Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, Acts 6 relates the multiplying of the disciples and the determination of the twelve apostles to select seven men of good report and full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit and six others. Acts 6, 5, New King James Version. The first criteria was a man or man full of faith. God ordains men to be deacons who will follow him and who will put the faith factor into effect. Stephen was one of these. Are you? How is your faith? Is it strong? Are you ready to place your faith so implicitly in the Lord Jesus that you are willing to go, say, do, and be, whatever would please him the most? Will you read the word of God? Will you pray consistently? Will you gather with other believers and will you pray for those who need the Lord and go to them with God's glorious gospel? Put together a time when you can pray and read God's word and in that fellowship happening determined to reach out to people who need Jesus. Somebody you know needs to know him.
