[MUSIC PLAYING] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12-2, looking James Version. It was Jesus who paid the price. It was He who authored and completed the faith factor for you and for me. Now we have the opportunity and the responsibility of placing our faith totally in Him. God loves you. Jesus died for you, and now He wants you to live for Him. The resurrected Jesus, who is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God, is interceding for you and for me. When we pray in Jesus' name, wonderful things happen. God wants us to pray. He wants us to read His word. He wants us to know that His word is totally true. God wants you and me to share His word with people who need to know about Him. He wants us to fellowship with other believers who together with us can go with the gospel, to folk who need the Lord. It's your opportunity today to serve Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith and mind. The question is, will you? It's your call. Listen to James 1, 2 and 3, New King James. My brethren, cut it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Now that's not something any of us look forward to. It's a difficult way of life, but it's the way of life for every believer, and we are to count it all joy, like Jesus did, as He looked forward to the cross and the burial and the resurrection and the interceding for you and for me. We're going to fall into various trials, and the testing of our faith will produce patience. It's a tough way to go, but it's the way God wants us to go. So please understand this. Life is not a bed of roses. There are going to be difficult days. There are going to be things happen that we don't anticipate, that we will never understand this side of eternity. But we need to know that whatever happens, God cares, and our faith can increase. Pray with other believers who have faith in Christ, read God's word together and then determine how to get the gospel to more people more effectively together than we could do by ourselves. There is someone waiting for you to pray and to go with God's wonderful good news. Will you? I hope you will. I hope you will today. Make sure that your faith is firm and solid. Listen to James 1-6, New King James Version. But let him ask in faith with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. If you've ever been on a criss-crap on the goth of Mexico, like I have, and watched the wind toss the craft, you know something about being driven by a wave of the sea. But our faith has got to be intact and implicit. Let's don't doubt, but let's believe. It's hard, it's tough, it's very difficult, very difficult, because other people don't understand when you put faith in effect, but God does. And he wants you to do this on a consistent basis. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not in your own understanding. In all of your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. If you believe that, then do something about it. Not only read the word of God, but also heed the word of God, and share that with some other believers, and then together, after praying and looking into God's word, share God's plan of salvation with some people who really need the Lord. Somebody out there is waiting for you to tell them the truth. So the question of questions is this, will you? Listen to this very special warning from God's word. James 2-1, New King James Version. My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory with partiality. Speaking plainly, don't waver, don't wander, but hold fast to the faith that you must place in Christ if you are going to have his blessings. God does want to bless you. He wants to bless you today and tomorrow in all of your tomorrow's, but you have to put your faith in him without partiality. In other words, don't say, well, look what God did for him, or for her, or for them, or whatever else you want to say. But know that God loves you as an individual. So don't try to compare yourself to others and say, oh, look what God did for them. But rather bask in the fullness of God's presence and say, oh, look what God is doing for me because of my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you can say that, if you believe that, if you will share that with other believers, if you will understand that God's word wants happenings in your heart when you believe it, then you can take it to people who don't yet believe and help them see the truth. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Tell them. Listen, my beloved brethren, has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who love him? James 2, 5, New King James. What a wonderful promise this is. Have you ever thought about the fact that riches in this world don't really count? Only what counts is what you do for God. Only what you entrust to him. Only what you develop for his glory. Only the seeds that you sow with the gospel are going to reap rewards that will last forever. God wants us to know that we are going to be heirs of Christ, joint heirs in the kingdom of God. Love him with all of your heart. Love others and then reach out to everybody you can as effectively as you possibly know how. Know that God has a plan for you and for other believers with whom you can fellowship and interact. And as you look into God's word, together, pray together, then go to those who need the Lord, those who need to know how to trust Jesus for eternal life. If you know God's word, if you have become a believer in Christ, then share your faith effectively and specifically. The book of James is pretty pragmatic as it explains and expands on what faith really is. Listen to James 2 17, New King James Version. Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. What does this mean? I think it is trying to tell us that if we really have faith, we are going to do something about it. If we believe that Jesus saves, we're going to tell people who don't believe it. We're going to share the gospel with those who need to know that Jesus saves. We need to let them know how he saves. We need to share it with them that they are sinners. You are a sinner. I am a sinner. Everyone is a sinner. For all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. And then we need to let them know that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord. When we trust in the Lord and really, really believe on him, we're going to be willing to tell other people about him. So go with other believers. Go with the gospel. Read God's word and take God's word to people who could really be saved by Jesus. Yes, it really is true. Jesus saves. He saves to the uttermost, those who trust him. But someone will say, you have faith and I have