Telling The TRUTH
060113 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Even so then, at this present time, there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works. Otherwise, grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace. Otherwise, work is no longer work. Romans 11, 5 and 6, New King James. "Grace is a gift from God, and it is sufficient for all of us. You can't work your way to heaven, for by grace are you saved through faith. And if we understand that this is a wonderful message that God gave to Paul to share it with the Romans, now, with every one of us, understand that grace, abundant as it is, needs to be shared. People need to know how to be saved by grace, by admitting they have sinned, by turning to Jesus from their sins, by believing on the Lord Jesus, and by being willing to tell other people that they believe. If there are people in your world who don't know the Lord, or that you suspect are not headed for heaven right now, or who are having spiritual difficulties, pray for them. Get a prayer partner, and then go to them with the Word of God, letting them know that God loves them. Jesus died for them, and rose again to give them the gift of God eternal life." Romans 12 is one of the great chapters in God's Word. Listen to verse 3, New King James, "For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Is your faith fully placed in the Lord Jesus? Do you understand grace is given to you to share God's message with other people? Are you living for the Lord? Are you doing what he would have you to do? Are you praying consistently? Are you fellowshipping with other believers? Are you looking into God's Word and letting God's Word sink down deep into your heart? Are you compassionate about people who need the Lord? Are you willing to take the gospel to folk and share with them the grace factor? God loves them. Jesus died, he was buried, he rose again for our sins according to the Scriptures. And now by turning to him from our sins, by trusting him, by believing on him, we can receive the gift of God, eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord. Tell someone that story, tell someone how to get to heaven, share with them the plan of salvation and watch God work wonderfully. God has entrusted to use some very special opportunities to serve him. Romans 12.6a, New King James says, "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them." Are you using what God has given to you? Are you using those wonderful gifts to share the message of salvation with people who don't know him? Are you fellowshipping with other people who do know him? Are you praying together for those who don't? Are you going with the gospel? Read God's Word. I suggest that you read the whole 12th chapter of Romans and understand how God puts together a package of people who have different gifts, but he uses each of our gifts when we work together to glorify him. God will make you usable. He will use you and he will do it according to the grace he has given to you. So it's up to you to read the Word of God, to do what God's Word says to do, to share God's Word with people who need to hear the Word of the Lord, and then to pray diligently for God to open doors for you to go with the gospel and to watch the results happen. There are people who are waiting for someone to tell them the truth. Will you be one of those who will go today and tell someone about Jesus? Listen to what Paul is saying to the Romans. Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points as reminding you because of the grace given to me by God, that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Romans 15, 15, and 16, New King James Version. Well, there you have it. Paul's testimony. God has called him to reach the Gentiles and they don't have to give burnt offerings. The offering that they gave was themselves to Jesus Christ, a living sacrifice because Christ is the ultimate sacrifice. Christ became sin for us. He who knew no sin so that we by believing on him could have life everlasting. And that grace that was given to Paul is now available to us by God to share the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus. So read the word of God and then take the gospel to people and let them know that the sacrifice has already been made. Jesus, the sin substitute for all of us, died so that we could live because He lives again. Listen to this prayer by Paul for us. Romans 16, 24, New King James Version. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Isn't that fantastic? The grace, the grace of our Lord Jesus. Yes, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Christ who died for our sins, who was buried, who rose again on the third day, that grace can be with you and me and all of us. Yes, that's you. That's me. That's every believer in the Lord Jesus. If you have not yet believed, will you right now say, "God, I'm sorry I've sinned, forgive me." Will you turn to Jesus from your sins? Will you realize that He died for your sins? He rose again, and He is interceding at the right hand of God the Father right now for you when you call on Him. So in Jesus' name, say, "God, give me your gift of eternal life." Be willing to tell other people that you believe and that they too can, if they will admit they have sinned, turn to Jesus and believe on Him and confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus, be headed for heaven. That's it. And if you would like to have copies of what I just shared with you, what we call God's ABCs, then write our call. We'll send you as many as you can use. Listen to Romans 15, 9 and 10, New King James, "For I am the least of the apostles who am not worthy to be called an apostle because I persecuted the Church of God. But by the grace of God, I am what I am. And His grace toward me was not in vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all, but not I, but the grace of God which was in me." That's the Apostle Paul sharing his story. Can you say that too? Are you a living, basking person in Jesus' marvelous grace? Are you so enamored with the Lord that you are willing to tell other people how His grace is sufficient that by grace they can be saved through faith in the Lord Jesus? The Christ who died was buried and rose again, is willing and ready to move into the heart and life of anyone who will believe on Him. There are people waiting for you to tell them how to get to heaven. Will you do that? We have God's ABCs to send to you so that you can give them to people. Just let us know how many you can use. Call us or write us, and we will get you copies of God's ABCs to give to everybody that you possibly can and prayerfully share God's plan of salvation. Listen carefully to the marvelous message of 2 Corinthians 9, 6, New King James Version. