[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your Father, but with the precious blood of Christ as a lamb without blemish and without spot." 1 Peter 1, 18 and 19, the King James Version. It was our privilege to host a live reproduction of the Old Testament tabernacle. And during the tours of the tabernacle, we were able to talk about what happened then in the slaying of the lambs without spot and blemish and how Jesus, the Lamb of God, totally sinless, came to take away the sins of the world, yours and mine. What a wonderful thing it is to know that Christ, who was born of a virgin, lived perfectly, was tempted and never once yielded, and then following his three years of ministry, after the triumphant entry was taken by the mob, was scourged, beaten, a crown of thorns was put on his head, and then Christ died, died for our sins on the cross according to the Scriptures. He was buried and he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. Because Christ lives, we too can have life forever by believing on Him. Tell someone this wonderful story today. God's Word is quick, powerful, and very, very practical. Listen to James 513, New King James. Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing Psalms. Praying needs to happen all the time, especially when we're having difficulties. God will come to the rescue, ask Him and then thank Him and talk with Him about others who need the Lord. Sing, praise, and give opportunity to others to rejoice always. When you do this, wonderful things can happen in your heart and life and those of others. So keep reading the Word of God and keep fellowshipping with other believers and then take the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus and share it with those who need the Lord. People everywhere need the Lord and some of them are those whom you know. Hopefully, you are concerned about them, enough to take the gospel to them. Let them know that Jesus Christ did die for their sins, that He was buried, that He rose again and by trusting Him by believing on Him and turning to Him from their sins. They can have eternal life. Tell someone that wonderful story today. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 515b, New King James Version. Effective praying. Are you really concerned enough to determine in advance of your going before God's throne of grace to be effective in your asking and in your praising? Effectiveness means that you are really, really doing things decently and in order. Fervent prayer. Are you really concerned enough to basically beg God for the souls of people who are lost? Are you willing to be righteous, to be what God wants you to be, what He would have you to be? There is none righteous, no not one. All we like sheep have gone astray. The Lord has laid upon Him. That is Jesus, the iniquity, the sins, the shortcomings of us all. So if you will, put yourself at the feet of Jesus and let Him wash you wider than snow. Let His righteousness become yours. Let the blood of Jesus be applied to every part of your being and then go effectively, fervently, praying. Then much will be availed. God will hear and answer your prayer. Make sure you are telling Him your needs. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1, 3, New King James. Easter is because Christ lives. We have had a wonderful time of rejoicing over the fact that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. And now, let's honor God the Father for what He has done in providing for us abundant mercy. He has given us new life, eternal life, if we have trusted the Lord Jesus personally. Have you admitted that you have sinned? Have you turned to Jesus from your sins? Have you told other people that you believe that Jesus is who He says He is, that He has been raised from the dead, that He lives now at the right hand of God the Father and the Holy Spirit the Comforter indwells every believer? And are you talking with Him about those who need the Lord? Are you fellowshiping with other believers? Are you reaching out with strategic techniques to take the gospel to people? Are you reading the Word of God consistently? Are you praying for those who need the Lord? Ask God to make you usable and use you to make an impact on those people for whom you are concerned. 1 Peter 1, 7, New King James Version puts our faith into proper perspective when we really trust Jesus. Listen, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. That's wonderful, isn't it? The genuineness of your faith. Is your faith genuine? Is it real? Is it secure? If it is, it's more precious than gold. Gold will perish, it will tarnish. Tested by fire. We will go through some difficult times, some moments of truth. But then we can praise, honor and glory at the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Give Him the honor that He rightfully deserves and give all glory to God for what He has done, what He is doing, what He is going to do. Ask Him to make you usable and use you. Read His Word, heed His Word, pray consistently, fellowship with believers, and together go with the gospel to those folk who need the Lord. There is somebody waiting for you to tell them the truth. Will you? 1 Peter 1, 18, New King James says, "Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." The loins of your mind, strange terminology, but very real. So gird them up. Think right, and you will do right. And rest your hope fully upon the grace that is brought to you. Grace, God's unmerited favor. