Telling The TRUTH
092912 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. So God who knows the heart acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as He did to us and made no distinction between us and them purifying their hearts by faith. Acts 15, 8, and 9, to King James Version. When God began to expand the church, when it began to happen, and I am talking about church with a capital C, the church universal, the church worldwide, the fellowship, the body of believers everywhere. It continues by faith. The faith factor is essential. You cannot be a Christian without first believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, turning to Him from your sins, asking Him to forgive you for every sin, shortcoming, mess up that you have had happen in your life. God has a wonderful plan for you. He has redeemed you if you have believed on Christ. But now it becomes our responsibility as well as our opportunity to share the gospel with as many people as we possibly can, as quickly as we can. I just heard a story today about a young man going to school, sharing his faith, and leading a classmate to Christ. He learned how to share his faith with Triple T Christian Youth Ministries this summer. What a blessing. What about you? Do you know how to share your faith in Jesus Christ? Will you? Acts 16, 4, and 5, New King James says, and as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep. Of course, were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem. So the churches were strengthened in the faith and increased in number daily. That's God's plan. His plan is for us to place our faith implicitly in Him, in His Son Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, who was buried, and who rose again, and who now intercedes at the right hand of God the Father. And we, as believers in Christ, have the Holy Spirit in dwelling in us, empowering us, giving us the privilege of sharing the glorious gospel of God with unsaved human beings. Who do you know who doesn't know Christ? Would you fellowship with other believers? Will you pray for those people who need the Lord? Will you read God's Word? Will you saturate yourself with the Scriptures? And then will you take the gospel to people who need to know that all they have to do is to admit they have sinned, to turn to Jesus from their sins, to believe with all of their hearts, and then to tell other people that they believe. With the heart one believes under righteousness, with the mouth confession is made to salvation. Are you confessing Christ now? Are you telling somebody today? Will you? Will you go with the gospel? The methods Paul and Peter and the other followers of the Lord Jesus put into effect is shared with us in the Book of Acts. It still works today. If you work the plan, the plan works. Listen prayerfully to Acts 20, 2021, New King James Version. And how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews and also to Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. That's it. Turning about face to Jesus from your sins, telling other people that you have believed on Christ once you have actually done it, multiplying your ministry by telling others how they too can get to heaven. You know how to get there, I hope. If you don't, I'm going to tell you. Admit you have sinned, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. And then He says to confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus, believing in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead. Tell somebody. The Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, want to empower you to give you the privilege of serving the God who created the universe. Listen to Romans 1-5, New King James. It's powerful. Through whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name. Yes, the world needs to hear about Jesus, and there are things that you and I can do today. First, we can pray. We can pray for people everywhere. I pray for my privilege every day to pray for people who are serving the Lord in various parts of the world, naming them as they celebrate salvation, happening on continent after continent, country after country. And you can do that too. Secondly, read the Word of God. Let God speak with you. Read the Book of Romans. What a wonderful, wonderful book of God's divine doctrines for you. And then go with the Gospel. You and I have the privilege of touching people everywhere if we will. You can write a letter. You can make a statement. You can share the good news in other form, but you can share. Will you? There is somebody waiting. You're the one that can tell them the truth. To light yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. One of my heart's desires is to be able to personify what is shared in Romans 1-8. New King James Version. Listen. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. My goal in life is to communicate Christianity effectively and to see it spread everywhere. It's such an opportunity to be able to come to you every day with God's glorious Word and to share a challenge so that you and I can heed the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. We can use every mass media and every intimate invitation at our disposal to share the Gospel with people who need the Lord. We can pray. We can read God's Word. We can fellowship with other believers, praying together, and then we can go and we can share and we can preach, proclaim, proclamation, publicize, promote the Gospel to everyone everywhere we possibly can. There are people you know that I don't know. There are people you can reach that I can't reach. But together, by praying with and for one another, we can make an impact that will never, ever end. The fellowship factor can be fantastic. Romans 1, 11 and 12, New King James says, "For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established, that is that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me." Together, we can accomplish more than we possibly can alone. Team means "together everyone accomplishes more." I hope you understand that by praying with and for other believers, by reading God's Word together, by then determining how you are going to implement it, you can strengthen one another. As we share God's glorious Gospel with people who need the Lord, wonderful things can happen. Lives can be