[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President, George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you a "can-do" Christian? The Bible says in Philippians 4, 13, New King James Version, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." What that is saying is that you can't, but he can. But you need to be available to him. "I can do all things through Christ." It is through Christ that you can accomplish the impossible. Christ will give you the strength to do what you need to do. So pray diligently and directly for wisdom and guidance from the Lord. And then endeavor to do His will. Do all things, not some things, not most things, but all things through Christ. The word "all" often appears, especially in the writings of Paul. It means precisely what it says. It leaves nothing out, it is all-inclusive, and that means "all." Today, what do you want to do for God's glory? Jesus will give you the strength to accomplish it. If you are willing to be available, do we made usable and then used by Him? So reach out to people who need Jesus. Fellowship of other believers, read God's Word, and go with the Gospel. Somebody is waiting to hear. Will you tell them the truth? Listen to Colossians 3, 12, and 13, New King James. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering, bearing with one another, and forgiving one another. If anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. It's very, very important that we understand this lesson. What God has done for you, you are to do for others, even when it comes to forgiving them. Jesus forgave you of every sin and shortcoming, past, present, and future. Christ died for your sins, my sins, according to the Scriptures. And because He did, we have forgiveness in Him. But we need to be totally in tune with God. To put on tender mercies, to be kind, to be humble, to be long-suffering, meek. And that doesn't mean to lay down and be walked on. It means to be all God would have you to be. Stop complaining about other people. But love them. Love them without reservation, because Jesus loves you. Then tell them about Him. Pray with believers who are in fellowship with God, and go to others who are not with the gospel. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3.17, New King James Version. Whatever you do, whether it's word, whether it's deed, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and give thanks to God the Father through Jesus. That's why we pray our Father as we begin our petitions to Him. And that's why we end our prayer in Jesus' name. God wants us to know who He is. He wants us to understand the privilege and the power of prayer. But He also wants us to act accordingly. So whatever you do, whatever you do or don't do, do it or don't do it because it would please the Lord. And do it all in Jesus' name. There are people in your world who need to know Him. They don't even know what Jesus has done for them unless somebody like you tells them. So will you let them know that Christ died was buried, rose again, as a forgiver of the sins of the people who will turn to Him from their sins? Get a prayer partner, one who is a believer and pray for those folk who are not yet members of God's forever family and share Jesus with each one of them. Will you? Do you see people who are strutting their stuff and who are trying to make an impression on other folk, trying to be men pleasers? Colossians 323, New King James Version says, And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men. God wants you to know how much He loves you, and He wants you to do whatever you do to Him for Him for His glory, for the furtherance of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. God wants us to have fellowship with other believers, but He wants us to verify God in the middle of everything that we say and do. Let me repeat that very special verse from Colossians 323, listen. And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men. In other words, get enthusiastic about your service to Jesus. Be excited about the people that you can work with to tell other people who don't yet know Him how they can know the Christ who died for them, who rose again, and who wants to give them the gift of God, eternal life. If you don't tell them, how will they know? So pray and go and watch God work wonderfully, because you have the responsibility and with it the opportunity. Can you identify with the Thessalonians? Listen to what Paul is saying and take it to heart, will you? But the Lord is faithful who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, and we have confidence in the Lord concerning you. Both that you do and will do the things we command you. 2 Thessalonians 3, 3, and 4, New King James. Do you have confidence? Confidence in the Lord about you? Both that you do and will do the things you ought to do? Things that we shared with you, you should do, Paul is saying. But he starts out by saying, "But the Lord is faithful. The Lord will establish you. The Lord will guard you from the evil one." What a wonderful promise that is. We live in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation. Evil lurks all around every corner, it seems. In the middle of it all, God is greater. Greater is he that is in you than he is in the world. So fellowship with other believers, basking in God's graciousness and then have compassion for the people who don't know the Lord. Pray together, read the Word of God together, and then take the gospel to people who need Jesus. You can, if you will. It's up to you. Are you endeavoring to do the will of God? You can do all things through Christ. Listen to this very special benediction from Hebrews 13, 20, and 21, New King James Version. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you what is while pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever, amen. There you have it, a very special presentation of the death and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus to let you know that he is that great shepherd and he wants to guide you and direct you as you should be going in every good work to do his will. He wants to work in you what is while pleasing in his sight, not necessarily what other people think would be neat, but what God wants to do for you. So make sure you are endeavoring to do his will. He is not willing to any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. So share the gospel, get a prayer partner, read God's Word, and tell people how to come to know Jesus. Triple D Christian Youth Ministries is located less than 30 miles from the virtual population center of the United States. From this vantage point, every single Saturday for over 47 years, we have had an outreach to youth. But between Saturdays, we go through every door God opens, including radio, sometimes television, often times gatherings of believers and unbelievers, but always with a hallmark of the ministry that we believe tells what we ought to do and what we ought to share with you and how together we ought to personify this message from God. From 2 Timothy 4, 5, New King James Version, listen, but you be watchful in all things. Endure afflictions do the work of an evangelist. Fulfill your ministry. Look around, see what's going on. Be watchful in all things, endure afflictions. There are going to be difficulties. There are going to be problems. There are going to be situations that we can't control. But in the middle of it all, do the work of an evangelist. Share the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. And when you do this, you will fulfill your ministry. God has given you a ministry to perform for Him. So go with the gospel. