can know how to get to heaven. Say in Timothy 4, 5, New King James concludes, fulfill your ministry. What kind of ministry are you endeavoring to accomplish for God's glory? What are you doing with the 24 hours a day, the seven days a week, the 52 weeks every year that God has allowed you to live and will? What are you doing to get the gospel to people? What are you doing to get into God's Word and get God's Word into you? What are you doing to fellowship with other believers, praying with them and for those who don't know the Lord? What are you doing to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with folk who are headed not for heaven, but away from God's expectations from them? Hell was not designed for people, but for the devil and his angels, but people who have not believed are condemned already, Jesus said, because they have not believed in the name of the only begotten the Son of God. So will you help them believe? Will you share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ? Will you fulfill your ministry today and tomorrow and for all of your tomorrow's? Will you get in tune with the Lord? Will you pray diligently? Will you read his Word? Will you heed his Word? And then will you go with the gospel to people who need the Lord? Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. [music] Rejoice always. I'm George Dooms, founder and president of Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. This is the exciting story of Youth Evangelism in America, 1931 through today and tomorrow. It begins with prayer. Pray without ceasing. God wants each one of us to ask and we will receive. Seek and we will find. Knock and it will be open to us. The first two youth evangelists in America started in 1931. Clifford Lewis took the Young People's Fellowship Clubs across the continent. Percy Crawford started the Young People's Church of the Air and it went nationwide. Pray and seek God's will. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. Seek God's will. Jack Wertzen in New York. George Beverly Shea. Al Metzger in Kansas City. Mary and I had our first date in September 1948 and soon helped make Youth for Christ happen in Mount Carmel, Illinois our hometown. We were married June 18, 1950. Pray and set your goals. The next decade saw evangelists conducting crusades in local churches and cooperatively in area-wide meetings from small towns and rural communities to major cities. To reach the most possible people effectively, the special weekly youth night concept packed auditoriums with teenagers. God allowed Mary and me to be involved with Youth for Christ and to help 100 evangelists. He opened doors for us to move from Greenville, South Carolina to Bradenton, Florida to begin Tamiami Youth for Christ and on to Wheaton, Illinois to join the staff of Youth for Christ International. Bradenton, I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Pray and start where you are. Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know. Going coast to coast with Youth for Christ, Christ through can change the world became the theme. Meanwhile, back in the tri-state, we put together a splendor of sacred song in Evansville and another in Kansas City. We accepted the offer to go to Waco, Texas with word. Our daughter Tamiami was born in Waco in 1965. We helped establish word books. One of the first was "Discover Your Destiny" by Dave Breece. Going back to the Chicago area, God did things that were above and beyond our fondest expectations. The Lord opened the door to direct tri-state Youth for Christ and began Triple T February 1966 at the corner of U.S. Highway 41 at Boonville and Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and I-64. We committed to have a youth event every Saturday night and began to invite speakers. Dave Breece became multiple times at Triple T. On July 27, our son James Lawson was born. The vision, every youth before turning twenty to have the opportunity to hear the Gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The mission, telling the truth, to through teenagers. We immediately began training teenagers in leadership and peer evangelism and encouraged talent development. Easter 1969, a Marchdown Highway 41 from Triple T to Robert Stadium involved a thousand kids with Christian flags unfurled. The next year, the first Faith Festival featured the Pat Boone family and other guests. Thousands came. In 1970, Bob and Bernie Bland with two others started Teen Missions International. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might. Using what we had, the Faith Festivals continued. In 1971, we had Truth at Triple T their first month on the road. Roger Braylon brought Truth back year after year. In 1973, we co-founded Youth Evangelism Association with Al Mesker, Vic Eliasen, Jim Harris, Dick Snavely and myself. We reconnected with Bob Bland and Teen Missions in 1975. In 76 days in 1976, Triple T staff presented 86 school assemblies. Triple T Christian Communication Center was constructed in 1978. In 1980, we published Telling the Truth, and from 1984, we have been at the Lord's Boot Camp with Teen Missions every summer. Pray unto all you can. Philippians 4.13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Following that promise from God's Word, many things have glorified God. We've continued to partner with other ministries, and God opened door after door and provided person after person to come alongside. Tiger Team, teens involved going evangelizing regularly began in 1983. We have hosted and provided a platform for many outstanding Christian leaders and musicians. Tammy has been on Triple T staff full time since 1990. And beginning in 1990, God used Bob Bland to open doors to speak to all the youth who were getting ready to go get dirty for God someplace in the world with Teen Missions. It is always a privilege to challenge youth each summer to get Bible clubs going and growing and to put together a Tiger Team impact when the students come back to where they live. In the mid-80s, we had the first Teen Missions Missionaries to America teams. In 1990, Triple T hosted 40 MTA's from around the world for several weeks. Teen Missions preteens came three summers to build A-frame dorms. Pray and reach for the stars. Only be strong and very courageous that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses, my servant, commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right-handers that left that you may prosper wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have not commanded you, be strong and good courage. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. During the next decade, the Traveling Tigers ministry began. Bob Bland invited Tammy and me to help establish AIDS orphans and street children in 1993. We invited Franklin Graham to be our special guest to celebrate 1500 consecutive Saturdays in 1994. We participated in Atlanta 96 at the Georgia Dome, the largest gathering of youth ministries in the world. Pray and keep everlastingly at it. In 2003, Tammy was elected president of Youth of Amazon Association. Project Proclaim began using saturation evangelism, sharing one-on-one, and giving New King James Bibles with special triple T covers, and public relations outreach, Billboards, print, internet, radio. Our son James produces radio and video for triple T. In 2004, we celebrated 2000 consecutive Saturdays. Now, 10% of triple T's general fund sponsors, AIDS, orphans, street children, rescue units, in Cameroon, and another in Uganda, plus 12 motorcycle Sunday schools in Africa. In 2009, a life-size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle was on Triple T campus for five months. Hundreds took the tour, and 109 made decisions for Christ. Pray and watch, stand fast in the faith. That's where we are now. Beginning in 2011, going toward 2020 and beyond, the key action plan provides training and resources for adult youth workers, pastors, leaders, and 10 to 19-year-olds with local church partners in youth evangelism are working together to keep evangelizing youth. Triple T's 2500 consecutive Saturday God willing will be the 28th of December 2013. Triple T is again hosting tours of the Old Testament Tabernacle now through Youth Evangelism Association's 40th anniversary convention at Triple T October 14 through 17. Watch, stand fast in the faith. Be strong. Be brave. In all that you do, be done in love. Multiply your ministry. Triple T key legacy society is being founded to perpetuate Triple T Christian youth ministry through wills, trusts, estate planning, and for 1,000 days from May 13, 2013, toward February 6, 2016, God willing. We are moving toward Triple T's golden anniversary, endeavoring to reach thousands of youth for God's glory by having 1,000 Tiger teammates praying daily and giving $20 or more monthly. But you'll be watchful in all things. Indoor afflictions do the work of an evangelist. Fulfill your ministry. The ongoing impact you have just heard tells the fascinating story of youth evangelism in America 1931 through today toward tomorrow. The nine faith factors starting with prey are projected. God has helped us to keep on keeping on giving the gospel to as many people as possible as effectively as we know how for a lot of decades now and what a wonderful thing God has done. It takes a praying team. Triple T's executive board invites Christian adults willing to pray and invest time, talent, and treasure to be Tiger teammates. Joining them to support 10 to 19-year-old participants in Tiger team, teens involved, going, evangelizing regularly. We're moving toward Triple T's 2,500 consecutive Saturday, the Lord willing, December 28, 2013. And during the 25 weeks from the 13th of July when we're sponsoring Jesus Christ change in the world summit up to Triple T's 2,500 consecutive Saturday, the Lord willing, December 28, 2013. The gulls, hundreds trained at Triple T and/or online so thousands of youth can hear the gospel and hundreds can believe on the Lord Jesus personally. We are endeavoring to collect a million dimes so that a large digital sign along US 41 can reach thousands daily. Over 24,000 vehicles pass Triple T every 24 hours. Its property can be