Telling The TRUTH
111712 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2, 8, and 9, New King James Version. Grace is magnificent. Salvation is fantastic, and faith makes it all happen. It's not you, it's God. It's a gift from Him to you. You can't work for it, you can't buy it, you can't do anything except be willing to receive God's gift of eternal life. If you have received that gift, wonderful, then help other people get it too. Let them know that Jesus died so they could live. He didn't stay dead, he was buried, and he rose again. He had lived perfectly, being born of a virgin, and then God called him home. It was all over. He was crucified because you and I sinned. So now, the gift of God is available. You and I need to share it with those who don't have it, but who could receive it if we would tell them how. Will you? Let those folk for whom you care know that they need to admit they've sinned. To believe in the Lord Jesus, to turn to Him from their sins and receive His gift. According to the eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Ephesians 3, 11 and 12, New King James, have you prayed today? Have you had the boldness to go before the throne of God? Do you know that he has an eternal purpose just for you? He accomplished this purpose for you through the Lord Jesus Christ, and if you have believed on Him and are sharing your faith with others about Him, God will bless you abundantly. What he wants you to do now is to reflect on His goodness and implicitly put your faith with no reservation in Him, knowing that God will make you usable and use you if you will listen to Him and reach out to others for His glory. Remember, God loves you and God loves others too, and He wants to love those others through you. Would you allow that to happen? Will you pray? Will you read the Word of God? Will you go with the gospel today? Will you pray with other believers? And together will you determine that there are folk that you could reach, if you will. Will you? Listen to Ephesians 3, 17 and 18, New King James Version. See where you fit in this picture. That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height. Have you really put your faith in Jesus? Are you rooted and grounded in His love, in His Word? Can you comprehend the width of His love, the length of His love, the depth of His love, and the height of His love? It's unfathomable, but yet it's there for you. If you have trusted Jesus, He's expecting you to represent Him into your world. Will you? First pray, then read God's Word, then be in fellowship with other people who also believe, and together determine to share Jesus Christ and Him crucified, buried, and risen again with those who need to know Him. There's somebody waiting, they're waiting for you. They're waiting for you to tell them the truth, to let them know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. And no one comes to the Father, except through Him. Where are you in your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus? Can you identify with Ephesians 4, 13, New King James? Do we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ? It's pretty outstanding, isn't it? Unity of the faith, knowledge of the Son of God, a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of His fullness, the fullness of Christ. That's where we need to be. In order to get there, read God's Word. Pray diligently, expectantly, and then fellowship around the Scriptures with other believers. Together, pray for those who don't yet know Christ, and determine how to go to them with God's saving gospel. Some people are waiting for someone like you to tell them how to get to heaven. It's really up to you and your friends. So will you and they pray and then go with the gospel? I hope you will. I know you can if you really know the Lord. Do you realize that someone can go to heaven if someone like you will tell them, "Will you be the one? You can, so do it." Do you have on the whole armor of God? Learn about it by reading Ephesians chapter 6. Listen to verse 16, New King James. Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Now the amazing thing about that verse is it says all the fiery darts of the wicked one. How? By using your shield of faith. Do you really have that faith intact at the ready? Satan is going to throw fiery darts at you if you are a believer. He doesn't like you. As a matter of fact, he hates you. In reverse of his tactics, you need to love others as yourself and love God the very, very most. Keep that whole armor of God on and then go with the gospel. The sort of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Look into your Bible, read it and heed it and then take God's good news to people you know who don't know Christ or who are having spiritual difficulties. Go with them in love and faith, expectantly. Will you do that? I hope you will. I hope that you will understand it day by day we challenge you to take God's good news to folk you know and love. Do you have peace? Do you have love? Do you have faith? Listen to Ephesians 623, New King James Version. Peace to the brethren and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Peace to the brethren, every other believer in Christ you included can have peace. And we need to have love and with that love, faith. That faith comes from God, God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. And the Holy Spirit will enable you to not only use that faith but to keep your faith moving toward others. God loves you and he wants you to love others too. He wants you to love them so much that you will pray with other believers about those who don't know Christ. That together you will look again into the Word of God. Let God speak to your heart and then take his glorious gospel lovingly to people who need to know him today. You can if you will. It's up to you. Please don't say I've heard all this before. The reason I say it consistently is so that one day you will get it and you will do something about it and someone because of you will go to heaven. Paul is writing to his friends the church at Philippi. Listen, "And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith." Philippians 1, 25, New King James. Confidence is a wonderful thing that you can have. That is a gift from God. And Paul had this much confidence. He says, "I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith." You see, God wants you to respond to people that he has put into your picture. Those folk in your life whom you can help move forward for his glory. Do you have the joy of faith, joy of faith for your progress? The way you can progress is number one to read the Word of God consistently. Number two, pray all the time without ceasing. Thirdly, fellowship with other believers and fourth, do what God says to do. Go take the gospel to those folk who need to know Jesus. Who do you know that doesn't know him or who is having spiritual difficulties? Will you pray and then share Jesus' love with them? Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T. 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. A little while ago, we talked about putting on God's armor. We talked about the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. But I want to share with you the whole thing about God's armor from Ephesians chapter 6. Beginning with verse 10, "Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wild of the devil. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waste with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. Being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints." And Paul goes on and says, "And for me that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador. I relate to that, and I ask you to pray for me as I endeavor to share the gospel time after time with person after person and those on our team." We have a thing called "Tiger Team." Tiger means "teens involved, going, evangelizing regularly." These are people between the ages of 10 and 19 who understand the necessity of first of all admitting that they have sinned, believing on the Lord Jesus, confessing Him publicly, and then sharing their faith with others. We train them as tigers in pure evangelism and leadership. And then we have a support group, "Tiger Teammates." These are adults who pray diligently, enthusiastically, and who invest their time, or their talent, or their treasure, or any one or two or three of those entities. And because of their caring, your caring, the gospel keeps going forward. Here's how it works. Last Saturday night, we challenged the kids to pray about people with whom they go to school, people in their neighborhood, people that they know, that from all our appearances, or having spiritual problems, and in all probability, don't even know Jesus. And so we asked them if they would prayerfully consider taking a Bible and giving it to that person for whom they are concerned and sharing God's good news. We had seven respond last Saturday. We're anxious to see what God has done this week. And as we meet together tonight, God willing, we'll get some reports. Hopefully, we'll hear about some people that are now headed for heaven that weren't this time last week. And as this army increases, as more people catch the vision, it's going to be a magnificent thing to watch God work. I want to share with you again the greatest need in the world. But if our gospel be hidden, it is hidden to those that are lost, those that are perishing, those that are dying without Jesus. Jesus said, "Hit does not believe as condemned already because he's not believed in the name and the only begotten Son of God." Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that he gave." He gave His only begotten Son that her believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. God's Word tells us the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. That's why we're to put on the whole armor of God once we admit we are sinners. Turn to Jesus from our sins, receive His gift of eternal life. If you'll confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus God's Word says, "Believing your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be safe, with the heart one believes to righteousness, with the mouth confectioners made to salvation." And so we have youth, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, years old, sharing their faith in Christ with others, and some older, 16, 17, 18, 19, 18, who have been here, who have heard who are going. We got an email this week from a former teenager. I remember the first email we got from her letting us know that she was on the other side of the world now. And this time she sent an email saying, "For 21 years she and her husband have been working in Indonesia." And she was talking about Miramar, that they are now penetrating that particular place for God's glory. We're excited about her and her husband and their ministry. They're now expanding out to two more places. As God works in the hearts and lives of people, tremendous things happen, not just here where we are, but out around the world. In 1996, we formed a coalition. We called it Tiger Team Impact, involving team missions international, AIDS orphans and street children ministries, and Triple T Christian youth ministries. Now we have had one more, the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission. And through the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission, the goal is to take the light of the Gospel to those waiting to hear the Avenue of Sunday School. Currently, we have 114 Sunday schools in Africa, and have the goal to have 212 by 12, 12, 12. Just a little bit more than a month, a little less than a month from now. Many other countries are now asking for this new and life-changing ministry to be brought to them. As God provides, it'll happen. We're excited about the cause of what happens. Literacy classes are a part of the Sunday schools. And by the way, the Sunday schools are like the old-fashioned Methodist circuit riders, except instead of using horses, we use dirt bikes to go back into the jungle, back into the villages, because the kids are there as orphans. Their parents have died of AIDS. Oh, there might be an older person, a grandmother, an older aunt or uncle. But their parents are gone, and these kids need help. And so part of it is literacy. These classes have made a difference in many lives. Young and old alike are learning to read for the first time, and there are multiple testimonies of children improving in school because the phonics classes enforce and reinforce their skills. Learning to speak, to read, to write English is helping many young people as