Telling The TRUTH
051113 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, one of the major obstacles facing this ministry and many others that have evangelism at the forefront, is a lack of people investing time, talent and treasure. Listen to what Jesus said. Matthew 9, 37, 38, New King James. Then He said in His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labors into His harvest." Will you be a prayer partner with us and with other ministries that are endeavoring to reach people with God's glorious gospel? Labors are needed. The harvest is ripe. Now is the time. So pray diligently, and then involve yourself in as many aspects as you possibly can in helping the harvest happen. Pray. Read God's Word. Fellowship with other believers and then determine how you can be a communicator of Christianity to people who need the Lord. Your prayers can be very, very effective. So please pray and then give of your time, your talent and your treasure for God's glory. There is something that you can do that nobody else could do quite the way you could do it if you would do it. So will you pray and then move forward to accomplish something special for God? The God of this world does not appreciate you. He is doing everything He can to trip you, to trap you and to keep you from serving Jesus. Listen to Matthew 2641, New King James, "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." How awesome that is when we realize how much God knows about us, how He personally cares for us, and now He wants us to know what to do and how to do it, to watch and to pray consistently as we endeavor to be followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and shares of His glorious gospel is essential. People are waiting for you. They're waiting for me to pray for them and then to share with them how to get to heaven. Do you have a prayer partner? Are you praying for people who need the Lord? I hope you are. I hope you will. We have God's ABCs to send to you. I admit you send, be believe on Christ, seek and fess Him publicly and all the scriptures that follow through. To get a quantity of those, just call us or write us and we'll get them right out to you because we want you to be able to share God's great good news. We have put together what we call nine key faith factors to keep evangelizing youth. The first one is to pray. Listen to Mark 1124, New King James Version. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. Are you praying with that kind of faith? Do you really believe that God is going to hear and answer your petitions to Him? If you pray correctly, it will transpire. How do you pray correctly? First of all, you make sure that you are totally in tune with God. If you have things in your life that shouldn't be there, confess them to the Lord. If you are not doing things that you should be doing, confess that to the Lord. Ask for His help, for His guidance, for His direction, and then specifically ask Him for what it is your heart desires. God wants to help you and to help me accomplish His purpose, but He does it when we get our hearts in tune with Him and when our faith factor is intact and when we believe before we receive, because God wants us to tell Him how much we love Him and then to ask Him. What is it that you want Him to do for you? Do you have the faith to believe? Then pray. There can be a great deal of anticipation and even speculation about when Jesus will return. No one knows, only the Father knows. Listen to Mark 1333, New King James. Take heed, watch and pray for you do not know when the time is. Watch means we are keeping our antenna high. We are listening to what is going on. We are trying to learn everything we can about the happenings today and what could take place tomorrow. Watch and pray. When we pray, saying, "God, show me what I am to do this day." God gives you 24 hours every day. He gives you seven days every week. He gives you 52 weeks every year and to make it more specific, He gives you 60 minutes in every hour, 60 seconds in every minute. So what are you doing with the time you have? You do not know what time it is on God's clock, but you do have today. You do have this moment, so will you use it to glorify the Lord? Will you read His word? Will you pray? Will you fellowship with other believers? Will you pray for others? Will you go to them with the gospel? Somebody is waiting, they are waiting for you now. Have you noticed when you read God's word that sometimes the Scriptures are almost identical in the Synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark and Luke? Listen to Mark 1438, New King James. Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. God sometimes lets us know what to do and how to do it by emphasizing again His word in ways that we can understand and comprehend. This time it says, "The Spirit truly is ready." Is your Spirit in tune with God? What about your flesh? Is it weak? Are you giving into temptation? Are you considering giving into temptation? Pray diligently, pray expectantly, and watch while you pray. Know what is going on in your world. Pray diligently with other believers. Read the word of God, personally, or maybe collectively with others, and then determine to share God's wonderful, glorious good news, the saving power of the Lord Jesus with people who need the Lord. Don't give into temptation by waiting, but do it today. We have God's ABCs to send to you, write or call and we'll get them to you to share. Are you one of the people God needs to accomplish His mission? Listen to Luke 10, 1 through 3, New King James. After these things, the Lord appointed 70 others also and sent them 2 by 2 before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way, behold I send you out as lambs among wolves." God always has a plan for His people, and here He chose 70 folk to go with the good news. There would be the advanced team going where Jesus was going to go later. God wants us to go now into our world wherever that might be and to share God's ABCs. He wants us to pray for others to join us. Labors are few, but the harvest is ready. Will you pray and then will you consider going wherever, whenever God would be pleased? Take the gospel to people who need the Lord. Tell them to admit that they have sinned to believe in the Lord Jesus, to confess Him publicly. And the verses that go with them, "We have God's ABCs to send to you, tell us how many you want, call or write." Then He spoke a parable to them that men ought always to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18-1, New King James Version, "I would suggest that you read the rest of Luke 18, and let God speak to you through this very special parable. And meanwhile understand this message is for you and me today. Men ought always to pray and not to lose heart. It's always a temptation to get discouraged and to give up in advance of what God is going to do for you, and through you, and because of you. So keep your faith high, keep your message going out, keep your knees bent, and your head bowed, and let God make you usable and use you as He speaks to your heart through His Word. When there are people you need to be praying with, and others you need to be praying for. And as we pray together, God will hear an answer. Let's read the Word of God, let's heed the Word of God, let's go with the Word of God to people who need the Lord. Know this, God wants to make you usable and to use you. So share His plan of salvation, tell people to admit they sin, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Tell them, John 3 16, God so loved the world, to them to confess Christ publicly. That's called God's ABCs and we would like to send some to you to give to others. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. And for Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in Him and He and God. And we have known and believed the love of God has for us. God is love, and He who abides in love abides in God and God in Him. 1 John 4, 15 and 16, New King James Version. Life at its very best began at Triple T, April the 13th, and it's continuing every Saturday. Tonight, the potential problems. Next Saturday, the projection for the future. This response lets us know that teenagers and preteens are comprehending, and for many of them their faith is growing. Students are consistently reaching out and bringing their friends to Triple T. A letter from a listener to telling the truth radio, "Let us know that Christ through you can change the world," the song I wrote with Harold Akhoo was played recently on VCY American Network. When James my son records my words and sends the finished production to the 34 stations, only God knows how many are listening each day by radio and podcast. It could be a few or hundreds of thousands. We do know that God's word won't return to Him void. Please pray for the people to connect with us through this radio opportunity. A team from Teen Missions International came to Triple T to set up the Old Testament tabernacle replica. This life-sized, authentic exhibit will quite probably attract hundreds of guests between today, May 11, and October 17. Please pray for tour guides to be trained and ready to serve, and pray for potential travel and tigers and qualified adult drivers and coaches to be available this summer. Contracts with county fairs are being received consistently. Together toward tomorrow, the continuing story of youth events of an America 1931 forward is being built inside Triple T Christian Communication Center. The tabernacle tours begin there with a short orientation. Triple T's God-given vision and mission to become more effective needs people, labors in His harvest. We are very thankful for co-labors, key people such as Shelley Bernard, Richard and Ethel Mer, Jeff and Bobby Mobley, Woody and Carol Youngs, Kim Foltz, and others who work together with Mary and Tammy and me to keep evangelizing youth. We are also very grateful for the 15 Tigers, teenagers, and preteens who volunteered to help with several outdoor and indoor work projects for an entire Saturday. It's a delight to host folk who are like-minded. