[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe when the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you a believer? Are you sharing your faith in Christ? Listen to 1 Peter 325, New King James Version. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. There you have it. God gives us the privilege of representing Him. The Lord God in your hearts needs to be sanctified, set apart from everything else that is affecting you and influencing you. And always, always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason you have to the hope that you do, hope for eternity. Jesus died for our sins. He was buried. He rose again and now He lives in the hearts of everyone who has trusted Him. At the right hand of God the Father, He intercedes when we pray. So pray consistently. Read God's Word. Share your faith with those who don't know the Lord. And constantly fellowship with those who are believers, working out the way to get the gospel to the most possible people in the shortest possible time. Always give an account of who you are and why you do what you do. Recently making news was a person who was an agnostic, making fun and making light of Christians, especially Christian institutions. Listen to 1 Peter 3.16, New King James Version. Having a good conscience that when they defame you as evil doers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. The only way that we can win is to pray for those who are not yet believers and to pray that they will understand how much God loves them in spite of their evil doing. God has a plan for you to represent Him to people who need to know Him. Are you doing it? Are there those out there for whom you are concerned? Will you go with the gospel to them? Will you pray with other believers? Will you read the Word of God and learn from it? Abide in it and pray and pray and pray some more asking God to make you usable and use you to make an impact on those people who need to know that Jesus Christ is greater than He that is in the world. And He is in you if you know Him. Do you? Have you admitted you have sinned? Have you believed on the Lord Jesus? Have you told other people that you believe? I hope that you will take this gospel to people today. For it is better if it is the will of God to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 1 Peter 3 17, looking James. Suffering is going to happen to people in all kinds of circumstances. There's going to be emotion, anguish and suffering. There could be physical suffering, sickness or an accident or and you know it could be anything. So if you are suffering because you are doing good, stand up for Jesus. For to suffer for doing good is far better if it is in the will of God than to suffer for doing evil. And there are those who are suffering for doing evil. So make sure you are in tune with the Lord. Make sure you are reading the Word of God. Make sure you are consistently praying and asking God to give you guidance, direction and delay on your heart the people who need the Lord and to have fellowship with other people. Others who are Christians. And when you pray together, believe that God is going to hear and answer your prayers and give you the opportunities to take the gospel to folk you know who don't know Jesus. Who do you know? Would you go today? Can you comprehend that Jesus never sinned, but He became sin for us, for you and for me who are sinners? 1 Peter 3, 18, New King James says, for Christ who suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit. That's who Jesus is. That's why He did what He did for you, for me, for others who need Him to be their forgiver and their giver of eternal life. Will you pray? Will you thank God for what He has done for you in allowing Jesus to die for your sins, for my sins, for the sins of everybody who will trust Him? And then when you share that story, that wonderful, true story of the death, burial, the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Get a Christian to pray with you and to go with you, to take the gospel to people who need Jesus to forgive their sins and to give them eternal life. Are you praying with a partner who believes that God does here in answer prayer? Are you going together with the gospel with the someone who needs to know Jesus? The Bible is totally true, Old Testament and New Testament. Some people doubt some of the stories, but they really happened and for a purpose. Men have been sinning since Adam and Eve messed up in the garden. Listen to 1 Peter 3-20, New King James Version. Who formerly were disobedient, when once the long suffering of God weighed in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared in which a few that is eight souls were saved through water. Yes, people mocked God. They went ahead with their sinning, not believing, not responding, and they perished. But eight were saved because they believed. God used Noah to do something so special to give everyone a second opportunity, another chance for redemption, for righteousness, for salvation, and now we are here to tell the truth to people who need to hear the truth, who need to respond to the truth. So read God's word, pray, go with the gospel. Someone is waiting, someone needs you, someone wants your prayers, needs your prayers. So will you pray and then tell the truth? Who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers, having been made subject to him. 1 Peter 3-22, New King James. That lets you know who Jesus is and what has happened to him. Today, at this very moment when you pray, if you are indeed a believer in Christ, he, Jesus, intercedes for you, and he takes your prayers directly to the Father as a believer if you pray in faith and in Jesus' name. Don't get in the habit by the way of praying, thy name, thy wonderful name, thy son's name, but pray in Jesus' name. Jesus said, if anyone calls on the Father and names my name, praise in my name, I will hear them, I will answer their prayers. So make certain that you are doing biblically and praying rightly. Talk to the Lord, pour out your heart to him, thank him, thank him for everything he has done for you, and then with deep concern, pray for those who need to know him. Pray for other believers, thank God for those others who have trusted Christ and then heeding the word of God, go, telling the truth to people who need to know Jesus. Are you cognizant of the fact that Jesus suffered and bled and died for your sins, for my sins? Have you understood that suffering? Maybe you have gone through excruciating pain, through difficult moments, but nothing like what Jesus did for you. Listen to 1 Peter 4-1, New King James Version. Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. Sin is running rampant in the world. It's a devastating time to be alive on planet earth, but it's also a wonderful time and a privileged time to share the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. There are people who you know who need to know Christ Jesus intimately, individually. Will you tell them how they can get to heaven, to admit they have sinned, to believe in the Lord Jesus, to confess him publicly? Read from the word of God. Share the word of God, pray diligently, and then go. Go with other believers to those who have not yet believed. And if you have to go alone, get some prayer partners backing you up as you go. Whatever methodology you use, take the gospel to someone today and every day. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. (upbeat music) Hopefully you're having a really good day so far. I know it's early, but listen carefully to the vision that God has given us for Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. I hope it can be your vision too if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Listen, Triple T's vision, every youth to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ before his or her 20th birthday. There you have it. And when people do believe on Christ and let us know it, we send them something special. It's called Life at its Very Best by Dave Breeze. I wanna share with you information from this booklet, and I want to also offer you a free copy of the booklet, Life at its Very Best. On the cover is a picture of a hot air balloon in full color. I've never been up in a hot air balloon. I've always wanted to, and I had a friend who had one, and just before I got to ride and he invited me to do that, he sold the balloon and it was no longer his to offer me a ride. But I've had the privilege of flying. First, I learned to fly as a teenager, and then I have flown with other pilots. Then I have been a passenger on jet liners. What a wonderful world we live in. And I'm gonna share the promise from Dave's book Life at its very best, and again, if you'll stay tuned, we'll tell you how you can get your very own, absolutely free. Life can be wonderful. Just days ago, this thought ran through my mind when I was looking out the window of a jet from an altitude of 49,500 feet. This beautiful aircraft had stopped to pick me up at an airport. We were now in our way to a conference in the east. As I looked from the height of nearly 10 miles and saw city after city pass beneath on the green carpet of earth, I found myself musing about the days in which we live. What a remarkable hour in which to be alive, I told myself. One amazing world has come to pass, which brings near infinite opportunity to the youth of my generation. Wouldn't it be marvelous, I said, if millions of the world's young people could be equal to this great occasion and other occasions, which are before us now? Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone I know could indeed discover life at its very best? How exciting to remember that level of life is available to each one of us, simply for the asking. Yes, life can be the thrilling story of great purposes realized where the goals achieved, growth accomplished, and really important things brought to pass. Life is already filled with opportunity, which can turn into realization and accomplishment for every person who lives, difficult as it may be to believe that includes you and that includes me. There are once two brothers, Sean and Tim. They were in fact twins. They had the same parents, the same environment, the same opportunities. They went to the same schools and have many of the same friends. All who knew them agreed that they could have been equally successful. One, however, became a great public servant. The other became a criminal. What made the difference? There is no person, young or old, who needs to be defeated by the circumstances of life in this world. No, indeed, for it is possible for every person who ever may be his circumstance, whatever they might be, to acquire the courage and appropriate the strength to be master of the pressures and the problems which may come upon any one of us. The mastery of life and the joy of living in the midst of accomplishment is a condition which can be realized by each one of us no matter who we are. That believe it is a promise. It is a promise which has made for us, first of all, by nature itself. A tree that puts forth its buds in the spring, which are succeeded by green leaves in April and May, is proof that the stark branches of winter await renewal by God himself. Renewal of colorful beauty, after the charcoal tones of winter, is one of the great testimonies affirming the life and fulfillment which nature has for us. The sun rising anew in the morning, and thereby the spelling to darkness which pressed upon the world through the night brings to us the same wonderful account of life itself. In each successive gold and purple sunrise, God paints a new picture for our delight which no artist could possibly duplicate. The moon says amen to this, adding to rare beauty, its testimony of nature, when it projects its swath of liquid silver across the lake at midnight. Ah, who of us can ever forget? The stars add their voices, and even as twinkling points of light in the sky, they astonish us. If a starlet evening happened only once in 100 years, every person alive would pray that that spectacular event would happen in his or her lifetime. Napoleon Bonabart was walking the deck of one of his warships while sailing the Mediterranean on a clear sparkling night. He overheard two sailors talking and discussing whether there was a God, and then after some discussion agreed that there was no God. Napoleon at this point stepped up. Upon recognizing their superior, they snapped to attention. He said to them while pointing to the stars, gentlemen, "If you would prove that there is no God, you must get rid of these first." Debris continues in this very, very special little booklet, "Life at Its Very Best," that I want you to have a personal copy of your own to read at your convenience and to share with others. And he talks now about the sublime truth. Best of all, the promise that life can be wonderful comes to us from God himself. Yes, behind the universe, the author of our being is the eternal God. In the final analysis, he alone can give the complete answer to the question, "What is man?" While the encouraging message concerning ourselves comes to us from nature, while institutions concerning our destiny grow like a fountain from the soul, it is God our Creator who gives us