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boomville in Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Do all you can. Leading youth to Christ is the first prerequisite for communicating Christianity effectively. And once a young person knows Jesus Christ and has said, "God, I'm a sinner and I'm sorry." Has turned to Jesus from sin and then is willing to share his or her faith, the next step is to lead youth for Christ. And as we lead them to the Lord, we're going to see them get involved to become a vital part of an outreach to touch a world with the gospel. It all begins when individual Christians, when you and me and others, seek God's will. Lord, what do you want me to do about my life, my work? God, what am I supposed to do about it? Lord, show me what your will is for me. Show me God what I'm supposed to do for your glory. And then we look at the possibilities and we begin to be specific in setting goals. Goals, personally, for our physical us and then for our mental selves and then for our social involvements and most importantly for the spiritual undergirding to make us all that we can be for God's glory. We have to start where we are, not where we wish we were, not where we're going to be, but where are we in each of these areas and where are we geographically, then we have to use what we have. Using the tools that are available to us will enhance our ministry many times over. A tool used can be something in the hands of God whose hand can be on us. But the next concept and the very, very important one is this. Do all you can. Ecclesiastes 9-10 puts it this way. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. Be a can-do Christian. Philippians 4-13 puts it in such concise terms in such understandable words. Listen carefully. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. As I share often, there's only a two-word difference between the conceited individual and the person who is totally committed to Jesus. The conceited person says, "I can do anything. You name it. I'll do it." The person who is totally sold out to the Lord says, "I can do all things through Christ." And it's this perspective of working through Christ in harmony with Him, allowing Him to infiltrate every fiber of our being, every facet of our imagination. To give it all back to Him saying, "God, make me usable and use me." Do it for God's glory. Don't just sit there. Do something. Reach out from where you are to where you can go for God's glory. Enlarge that sphere. Get more people into it. Invite them to come. Say, "Hey, do you really know what's going on? Do you know what's happening? Do you know that you have an opportunity to be a part of something special?" This is your invitation. Come on in. Join us. Be a part of something very, very outstanding. The possibility is tremendous. God will take that and He will make you usable and He will use you in very, very special ways. When you provide the materials for your team and when the necessary people are there, you can make an impact that will be significantly successful. It's what you do with what you have that counts. What about your talents? What about your tools? Now it's time to take action. Now is the time to move right up to the forefront. Now it's time to do it all. Now is the time to say with full assurance, "I can do all things through Christ." Because He has promised through the Word of God to give us the strength to do it. We are weak, but He is strong. And He's going to give us that extra special zip and vim, that vitality, to accomplish the impossible for His glory. God wants you to succeed for Him. He wants you to really be able to reach more people than perhaps you thought possible. And He wants you to stretch your mind way out there. He wants you to understand that you and God do make a majority and He wants to give you that strength, that fortitude, that stamina that will cause you to be all you can be for the glory of God and the furtherance of the gospel and the salvation of young hearts who are lost without Jesus Christ. Let's go back to the basics. Let's examine one more time the greatest need in the world. But if our gospel is veiled or hidden, it is hidden from those who are perishing. The world is lost. People are lost because sin has taken its toll. They are headed away from God forever for all eternity. And people will spend their eternity away from God unless someone takes the gospel to them. Jesus said go. Go into all the world and preach it, proclaim it, publicize it, promote it, present it to every person out there. Every person needs to know who Jesus really is. And there are people within your sphere of influence that you can reach for Christ that I can't. But you can. So as you are obedient to the Word of God, to the call of God, some tremendous things are going to happen when you do the right thing. Doing right simply means that you are taking the initiative to move on out there with the truth toward people who need to know the truth. So the truth can set them free. Do right. If you know to do good and you don't do it, if you neglect it, if you put it off, if you procrastinate, if you say some other time, you are sinning. The Bible says if you know to do good and you do not do good, to you it is S-I-N. It's the sin of neglect. It's the sin of omission. It's the sin of not involving yourself properly to do what God wants you to do. So be a doer of the Word and not a here only. The Bible is such a practical guide for living the life of communicating Christianity. And communicating Christianity effectively becomes your lot in life. It constantly reminds us that we need to be about doing the job God has entrusted us to do and not trying to do it alone. Enlarging our own sphere of influence is bringing other people into the picture who will help us, who will multiply, who will help accomplish far more together than we possibly could do alone. And as we get our hearts in tune with Him and with each other, being all in one accord in one place, then and only then can we really see what can happen. You need to get