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, have an abundance for every good work. Isn't that magnificent? God is willing to provide that for you and for me. A sufficiency in all things, an abundance for every good work. There are a lot of good things that you could have happen. I like three choices, the good, the better, and the best. The best thing that anybody can do is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with people who don't know the Lord, and let them have the opportunity to receive God's gift of eternal life. There are people waiting for you to go to them with the gospel. Oh, there are many other good things, even some better things, but not the best. The best is the gospel. The best is salvation by grace. People can come to know Jesus and that grace can turn around to you if you are willing to pray with other believers to read the word of God consistently, to pray without ceasing and then to go with God's good news. We want to send you ABCs to share with your friends. Go tell the truth today. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. You are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripleteecrystianyouth.org. Telling the truth to through teenagers is the hallmark of Triple T and has been since the very, very beginning. God has been gracious and wonderful and good to us. We use every tool at our disposal to communicate Christianity to people. Right now we have the Old Testament tabernacle life-size replica on the campus of Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. We invite you to come and see how Christ is pictured in the tabernacle. It opened last month, a couple of weeks ago, and you can come any day. Tours are daily. We simply ask you to please call to let us know how many are going to be in your group and we will have a tour guide ready any time between 9 o'clock in the morning and 4 o'clock in the afternoon. We are here for you and it would be a wonderful blessing for you and for us to be able to show you God's tabernacle. The Old Testament tabernacle that has been a blessing for many, many people to have been able to see this life-size replica. The tabernacle is God's wordless book of the Old Testament in Old Testament times. Isaiah 53 2 says, "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground, he has no form or comeliness, and when we see him there is no beauty that we should desire him." The word was made flesh and dwelt or tabernackled among us. John 1, 14, "And the word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." His name is jealous. Exodus 34, 14, "For you shall worship no other God, for the Lord, whose name is jealous, is a jealous God." We must know that God expects us to respect him and to give him honor and glory in everything. As you come into the replica of the tabernacle from the visitor's tent, you will see the door opening to the courtyard, or sometimes called the courtyard gate. Exodus 27, 16, 17 says, "For the gate of the court there shall be a screen, twenty cubits long, woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver. It shall have four pillars and four sockets. All the pillars around the court shall have bands of silver, their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of bronze." John 4, 46 says, "For if you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me." Everything in the tabernacle speaks of Christ. Every material, furniture, covering, every piece of it is the wordless book of the Old Testament. The Old Testament tabernacle was the first habitation that God caused to be built for him. God gave his word that he would commune there with the people, built in a Sinai desert over a period of a year. The children of Israel were instructed to receive gifts from the Egyptians before they left. Exodus 12, 35, 36 says, "Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing, and the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. So much was brought that the people had to be restrained from bringing others by Moses." Exodus 37, 6, "So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, 'Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.' And the people were restrained from bringing." The tabernacle was used for 500 years before the temple was built in Jerusalem. The shadow of heavenly things is given to us in Hebrews 8, 5, who served the copy and shadow of the heavenly things as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, "See that you make all things according to the pattern that has shown you on the mountain." It had to be made according to the pattern because it's a picture of Christ. The door represents the fact that no one can enter except through Jesus Christ. One was allowed to camp within a half mile of the tabernacle. Every part spoke of Jesus. Primary materials are the tabernacle and its furniture where acacia wood, gold, silver, and brass. Each has a special meaning about Christ. Wood, His humanity, gold, holiness, or deity, silver, redemption, brass, judgment, power. Only one entrance, Jesus is the door. John 10, 9, says, "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture." This was also the only way out. The gate was wide, extra wide. Actually, by our dimensions, it was 30 feet wide and 7 and a half feet high. John 14, 6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me, whosoever will may come. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, and who believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. The four colors of the door stood for four different aspects of Christ. The colors blew his deity from heaven. The Gospel of John explains this. Purple, royalty, king of kings. Matthew explains this. When you mix scarlet and blue, you get purple. Scarlet, humanity, color of dirt, mark, white, purity, righteousness, luke. The courtyard fence was 150 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 7 and a half feet high made of white linen. The white linen was a contrast to the reddish brown desert. And when you come on the campus of triple T, you will see that white courtyard all around the entire tabernacle entrance. Last Saturday we had the opportunity of having all the kids who were here to walk all the way around the entire tabernacle. When you come and see the replica and go through the gate, the first thing that you see will be the brazen altar. Listen to Exodus 27 1 through 8. You shall make an altar of acacia wood, five qubits long, and five qubits wide. The altar shall be square, and its height shall be three qubits. You shall make its horns on the four corners. Its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze. Also, you shall make its pans to receive its ashes, and its shovels and its basins and its forks, and its fire pan, you shall make all of these utensils of bronze. You shall make a grate for it, a network of bronze, and on the network you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners. You shall put it under the rim of the altar beneath, that the network may be midway up the altar, and you shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze. The poles shall be put in the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar to bear it. You shall make it hollow with boards, as it was shown you on the mountain, so shall they make it. The brazen altar is the largest piece of furniture. Five by five by three qubits, or seven and a half by seven and a half by four and a half feet. Made of acacia wood, a very, very incorruptible wood, and covered with brass. Everything before the tabernacle's entrance, the base of the courtyard posts, raisin altar and lever were made of brass, the symbol of judgment or power. Man does not come to God except through judgment. The altar is where the sacrificial lamb was slain. John 1.29 says, "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." You must go to the altar to have sins forgiven before you can go to the lever and tabernacle. And of course today we have Jesus that we go through, and because of him we can go directly to God the Father. The altar had four horns, the symbol of strength and power. Christ was born to the altar, His cross. In the scripture we were invited to lay our strength down at the cross. From the brazen altar you go toward the lever. Exodus 38.8. He made the labor of bronze and its base of bronze from the bronze mirrors of the serving women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Water is a symbol of sanctification and cleansing. The priests washed their hands and feet daily at the labor. And we are also to bathe daily in the Word of God. They could not enter the tabernacle until they were cleansed from all of the things that they had acquired as they were sacrificing the animals on the brazen altar. During a line starting from the altar to the lever to the altar of incense inside the tabernacle to the arc of the covenant forms an upright cross with the arms of the cross formed by the table of showbread and the lamp stand. And so you see Christ in the tabernacle and the cross is prominent just in the layout of the furniture. God wants us to see Jesus in the tabernacle and we hope you will come and see it. Stay tuned for more information and invitations so that you can come with your friends and family. As you approach the tabernacle from the lever you see nothing but gray because the badger skin is the fourth part of the covering. Beneath that our ramskins died red the symbol to be covered by blood and then behind that is goat's hair or skins and then the inside part that you see is linen blue purple scarlet embroidered with angels. The wonderful thing is that as you approach the tabernacle itself you understand that God has put this together as a dwelling place for him. You go inside and it's called the holy place and inside you see one of three articles of furniture being the golden lamp stand. There were no windows in the tabernacle the lamp stand provided the light in the holy place as it gleams against the walls that are gold. Jesus is the light. Jesus said I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. There are six side branches proceeding out of the one branch of the golden candlestick and that is representing the Lord Jesus Christ. And these outward things represent evangelists and teachers and preachers the gifts of helps etc. All are connected to the source Jesus. Across from the lamp stand is a table of show bread. There are twelve loaves of bread of equal size one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel before God all are equal. It's pierced bread piercing allowed for quick and thorough baking and Christ was pierced on the cross. Jesus is the true bread from heaven. Jesus said in the most assuredly I say to you Moses did not give you the bread from heaven but my father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. He said I am the bread of life. When Jesus died on Calvary's cross the veil was rent from top to bottom and now we can enter the holy of holies. Inside you will see the ark of the covenant on it the mercy seat and there are the two cherubim and the blood of the lamb was then sprinkled down and dripped onto the altar. Today that blood of Jesus Christ has already been shed and it can be applied to your sins. The Bible says the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus said for God so loved the world that he gave he gave his only begotten son Jesus died so you wouldn't have to. And so as we go into the holy of holies and you can have that experience when you come to see the replica of the Old Testament tabernacle on the campus of Triple T Christian Youth Ministries you will have experiences that are very very very unusual and very very life changing. There will be things that you will remember the rest of your life and we invite you to come whenever you can. Give us a call so that we can arrange a tour for you. Your family can come with you, your friends can come with you and we invite you to come and see the tabernacle. Again the number to call is area code 812-867-2418.
