Telling The TRUTH
042812 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible presents many insights into who Jesus really is. Listen to 1 Peter 2 verses 3 and 4, New King James. If indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious, coming to Him as a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious. That says a lot. It lets you know more about Jesus and perhaps you had anticipated learning in one small verse of Scripture or two. A living stone. Two words here are attributable to who Jesus is. Gracious and precious, chosen by God. You and I must know who Jesus is and respond to His love. God loves you, Jesus died for you, He rose again, and He wants you to live for Him. God gives us the opportunity of sharing the great news of who Jesus is and what He can do for anyone who will trust Him. So tell people, fellowship with other believers, read God's Word consistently. Pray, pray, pray, and then go. Be sure to send for your free copy of the New King James Bible. The phone number 812-867-2418. Know this. When you do what God says to do and you do it His way, reading His Word and praying, then wonderful things can happen. You also, as living stones are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2, 5, New King James Version. That's your lot in life as a believer in the Lord. Have you done it? Are you doing it? Being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood. That's awesome. But God wants that to be you and me in our service to Him. He wants us to offer spiritual sacrifices. There are some things that you can do with the 24 hours a day that God has entrusted to you. You can pray. You can read God's Word. You can fellowship with other believers and you can go with the gospel. Every day you have new opportunities and with them God given God-ordained responsibilities. So make sure that your sacrifices are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. How do we do this? We make sure that what we are doing is pleasing to the Lord. Are you really concerned about people who are not headed for heaven, who don't even know how to get there unless somebody like you and me tells them how? Will you be willing to do that? Will you learn God's Word? Romans 3.23, Romans 6.23, John 3.16, Romans 10, 9, and 10, and then share it with unbelievers so that they can believe? Listen to 1 Peter 2.6, New King James. Therefore, it is also contained in the Scripture. Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on him will by no means be put to shame. That's a promise from God to you. Are you willing to be that kind of a believer so that you can have the privilege of telling people about that chief cornerstone, the Lord Jesus Christ, elect, precious? I hope that you will understand the responsibility that comes with the opportunity. There are people who you know, people that you come in contact with on a daily basis perhaps, and certainly from time to time, who need to know that you care enough to share God's wonderful plan of salvation with them. Tell them who the chief cornerstone is and how they can by trusting him have life that lasts forever. Let them know what God's Word says. Memorize Scripture, fellowship with other believers, pray, read, and heed the Word of God, and then tell the truth to those who need to know. Do you have your New King James Bible yet? Have you written for yours? Or have you called us? We want to send one directly to you, so make sure that you request it now because in it you will have helps that will enable you to share. Listen to the contrast between believers and unbelievers. 1 Peter 2.7, New King James Version. Therefore to you who believe, he is precious. But to those who are disobedient, the stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. There you have it. Precious to you if you have believed on him, but to those who are disobedient, the stone rejected is now the chief cornerstone. And because of that position of the Lord Jesus Christ, we know that he is the only way, the only truth. And if we will tell the truth about him to people who need to know him, wonderful things can happen. Pray with others, others who believe, and then share with those who don't. Pray, read God's Word, and then tell someone who Jesus is and how they, by believing on him, can have life. Everlasting life, abundant life, help them know how to go to heaven. Tell them about the chief cornerstone. We have a free Bible for you, and if you haven't asked for yours yet, please call us 812-867-2418. It has God's ABCs on the inside front flap and on the inside back, God's top 10, the Ten Commandments, and wraps up with Romans 12, 1, and 2. Send for yours now, use it, share it. Jesus Christ, the chief cornerstone, is wonderful for the believers, but to the unbelievers, listen to 1 Peter 2-8, New King James. A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. They stumble being disobedient to the word to which they were also appointed. God's Word is quick and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword. Here it becomes a stumbling block because of unbelief and disobedience. God wants you and me to obey His Word, to abide by it, to incorporate it internally, and then to share God's wonderful message of redemption with people who are lost. Everybody is redeemed or condemned, saved or lost, believers or unbelievers. Which category is yours? What about your family, your friends? Do you have people for whom you are concerned? Are you praying with other believers for those folk? If you are indeed a believer yourself, are you reading the Word of God? Are you doing what the Word of God says to do? Jesus said go, pray, and then get with it today. We have a Bible to send to you, a New King James version, with a special cover that has God's ABCs. It's a wonderful tool that you can take to someone who has not yet a believer in Christ, who is having spiritual difficulties, and you can share the Word of God personally. Get together with other believers and together look at, listen to and respond to 1 Peter 2 9, New King James. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. It's a great thing to know, Jesus. The world is really dark, and yes, you are called from darkness to light. Take a look at God's Word, check out 2 Corinthians chapter 4. See the contrast between those in the dark and those in the light, and be a light to the people who are in the dark. Share Christ together with other believers, praying for those people who need the Lord, fellowshipping around the Word of God, and then taking the gospel to those who are in darkness. God can make you usable and use you today if you are willing to be in that position. Proclaim the praises of Him personally. We have a very special gift for you. It's a New King James Bible with a special cover. It has the plan of salvation, God's ABCs on the inside front, inside back, God's top 10. And it is a tool that you can use to share personally God's glorious gospel with someone who needs the Lord. Write for yours or call us today. Listen to this contrast between believers and unbelievers, saved and lost, redeemed and condemned. 