works. Show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works. James 2 18, New King James. Now don't let that befuddled you or confuse you. Just understand this, that if you really have faith, you will work for God's glory. You see, putting your faith into effect means that you are going to put feet on your prayers. You're not going to just sit around and say, oh God do this or God do that and expect him to do it all because he wants to make you usable and to use you for his glory. It's why we look every day in the Romans 12-1. It says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. God wants you to know that he cares and he wants you to have your faith in him. But then he wants you to do something about it. God wants people to know about Jesus. Now he could write it in the clouds and make it all happen in a split second worldwide in every language, but that's not how he chose to do it. He chose to use people like you and like me. So as believers, we need to put our faith into effect by working for the glory of the Lord. The best work we can do is it is a work of an evangelist. (upbeat music) - Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US 41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, mid-way between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages six to nine is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. (upbeat music) - And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation, but as it is written, to whom he was not announced, they shall see, and those who have not heard shall understand. That's my goal, to share the gospel everywhere across the tri-state. You say, but everybody here is heard, oh no, they have it. In Gibson County, Indiana, less than 20 miles from where I'm speaking. A young man was invited to come to Triple T. That's what we do every Saturday night. We have an event. It's called a Tiger Team Impact. And this young man came, sophomore in high school. He had never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ before. And he heard, and he came back, and then he skipped a week. And then he came back, and on the third time here, four weeks after he first heard God's plan of salvation, he admitted he was a sinner. He believed on the Lord Jesus. He confessed Christ publicly. And now, growing in Christ, he's endeavoring to reach out to friends who don't know the Lord. That's what this ministry is all about. That's why we do what we do when we do it as we do it. We have tigers, teens involved, going, evangelizing regularly. And we have tiger teammates, people who are willing to invest their time, talent, and treasure. They become encouragers just by giving $20 in cash or serving the Lord with a couple of hours of their time. And then there are some that become enlargers, and they give more. On average of $20, $25 a month during the course of a year. And then as we expand out across the tri-state, to counties where we haven't had the privilege of ministering effectively week by week and month by month and year by year yet, we're expanding. And the expanders give an average of $100 a month so that we can reach out to more people more effectively. The objective is to partner in youth evangelism with local congregations and ministries. Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth Events happen as God opens doors. In 31 of the 93 Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky counties with 100 miles by December 28, 2013, Triple T's 2500th consecutive Saturday, the Lord willing. 62 of the counties in 2014 in all 93 counties by 2015. Triple T's Jubilee year, going to February 6, 2016, Triple T's Golden Anniversary. This year-long celebration will set the tone for Triple T's second 50-year span. If the Lord tears his return, our omnipotent omniscient God knows the possibilities. Now through 2020 and beyond, all glory goes to God. Today is to be a Tiger Team Training Day. 10 to 19 year olds will become in God willing, along with some adults, to learn how to share their faith in Christ effectively. They'll be trained in leadership and peer evangelism. It's happened in years before, in 2012, it was a great year of training and sending and seeing what God could do and would do and did do. Let's celebrate what God has done in 2012. Thousands heard the gospel. Hundreds responded to the invitation to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Youth trained in leadership and peer evangelism took the gospel to highways and hedges. See Luke 1423. They shared with seat mates on school buses, in cafeterias and in their neighborhoods. They gave Triple T New King James Bibles to classmates, to neighbors and to fairgoers and street festival attendees in 11 counties. They led many youths to Christ. Pastors and youth leaders, partners in youth evangelism host a Triple T team and guests in 15 different auditoriums, gyms, or parking lots. Multitudes more have also heard the good news every Saturday night and between Saturday's person to person. The word of the Lord is being spread on billboards, print, internet, via radio, twice daily, through news media and public meetings. Hundreds become believers, one by one. So you're invited to celebrate during the month of February. The Lord has graciously guided. He has blessed the faithfulness of 2,450 consecutive Saturday nights as of last week, so far, and counting. On February 2nd, Triple T turns 47. And you are invited to join us. All during the month of February, we're going to be celebrating because of what God has done, what He's doing, what we anticipate He's going to do. We're moving forward toward an event. March 21, 22 and 23, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday called Hosanna Highway. It's a production that's going to involve teenagers and preteens using video and drama and music to communicate the last week of Jesus' life on Earth. Then during April and May, we'll be recruiting and training tabernacle tour guides and travel in tigers. Early in May, we're going to prepare the site and set up the life-size Old Testament tabernacle. Tours begin May 18 and go all the way through October 18 for five months. We're looking for tour guides, people who understand how you can find Jesus in the tabernacle. It's life-size. It's as authentic as it's possible to make it. And you're going to really enjoy seeing a very, very special happening. The middle of May through the middle of October. And all summer long, we'll be going out to fairs and street festivals. From July 8 to August 10, backing up May 33, June 1, June 6 through 8, June 13 through 15, we'll be having travel and tiger minicamps for three days each of three weeks. And then in the middle of it all, July 13, Jesus Christ changed in