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to God's mercy He saves us. Have you put your faith so totally in Him that you know that nothing you can do or nothing that you can buy will get you a place in heaven? But only the gift of God, eternal life through Christ Jesus, is what is going to give you life that lasts forever. Take that story to someone who needs to know. Let them know that you are praying for them. Pray with others about them. Read the Word of God and then go and present the plan of salvation. Ask them to admit that they have sinned, to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly, and watch God work wonderfully, changing hearts and lives. You can do it. Holiness is a hard word to comprehend, but listen to what God says through His Word in 1 Peter 1 verses 15 and 16 New King James Version. But as He who called you is holy, so you also be holy in all your conduct because it is written, "Be holy for I am holy." Holiness is unto the Lord. You can't buy it. You can't earn it. You have to acquire it through a relationship with God through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the empowering and enabling of the Holy Spirit. "Be holy," He says, "for I am holy." When we sin, when we mess up, when we do things that are wrong, when we say things we shouldn't say, when we even think thoughts that we shouldn't think, when we don't do the things we need to do that we ought to do, those things keep us from being holy. It's called sin. Sin separates us from God. And what we need to do is to confess our sins because if we do, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It's at that moment of truth where we become a little bit holy. Not as holy as we need to be. We never will be that this side of eternity. But God loves us, and He sent Jesus to die for us so that when we trust Him, we can have a relationship with Him. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville, New Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. It was on an Easter Sunday. It was a beautiful day. And over 1,000 people met on our front lawn to start walking with Christian flags unfurled down US Highway 41 toward Robert Stadium. It was the Youth for Christ March. And the next day, across the front page of the Evansville Courier, was the picture of those kids with the flags unfurled and the caption read onward Christian soldiers. It was to kick off a crusade at Robert Stadium with football player Bill Glass, then playing for the Cleveland Browns. He had earlier played for the Detroit Lions and Bill was an evangelist and he came and shared his faith in Christ effectively night after night after night and many came to know the Lord during that full week crusade. One of them was a young man named Bob McConnell and Bob not only met Jesus, but he got involved immediately with Triple T and stayed involved until his untimely death right at the driveway at Triple T. A car hit him and Bob was killed. We'll always remember Bob McConnell because of his very, very diligent way of serving the Lord. He was a student at University of Evansville getting ready to transfer to Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. Now, remember just before he got killed him bounding down the stairs at Triple T before we even had our building. We were still having our offices in the basement of the house and he said, George, are we winning anybody to Jesus? Are kids getting saved? And I said, yes, Bob, some are, but not enough. He said, we've got to change that. And I was impressed with his compassion and his determination to communicate the gospel as effectively as possible. Athletes have been interesting in my life. I've met a few who are outstanding. And I've heard about others. Most everybody has heard about Tim Tebow. Football is his game, but Jesus is the name that he constantly, constantly honors and glorifies. And as he puts one knee down, he says he does it to humble himself before the Lord. There are others in other sports and you could name probably lots of them. One recent one that I just learned about his testimony is a guy named Bubba Watson, who last week in won the 2012 master's tournament at the Augusta National. And he did it in a very unusual way. With his ball in the Augusta National Woods on the second playoff hole, Christian golfer, Bubba Watson, came up with a shot of his life, a 155 yard pitching wedge that clinched the 2012 master's championship and his first major championship. There's something different about Bubba Watson and he doesn't care if you know it. The winner of the 2012 master's golf championship realizes he's not like most famous athletes. In fact, he welcomes it. People always ask, why is Bubba different? Said Watson during an interview. They're just trying to figure it out. Watson's identity is not wrapped up in his freakishly long drives from his lanky six foot three, 180 pound left handed swing. He leads the tour with a 315 yard average. Rather, take one look at his Twitter profile and you'll figure out what's different about Watson. Christian husband, Daddy, Progofer, owner of General Lee One. Pay close attention to the order. Again, Christian, husband, Daddy, Progofer, owner of General Lee One. For me, he says, it's just showing the light. There's people who want to put down Christians. I try to tell them Jesus loves you. And he's been criticized, has been put down, but he has also shared his faith in Christ on his Twitter account as an outreach with literally thousands of people. About a hundred of them said they