1 Peter 2, 10, New King James Version says, "Who once were not a people but are now a people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy." What a wonderful thing it is to know that you have been redeemed when you have trusted Jesus Christ individually, when you have opened your heart to Him, when you have admitted you have sinned, when you have believed on Christ, when you have confessed Him publicly. God wants us to keep confessing Him, to keep telling others about Him, to have the fellowship factor in effect with other believers, and pray specifically and directly and deliberately for people who need the Lord or who are having spiritual difficulties. Read the Word of God together. Do what the Word of God says to do, and then take the message of salvation to people who need the Lord. Will you do that today? I hope this will be a wonderful weekend for you. I hope you will understand that God can make you usable and use you if you are willing. If you are willing for that to happen, it becomes your lot in life, your determination to decide to put Christ in first place. Will you? I hope you will. You can, you know. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Would you be watchful in all things? Indoor afflictions do the work of an evangelist fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4-5, New King James Version. An ongoing impact continues. Reflecting way back from 1931 to now, projecting to 2020 and beyond, together toward tomorrow. Multiply your ministry was launched the week of Triple T's 2,400 consecutive Saturday in January 28, 2012, in February 4, Triple T's 46th birthday. The multiply theme goes through December 28, 2013 to be the Lord willing, Triple T's 2,500th Saturday. During these 100 weeks, an objective is to partner with at least 100 local Bible-believing churches. Tiger Team Impact Peer Evangelism and Christian Leadership Training for 10 to 19-year-olds is being offered monthly. Adult youth worker key coach training and resources are available. Key means K-E-Y, Keep Evangelizing Youth. We're having Tiger Team Training and it's happening monthly as much as we possibly can and the next one will be coming up on May 19. And then immediately after that, we're having what we call the 2012 mini-camps, getting ready for fair share. 727pm Thursday through 9pm Saturday. May 31 through June 2nd, June 7 through 9, June 14 through 16. During all of this, we are reaching out to as many people as we possibly can with the gospel. May 5 will be grad night, that's next Saturday, with a gift for every eighth grade and high school graduate that comes to Triple T that evening. We're excited about what God is doing now and we have just put together three new teams for Mission Possible 2. It began on April the 14th and goes through July the 7th. The dream team is coached by Richard Comer, the heroic soldiers, coach Kim Foltz, the wake-up call, Shelley Bernard is the coach. Everyone aged 10 to 19 can earn Tiger Team Points and receive achievement awards. For 3,000 points, the Transformer Bible for young adults and the book Beginning Guide for Reading the Bible by Elmer Towns. Points are earned by attending Sunday School, 100 points every week if the teacher signs the checklist. Attending a Bible-believing church, 100 points every Sunday if the pastor verifies with a signature. Attending their church youth group, 100 points every week if the youth leader signs. Bringing a church bulletin of Triple T once a month, 50 points. Volunteering at their church are Triple T, 100 points per hour. Memorizing God's Word, 50 points for every verse memorized, 100 points if there is a whole chapter memorized with 10 or more verses. Attending Triple T Saturday nights, 100 points every week. If the youth leader attends, double points. Bonus 300 points for three Saturdays in a row. Bonus 100 points if the students are involved in any way in helping. And then we see what God does when they bring their Bibles, 50 points. If they bright a friend, first-timer, a teenager, one somebody between the ages of 10 and 19, 500 points the first time that person attends, 1,000 points the second time, 1,500 points the third time. They'll participate with fair share, 500 points every night that they're involved. Everything is moving toward fair share now. And we're thrilled about the opportunities that we have to go to so many fairs. And we need to pray with us that God will have the people at the right place at the right time. We're very excited about what is already happening and those that are asking for Tiger Team packets, Traveling Tigers will be going out with coaches and drivers to the fairs. Last summer, we were privileged to go to 10 different counties. This year, we would like to go to 20 if we have enough people that will invest their time, their talent, and their treasure. Pray about this a lot because there is an opportunity to really reach thousands and thousands of people. We give a cup of cold water in Jesus' name to the fairgoers. And in addition to that, we take a survey about teenagers. We give opportunities to listen to the way to Heaven. And then we present the Gospel and we give a Bible to 10 to 19-year-olds who come by our tents at the fairs. Last summer, we gave away hundreds of Bibles in this summer. We're hoping to give away thousands. Because if we are able to go with the teams to enough fairs, we'll be reaching out to thousands and thousands and thousands of fairgoers in all three states. We're excited about what is already on the agenda. We'll be having many camps that will be May 31, June 1 and 2, and then June 7, 8 and 9, and again June 14, 15 and 16. These are Traveling Tiger training camps for teenagers, preteens, and adult coaches. And then we're having water wars on July the 7th. And fair share begins July the 9th and goes through August the 11th. And during those five weeks, we'll be going to as many places as we can. And again, as team members, 10 to 19, adult drivers, leaders, and adequate transportation become available, the Gospel can be shared one-on-one with thousands of fairgoers up to 20 counties. We'll be joining God willing on July the 11th through the 29th by a Teen Missions