Telling The TRUTH
012112 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dooms. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, to Jesus, the mediator of the New Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel." Hebrews 1224, New King James Version. There you have it. Jesus Christ, the mediator of the New Covenant. He is the one who died for your sins and my sins. His blood was shed, sprinkling down from the cross, the redemption that we must receive from Him. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercies, He saves us. Are you willing to believe? Are you willing to trust? Are you willing to share Jesus Christ's love for others with those whom you love? God will help you to read His Word, if you will, to understand it, if you do read it, to pray diligently and intelligently, and fellowship with other believers, and to pray with them to be concerned about those people that Jesus' blood was shed in their behalf. Get the gospel to people now. Behold, now is accepted time. Behold, today is the day of salvation. Who do you know who does not know Christ? Will you go to Him or to her? Will you do it quickly? Will you do it effectively? Will you share the gospel? See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven. Hebrews 1225, New King James Version. Understand God's Word is quick and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword. The Bible declares this to be true. So to understand what God is saying here in Hebrews, read the Gospels, especially the Gospel of John. Jesus, in the Gospel of John, is wrapping up His life on earth after the whole ministry has moved forward so effectively. And He is sharing with His Apostles, with the disciples, with those who are followers of Him, some insights that are very, very important for us to understand. So read the Word of God and then heed the Word of God. Know that God wants us to share His Word with others. He wants us to let people know that Jesus did die. He was buried and He rose again. And right now He is interceding for us at the right hand of God the Father. He has sent the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts and lives and minds of every believer in Christ. If you are a believer, know that the Holy Spirit is available to you. Rely on Him to help you tell the truth to those who need to know what the truth really is. Our God is omnipotent. He is all-powerful. Listen to Hebrews 1226, New King James Version, whose voice then shook the earth. But now He is promising, yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven. Great things God has done. Great things God is doing. Great things God will do in the days ahead. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lead not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. That's Proverbs 3, 5 and 6. Trust the Lord. God has a perfect plan for you. He has a purpose for your life. He has somebody that you can reach that nobody else can reach quite the way you can if you will reach out with God's glorious gospel. Will you read His Word? Will you pray consistently? Will you pray with other believers? And will you pray for those who don't know the Lord? Will you pray for ministries like this? Will you pray for all of the folk who are out there endeavoring to communicate Christianity? Will you be a personal Christian communicator? I hope you will. Pray a lot. Do what God's Word says and then go with His glorious gospel to someone today. Know that when you do, God blesses. Read God's Word in context. Understand what He says. He normally will go ahead and explain. All Scripture is given by inspiration. God wants you and me to listen to what He has to say and to do something about it. Hebrews 12, 27, New King James says, "Now this, yet once more, indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of the things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. God is not going to do anything other than what He in His divine masterpiece has planned. He knows what He is doing, when He is doing it, and when He is going to do it. Let's be in tune with Him so that we can listen to what He has to say and then do what He wants us to do. God always opens doors of opportunity when we make ourselves available to Him." Will you do that by prayer? By the reading of His Word? By fellowshipping with others who believe? I hope you will and that you will understand somebody needs to know the Lord and if you will go to them and tell them God's truth, wonderful things can happen. People can be born again. You can be the catalyst. You can be the communicator. Will you? Hebrews 12, 28, New King James Version says, "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear." There you have it. God is going to help us understand that if we have grace, wonderful things are going to transpire. Grace is God's unmerited favor. So by grace you are saved through faith and that not of yourselves, not of works, lest anybody, you or me or anybody else, could boast about it. God's grace, His amazing grace, came because Jesus lived perfectly, died for our sins, yours and mine, was buried and rose again, and now He is interceding at the right hand of God the Father for every believer. So His kingdom cannot be shaken. Now it is up to us to have reverence for God and to have godly fear. God wants us to respect Him. He wants us to serve Him. Are you willing to do that? Are you willing to tell other people that Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, died for them and will give them the gift of God eternal life? Tell them now. For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12-29, New King James Version. Seven words. Seven words that let us know who God really is. How great He is, how powerful He is. God, with all of this, loves you. He loves me. He loves the whole world, person by person, individually and collectively. And because God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He wants you and me to understand that, to abide by that, to admit that we have sinned, to turn to Jesus from our sins, to believe with all of our hearts that He is who He says He is, and then to confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus. That means to tell people who Jesus is and how they too can become His children. Will you pray? Will you read God's Word? Will you fellowship with other believers? And will you then tell the truth? Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." No one comes to the Father, except by Me. "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." Do you know that every believer in Christ is your brother or your sister because they have believed on a Lord Jesus? If you have and they have, then you and I and they are members of God's forever family. Hebrews 13-1, Nuking James says, "Let brotherly love continue." We are to love the brethren. Sometimes we take potshots at other people. We think we know more than they know, and perhaps that's true. But the love that we are to extend to anybody who is a believer does not have a stopgap. We are not in control of stopping or starting that love. That love is born in us and needs to come through us to other people who need to know that God loves them, and we do too. Who do you love? Do you love God? Do you love your family? Do you love your neighbor? Do you love people enough to tell them that Jesus Christ wants to give them life that will last forever? I hope you will do that so that we can have many more brothers and sisters in the family of God. People must be born again to be a part of that family. Tell them how. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. There is a reason why today is a very special day at Triple T. Tiger Team Training, Peer Evangelism Training, Coach Training for Adults is happening because we are reaching more people and we want to have more people sharing the Gospel one-on-one. I was told this week a very special story. It really, really grabbed me. A 16-year-old teenager and his girlfriend were coming to Triple T, one from one town, one from another, and they were dating here. And they heard us talking about the need we had of seeing more people come to know Jesus Christ personally. That was a long time ago. Before we had a building, there was a little house we called the Brown House. It was literally three rooms and a path. There was no indoor plumbing. And we had college guys staying there and they were in training in youth of Angelism and it was my privilege to work with them and to share with them the techniques of presenting the Gospel to teenagers. But we were not having a lot of results at our Saturday night rallies. We were concerned and so we called a very special meeting. We said on Friday evening, all the guys that wanted to come for training could stay in the Brown House, the girls could stay in our basement, and Friday evening we would train them, then they would overnight, the next morning after breakfast we would train again and keep that training going until the rally at 727, that Saturday night. We taught them the plan of salvation. We taught them the Gospel. We taught them how to share their faith in Christ. We taught them to share ABC wise, A, admit you sinned for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 323. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. In Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 623. To believe in Christ, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3 16, Confess Christ publicly. That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart, that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes under righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation, Romans 10, 9, and 10. We taught them those verses. They learned the verses. They were able to share those scriptures with people who responded to the invitation, and we saw things turn around. And we watched God work wonderfully. And so now, at least once a month, we are having tiger team training, pure evangelism training, so that we're training more and more youth to share their faith in Christ with others. We're training adults to be coaches. That 16-year-old those years ago is now the pastor of a church in the tri-state. That girl from the other town is now a pastor's wife, his wife. And it was he who told me this story and helped me reminisce on where we had come from. I remember so vividly a guy who was very close to me in the ministry. He was a college student. He came bounding down the steps of our basement. My office was down there at the time. And he asked the question, "George, are we getting kids saved?" His name was Bob McConnell. Bob was a student at U of E, getting ready to transfer to Wheaton College where he was going to work on a degree in communications for a master's degree. Shortly after that, Bob McConnell was killed instantly, right in our driveway on Highway 41, but Bob got through to me. And I said, "Yes, we're getting a few." He said, "We need to get more." And we began to pull out the stops. And because of Bob's homegoing, things turned around. And a lot of people came to know Jesus Christ personally. We're excited about what God can do, what he's already doing. And we want to invite you to be a part of all of this. Next Saturday, God willing. Triple T will celebrate 2,400 consecutive Saturdays. We're hoping lots and lots of folk will come and be with us. We're trying to communicate. We're trying to invite. We're trying to urge them to come on back and be a part of all of this. We're going to have open house for a whole week, for 8 days, from 2.23 in the afternoon to 6 o'clock in the evening. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday through the following Saturday, which will be February 4, our 46th birthday as a ministry. That will be launch week from February 4, 2012, through December 28, 2013. During that 100-week period, our theme, our thrust, is Multiply Your Ministry. St. Corinthians 9, 10th and 11, New King James Version says, "Now may he who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality which causes thanksgiving through us to God." Great promises there from the Word of God. And we're asking people to pray to help the ministry multiply. Your ministry, as an individual, if you are believer in Christ, can multiply as you get involved. So we're asking people to be tiger teammates. Here's what happens. An encourager is a person who gives at least 20 to $299 each year. The first $20 contribution given by each tiger teammate annually provides a leading youth tiger team scholarship, providing training in peer evangelism and Christian leadership for another teenager. Every $10 contribution can get the gospel to another 10 to 19-year-old through one-on-one sharing, Bible distribution, evangelistic youth efforts, and