English is the language of the Internet. From Malawi in all kinds of places across Africa, Zambia, Cameroon, Madagascar, South Africa, and now opening again Zimbabwe. What a delight it is to reach these people. Listen to this testimony. Our Sunday school lessons are being beneficial to everyone who comes to hear them. We have a combined class of Christians and Muslims. We have some children who aren't allowed to go to church because their parents will not allow it. But by having a chance to listen to the Word of God through Sunday school lessons, they have the advantage of knowing the great works of God over their lives. We work hard to teach them the importance of knowing Christ. Game time is very helpful at this location because games help our Christian, children, and Muslim children to grow in love and to work together. That again is in Malawi. God's working wonderfully and we are seeing lives transformed. We saw one boy come to the Lord after passing by the Sunday school. He was 13 years old. He decided to take a walk one day as he passed near where we were teaching Sunday school. One of the teachers saw him and when he passed by, they decided to follow him and tell him about the good news of the gospel. He responded and accepted Christ right then and there and decided to start attending Sunday school. He is now a professed follower of Christ and has been faithfully coming every week. What a transformation the Lord did in the life of this young man named Paul in the lives of all the children who attend Sunday school. Stay tuned as we're going to tell you some more things about how all this works. Triple T is a part of a worldwide outreach hand in hand with Teen Missions International, AIDS Orphans and Street Children, and now the Motorcycle Sunday School. We're going to talk to you and let you know about the BMW Training Centers. The life blood of the Ministry of Teen Missions is BMW Bible Missionary Work Training Centers. This is a three-year free Bible training program and it's literally impacting the world. The graduates of the twenty-four schools scattered worldwide are now facilitators at the AIDS Orphans and Street Children Rescue Units, the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission Circuit Riders, and several are running or working at some of the overseas boot camp and overseas bases. In Indonesia, Teen Missions has added a government-approved bachelor's program that certifies the graduates to be teachers of religion, including the Bible. In that country, many graduates have gone on to be pastors of churches or to hold other ministry positions. And here in America, at the Florida headquarters, students are available to do whatever is needed. They're invaluable to the ministry and in the setup of the life-sized replica of the Old Testament tabernacle. We're having that here, and God willing, it'll be opening about the middle of May and be available through the middle of October. A lot of people said, "Oh, I missed it last time." In fact, I had lunch today with someone who said, "I tried to come and it was November and it was already closed." Well, we'll know soon the exact opening date, and we'll let you know. But from mid-May to mid-October, the Old Testament tabernacle will be available to be toured. It's a marvelous, marvelous opportunity. We'll have tour guides that will be ready and willing to answer questions and to share the why of the tabernacle, how Christ is depicted in this Old Testament replica. It's exciting to work with Teen Missions International. There are currently 38 boot camps around the world, and each year over 3,000 national young people go through the program. As a result of their participation, churches are being built, youth camps refurbished, service projects such as outhouses and bridges, completed and children's programs carried out. The gospel is being shared through films and drama, choirs, sports outreaches, and door-to-door evangelism. Teens come to the program from all walks of life and at different points in their spiritual journey. It's a blessing each year to hear the testimonies of how the Lord has changed lives. Some are impacted by memorizing Bible verses, others by seeing an answer to prayer, and thankfully many accept Jesus as their personal Savior. Traveling the world, former teen members, stop and say, "God used this ministry to impact my life and to change me forever." It's a delight to work with Teen Missions, AIDS Orvices Street children, Motorcycle Center School Mission, and all the things that are happening here. Did you know that during our first 46-plus years of telling the truth through teenagers and two teenagers, because of the grace of God and the faithfulness of generosity of those who pray and invest time, talent and treasure, thousands of teenagers have responded to the challenge, Christ through you can change the world, and many thousands more have had the opportunity to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Triple T continues to reach out to several thousand teenagers and preteens every year, and an average of 500 of those each year make decisions for Christ through Triple T and our outreaches. As we move toward our 47th year of youth of angels of ministry and beyond, there are tremendous opportunities to reach many more youth for Christ and to train and prepare Christian youth to reach their peers with the gospel as teenagers and throughout their adult lives wherever God leads them in their future. We invite you to prayerfully consider making a legacy investment in Triple T's future growth and impact by including Triple T Christian youth ministries in your plan giving. We have an opportunity now between this moment that we're speaking to you and the end of the year for you to give a tax-deductible contribution that can be in person by mail or online through www.tttchristianyouth.org. We want you to know that we'll be here through December 31 all the way to midnight and you can even come by. But meanwhile, why don't you determine now to be a Tiger teammate? Pray and give at least $20 to provide a scholarship for another one of the 10 to 19 year olds that will be training in peer evangelism and leadership. We need your prayer support. We want to help you tell us how to pray for you and we certainly will. Christ through you can change the world.