don't want to follow them anymore, but he wished them well and said he'd be praying for them and their families. He is really a different person because he puts Jesus first as do so many others, but you don't have to be an athlete. Whatever you're doing in life, put Jesus Christ in first place and he will make you usable and use you to make an impact on your world. We're involved right now in moving forward from Hosanna highway. It was a magnificent time that we watch the Lord do wonderful things. Between Sunday, March 25 and Wednesday, April 4, 6 local churches hosted the Triple T team, Shelley Bernard, Mary, Tammy, myself and Lee and Arlene Homoke. At least 67 responded to the invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Hundreds of Bibles were given to 10 to 19 year olds. And many are reaching out to friends at their schools sharing the gospel and offering a Triple T New King James Bible one-on-one traveling hundreds of miles for Tiger Team impact evangelistic youth efforts in all three states has been demanding, but gratifying. All glory goes to God for what he is doing in the hearts and lives of so many youth. Please keep praying for these brand new Christians to grow in Christ and pray for the pastors and youth leaders who will follow up and disciple them. Doug Hamlin, Zion Baptist Church, Henderson, Kentucky, Bruce Applegate, Mount Pleasant Church of God, Evansville, Chris Creminger, Volonia, Indiana Christian Church, Zach Slater, Faith Bible Church, all Neil Anoy, Steve Forester, Scott Township, General Baptist, Evansville, and Terry Gamlin, Howl General Baptist, Evansville. And please be praying for the plans and preparations for fair share, July 9 through August 10. Traveling Tiger training mini camps are scheduled for three weekends, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 31 through June the 2nd, June 7 through 9, and June 14 through 16. A group of 17 to 20 leaders and preteens with Teen Missions International are to join the Traveling Tigers and Triple T staff July 11 through 28. July 14 will be Jesus Christ changed in the world's summit. Stay listening, by the way, to this broadcast week by week because we're going to tell you more details as the summit gets closer. Please pray for the logistics of people and places to take fair share to 15 to 20 different counties. All of this and more is part of multiply your ministry that began the week of Triple T's 2,400 consecutive Saturday to go for 100 weeks to the 2,500th Saturday, the Lord willing, December 28, 2013. The goal is to partner in youth evangelism with 100 local churches and we're on target so far, at least one church a week and we're above that now. We're very thankful for you who listen and all the people who invest time, talent and treasure to help keep evangelizing youth. Please pray that God will continue to supply every need. The midst of increasing costs of fuel and other expenses. It's necessary to keep up as we are having our vehicles crisscrossing the tri-state as we go on with the gospel. We stretch every dollar and carefully try to keep costs low, prefer more people to catch the vision. Here it is, every youth to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ before turning 20. It's thrilling every time another person responds. And as we continue to use every possible means and media, radio twice daily on 34 stations, billboards, at least five now displayed on US 41, print over 100,000 copies of a reproduction of the billboard with God's ABC's inside and 10,000 New King James Triple Team Bibles with custom covers, internet, website, podcast, evangelistic youth efforts and one-on-one sharing. So the world's greatest teenagers, preteens, adult coaches and staff are participating every week. You and other adult Tiger teammates can help make it all possible. You know how to be a teammate, simply say, I'm going to pray and then send at least $20 and that provides a scholarship for another teen or preteen to be trained in our Tiger training, pure evangelism and leadership. We thank you for caring enough to pray and give and we hope you will feel stay tuned. We're going to give you some more details. We're going to share with you specifically what we call God's ABC's. We're giving these out today. Several hundred people are coming to Triple T today to a special event and every one of them, God willing, will receive a copy of the plan of salvation, the reproduction of the billboard and will learn how to go to heaven and get information about what this ministry is all about. We're going to share some of that with you in just a few moments. So please stay tuned because you don't want to miss what we're about to give to you. Know that you can be a very vital part of all that's happening by being a Tiger teammate. Why should you pray about and consider being a Tiger teammate to help make Triple T's mission a reality to communicate Christianity to and through teenagers to win them to Christ and train them for Christ teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches on their campuses throughout their communities and into their world wherever God leads them in their future. Triple T has three distinctives. We are church connected Bible believing aggressively evangelistic Bible based prayer power according to Ken Anderson is using relevant scripture to pray with confidence for all your needs. To renew Triple T's Christian youth ministries moving forward in youth evangelism takes people willing to help the continuing impact happen.