International team with adults and kids coming from all across America. On July the 14th, Jesus Christ changed in a world summit. At that time, we're going to be presenting opportunities for a tremendous outreach this fall. And we're excited about that because it all kicks off September, about the 23rd, and it goes right up to the first Sunday of November. Our objective is to have as many people as possible between the ages of 10 and 19 attending Sunday school for eight weeks in a row, with a high day coming up on November the 4th. November the 4th is when the time changes again and it is the time when everybody can kind of relax and be on time to Sunday school. And it's the one time when we're going to try to have as many people as possible in their favorite local Bible-believing church and especially Sunday school on that particular day, but we're building up to it and then going beyond it. So pray with us and for us. I'd like for you to really prayerfully consider being a prayer partner with us and let us know that you're praying. We have a thing that we send out on the 7th and the 27th of every month. It lets you know what's happening, it's an email that we send free. And to get yours, simply contact us, either call us or write us or email us. Our email is George@ttchristianyouth.org. You can check more details on our website and that again is www.tttchristianyouth.org. You can be a tiger teammate. Every $20 that somebody gives, actually the first $20 anybody gives in a calendar year goes to provide a scholarship for someone between the ages of 10 and 19 to come to one of our very special training happenings. And then every $10 makes it possible for us to get the gospel to another person, including giving a Bible. And we want to give out lots and lots of Bibles. A tiger teammate gives at least $20. We have some that we call enlargers. The encouragers start with $20. Then the enlargers give an average of 20, 25 or more monthly. The expanders are willing to pray and give a monthly average of $100 or more. We need more tiger teammates, Christian adults willing to invest their time, their talent, their treasure. Our executive board has invited people to become tiger teammates with them. And we need to let you know that as you participate, wonderful things can happen. This is how you can multiply your ministry. Now Meihu supplies seed to the sower and bread for food. Supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanks giving through us to God. That's 2 Corinthians 9 verses 10 and 11, New King James. Stay tuned because we have other information just for you. Don't go away because you might learn something very special. Pray 300, think 300, invite 300, plan 300, expect 300, thank 300, follow up 300. That's the goal we have for the 100 weeks between January 28th this year and December 28th next year. We're hoping to be able to train at least 100 adults as coaches, hopefully 2 to 300, and a minimum of 300, 10 to 19 year olds in pure evangelism. You can have a part of all of this. We want you to know that we can multiply our ministries together. You can, I can, we can. Surely blessing God says I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you. That's Hebrews 614, New King James. The multiplication factor is the most essential part of communicating Christianity. Our ongoing impact happens because every Saturday night, youth evangelism events happen at 727 p.m. at triple T. Our campus is located 4 miles north of Evansville Regional Airport, 4 miles south of Interstate 64 on U.S. 41 at Booneville and Harmony Road. The 30-acre campus is the home of Tiger Team. Teams involved going evangelizing regularly. Leading youth conferences now called Tiger Team training happen all the time, at least once a month. Bible clubs on and off campus, student directed and organized, assisted by adult coaches. Project Proclaim, saturation evangelism, one-on-one sharing, Bible distribution, evangelistic youth events, public relations, outreach, internet, billboards, radio, TV, newspaper. We're privileged to be on this and 33 other stations. Jeremiah 33-3 says, "Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know." That's why we're praying 300. We're thinking 300. We're inviting 300. We're planning 300. We're expecting 300 and then we'll be thanking 300. 300 minimum, 10 to 19-year-olds and 300, I shouldn't say maximum because it could go over that, adult coaches. Because every coach then will train and work with probably 3 to 39 others. What a delight it is to serve the Lord in this capacity. We're getting ready for fair share. As I said a while ago, we're going to have many camps and they start May the 31st and go through June the 2nd, June the 1st week, then June 7, 8 and 9, June 14, 15 and 16, starting at 7.27 on Thursday and going through the rally the following Saturday. We have three A-frame dorms and they'll be the housing situation. We have our own kitchen, our dining room and the auditorium and classrooms and offices and of course 30 acres of wooded area and an outdoor chapel out in the middle of the acreage. And what a delight it's going to be to have this mini camp right here on our campus. We're looking forward. We've got people coming from all the Illinois, from Booneville, Indiana and we don't know where else but they're already signing up for the 31st of May through the 2nd of June. And you can get the word out and we have a special packet to send to you. It'll let you know about the sizzle and summer opportunities, especially these mini camps and then going to fair share out across the tri-state to fair after fair, sharing the gospel, giving away free ice water and having the opportunity of fulfilling the vision, putting it into effect. Every youth to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Pursuing Triple T's mission, to communicate Christianity to and through teenagers, to win them to Christ and train them far Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches on their campuses throughout their communities and into their world where God leans them in their future. Our biblical mandate, therefore since we have this ministry as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking and craftiness and are handing the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth. Committing ourselves to every man's conscience inside of God, but even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled or hidden to those that are perishing. We want you to have a part in all of this, we want you to come tonight if you possibly can to Triple T, call and we'll send you a Bible 812-867-2418. Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area.
