Telling The TRUTH
081812 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The flood had happened, mankind, except for one family had been wiped out. Then God spoke to Noah, saying, "Go out of the ark, you and your wife, "and your sons and your son's wives with you. "Genesis 8, 15, 16, New King James Version." What we need to understand here is that there were no teenagers left unless Noah's family were teens. If his sons were still teenagers, if their wives were teenagers, maybe. If not, we have a whole new scenario that's going to happen. Youth are going to be made accountable to God for their actions, for their beliefs, for their commitments. Let's pray for youth today. Let's understand that everybody everywhere either has been, is now, or will be a teenager. Let's pray that God's word will reach out to people who need the Lord in their youth. Would you be a prayer partner? Praying for the youth of our generation to come to know Jesus Christ personally? Will you reach out and pray? Will you go with the gospel? Send for your copies of New King James Bible. In it has God's ABCs, and we'll tuck along with it. Some copies for you to give to the youth that you know. So, all you have to do is listen to the end of the broadcast, and then call us or write us, and we'll get your Bible and ABCs to you. God had given the order, and Noah had obeyed. A male and female of every specimen of living creatures was put on the ark and saved. Genesis 817, New King James Version, lets us know what God said next to Noah. Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you. Birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth. The multiplication factor is what God has ordained to happen. So, let's understand that we are to multiply Christians. How do we do this? First of all, by making certain that we, you and I, have believed on the Lord Jesus, turning to him from our sins, and have told people about him who need to know. To know our right is life eternal. Then we need to reach out to as many people as we can, as quickly as we can, especially youth. Youth are in a pivotal position to make a determination for the rest of their lives. They can be reached if you and I will reach them. First pray, read God's word, fellowship with other believers, and then go with the gospel to youth today. Will you? God spoke to Noah. He warned him, he instructed him. Noah listened, obeyed, and acted, and the rest is history. The floods came, people were wiped out, things were wiped out, but creatures and Noah's family were saved. Listen to Genesis 818, New King James. So Noah went out and his sons and his wife and his sons wives with him. There you have it. The earth is about to be replenished people wise, because of Noah and his family. Babies are going to be born. They're going to grow. They're going to become teenagers. They're going to make decisions, determinations, and the youth of the world will increase over and over again, year after year, decade after decade, century after century, because of Noah's obedience to God. But today we have a dilemma. We have youth in our world who have never heard who Jesus Christ really is. We need to tell them to admit that they have sinned, to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly, to share their faith with their family, with their friends, with their world. Will you pray? Will you fellowship with other believers? Will you go with the gospel? Read God's Word and do what it says. Genesis 819, New King James Version. Every beast, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark. Noah obeyed God. He protected those creatures, and then they were released to replenish the earth. Noah's family had already gone out. They were ready to receive those creatures that needed care. God wants us to know that there are creatures needing our care. Oh, not necessarily from the animal world, but especially young people. Who do you know who does not know Christ, or who is not living for the Lord, who is between the ages of 10 and 19? There are 41 million of that age group in the United States of America today. Many of them have never heard the gospel. Many of them will not be saved unless somebody tells them how. It's up to you and to me to take the gospel to the teenagers of our day. Who will you tell about Jesus today? Will you pray for them? Will you read God's Word? Will you fellowship with other believers? Together, praying to reach them, and then going with the gospel? We want to send you a copy of the New King James Bible, and with it, copies of God's ABCs so that you can give them to youth who need to know the Lord. Write us or call us. Listen to Genesis 820, New King James Version. Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. Have you built an altar? Are you worshiping God? Are you praying diligently? Are you reading God's Word consistently? Are you reaching out to people compassionately who need to know Jesus? What about youth? What about kids? What about that age group between 10 and 19 who live where you live in your community, in your neighborhood? Whom you know? Do they know Jesus? Have you told them about the Lord? Will you? We have something we would like to share with you. It's free. It's called God's ABCs. We would like to send also a copy of the New King James Bible with the ABCs on the inside flap. We will also send you several of the ABCs that you can give to youth, one by one. It becomes your opportunity to share God's Word and His way to heaven with those you know. Pray for them. Read God's Word diligently, effectively, consistently. Pray with other Christians and then tell somebody about Jesus. You can. Is God concerned about the youth of our world? Listen to Genesis 821, New King James. And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma, then the Lord said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake. Although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth, nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done." Noah built an altar and God was pleased in what he did. He is concerned. Listen again to this. "Although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth." Yes, God is concerned about the youth of our world. He is concerned