public relations outreach, including billboards and telling the truth daily radio broadcast and podcast. You can check it on our website, tttchristianyouth.org. That's three T's, our three T's, stand for, telling the truth. And then you can become a tiger teammate expander, as God enables giving a monthly average of at least $300, $200, $150, $100, as God leads you. And then, if you can't do that much, you can be a tiger teammate enlarger in every given average monthly of at least $75, $50, $25, or even $20. Every tiger teammate becomes a part of the task force to get the gospel to people everywhere. God gave a promise to Abraham. He repeated it in Old and New Testaments. And this promise, I believe, can be applicable to you and to me as believers in Christ as we communicate Christianity to others, as we multiply our ministry together. Here's the promise from Hebrews 614, New King James. Surely blessing, I will bless you, and multiplying, I will multiply you. Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries meets every Saturday night, as you know we've been doing it for a long, long time, almost 46 years, we'll be in a couple of weeks, God willing. We have a thing called Tiger Team. Tiger means teens involved going evangelizing regularly. We train in pure evangelism as is happening today. We do a thing called Project Proclaim. Project Proclaim takes the gospel to people everywhere we can reach them through every means and media possible. We call it saturation evangelism. One-on-one sharing, Bible distribution, evangelistic events and efforts, political relations outreach, internet, billboards, radio, television, newspaper. And we invite you to be a part of all of this. And if you haven't ordered yours yet, a free copy of the New King James Bible with a special Triple T cover, with a picture of the billboard on the front, a picture of our building on the back, with a map to Triple T, is available to you. We'll send it to you, or you can come and pick it up tonight at Triple T. It costs a phone call, or an email, or a personal request. That's all. It's free for you. Here's how to get yours. Call us. Area code 812-867-2418, or come tonight and pick it up at Triple T at 727, or order by email. Our email is info@ttchristianyouth.org, very same as our website. We want you to have your personal copy of the New King James Bible with a special Triple T cover, so call, or order yours today or come tonight. To multiply your ministry, you can be a prayer partner with us. And we will pray for you. It's a two-way street. Remember the story I told you a while ago about the 16-year-old and his girlfriend? Well, he was from Mount Carmel, Illinois, and she was from Princeton, Indiana. And now they are ministering together and have in several different states, using all that they learned to glorify God and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are continually using the plan of Saturday nights, Tiger Team, the leading youth conferences, and now we're calling them Tiger Team training days, Bible clubs on and off campus, Project Proclaim, and Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth Efforts at or near public secondary schools, county by county, everywhere God opens doors of opportunity. In 2011, we were privileged to minister directly in 17 tri-state counties. Our goal this year is to at least double that number. In fact, hopefully, to go to 46 for our sixth year. And we're opening the mail, listening to the telephone, responding to invitations, and going as God provides opportunities. We're putting together the Traveling Tigers ministry teams this summer for fair share. We've got people coming from across America that will be with us in July and August. They are coming from Teen Missions International Boot Camp where we'll be privileged to train them in Perivangelism. We're bringing in a group that is called BMW, Bible Missionary Work Training Center students who will be working with us this summer, along with local Traveling Tigers. It's wonderful to watch God work as only He can because it is prayer power that gets the job done. Have you prayed using Scripture to pray with confidence for all your needs? I hope that you will understand that God wants you to do precisely that. We continue to be church connected by believing and aggressively evangelistic as a ministry, and we invite you to be with us in all of this. Our mission, telling the truth to and through teenagers, to win them to Christ and train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities, and into their world, wherever God leads them in their future. Our biblical mandate that I have shared before I want to share again. Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled or hidden, it is hidden to those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 4, 1 through 3, New King James Version. The vision, every youth, to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ before his or her 20th birthday. And it's working. Teenagers are hearing the word of God. They are responding to the gospel. They are believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. And we're hoping to reach far, far more than we ever have before. We have just received a shipment of 2400 Bibles that we want to put into the hands of 10 to 19 year olds. And we would like for you to have your copy. Remember, all you have to do to get yours is to call or come by or even send us an email. You can write a letter if you want to. You can even send something in the letter to help us reach more people for Christ. Every $10 helps us reach one more 10 to 19 year old with the gospel. So why don't you do this? Jot down this address. TTT Christian Youth Ministries. 13,000. That's 1-3-0 U.S. Highway 41 North. Evansville, Indiana 477-25. And whether you give or don't give, just ask for the Bible and we'll send it to you. Or you can call us. There you code 812-867-2418. That's 867-2418. Or you can email me personally. George@ttchristianyouth.org. Or you can come by tonight at 727 and we will personally give you your copy of the New King James Bible with a special triple T cover with a plan of salvation on the inside front flap and God's top 10, the 10 commandments inside back. We're here for you. We need you to pray for us as we continue to go with the gospel to every person we possibly can. Christ through you can change the world.
