[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dooms. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." The heroes in Hebrews 11 looked back over their shoulders and thought about where they had come from. But they knew where they were headed, and it wasn't to return. It was to go into eternity, serving God while on planet Earth. What about you? Listen to Hebrews 11, 15, New King James Version. And truly, if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. A famous novel was titled "You Can't Go Home Again." Oh, you can in your dreams. You can even visit it, but it's never the same. Things change, people go, people come. And so, what are you going to do, where you are, with what God has entrusted to you? Are you sharing your faith in Christ where you are planted? Someone as well said, "Bloom where you are planted." Are you doing that? Are you accomplishing the purpose that God has outlined for you, for His glory, where you are today? There are people who are waiting to hear you tell them about Jesus Christ and Him crucified and risen again. Will you tell them so that they can go to Heaven if they will trust in the Lord with all of their heart? I hope you will, today. Hebrews 11, 16, New King James Version says, "But now they desire a better that is a heavenly country. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them." Can you say that? If you were to die tonight, would you go to Heaven? How do you know? Only if you have admitted you have sinned. Turn to Jesus Christ from your sins, believe with all of your heart that He is who He says He is, the Son of God, the Savior of the world. If you have trusted Jesus, then it's time to step up and be counted for Him right where you are. God has a place for you, prepared for eternity, but meanwhile, what are you doing for His glory? What will you do with Jesus who is called the Christ? Will you share His love, His death, His burial, His resurrection with people who need to know Him? Will you pray? Will you read God's Word? Will you fellowship with other Christians and will you together determine how to reach the most possible people in the shortest possible time with the gospel? I hope you will, and I hope you know for certain you are headed for Heaven. If your friend would die tonight, would he or she go to Heaven? If you don't know, would you tell them how? By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son. He was 1116, New King James Version. Can you see how Abraham and Isaac's story is a type of God's giving His son, Lord Jesus, to die for you and me? Only in this case, Jesus did die. Isaac didn't have to. He was rescued by God. But Jesus did die. He was buried, and He did rise again on the third day, according to the Scriptures. And because of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, anyone, anywhere who trusts Him can know that they are headed for Heaven. If you don't know, you can know. If you do know, share that story with people who don't know. Pray with other believers. Read God's Word together. Pray. And then go with the Gospel to friends, to relatives, to neighbors, to classmates, to fellow workers, to people who need the Lord. Everybody, everywhere, needs to hear Jesus' saves. The Bible is clear about this. That's the truth. Tell it today. The story of Abraham and his willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac is really an amazing tale of truth. But this is what happened. Listen to Hebrews 1118, New King James. Of whom it was said, "In Isaac, your seed shall be called." Yes, God promised Abraham that his offspring would be more plentiful than the stars in the sky, than the sands of the seas. And Isaac was the one that God used to accomplish his purpose. And from Isaac came millions and millions of people into the future. God wants you to know that he has a plan for you also. He has something for you to do that you can accomplish that no one else can accomplish quite the way you could. Would you avail yourself of knowing and doing God's perfect will for you? Read the Word of God, especially if you are a believer. Look at Romans chapter 12 and begin reading at verse 1 and see what God wants you to do. Is to present your body a living sacrifice. And then keep reading and see how you are a part of what God wants to have happen to people who love him. Wonderful things can happen when you get it together with the Lord. Events happen suddenly that make everything afterward totally different. On December 7, 1941, when Pearl Harbor was bombed and America was thrust into the war, everything from that moment changed. People's thinking and people's actions. Listen to Hebrews 1119 New King James Version to another change. Accounting that God was able to raise him up even from the dead from which he also received him in a figurative sense. That's talking about Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac and because God kept that death from transpiring, Isaac was able to have children and his children have children and their children have children. And from then on, the world was populated because Abraham trusted God and Isaac was spared. Are you willing to trust the Lord no matter what he asked you to do? Are you willing to go wherever he wants you to go? Today can be a very special day for you. If you will say, Lord, here am I. Send me. Can you? Will you? Are you ready to say that and to proceed under God's guidance? The faith factor is of the utmost importance in God's scheme of things. Listen to Hebrews 1120 New King James Version. By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. There you have it. Abraham was the father of Isaac. Isaac was the father of Jacob and Esau. And then came the twelve tribes of Israel fathered by Jacob. And the rest is history. What about you? Are you willing to say God? Make me usable? Use me today? I want to be your servant, Lord. I'm willing to read your word. I'm willing to pray, not only alone, but with other believers. And I'm willing to share my faith. To go with the gospel to people who need to know about you. If you will sincerely say that to the Lord and are willing to put feet on your prayers and move in the direction God would have you to go to go through every door that he opens for you, God will do magnificent things and he will multiply your ministry. Are you ready? God is ready when you are. You have to start where you are. Use what you have. Do all you can. And trust the Lord to put you in the center of his will. Listen to Hebrews 1121 New King James. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff. As an old, old man, Jacob was able to accomplish something so special. He then, being renamed Israel, was able to lean on his staff and bless his grandsons, Joseph's boys. And then God used, by him and for him, blessed the twelve tribes of Israel through those boys. And continually, since that moment of truth, God has done what only God can for the children of Israel. God wants us to pray for peace in Jerusalem. He wants you to know that he cares about everybody everywhere. He cares about you. He cares about your family. He cares about your friends. He cares about those people that you care about. Are you willing to tell them about Jesus? If you don't, who will? If you don't do it now, when will it happen? God is waiting for you to step up at the plate and to take the gospel and share it effectively and urgently. Every Saturday at 7.27 pm, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, Midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. It seems hardly possible that Thanksgiving is now past and Christmas is looming very high on the horizon. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, a whole lot of things happen. People are made aware of the Lord. Thanks be to God for His incredible, unbelievable gift. Jesus Christ came to save sinners. Giving thanks is a wonderful thing, and let's go back to the Psalms. Some 105, 1 through 5, New King James says, O give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing Psalms to Him, talk of His wondrous works, glory in His holy name. Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord. Seek the Lord and His strength. Seek His face evermore. Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth. Giving thanks is not just a once a year proposition. It's something that should happen consistently all the time. We are to rejoice always, pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God and Christ Jesus for you and for me. Listen to Psalm 136, 1 through 9. You'll see the same phrase or hear it again and again in this very short Psalm. Listen. O give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His mercy endures forever. O give thanks to the God of gods. His mercy endures forever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords. For His mercy endures forever. To Him who alone does great wonders, for His mercy endures forever. To Him by wisdom made the heavens, for His mercy endures forever. To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, for His mercy endures forever. To Him who made great lights, for His mercy endures forever. The sun to rule by day, for His mercy endures forever. And the moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endures forever. Someone has said forever is a long, long time. Forever is forever. Eternal. Always, always, always, always happening, never, never, never, ever ending. One of the great privileges that we have at Double Twickers Youth Ministries is to consistently be here Saturday by Saturday. Every single Saturday night, some of the world's greatest teenagers come through the doors. Some of them are missing it by staying home. Some of them are saying, "Oh, I've been there, but they haven't been here last week, or the week before. And unless they come this week, they're going to miss a whole lot because this week." We are celebrating Jesus' birthday. We're doing it with a birthday cake that Mary is making. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing that she does every year. And those who don't get here are missing the blessing that she is giving to the people who come. It's a wonderful privilege that we have of celebrating Jesus' birthday. And we do it all during December. On the platform at Triple T, there are three Christmas trees. Those Christmas trees will be adorned with lights. But the best thing of all is every one of those trees will have on it dangling the names of people in tags. Tags with the names of every person touched by this ministry that we could capture their names in 2011 so far. Hundreds and hundreds of names on the Christmas trees. And then we'll have the names of those who have actually been here or one of our outreaches in person. And then we'll have the names of those that are what we call tiger teammates, the adults, who invest time and talent and treasure. Triplet because in his ministries is church connected, Bible believing, and aggressively evangelistic. One of the things that we do is to award things that are tangible gifts. We call them achievement awards to tigers. A tiger is a teen involved going evangelizing regularly. And if they attend their Sunday school and get their teacher to sign and bring the signed paper here, they get 100 points every week they attend. If they attend a local Bible believing church, 100 points every week. If they attend their local church youth group, 100 points every week. If they bring their church bulletin, they get 50 points every month they do that. If they volunteer for their church, they get 100 points for every hour they volunteer or at triple T. If they memorize God's Word, 50 points for every verse memorized and properly quoted. If there are 10 verses in the chapter, they get 100 points for every verse. If they attend on Saturday nights, they get points. If they bring friends, they get points. If they bring their Bibles, they get points. They participate in fair share points. If they attend a tiger team impact event, 100 points for every event. And speaking of events, beginning next Monday, will be privileged to go, God willing, to Booneville, Indiana, First Baptist Church with in-bounds ministries. Todd Burden, who has been at triple T lots and lots of times, first as a teenager and then as a youth leader and now as a Christian communicator. Todd was a player on a team that was in the National Association of Christian Athletes. He was an all-American. Division I national champions coach for an National Association of Christian Athletes team. Today, he is the founder and head coach of in-bounds ministries. The tip off times vary. 530 p.m. Monday, December 5 at the First Baptist Church, Booneville, Indiana. 