because evil happens in the heart of young people. We need to use everything we can to share God's glorious gospel with them. We need you to be a teammate with us. We want to send you a copy of the New King James Bible with the plan of salvation, and we want to send with that copies of God's ABCs. Write to us. The address will be given at the end of the broadcast. Be praying, be reading God's Word, and making a list of the youth that you can reach for God's glory with the gospel. Who do you know? Are you going to pray with others? Are you going to pray together? Are you going to claim those kids for Christ? God's promise with his greatest longevity attached is Genesis 822, the King James Version. Listen, "While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night, shall not cease." That means that as long as we are here on planet earth, there will be seed time and harvest. The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labors are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth labors into his harvest to reach people for Jesus, especially youth. We will be a prayer partner with us. We will be a sharing partner to take the gospel to someone who needs the Lord. 41 million 10 to 19 year olds live in the USA. Some of them live near you. Some of them you know. We want to send you a copy of the New King James Bible, and God's plan of salvation is on the inside flap. We want to send you also copies of God's ABCs to give to as many people, especially youth as you possibly can. So if you will write to us or call us, we will send these to you. Pray. Read God's Word. Make a list of those people you are going to present God's ABCs to and help them know Jesus. Will you? Every Saturday at 7.27 PM you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. 28 years ago, can't seem that long at all. August 11, 1984, by an 88-11 Senate vote and a 337-77 House vote, Congress passed the Equal Access Act, stating. It shall be unlawful for any public secondary school which receives federal financial assistance and which has a limited open forum to deny equal access or a fair opportunity to or discriminate against any students who wish to conduct a meeting within the limited open forum on the basis of the religious, political, philosophical or other content of the speech at such a meeting. Well, that happened and a teenager went to her principal out in Omaha, Nebraska and she said I want to have a Bible club now that the Congress has passed this law and he said I'm not going to let you. And she said, but Congress has said we can, he said, but I said you can't. She said what do I have to do? He said sue me. So she talked with her parents and her pastor and they prayed and she decided to sue the principal and the case went on and on and on, upward and upward and upward until the Supreme Court upheld the Equal Access Act by a vote of eight to one in Westside Community Schools versus Murgans, the young lady who had the courage to say I'm going to get a Bible club going on this campus. Now she would already graduated by the time this happened. It was June 4, 1990. I heard about it that day. In fact, back in 1984, I was contacted by the media and was asked my opinion and told them that I hoped and prayed and trusted that Congress would decide. After the decision was made, I was asked again and I said I'm so delighted that Congress has decided and then came the Murgans case and on June 5, 1990, Bob Bland, who was the founded director of Teen Missions International, had already invited me to come to Teen Missions to speak to the teenagers that summer, but he said, George, have you heard the news and I said, yes, I have Bob. He said, then can you possibly come a little early? Can you be here on July 4 and celebrate this victory and challenge every teenager at Teen Missions, go into the mission field this summer to come back and get a Bible club on their campus going and growing and I said, I'll be delighted. And so it was my privilege on July 4, 1990 to announce this happening. Here was the rule by the Supreme Court. If a state refused to let religious groups use facilities open to others, then it would demonstrate not neutrality but hostility toward religion. The establishment cause does not license government to treat religion and those who teach or practice it as subversive of Christian and American ideals. Well, the rest is history, it's been going and going and going for a long, long time and then something else very interesting happened. Down in Texas, some junior high kids were going to go to high school for the first time and they said, what are we going to do? And they said, let's go to the flagpole at our school and pray and ask for God to give us the courage to go forward. Well that little meeting spread as far as knowledge of it was concerned and before long the people across Texas and Oklahoma held a rally and there were thousands of teenagers at the rally and they said, when school starts this fall, let's go to the flagpoles of our schools and let's pray and let's claim our campus for Christ and it's been happening and happening and happening. Now we're getting ready for this year because everything that we're doing between now and the last Wednesday of September will point to the poll. See what the poll is the name of the whole idea, September 26, 2012, it will happen. Here at Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, we are launching an outreach that we call Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth Efforts, hopefully in every one of the 11 counties where we took fair share this summer. Our target is Mount Carmel, Illinois, Wabash County. And here is our scriptural background for what we're intending to do. This is the "See You at the Poll" scriptural theme under the word "awaken" this year. Listen, this is Ephesians chapter 3 verses 14 through the end of the chapter. For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him being glory in the church by Christ Jesus, to all generations, forever and ever, amen. And so it's been happening, 1984, 1990, this year, next month, "See You at the Poll." I hope that you will understand the privilege we have as being citizens of the United States to take a