changed, homes can be rearranged, and whole areas can receive an impact from the Lord. Impact means "I must personally advance Christianity today." That's my goal, that's my heartbeat. What about you? What would you do with the Gospel? Will you take it to the people who need the Lord, whom you know, praying diligently, and expecting results? I hope you will. There are folk out there who are simply waiting for you to come and tell them what Jesus did for them and what can happen when they believe. Listen to Romans 1 17, New King James Version, "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.'" It was that phrase, "The just shall live by faith that hit Martin Luther in the heart and caused the Reformation to happen." He believed the Bible. He began then to put the Bible into effect through that verse. His faith in Christ was enough for him to know that he could be a just person, and he could help other people. Others become believers on Christ, fellowshiping with them, challenging them through the Word of God, making the Word of God out to as many people as possible, through as much of the techniques and technologies that were available in his day. God's timing is always perfect, and he knew what would happen in the heart of Martin Luther, as he had already impacted the heart and life of Johann Gutenberg, the inventor of movable type, who was privileged to print the very first Bible through that new invention. Now God's Word is available everywhere because of the impetus and the increase in availability of the Scriptures in every form. We now have the whole Bible, not just in our hands, but also on iPads, iPads, and more. There is no excuse not to have the Bible or to share it. Really? Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. The harvest has passed, the summer has ended, and we are not saved. That is a devastating thing to have to comprehend, but it's what the Bible says. What's the answer? Listen to this poem that I learned as a freshman in college. Give us a watchword for the hour, a thrilling word, a word of power, a battle cry, a flaming breath, a call to conquest or to death. A word to rouse the church from rest, to heed the master's high bequest. The call is given, ye host surise. The watchword is, evangelize. To fallen men, a dying race, make known the gift of gospel grace. The world that now in darkness lies, O church of Christ, evangelize. Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "With all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age, amen. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth, Acts 1 8. So you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Therefore you shall hear a word from my mouth and warm them of me. When I say to the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way. That wicked man shall die in his iniquity. But his blood, I will require at your hand. You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing, but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket. But on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. This scripture series that I've just shared with you should be the impetus to keep us going with the gospel wherever we are, whomever we are. This is the moment of truth. This is the day of salvation. Behold, now is accepted time. Behold, today is the day of salvation. What are you doing about it? What am I doing about it? You know what I'm doing? I'm praying. I'm asking God to give us tiger teammates who are willing to go shoulder to shoulder hour by hour, moment by moment, to pray together and then to go with the gospel to people who need the word. One of the things that we do at Triple T Christian News Ministries is to have an event every single Saturday. What a wonderful thing it is to see some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens come in. And as group after group comes, teenager after teenager, student after student, youth after youth, and youth leader after youth leader and pastor after pastor, it is a thrilling series of circumstances Saturday by Saturday. As fall began last Saturday, those who came to Triple T for tiger team training learned God's ABCs and how to share the gospel. They plan to share the gospel with their friends. It's always great when friends invite friends to Triple T and some respond to the invitation as happened last Saturday and has been happening where we go with the gospel. God's Word is quick and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword. The ABCs are this. A. Admit you've sinned. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord. Believe in Christ. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that we were believes in him should not perish but have ever lasting life. Confess Christ publicly. That if you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him for the dead, you will be safe with the heart when believes under righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. That's God's plan. We call it God's ABCs. And we have copies to send to you and they're free. You can have as many as you want. All across the tri-state during the past 12 days, we have been privileged to share the gospel again and again with person after person, community after community, in congregation after congregation, and God has done wonderful things. The thrill comes when the gospel is heard and when the response comes and a person says, "Yes, I admit that I have sinned. Yes, I will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, I will turn to him from my sins. Yes, I'm willing to stand up and be counted for Christ." And as this happens Saturday night, as it happened again Sunday morning in the church where we were, we believe it's going to continue as we get more people sharing more effectively all that God has done and is doing. It was really good to crisscross the tri-state, September 12 through 23. We were very thankful for safe travel to and from nine communities in eight counties in all three states. We were privileged to renew friendships with several Tiger teammates and we met hundreds of new folk during our 12 days as Triple T team and new life drama company ministered together. To God goes all the glory for everything He continues to do, especially winning 10 more to Christ during September so far. We look forward to continue being partners in youth