developed building dormitories, multipurpose buildings and other facilities, raising the funds as we go with no debt being incurred. Triple T's strategic location is within a day's drive of 70% of the US population. Over 400,000 of America's 41 million to the 19-year-olds live within 100 miles of Triple T. We're located 4 miles north of Evansville Regional Airport, 4 miles south of Interstate 64 at Booneville, Harmony Road at Highway 41 North. As God provides resources through Tiger teammates investing time, talent and treasure, the key action plan can be put into effect and built toward reaching many more youth with the gospel. Pray, watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong, let all that you do be done with love. This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this that a man laid down one's life for his friends. You are my friends. If you do whatever I command you, Jesus said in John 15 verses 12 through 14 to King James. Having Dr. Ivan Pete Peterson and Danilda back with us was a real joy and a wonderful answer to much prayer. For the first time in 15 months, the Peterson's were able to travel again since Pete's bout with cancer and months of chemo. Danilda the keyboard and Pete sharing stories of their ministries in Africa, Europe and North America were uplifting and please pray for them as they continue traveling to Florida, Tennessee and back to Michigan. The countdown toward Jesus Christ changed in the world's summit began June 1 and continues each Saturday through July 13 and then on beyond on the two weeks following. Each Saturday follows one of the nine faith factors beginning with pray without ceasing and every week we pray and pray and pray some more. A quick look and listen to the continuing story of the use of animes in America begins the Old Testament tabernacle tour. Several have already experienced seeing Christ pictured in the tabernacle. The guided tours are available through October 17, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends and other times by appointment. To arrange a tour or a tour guide call area code 812-867-2418 or email info@ttchristianyouth.org Will you please pray for fair share preparations taking traveling tigers and teen missions, international teenagers and leaders to county fairs and street festivals from July 8 through August 10? Pray for the leaders of special ministries invited to participate in Triple T's culture of cooperation July 13 Jesus Christ changed in world summit. Pray for the information being sent to have positive responses. We're grateful for every tiger teammate praying and investing time, talent and treasure. You probably know this but the first $20 received from each person each year provides a leading youth scholarship for tiger team Christian leadership and peer evangelism training. Please pray for many to be tiger teammates, encouragers $20 or more, enlargers averaging $20 or more monthly and expanders averaging at least $100 monthly. Personal prayers and support are needed now as we endeavor to surge through the summer with fair share and more. Although Triple T's target audience is youth ages 10 to 19 anyone of any age is always welcome and especially every first Saturday. We have many adults who diligently help get things going and bringing teenagers and being involved behind the scenes. Did you know that according to the 2010 US Census data there are 413,443 youth ages 10 to 19 in the 93 counties within 100 miles of Triple T? The K-E-Y action plan and keep evangelizing youth provides biblical and practical youth evangelism training and resources for adult youth workers. Evangelistic youth efforts are conducted in local communities in partnership with local churches and Christian organizations. Tiger team involves all Triple T activities. Peer evangelism and leadership training, evangelistic youth efforts, they are trained to biblically share Jesus through peer evangelism, leadership and creative Christian communications. Training includes scripture memory and personal application and is designed to equip and prepare participants to share their faith effectively with their peers and to challenge them to commit a lifetime of serving Christ with moral purity. All Triple T staff are involved directly with various aspects of Tiger team training and the key action plan along with many adult and youth volunteers. Training programs are conducted by Triple T staff, volunteers and special guests. Every Triple T evangelistic youth effort requires a team of volunteers in the community working along with Triple T staff. In 2012, 85 Triple T evangelistic youth events in 15 counties got the gospel presented to at least 5197 different 10 to 19 year olds. At least 406 indicated a decision for Christ and were prayed with personally by a youth worker or a youth trained in peer evangelism through Triple T. 1620 youth received Triple T New King James Bibles over 700 committed to share their faith with friends and family and 88 different individuals participated in Tiger team. Pray with us and for us Christ through you can change the world.
