Telling The TRUTH
090112 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dumes. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. A military officer had a servant who was suffering. He came to Jesus and asked him to speak a word so that his servant might be healed. Jesus said, "I will come and heal him." The officer said, "Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof, but only speak a word and my servant will be healed." When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to those who followed, "Assuredly I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel." Matthew 8, 7-10, New King James Version. What is your faith factor? Do you really believe that God can do anything? I believe that, and I hope that each of us will understand that when we go to the Lord believing, great things are going to happen. The most important faith element is when you personally believe on the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins and to provide for you eternal life. He will do it for you. He will do it for others if you will go and tell them the truth. Who are you praying for? Do you have other prayer partners? Are you willing to go with the gospel to those people who need the Lord? I hope you will. I hope that you will pray, read God's Word, and then take the gospel to someone even today. And behold, they brought to him a paralytic lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, be of good cheer. Your sins are forgiven you." Matthew 9-2, New King James. Isn't it wonderful to know that when we believe, when we trust, when we put our faith in the Lord Jesus, our sins are forgiven, when we turn to Him from them, when we truly believe? God wants us to share that message with people who need the Lord. Will you pray? Will you read God's Word? Will you put your faith into effect and go with the gospel to share the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus with someone who needs the Lord? Let them know that they have to admit that they have sinned, to turn to Jesus from their sins, to believe on Him. When we have that happen, and when we are willing to tell other people that we believe and confess with our mouths of Lord Jesus, God will give us eternal life and them too. Now, who do you know who needs to know that? Will you pray? Will you get out of believers to pray with you? Will you follow God's leadership and go with the gospel and tell someone today how they can go to heaven, get people praying with you, and then go with the gospel? A woman who had a problem for 12 years got close enough to Jesus to touch the hymn of His garment. She said, "And if I can just touch His garment, I will be made well." Listen to Matthew 922, New King James. But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her, He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter. Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour. God will answer prayer if our faith is intact. Put your faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God the Son. Understand that He loves you, that He wants you to serve Him once you have received Him as your personal Savior. Believing on Christ gives us the opportunity to share that good news with others, to confess our faith in Him, and to tell others how they too, by believing, can receive the gift of God, eternal life, when they turn to Jesus from their sins. Pray with other believers, read the Word of God, and then go with the gospel to someone who needs the Lord. Read His Word, believe His Word, share His Word today. When you do this, understand something magnificent is going to take place. Two blind men follow Jesus. When they came to Him, He asked them, "Do you believe I can do what you're asking?" Listen to Matthew 929, New King James Version. Then He touched their eyes saying, "According to your faith, let it be to you." When we put our faith in God, when we trust the Lord Jesus, wonderful things transpire. God wants us to read His Word, to believe His Word, to share His Word, to pray in faith believing, and then to meet with other Christians to pray together, and then to go with the gospel. Go tell the truth to people who need the Lord. It's God's way of reaching people forever. Do you know Jesus Christ personally? Have you admitted that you have sinned? Have you believed on Christ? Have you confessed Him publicly? Have you turned to Him from your sins? Then will you tell other people how they, too, can have this accomplished in their hearts, their lives, and their circumstances? Go, reading, heating the Word of God, praying diligently together with other believers, and then tell people to put their faith in the Lord Jesus. Someone is waiting for you to go. Will you? A woman was following Jesus and His disciples were perturbed because she was so persistent. She said her daughter had a big problem, and the disciples said, "Send her away." Jesus said, "I have come to save lost sheep." God wants you and me to know Jesus has tremendous compassion. So listen to Matthew 1528, New King James Version. Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith. Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. You see, God is able, and Jesus is available, but we have to go to Him. So put your face implicitly in the Lord Jesus Christ, and then do what the Bible tells you to do. Trust Him with all of your heart. And when you have done that, get a compassion for people who need the Lord, and then go with the gospel, praying with other believers, putting your faith into action by telling people that if they too will turn to Jesus from their sins, they will receive the gift of God, eternal life. Who will you tell today so that they can go to heaven? Tell someone now, again someone's waiting. Will you be the one to let them know? Jesus loves them? Jesus' disciples tried to cast out a demon, and it didn't work. But the person came to Jesus, and he cast the demon away. The disciples said, "Why couldn't we do it?" So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief, for assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 1720, New King James Version. Do you have any mountains that you are facing? Do you have any circumstances that are beyond your ability to do anything about? Do you have the faith to believe that God can move those mountains, can change those circumstances? He can, if you will trust him. Put your faith in him completely with no reservations. Reach out with compassion to those people who need the Lord. Christ came to save sinners. He wants us to do the work of an evangelist to share the good news of the gospel. Will you do it? Will you go to someone today, praying, believing the Word of God, helping others to know backing you they can share? A military officer had a servant who was suffering. He came to Jesus and asked him to speak a word so that his servant might be healed. Jesus said, "I will come and heal him." The officer said, "Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof, but only speak a word and my servant will be healed." When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to those who followed, "Assuredly I say to you, I have not found such great faith not even in Israel." Matthew 8, 7-10, New King James Version. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. The very first time the word "faith" is mentioned in the entire Bible is from Habakkuk, chapter 2. Listen to several verses, God speaking. I will stand my watch and set myself on the Ram part and will watch to see what He will say to me and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain on tablets that He may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak and it will not lie. Though it terries, wait for it because it will surely come, it will not terry. Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him, but the just shall live by his faith. The faith factor is one of the important parts of Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries and the Partners in Youth Evangelism, local churches across the tri-state and far beyond. God has given us a wonderful, wonderful vision, a great vision. Every youth to hear the Gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ before turning 20. In the eleven counties where we took fair share and are endeavoring to return this fall are 42,000 10 to 19 year olds. Every ten dollars can get the Gospel to one more youth. Every day and average of 25,000 vehicles pass Triple T. And 3,000 students and faculty go to and from the New North High School in junior high, just one mile north of Triple T. Please pray for one million dimes for digital to provide a large digital sign along Highway 41 and audio, video and computer upgrades. Please pray for Tiger teammates to invest time, talent and treasure to help many of these youth receive God's good news. We're excited about what's happening at Triple T. We want to share some things with you. As school begins, putting boots on the ground, walking in the Spirit, walking in love, walking by faith is the thrust. Saturday, August 18, we walked along the path to the chapel in the woods to the cross where we shared Galatians 5, 16 through 18. On August 25, everyone walked to the fair tent at the entrance to Triple T property just off Highway 41 at Buhlmana Harmony Road where we shared Ephesians 5, 2. The theme tonight, September 1, is to be for we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5, 7. Tonight will include free cheeseburgers, an instrumental ensemble from Gibson's Southern High School, and a walk around the flagpoles to prepare for See You at the Pole, planning to pray at schools everywhere Wednesday, September 26. Tiger team training is scheduled for Saturday, September 22, from 11.30 a.m. through the rally with free pizza for everyone after the rally. A team of 34, Triple T and Teen Missions people, went to 12 counties during the 5 weeks of fair share, 11 tri-state county fairs and street festivals, and here at Triple T, 3 Saturday nights, 3 local churches, and thousands received cups of cold water and God's ABCs. Team members shared the Gospel one-on-one with 1,728 individuals and 170 responded personally to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, all glory goes to God. Please pray as we endeavor to go back to each of these counties between September 12 and 23. We'll present the possibilities for Tiger team impact evangelistic youth efforts to be back there in those counties, November 1 through December 7. The New Life Drama Company, America's leading skit drama ministry, will be with us, September 12 through 23. The Triple T team and the New Life Drama Company will be at a different local church facility each evening at Triple T Saturday, September 15 and 22 at a two local church morning services, September 16 and 23. Please pray for doors to open to host Triple T New Life Drama Company at the right place at the right time. We are delighted to go to Mount Carmel on the 20th of September at the First General Baptist Church Family Life Center, where we will have the New Life Drama Company and we will have the Triple T team there and it's going to be a great, great happening. And we'll be presenting that night introducing the whole idea of the Tiger team impact evangelistic youth efforts coming later on in November and December. Again, the plan is returned to each county within 7 to 12 weeks with local churches partnering youth evangelism for a Tiger team impact evangelistic youth effort. Please pray for God's guidance. It's exciting to see the Lord work to lay on the hearts of people the whole idea of evangelizing youth. The key is to keep evangelizing youth and that's the way any entity is going to grow on a local church basis and on and on. Meanwhile, we're also preparing for the Evansville Westside Nut Club Fall Festival, October 1 through 5. Pray please for adequate, capable, willing volunteers, including trained Tigers to share. God's working wonderfully and we're excited. And so because of what he has done and is doing, we're going to continue to reach out. Next Thursday, September 6 at 