stand for good and for right and for righteousness. I have a friend whose name is Greg Steer. He has a ministry, and it's a wonderful outreach for God's glory. He has meetings in big places, in cities across the country, and He has written five reasons to share your faith today. And if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus, listen carefully. If you're not, all you have to do is admit that you have sinned. Turn to Jesus from your sins. Believe on the Lord Jesus until other people that you believe. Listen. The gospel is the best news ever. Psalm 96, 2, "Sing to the Lord, bless His name, proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day." Romans 10, 13 through 15, "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things." Second, it's what Jesus tells us to do. Mark 16, 15, "And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.' Third, sharing your faith is a privilege. He could have written the gospel in the skies, unleashed the angels to declare it. But instead, He entrusted it to us. That's Thessalonians 2, 4, "But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak not pleasing men, but pleasing God who tests our hearts." Number 4, "It's the ultimate way that you can love your neighbor. Friends don't let friends die without Christ." Matthew 9, 36 through 38, "But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said in His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few, therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" Fifth, "It saves people from hell." John 3, 16 through 18, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, but who believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but who does not believe is condemned already, because He is not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." One of the great privileges that we have had is sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ across 11 different Christate counties. It's been a great, great happening as we've gone out with our tents and free ice water and surveyed people, and here's a report on what God has done. We personally surveyed 1,728 individuals, nearly 10% of them prayed with a leader or a teenager, and opened their heart to Jesus Christ and decided to believe on Him. We had the privilege of sharing the gospel with thousands of people, and we had the opportunity of giving God's plan of salvation to hundreds and hundreds and probably thousands of those who stay tuned and will tell you more. This is what we have given to thousands of people this summer during the past five or six weeks. God's ABCs admit you've sinned for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God has eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Believe on Christ, for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Confess Christ publicly, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With a heart when believes under righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. On our tents at the fairs and the street festivals was a banner that said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ," telling the truth to through teenagers. It's been our privilege to go to county after county, and our target is to get the gospel to every one of the 10 to 19 year olds who live in place after place. Wabash County, Illinois has 1,582, Edwards County, 890, Richland County, 2033, Lawrence County, 1,911, Clay County, 1,779. We're in Knox County or up in Knox County, Indiana, 5,786, Little Pike County, 1,646, Posey County, 3,711, Warwick County, 8,651. Over in Kentucky, Davies County, 12,824, down in McLean, 1,267, and so we have targeted these teenagers, these youth, 10 to 19 year olds, in these counties to get the gospel to them taking one step at a time, one place at a time, one event at a time, between September 1 and November 1, we're going to go with the gospel as God opens doors and puts together the tiger teammates to make all of this happen. Why are we so excited about this? Because we are facing a foe. Back in 1963, on January 10, 1963, Congressman Albert Hurlong Jr. of Florida read into the Congressional record a list of communist goals for America, which included eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that violates the principle of separation of church and state, which of course is a misnomer. Discredit American culture. Discredit to family is an institution. Encourage promiscuity and divorce. Dehomosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as normal, natural, healthy. Infiltrate churches and replace revealed religion with social religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a religious crutch. Control schools. Use them for transmission belts, for socialism, and current communist propaganda. Soften curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put party line in textbooks. Control student newspapers. Is that happening? Yes. Has it happened already to two great of a degree? Yes. What can we do about it? We can go with the gospel where we need to go. The door is wide open. No one can stop a teenager from putting a Bible on top of his or her books and carrying it to class. We are challenging teenagers all across the tri-state to do precisely that. And where there is no limitation of clothing, we advocate every Wednesday to be witness Wednesday and for teenagers who are believers in Christ to wear a Christian t-shirt. Now if the rules are such that clothing cannot be worn with a slogan on it, we understand that. But we can take the Bible. We can put it on our books, we can share our faith in the halls, up and down the corridors, in and out of the classrooms, as long as we don't disrupt anything, as long as we are kind and consider it, and forthright with the gospel. Our whole goal here is to win teenagers to Christ, train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities, and in their world where God leads them in their future. That's why we had the privilege of getting the gospel out to thousands of people and we want you. To have a copy of the New King James Bible, we want to send you copies of God's ABC so that you can distribute them to everybody that you know. It's free. All you have to do to get yours is to call.