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's My Hope America Executive Director Bill Conard and three associates were our guests last month for a couple of days. Several tri-state area pastors and leaders attended the My Hope training. Many are Triple T alumni. Local churches and ministries willing to partner in youth evangelism can effectively reach many more youth with the gospel. For everyone who is joining hands to reach youth with God's good news, we are very, very thankful. It's a privilege to pray with and for folk who are hurting. For you who share your requests, thank you. If you are facing a need or needs, let us know. Silver and gold, have we not, but we will pray for you. Thank you for your personal prayers and support. Keep your flag of faith unfurled. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing. Let everything give thanks, for this is the will of God and Christ Jesus for you. First Thessalonians 5, 16, 17, 18. Did you know that December 28, 2013 is to be Triple T's 2,500th consecutive Saturday the Lord willing? An ongoing impact began February 4, 1966 with two teenagers and a few adults in our living room. There has been an event every Saturday since. Youth from all 50 states and more than 40 countries worldwide have come to Triple T for leadership and peer evangelism training. So far this decade, during 2011, 2012 in the first four months of 2013, the gospel has been presented one-on-one to over 10,000 youth ages 10 to 19. 912 of these have made the decision to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks to God for tiger team participants, tiger teammates, investing time, talent and treasure and local churches and ministry partners in youth evangelism. Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be open to you for everyone who asks, receives and who seeks, finds and to him who knocks, it will be open. Listen to these excerpts from "On Being a Leader for God" published by Baker Books by my friend Warren W. Wierzby. Ask ASK. This prayer promise covers everything. Ask makes available the Father's wealth. Seek leads us to the Father's will and knock opens the door to the Father's work. In Scripture, an open door signifies ministry opportunities. Check out 1 Corinthians 16-9 and Colossians 4-3. We are instructed to pray for laborers Matthew 9-38, wisdom James 1-5, finances, Philippians 4, 18-20. Our efficiency must depend on the Lord's sufficiency. 1 Corinthians 1-16, 2 Corinthians 3-5 and 6, 2 Corinthians 10-7 and 8. God starts with what we have and turns it into what we need, John 6-12. Vance Havner called Jesus the Lord of the leftovers. Faith and vision enable us to see opportunities and overcome obstacles. The invisible becomes obvious, the impossible becomes doable to the person who has vision. God does not have a cash flow problem. God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He owns the hills. He owns the taters in the hills. For every beast of the forest is mine and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine and all its fullness. Psalm 50 verses 10-11 and 12 New King James. The Father will share His wealth with us if we obey His will so we can do His work. When our ideas succeed beyond our expectations, we give the credit to others and the glory to God. Then in junior high school, our boys glee club saying, "Give me 10 men who are stout-hearted men and I'll soon give you 10,000 more." During our first five years of triple T, God sent 10 high school seniors and college students to serve as student staff as they were trained in youth evangelism. Many, many more have followed them. During the first 47 years of triple T impacts, formerly tri-state youth for Christ, Mary and I, and full-time, part-time, and volunteer staff with some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens have been privileged to share the gospel face-to-face with tens of thousands of youth. At least 10,000 have responded to the invitation to personally believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Between Saturdays, youth trained in leadership and peer evangelism share their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, personifying the mission, to communicate Christianity to and through teenagers, to win them to Christ and train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities and into their world where ever God leads them in their future. Project Proclaim Saturation Evangelism employs one-on-one sharing, Bible distribution, evangelistic youth efforts, and public relations outreach, billboards, internet, newspapers, print, radio, TV, and video. Thanks to God for Tiger Teammates, for the participants themselves, and for those that invest time, talent, and treasure, and for the local churches and ministry partners in youth evangelism. Some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens will be trained next Saturday from 11-30 through the rally in our Tiger Team Training Day in Peer Evangelism and Leadership, and at Traveling Tiger's mini-camps, Thursday through Saturday, May 30 through June 1, June 6, 7, and 8, and June 13, 14, and 15. Tammy and I will be training youth from several states at the Lord's Boot Camp at Teen Missions International, Maryland, Florida headquarters. A team of teenagers and leaders will join the Traveling Tigers for fair share this summer. Tiger Team Impact of Angency youth efforts at or