your mind set on a vision. See it in your mind's eye. What it's going to be like when the impact that you're going to make, that you're going to put together really happens. You'll be able to close your eyes and see the people coming in. See them reading the poster. See them picking up a piece of paper. See them reading that piece of information that came in the mail. See them looking at a newspaper article. See them watching a television announcement. See them listening to a radio broadcast. And they say to their friend, "Are you going to go? I think I will. Will you go with me? How about it? Would you like to come on in?" And then the telephone begins to ring. And someone says, "Will you come and be my guest? I've got to get 12 people at this thing. Will you be one?" And another makes his phone calls. And another makes her phone calls. And other people go one on one, house to house, desk to desk. Come on. We're going to go. Are you coming with us? And as this happens, you will understand that when you set a goal, when you decide to do all you can, wonderful things will transpire. God will make you usable and use you to make an impact. Impact means I must personally advance Christianity today. And two questions. My friend Ken Anderson asked these questions and they're pertinent. They're potent. If not I who, if not now when. Let's have a special event. Let's have an opportunity for people to come and have a wonderful time. We can get all excited about what's going to happen. But then we need to do something about it. Do all you can. Prayer does change things in people, but God wants you to pray for the strength to be active, not the strength just to watch others work. God wants to make you usable. He wants to use you to make an impact on your world. Dr. R. A. Torrey was the second president of the famous Moody Bible Institute. He was a friend of the founder Dwight L. Moody. And Dr. Torrey wrote a book. It was a turn of this century book written a lot of years ago. But the title of the book is a how-to book. The title, How to Work for Christ. And some of the things in that book need to be applied to you and me today. Dr. Torrey said this. Listen carefully. The advertisement that gets a person out to hear the gospel is just as important in its place as the message through which he hears the gospel. You say really? Yes, really. Because you see, you can stand up and preach a magnificent sermon. You can wax eloquent. But if no one is there to hear you, what good does it do? It might make you feel good, but it doesn't win anyone to Jesus, does it? But if you send out a piece of promotion, if you get a poster out, if you get a bulletin insert in someone's hands, if you get a flyer, put in the grocery bag at a store, if you get a banner placed around town, if you get this or get that or get the other thing, or get on radio or get on TV or whatever, somebody's going to say, "I think I'm going to come." And they come and they hear the message and they believe on Christ and they're saved. God didn't use that to get them to the gospel. Oh, yes, he did. You bet. Because that's the way it works. He wants us to work as if it all depends on us, and to pray because it all depends on him. At 727 every Saturday, the corner of U.S. Highway 41 north and Booneville, New Harmony Road. Teenagers, preteens, adults gather at a place called the Triple T. And you're invited to come tonight and be part of the action. It's exciting to see what God has done and what he is doing. Tonight, next Saturday and the first Saturday of April, Hosanna Highway, the Crimson Trail, an interactive series of experiences through the Bible, sharing the story of redemption, creation through the Great Commission, the last words that Jesus gave before his ascension are going to be presented in a very special way. And you're invited to come and see it, to experience it, to have a part of something very, very different. Being put together by some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens and adult coaches. And so, we want you to know that each Saturday, the Gospel is shared here at Triple T, sometimes in very creative ways. Always though, we present the Gospel ABC style. Some time ago, even before coming here to establish Triple T, I was invited to have a weekend crusade in Rock Hill, South Carolina. And I was asked to speak to every age group in that particular congregation over the three days that we were meeting. And I asked the Lord to give me something that would be very, very easily understood by the younger, the teenagers, and the adults. And He gave me God's ABCs. A, admit you have sinned, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. B, believe on Christ. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that her believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. C, confess Christ publicly, that if you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart, that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart when believes to righteousness, with the mouth, confession is made to salvation. A friend of ours that was an evangelist was an outstanding Christian communicator. He was the first president of an organization called the Young People's Fellowship Clubs. He spread the gospel all across America and then took it internationally. But He was not too far from us within a 300-mile length up in Indiana, conducting a meeting, and He was sharing a Scripture verse. The Scripture verse was, "All we like sheep have gone astray." And then He also shared, "All have sinned and come sure of the glory of God." And He asked the audience a question, "Can anybody here tell me what all means?" And from the back of the auditorium, a young man stood up to his full height and said, "Yes, or I know." And he said, "All right, tell us, son, what does all mean?" The young man said, "All means all." That's all all means. All means all. It's all inclusive. It leaves nobody out. It brings everybody in. Everybody everywhere is a sinner. That's all that means. All means all. For all have sinned. So we need to take that message. The person who had that meeting in Warsaw, Indiana, was Dr. Clifford Lewis, a very, very special person whom God used immensely to touch a world with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. And literally hundreds and thousands of youth came to Christ and put together evangelistic outreaches all during the mid-30s and early-40s. And some things that happened during His ministry are still having an impact worldwide. What about you? Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do you know Him? Well, you admit you have sinned. We believe in the Lord Jesus. We confess Him publicly. We have something to sin to you. It's a Bible. You can come tonight to get it or you can write. So listen to the address and get yours now. Christ through you can change the world.