of angelism with those nine local churches and many more during the fall and winter months. We're excited about Triple T's Thirsty Tooth trailer. We're heading right now for the West Side Net Club Fall Festival on Franklin Street that starts this coming Monday, October 1. We're praying for adequate, willing workers to volunteer each morning, afternoon and evening. The income raised helps Triple T reach more people through evangelistic youth efforts. Alumni, Tiger teammates, youth, and new folk and old friends at Triple T's booth for the famous hand-dipped corn dogs and more. We're excited about what God is going to do and we're thrilled about what is already done. Please pray for God's timing for Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth efforts. In the weeks ahead, we will go where and when we can to reach the most possible people that we can. If you'd like to see your community impacted for Christ, please pray and contact us. We want to be ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. You can call us, area code 812-867-2418 or you can check the web. Our website is tttchristianyouth.org. You can see what we have done where we are now and where we hope to go in the days ahead. You can send us an email. Again, the same address, info@ttchristianyouth.org. We want you to know that you are important. Listening to this broadcast lets us connect with one another. I don't know who you are, I don't know what you look like, but I do know this, God has a perfect plan for you, for your life, for all of your tomorrows, for your family, whoever is near and dear to you. And it begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet admitted you have sinned, do it today. Turn to Jesus. Let him know that you are willing to believe on him. Nothing barred, nothing held back. You're going to believe on Christ and you're going to receive the gift of God eternal life through Christ. Jesus our Lord. We want you to know that you have turned to him from your sins. Everybody everywhere is a sinner. It's not hard to figure that out. As I have gone up and down the streets of my hometown recently, as I have seen people, as I have had encounters with individuals, I see some that really know the Lord. But I am really saddened by those who have not yet responded to the gospel and to those who do know Christ, sharing him with those who could know him if they would tell the truth to those who are waiting to hear. So today, whoever you are, whatever your situation is, whatever your lot in life, know that God loves you. Jesus died for you. Yes, it's true. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. That's what God did. That's the true gospel. And when you believe on Christ, you should be then willing to tell other people you are a believer. I remember full well, the time when revival came to my hometown. It was an unprecedented series of happenings, and the gospel went forth through the hearts and lives of people, not just watching and the singing, but all over town. There were people falling on their knees saying, "God, I've sinned. I'm sorry. Forgive me." Oh, would the God that we would have another great awakening in every small town and rural community across the Tri-State and across America? Stay tuned. We're going to tell you more. ♪ The story is told of a singer who received $25,000 just for singing twice. Paul and Silas sang one night in a prison. Their song was not rendered with the skill or harmony of that polished musician, but its tenderness touched the heart of the keeper of the prison and echoed through the angel-crowded streets of heaven, and the listening king of kings rewarded these who sang with crowns of glory that will gleam in beauty throughout eternal ages. As a mortal soul is beyond all price, there is no trouble, too great, no humiliation too deep, no suffering too severe, no love too strong, no labor too hard, no expense too large, but that it is worth it if it is spent in the effort to win a soul. The Bible says, "He who wins souls is wise." God loves the soul more than all creation. He fashioned it after his own image and made it like himself. Every soul has departed from God and gone astray, and God has bought the soul back again with a price. That price was in and through and by Jesus Christ. God loves the soul with an everlasting love, but Satan hates the soul. It's Satan's enmity toward God. He is using all his energy, using every snare. His utmost cunning, employing every means with the single purpose of ruining the souls of humankind. When a million eternities have each lived their endless ages and have rolled by into the unthinkable past and time is no more, the soul will still be living. A conscious personality endowed with a perpetual life reunited with the body. God has said, "And he who wins souls is wise." As I said a while ago, that's Proverbs 11-30. The Bible says, "Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever." Compassion was the heartbeat of our Savior's ministry. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion. Compassion toward them because they were weary and scattered like sheep without a shepherd. But you, O Lord, are a God full of compassion and gracious long-suffering and abundant mercy and truth. Heaven is geared for redemption. I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 just persons who need no repentance. No one who ever had a glimpse of hell ever wanted a fellow human being to go there. Those who are now in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. The Bible talks consistently about reaping, about sowing, about the harvest time. And unfortunately, as we went through a wonderful summer of outreach, the summer has now ended. And we are not saved. But there are people out there who can be saved, who will be saved, if you and I will take the gospel to them. That's why Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries exists. Our whole mission is to communicate Christianity to and through teenagers, to win them to Christ, to train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities and into their world, where God leads them in their future. The vision, every youth, to have the opportunity to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, turning to Him from their sin before turning 20. We invite you to be a Tiger teammate.