2 p.m. The Triple T staff will be at the Vineyard Christian Bookstore, 5721 East Virginia Street in Evansville. Pastors and youth workers are invited to come and receive a free key action packet. Again, key means keep evangelizing youth in a paperback New King James Bible with Triple T special cover. Time after time in the last few weeks, God has put Tammy, Mary, and me at the right place at the right time, not always together, but scattered miles apart, sometimes hundreds of miles apart. But we have been thrilled as we have watched God open doors, not just for today, but for many tomorrow's. Romans 8, 28 is being personified consistently, and we know that all things work together for good. To those who love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. When we walk in the Spirit, in love and by faith, God abundantly guides and directs and blesses. We're grateful for all those willing to pray and be involved. Pray for all the Triple T team, full-time, part-time volunteers, adults, preteens, teenagers. We're very thankful for any of you who are listening, who pray and support Triple T. And we'd like to pray for you. So please let us know how we can pray for you intelligently. Tell us what need you are facing. Tell us what's going on where you are, where you live. I want to share with you something from God's Word that is very, very special. Colossians 1, 9 through 12, do King James. Listen. For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might according to His glorious power for all patience and long-suffering joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Again, that's Colossians 1, 9 through 12, do King James. God's Word is quick and powerful and sharpened into a sword. From the Word of God we can learn how to pray. We can learn how to reach out to others and we can pray around the world. We don't have to be there to send our prayers heavenward to touch the lives of people wherever they might be. Each day it's my privilege to pray for people on almost every continent, people that we know, people with whom we have worked, people who are serving the Lord, especially those involved with Teen Missions International. We are thrilled about what God is doing all across Africa. We're delighted at what He's doing in the very special places there and we're thrilled about what we have the opportunity of doing, of providing Sunday schools. Eleven of them now across Africa through the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission. When you come to Triple T, you'll see one of those motorcycles on our stage and learn how all of this fits together and what our part is all across Sub-Saharan Africa. We pray for the people that are serving the Lord there and in Europe and in South America and in Asia and on. God's working and we're thrilled to be able to talk with Him and to make our requests known to Him in every possible way. I hope that you will stay tuned because we have some very important things to share with you in the next few moments. So don't go away. God moves on the hearts of people and then He gives them guidance to think right and to do right. One of the people that God really helped change the world dramatically was Johannes Gutenberg. He invented metal movable type. The first book printed using his invention was the Gutenberg Bible printed August 24, 1455. That was 557 years ago last week. Bibles then could be mass produced instead of copied by hand. Pain stakingly up until the movable type invention when a book was printed every page had to be hand-carved and then put on a press and then printed. But Gutenberg said all of these letters are the same. Why not fix them so that they can be interchanged, removed and put back together again, and so metal movable type became available. And the Bible was printed. Gutenberg wrote, "God suffers in the multitude of souls whom His word cannot reach." Matthew 936 says, "But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd." Gutenberg says, "Religious truth is imprisoned in a small number of manuscript books which can find instead of spread the public treasure. Let us break the seal which seals up holy things and give wings to truth in order that she may win every soul that comes into the world by her word, no longer written at great expense by hand but multiplied, like the wind by an untiring machine. Yes, it is a press certainly, but a press from which shall flow in inexhaustible streams the most abundant and most marvelous drink that has ever flowed to relieve the thirst of men." Wow, that's what happened. And because of Johann Gutenberg, each of us now has as many Bibles as we need, as many books as we can afford. John 4, 10 through 13 says, "He left Judea and departed again to Galilee, but he needed to go through Samaria." So he came to a city of Samaria, which is called Saikar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from his journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink." For his disciples had gone awry into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to him, "How is it that you, being a Jew, ask a drink from me a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, give me a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do you get that living water?" Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock? Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst, but the water that I shall give him will become in him is a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." John Gutenberg said through it, "God will spread his word, a spring of pure truth shall flow from it. Like a new star, it shall scatter the darkness of ignorance and cause a light that to this point has been unknown to shine among men." Matthew 516 says, "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven." That's why we need you to be a partner with Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. We invite you to be a tiger teammate, to pray diligently, daily, and then to invest a minimum of twenty dollars to be a tiger teammate encourager.