near public secondary schools, including fair share at county fairs and street festivals, county by county throughout the 100 mile radius of triple T, encompass 93 counties, where 413,443 youth ages 10 to 19 live. Jesus Christ, change in the world's summit is coming our way Saturday, July 13. Triple T's culture of cooperation, ministries invited to participate include the Evansville Dream Center, the Evansville Christian Life Center, House of Hope, I Am Second, My Hope America, restoring our heritage, right to life of Southwest Indiana, River City Faithfest, Youth Events and Association and Affiliate Ministries, AIDS Orphans and Street Children, Motorcycle Sunny School Mission, Teen Missions International, Higher Bound, Impact Christian Communications, and others. Stay tuned and I'm going to share with you the countdown calendar for Jesus Christ, change in the world's summit, 2013. During Saturday, June 1, 6 weeks prior to Jesus Christ, change in the world's summit, 2013, we will pray and preview what's about to happen. 5 weeks prior, June the 8th, we will seek God's will, we'll present what's going to happen. Then on June the 15th, we will set our goals and again we'll be planning the whole event that'll be 4 weeks prior, 3 weeks prior, on June the 22nd, we're going to start where we are preparing for this wonderful happening Jesus Christ, change in the world's summit. Then on June the 29th, using what we have, we're going to pull out the stops to promote with just 2 weeks to go. July the 6th, we're going to do all we can, we're going to provide whatever is necessary with just 1 week to go before the impact itself. Then comes July 13th, we're going to reach for the stars to produce a very special happening. We call it a Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth Effort. Jesus Christ, change in the world's summit with a lot of participating ministries coming together, including several local church partners in youth evangelism. Then on July the 20th, we're going to keep everlastingly added as we go to the fairs, we're going to persist. And then the second week following July 27, we're going to watch and keep our faith flag flying high. We're going to persevere. That will be a special day, July the 27th always is. July the 27th was Mary's dad's birthday, July the 27th is our son James' birthday. 727 is when we start every Saturday night and we have a thing called the 727 Club. Every teenager and pre-teen that attends a triple T Saturday night, 7 weeks out of 27 weeks becomes a 727 Club member. They get a copy of Dave Brie's book Discover Your Destiny and they get a little special thing back at Thirsty Tooth where they get the privilege of having a coke and some French fries or a hamburger or a cheeseburger or whatever their heart desires because we salute them because they have come seven Saturdays. We're excited about the fact that so many are doing this as of now they're over 30, 727 Club members and counting almost every week another one qualifies and they're bringing their friends and they're bringing their friends' friends and that's what is causing the gospel to go forward and causing people to come to know the Lord. The objective for Jesus Christ's change in world summit is that because of our coming together thousands of youth will hear and see the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus. Hundreds will personally become believers and be discipled in the Christian faith doing the work of an evangelist. We're encouraging local church pastors, youth workers and congregations to keep evangelizing youth until Jesus returns. We pray, enlist, train and send forth full-time part-time and volunteer labors into his harvest. We're always delighted when somebody else joins the team. We have a lady who will be with us for the first four or five months of the tabernacle and she has come up as a team member from Teen Missions International now to become a triple T team member and we're excited about this. We're hoping that people from all 93 counties and beyond will come to see the tabernacle. We'll take the tour between May 11, that's today, and October 17, and you're invited to come and check it out. You'll also see the continuing story of youth evangelism in America, 1931 through 2020 and beyond. Our Tiger team evangelistic youth efforts hopefully will be going to 31 tri-state counties this year, next year to 62 counties and the next year to all 93 counties as we celebrate our Jubilee year, seven generations of teenagers. To connect and reconnect with potential Tiger teammates in all 50 states by 2020 keeps us prayerfully moving toward key Tiger team evangelistic youth efforts, hopefully, ultimately, in every one of America's 3,141 counties. We want to expand Project Proclaim Public Relations Outreach and we want to develop the key legal society. We hopefully will be able to expand the ministry to build those necessary facilities to keep things moving forward to train more youth and adults to do the work of an evangelist. Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 U.S. 41 north at Boone Building Harmony Road midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org.