the ultimate truth about who you are and who I am. In the Bible, the book which he has given to us, God has told us a most sublime truth about ourselves that should be to each of us a daily motivation to aspire, to yes, to live extraordinary lives. That sublime truth is presented to us in the Bible when it says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God, created he him, male and female, created he them." Genesis 1, 27. What an encouraging thing to know about ourselves. There is something wonderfully different about man which makes him distinct from the trees and the animals and even more marvelous by far than the sun and the stars. That something special about man comes from the fact that God, who made all of these other things, has told us that he has made us. That is human beings in every special fashion imaginable. That special fashion is that he has made us in his own image. Now because of this, God has told us that we are beings of very special destiny. We are creatures of eternal purpose. That eternal purpose is that we are made to live forever in heaven with God, something better than anything that the earth has to offer is to be ours forever. One of the best ways that any individual can spend a few hours of time is in reading the guidebook which alone tells us where we came from, who we are, and where we are going. Philosophers have attempted to probe these vital questions for all of time without ever agreeing on a final answer. Happily, God has told us in the Bible what the philosophers because of their attention to other things have never truly discovered the nature of man and his ultimate destiny. We may therefore rejoice because we have the promise of God himself that man is something very special, that he can know life and life at its very best. What a promise. The fulfillment of such a promise is worth pursuing. And here's where you start. God, I've sinned and I'm sorry. Please forgive me. During fair share, out across the tri-state, we give little pieces of paper and they have a copy of the billboard. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, telling the truth to teenagers in our website. And then admit you've sinned for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God as tucked on the inside. For the weight of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Believe on Christ, for God so loved the world that he gave his own begotten son that her believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Confess Christ publicly, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved with the heart when believes in the righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Those are God's ABCs. We want you to have a copy of those. We also want you to have this very special book, Life at its very best. So stay tuned and we'll tell you how yours can be in your hands very quickly. To receive your personal copy of Life at its very best, free, simply write to me, George Dooms, TTT Christian Youth Ministries, 13,000 US Highway 41 North, Evansville, Indiana, 47725. We want you to have your copy of Life at its very best, and this life can begin for you today. The promise that life can be wonderful also comes to us from another source, the soul of each of us. We dream of stars and star-like things, and we know that these dreams represent true possibilities. We sense in the deepest part of our being that we are not made simply to exist, to suffer, and then to die. Then the soul of man is a mysterious but towering certainty that he was made to live a life which is greater than this. He knows, even though at this moment he cannot prove it, that his life has within it something that is infinite, immortal, eternal. One person has insisted that there is a God-shaped vacuum within the life of each one of us, which can only be filled by the infinite God, who stands behind it all. Another suggests that each person who lives was born with an inconsolable longing for a land which is never seen. That is why, when we do something of which we are not proud, we feel a sense of shame. That comes because we know we are made for something better, something far more sublime than some cheap, chaudry little activity in which we may find ourselves at any given moment. So to get really life at his very best, not just the booklet, but that eternal life that God offers, admit you've sinned. Tell God you're sorry. Turn to him. Turn to Jesus. Ask for forgiveness. Christ died for our sins, yours and mine. He was buried and he rose again on the third day, and by trusting him, by believing him, by believing on him, you can receive his gift, the gift of God eternal life, through Christ Jesus our Lord. We want you to have that gift of eternal life. And again, if you'll get your pen and paper out right now, if you didn't have it a while ago, here's how to get life at its very best free. We want to send it to you. George Dooms, TTT Christian Youth Ministries, 13,000 US 41 North, Evansville, Indiana, 47725. That's 1 3 0 0 0, US Highway 41 North, Evansville, Indiana, 47725. Or you can even come by tonight and we'll give it to you personally. We'll meet you. We'll hand it to you. Maybe we already know each other. If so, great. We'll reconnect. If not, we'll connect for the first time. Every Saturday at 727, there's an event for teenagers here at Triple T. We're fulfilling the mission that God has given to us. To communicate Christianity to and through teenagers. To win them to Christ and train them for Christ. Teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches on their campuses, throughout their communities, and into their world wherever God leads them in their future. Every Saturday at 727, there has been a gathering of teenagers since way back in 1966 on the first Saturday of February. We've now been going for more than 2,400 consecutive Saturdays. And God willing, we'll be taking the gospel out to county fairs and to street festivals all across the tri-state in July and August. June is training time. And next Saturday, June the second, we'll begin our week of prayer. And we ask you wherever you are, whatever you're doing to pray for Triple T and fair share. And then if you can come next Saturday night, it's going to be hot dog at June with a wiener roast. We're going to have a great happening next Saturday and you're invited. Bring your friends, especially those between the 80s of 10 and 19. We're excited about what God has done and is doing. And again, we want you to have your copy, your personal copy, of life at its very best. It's free. So to get yours, write or call. The number to call. Area code 812-867-2418. That's 867-2418.
