Telling The TRUTH
012812 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not forget to entertain strangers for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Hebrews 13-2, New King James Version. You never know who that person is who is a stranger. God sends people across our pathways and He watches what happens. He observes our response. God knows. God is omniscient. And God allows us opportunities to serve Him unsuspecting. So be careful. Be prayerful. And be sure to be hospitable. Someone is going to come across your path that you don't know. Somebody whom God is going to direct your way. Make certain that you represent the Lord Jesus Christ effectively. Make sure you are friendly and you are kind and considerate. Make certain you are following God's leadership. Make sure you are reading the Word of God. And then pray diligently, personally, and with other believers. And pray for those folk who need to know the Lord. Folk you can reach. Folk you can entertain who may be strangers. Hebrews 13-2, New King James Version has a special message for you and for me. Listen. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them and those who are mistreated since you yourselves are in the body also. Look around you and don't have an arrogant attitude. Please be careful and prayerful regarding every relationship with every individual with whom you come in contact. Be sure that you are praying for folk. Be sure that you are kind and considerate and be a representative of Jesus Christ wherever you go and with whomever you are in contact. There are people out there who are willing and waiting to know the truth. That Jesus Christ is who He says He is. Someone needs to tell them. Will you be that someone? Will you be the one who will prayerfully present God's wonderful plan of salvation to let folk know that they need to admit they have sinned to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly. God can make you usable and He can use you this very day, this very week, to bring honor and glory to Him. So keep praying, keep reading the Word of God, keep fellowshiping with other believers, and then go with the gospel. Here are some straight talk from the Word of God. Listen carefully. Hebrews 13, 4, New King James Version says, "Marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers, God will judge." Be sure your sin will find you out. So be careful and be prayerful about every relationship. Don't get caught in a romantic trap that can trip you and cause you to be all that you should not be and far less than you ought to be. Make sure that if temptation comes your way, that you stop immediately and ask God for help. Turn to the Word of God. Let the Lord speak to your heart. In the King James Version, the Bible says, "Thy word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against thee." To put that in language that we understand today, hide God's Word in your heart so you won't sin against the Lord and against others, even yourself. But if you do mess up, go to the Lord immediately and ask for forgiveness. As a Christian, as a believer, if you and I confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Know that God is a great forgiver, but he wants us to stop sinning and start serving. So keep your guard up. Keep your prayer life intact. If you find yourself wanting things that you ought not want, ask God to change your water. Listen to Hebrews 13.5, New King James Version. Let your conduct be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have. For he himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." What a fantastic promise straight from God. No matter what you have or don't have, give it all to the Lord, including the desires of your heart and watch God work wonderfully. Watch him bring into your personal involvement people who care, people who know the Lord, people who are concerned, and let your conduct be without covetousness. That means don't cry and what the other guy has. Be happy with what God has provided for you. Be content. Know this. No matter what happens in the days ahead, even today, God says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So keep reading the Word of God. Keep fellowshiping with other believers and keep telling people how to get to heaven by admitting they have sinned, by turning to Jesus, by telling others about Him. That's how God provides the gift of God eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord. And if you have done that, please be ready for a fantastic promise from God. So we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13-6, New King James Version. Isn't that wonderful? The Lord is my helper. He is your helper. And then say, as God's Word tells us, "I will not fear what man can do to me." With God watching over us, and Jesus Christ as personal Savior, with the Holy Spirit in dwelling, each one of us who believes on Christ, then God takes care of the difficulties. Sure, they're going to be difficult people, and you're going to come across their paths, and they are going to come where you are. But trust in the Lord, with all of your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. But in every way, every day, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. God has a plan for your life. He has something for you to do that nobody can do quite the way you can do it, if you will do what God wants you to do. So ask yourself the question, Lord, what do you want me to do? What have you entrusted to me? How can I serve you? Read the Word of God. Isn't it wonderful how God has a special message for you from His Word? Listen to Hebrews 13-7, New King James. Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the Word of God to you, whose faith follow considering the outcome of their conduct. There are people in places of leadership, and you need to be listening carefully. Let God guide you and direct you into the paths of people who are walking with the Lord. And as that happens, make certain that you are doing the things that God would have you to do. Listen to the Word of God as it is spoken, as it is spoken to you, and make sure that it is the true Word of God that is being spoken. Make certain that you are not listening to fables or to somebody's imaginations, but to the infallible, inerrant, inspired Word of God. And watch their faith factors, and follow that example, and know that the outcome of their conduct always starts with the faith they have in the Lord Jesus Christ. What about you? How is your faith? When you're about to share the love of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ with someone, are you expecting results? I hope you are. My high school band director said, "The problem with our world is the inconsistency of the consistent." Do you know folk who can't be relied upon? Feel to make a promise, and then they don't follow through? Maybe you're that way. Certainly all of us have had those moments in life when inconsistency has shown, but there is one who will never be inconsistent. Who listened to the promise of Hebrews 13-8, New King James Version. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Isn't that really something? We can rely on that. Aren't you glad that God has put that in His word? Isn't it fantastic to know that Jesus will never change? Jesus loves us now. He loved us yesterday. He will love us into the future. Jesus is the most consistent person the world will ever know. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So He wants us to follow Him, and to be consistent, to be sharing our faith with others. Will you? Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Together toward tomorrow, Triple T's open house celebration begins this afternoon at 2.23 until 6 p.m. and it will be open Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and next Saturday. Tonight, God willing, will be Triple T's 2,400th consecutive Saturday since we began February 5, 1966. They're going to be interactive displays and photos and audio and video. Opportunities to share testimonies of what God is doing in the lives of alumni and others touched by Triple T during the first 2,400 weeks of youth evangelism. Decade by decade, the continuing story of youth evangelism in America, flashbacks 1931 to 40, 1941 to 1950, 1951 to 1960, 1961 to 1970, 1971 to 1980, 1981 to 1990, 1991 to 2000, and then 2001 to 2010, and a look back at last year, 2011, and then fast forward from where we are right now toward 2020 and beyond. It's an exciting thing for you to view and we hope you will. It's what we call a dynamic display because it's consistently being changed and updated and rearranged, but you can come today on the ground floor the very, very premier opening of Together toward Tomorrow. Listen to this promise from the Word of God from Genesis 22, 17. "In blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your descendants shall possess the gates of their enemies." Tonight we're shooting for the stars. We're excited because of what God has already done in those 2399 Saturdays. And to have open houses and a light to be able to welcome you and your friends and we hope you'll come. Multiply your ministry is a 100-week series of evangelistic youth efforts being launched at Triple T Youth Ministries this week tonight, the 2400th, through the 46th birthday next Saturday, February 4, with a pizza party to celebrate next Saturday night at 727. It begins 100 weeks of outreach to go all the way through December 28, 2013. By the way, Triple T is located at 13,000 U.S. Highway 41 North at Booneville, Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and I-64. Triple T will have open house to celebrate and commemorate the 2400th consecutive Saturday evening tonight and the 46th birthday next Saturday, but will be open every afternoon from 2.23 to 6 p.m. We want you to come because we have for you a very special guest. It's a Bible. It's the new King James Bible. And if you're between the ages of 10 and 19, it's free for you. And if you come and you're older, we've got something for you too. And we want you to have this special gift when you come to Triple T. We have been thrilled since February 5, 1966, when Mary and I opened the door to our home to teenagers. Only two came that first Saturday night, and then the next Saturday, two came, a different two, but two came. And there have been teenagers here every single Saturday for 2,399 Saturdays. And tonight, God willing, will be the 2400th. When we moved in, we had a baby girl. We'd been here just about a little over six months, and we had a baby boy. That little girl and that little boy are here at Triple T right now as I'm sharing this with you. I hope that you can come and meet them and meet others. Tonight, especially, as we celebrate 2,400 consecutive Saturdays, and next week, free pizza, as we have a birthday party. Triple T Christian Communication Center was constructed in 1978 on the 30-acre campus at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41 North and Boovaller Harmony Road. When we first moved here, everything surrounding us were cornfields, our beanfields, our wheatfields. And now, everything is emblossom, but not products, but buildings, and businesses, and enterprises. What a thrill it is, again, to have been here, and to have had so many different teenagers, hundreds, thousands, multiple thousands, across all of these 46 years, next Saturday. The mission, telling the truth to through teenagers, is currently displayed under the message "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" on five billboards between Evansville and Princeton, along U.S. 41. Telling the truth, our daily broadcast is heard on 34 stations, including this one, every day. It's also available by podcast and on Triple T's website, www.tttchristianyouth.org. And if you will check the website, you will see how you can also be a part of the ministry by being a Facebook fan, and you can check a video on YouTube. So check the website and be involved and be participating in the wonderful things God has done and is doing. During these nearly 46 years of ministry, youth from all 50 states and over 30 different countries have attended Triple T training at Triple T. We just had a training session last Saturday, and we called it "Tiger Team Training" for the first time. And those teenagers and pre-teens that were here are out now inviting friends and coming to be a part of a very special thing that we have going right now that we're calling "Mission Possible." The objective is