a world summit, featuring creative Christian communicators. Achievement awards will be presented based on a standard of excellence for each category. Ministries cooperating in use of angiism are again invited to participate. We have what we call triple T's culture of cooperation. Leaders with Evansville Christian Life Center, Evansville Dream Center, right to life of Southwest Indiana, Teen Missions International, with AIDS orphans and street children and motorcycle Sunday school mission, Youth of Vansam Association. All of these are invited to be with us for the summit. And people are coming from across the country to be with us for the fairs. And it's going to be a wonderful, wonderful happening. So you're invited. And everything keeps building and building and building all the way until we have the 40th anniversary of Youth Evangelism Association. It'll also include the youth leaders' intensive training, including Tiger Team Impact 727 PM on Tuesday, October 15. Then the awards dinner, October 17, with a very special guest, our friend, former board member, Evans list all over the world, Clyde Dupin. The book about his life is called Born to Be the Evangelist. And people who are well known in the Christian world have saluted Clyde for his marvelous ministry. And of course at 727, he started his rallies because he picked that up from being on the board of triple T. And people would ask him, "Why 727?" And he would always say, "Two things." Because it's easier to remember than 7 or 730. Because I was on the board of triple T Christian youth ministries, tri-state youth for Christ. And we always started at 727. And by the way, we still do. And we will start on 727 tonight. And you're invited to come and be a part of what's going on here. I can't even tell you who all is going to be on the platform. It depends on who comes to the leading youth day, or we call it now, Tiger Team Training. But they will be putting together some things that you will be excited to see happen. And every person who comes for the first time gets one of our triple T New King James Bibles. And we have one for you. We'll be giving these out at fairs. And we're hoping this year that God will enable us to go not just to the 11 counties that we went to last year, but again, the Lord willing, this year, we want to be going to 31 counties. We were in 15 total different counties last year. And so we're doubling plus one. God's gracious. He's good. He's wonderful. And so we're hoping that we will be able to begin going right away during the month of February. We're bringing Lee Humoke back. And we'll be traveling together the last half of February, the first couple of days of March, going out to community after community, and Saturday nights here at triple T. So pray with us and for us, and be a part of all of this. We are an inter-nominational church connected, Bible believing ministry that is aggressively evangelistic. That means we don't wait for people to come to us. We go to them with the gospel. In just a moment, I'm going to share with you how inter-nominational we are just in one little town, my hometown, Mount Carmel, Illinois. Stay tuned. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] It has been my privilege and opportunity to share God's ABCs with congregation after congregation all across the tri-state, all across America, and especially in my hometown. Starting at Grace Memorial, first Baptist, first general Baptist, free Methodist, Church of God, Trinity, and the EUM, or Evangelion United Methodist churches, Church of Nazarene, Hartland worship center, first Christian, and on and on. It's been my privilege, my delight to share how people can get to heaven. Here's how. Admit that you've sinned, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and then confess Christ publicly. Jesus said, for God so loved the world. You've heard it. Hear it again. For God so loved the world that he gave, his only begotten son, that who believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. And then we're to tell people, if you'll confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved, for it's a heart and one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. Every believer in Christ should pray diligently and respond then to Romans 12, 1 and 2. I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service, and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. And the Bible candidly presents the team concept. For I say through the grace given to me to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we being many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another, having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them. Romans 12, 3 through 6a, New King James Version. Pat Williams of Orlando Magic fame in his book, "Extreme Dreams, Depend on Teams," says. Teams exists to enable people to work together and achieve high goals that would be out of reach for individuals working separately. Teamwork multiplies abilities and strengths. Teamwork enables individuals to compliment one another, and compensate for one another's lacks and weaknesses. That's why we have Tigers, Tiger Team. Tiger means teens involved going evangelizing regularly. Team means together everyone accomplishes more, and we have Tiger teammates. Triple T's executive board invites believers to join them as Tiger teammates, investing time and talent and treasure, praying and providing resources in support. Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. Saint Corinthians 9, 10/11, New King James. Will you pray and then help your ministry multiply? You can become a Tiger teammate, encourager by investing just $20. You provide a scholarship from one of the Tigers in training. Make it possible for them to learn how to share their faith in Christ, to learn leadership techniques and stretch their abilities to become creative Christian communicators. So that's a $20 entry fee that lets you be personally a Tiger teammate. Will you just pray about it and let us know that you're going to do it. Even come tonight and we'll give you your Bible and let you know a whole lot more about Triple T. The second opportunity is to be a Tiger teammate enlarger endeavoring to give monthly $75 or $50 or $25 as God leads you to. Or you can be in the very, very needed category a Tiger teammate expander. Giving $300, $200, $150, $100 a month as God enables you. Now, we have very few doing that, but we have some and we need more. We need at least one of those enlargers for everyone of the 31 counties where we're going to go God willing this year. So pray about it, let us hear from you and know this when you pray and give Christ through you can change the world.