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 6. Then sends Indiana free Methodist Church Jim. Vellonia, Indiana, the next night on Wednesday, December 7 and on it goes with a very special happening here on Thursday, the 8th of December. It's 630 at triple T and it's family night and every person in a family listening today is invited to come. We just need to know by the preceding Tuesday, which is December 6, who's coming and how many? Just call us, area code 812-867-2418. That's 867-2418, area code 812. And then on Friday, we don't know where we'll be, someplace, God willing in Southern Illinois. Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, we'll be at the Dream Center in Evansville, 727 p.m. Saturday night, December 10 back at triple T. It's great to work with Bible believing churches and pastors and youth leaders. And during this past spring and summer, we took teams to minister in 17 local churches and ministry facilities. Alban Illinois, House of Prayer, Fairfield, Northside Pentecostal, McClanesboro, Northside Community Church, Lawrenceville, First United Methodist, Mount Carmel, Heartland Worship Center, Alny, Faith Bible Church, and St. Paul's United Methodist. Booneville, First Baptist, Santiana, Fairhaven, Christ Fellowship, Evansville, First Avenue Presbyterian, North Haven, General Baptist, Fort Branch Wesleyan Church, Oakland City, Oak Grove, General Baptist, Princeton, First General Baptist, Villonia, Christian Church, Vincennes-Bethany Presbyterian, and Higher Bound. And then Harnesburg Baptist Church in Harnesburg, Kentucky. And as we look forward to next year, we're looking forward again to having Lee and Darlene Homoke with us doing a very special thing as we get ready for the pre-Easter Happening at Triple T. That we call Hosanna Highway. And we've invited Lee and Darlene to be back with us, and we're looking forward to finding out where we're supposed to be between the 17th of March and the 7th of April. We know we'll be here each Saturday night, but we'll be in local church facilities across the tri-state between Saturdays. So stay tuned and listen to ways that you can learn more about what we're doing. Our website is www.ttchristianyouth.org. Repeat. tttchristianyouth.org. Stay tuned for more information and hopefully some very special inspiration. I have a very personal recommendation just for you. Pray. Pray about what God would have you to do, what he would have you to accomplish to glorify him. When you pray that way, God will hear, and he will open doors. Yesterday I received a phone call. George, we have an opportunity. There is a ministry that is going to be going to Joplin, Missouri, where the tornado was devastating, and they're going to be giving a backpack to 400 high school and junior high students. Is there any possibility that a triple T New King James Bible could be put in the backpack so that every student will get the word of God? I said, "I'll make a phone call. I'll pray. I'll be back in touch." They said, "We'll call you back in a few moments." I said, "Fair enough." And when they called back, the answer was, "Yes, we will do this." And we will also be providing God's ABCs. Business card size, when it opens, it's got Romans 3, 23, Romans 6, 23, John 3, 16, Romans 10, 9, and 10. On the front is a copy of the billboard, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." And we're excited about that. And on these outreaches that we're doing with Todd Burden, every 10 to 19 year old that attends, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, will receive a New King James Bible with Triple T's website on the spine. Picture the building on the back and information on the inside about where to find the Bible. We're excited about the opportunities that God provides. We try to connect with people that are seeking God's will. And one of the things that we do is to give a special book. It's called "Made to Count." Discovering what to do with your life. Bob Wreckard was a very energetic young man who lived in Evansville for a while, went to IU, determined to be a doctor and then decided no, that wasn't God's will for his life, went to business and then went into a very far-reaching ministry. He put together this book with a friend, Randy Singer, and I'm excited about what they have said and what they have done and the way they have done it. The endorsements are like a who's who in Christian communications. Jack Graham, former president of the Southern Baptist Convention, pastor in Dallas, and a very special friend of mine. I went to college with Stu Epperson, the CEO of Salem Communications, Paige Patterson, another very well-known person, Steve Douglas, president of Campus Crusade for Christ, and Jay Strach, another very personal friend. Ed Young, pastor of Second Baptist Houston, John Maxwell, whom I met at Liberty University when Jerry Falwell introduced me to him, Adrian Rogers, who I met in New Albany, Indiana as we were ministering together there and others, HB London, that I met recently here. And what a wonderful thing it is to see God working in the hearts and lives of people. I want to share with you just the very special chapter titles on this very special Made to Count book. One, Made to Count. Two, designed for a destiny. Three, God's calling is for everyone, not just for ministry professionals. Four, finding God's unique plan outside the box. Five, the power lies within you and others self-help lies. It's all about my strengths and other self-help lie. A life-changing mission bigger than you. On Mission at Home. Your home, a nerve center for ministry. On Mission at Work. Understanding how God wired you. How God reveals your mission. A fleece, a closed door, a sense of peace. Does God guide like that? God at the Crossroads. In step with God. Follow God's plan and experience His pleasure. Follow God's plan and change your world. Bob Wreckard. Very, very, very articulate. Very, very effective communicator. Put these words on paper along with Randy Stringer. And I'm so glad that we're able to offer this to people who are seeking God's will. Our doors are open to anybody who wants to come in, especially youth. But we want to work with and partner with ministries that are reaching youth. Endivering to get the gospel to them. And we want you to be a partner with us too. So contact us. Write us or call us. And know Christ through you can change the way. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. You are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T. 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road. Midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for those in 1st through 5th grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org.