to multiply the ministry. You can multiply your ministry if you are a believer in Christ by being involved with us. Our goal is to triple the participants by the seventh day of April. April 5, 6, and 7 is going to be Hosanna Highway. It's going to be a dramatic presentation of the last week of Jesus' life on planet Earth before the crucifixion, the burial, and then the resurrection gloriously on Easter. And this will be pre-Easter, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before Easter this year. So think about being with us for that too. But we'd like to have you with us today or tonight or this week. And we have, like I said, a gift for you. If you're between 10 and 19, it's a New King James Bible with a free special cover with a picture of Triple T's building, a picture of the billboard on the front, and very special information on the cover itself, plus the entire Bible. And it's free. All you have to do is come and get yours. We also have a special gift for every adult that comes. And if you can't come tonight, come tomorrow afternoon between 2.30 and 6 o'clock, or Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday, or Friday, or next Saturday, and stay for the pizza party and the celebration of 46 years of telling the truth to, through teenagers. The need, but if a gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those that are perishing. The plan, go, into all the world, and preach, proclaim, present, proclamate the gospel to everybody, everywhere. And the result, and the word of the Lord, is being published throughout all the region. That's why we use radio. That's why we submit articles to newspapers. And that's why we are constantly thanking the Lord for the billboards up and down Highway 41 in some other locations. That's why we do one-on-one sharing of the gospel, two and through teenagers. That's why we take fair share to county fairs and state festivals every summer. That's why we always are here every single Saturday night with a group of teenagers and adults who care, having a wonderful time of sharing God's great, wonderful, glorious news is an exciting, a very fast-paced night, but it happens every single Saturday. No two Saturdays have ever been the same. After 2,399 and about to be, in a few hours, 2,400 consecutive Saturdays. So, be a part of all of this. And if you can't possibly come, why don't you write us? The address is TTT. 13,000, that's 1-3-0, US Highway 41 North, Evansville, Indiana, 47725. Stay tuned. Mission possible dates back to January 1. That's not too long ago. Almost a month though. And it goes through April 7. Tigers, teens involved, going evangelizing regularly are the bedrock of everything we do at Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. We are training teenagers to tell the truth. And they are. And they're reaching their friends, and their friends are meeting Jesus. And when that happens, wonderful things transpire. I hope you'll be praying about being a Tiger teammate. A Tiger teammate is a person who will pray consistently, asking God to supply every need on the part of these teenagers, preteens, and the staff, and the adults who work with them, that coach them, encourage them, and help them move forward for God's glory. Multiply your ministry, as I've said, is the theme and thrust through December 28, 2013. Again, God willing, way out in the future, almost two years from now, it will be Triple T's 25th, 100th consecutive Saturday. Again, God willing. Tiger teammates are Christian adults willing to invest time and talent and treasure. Will you pray and ask God to show you if you should be one? I hope you will. Because the first $20 anybody gives any year provides a scholarship that we call a leading youth scholarship that allows the person who receives it if approved by a pastor or youth worker, and okayed by a parent or guardian to come for a training day, to learn how to share their faith individually with their friends, with their family, with their world. And every $10 contribution can get the gospel another 10 to 19 year old through one-on-one sharing, Bible distribution, evangelistic youth efforts, and public relations outreach, including billboards, join the truth radio, and the podcast, plus, plus, plus, all kinds of other means and media. So you're a part of something really, really outstanding when you determine to be a Tiger teammate. Multiply your ministry. 2 Corinthians 9, 10 and 11, New King James Version says, "Now may he who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God." So say yes, be a prayer partner, and then share whatever God leads you to. We want you to come. We want you to see what has happened. It's going to be educational and hopefully inspirational for you to watch what God has been doing all across the years from 1931 right up to the present. And as we look to the future, together toward tomorrow, we want you to be seeing some videos and listening to some audio and seeing picture after picture after picture of people that God has used and is using in youth evangelism across America. It's been an exciting decade by decade series of experiences, and we've been a part of it here just in this location since 1966. But I've been a part of it a lot longer than that. In 1948, God gave me the opportunity to be the director of Youth for Christ in Mount Carmel, Illinois, my hometown. December of 1948 was our first rally. And during that senior year, I had the opportunity of also speaking on radio on Saturday mornings live every Saturday for my senior year's wrap-up time. And then it was during that time that I started dating a very, very attractive preacher's daughter and continued to learn to fly an airplane. Meanwhile, being involved in everything the music department had to offer at Mount Carmel High School except the Glee Club. Also, being involved on the Sibilene staff to put together the yearbook all four years of my high school days. Those are wonderful memories, but it was always just pushing us forward to keep reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ beginning in high school. God can make you usable and use you to whatever age you are, whatever your life and life might be. Know this when you pray? Christ through you can change the world.
