[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. When God makes a promise, sometimes it is overwhelming. Listen to Genesis 17, 8, New King James Version. Also, I give to you and your descendants after you, the land in which you are a stranger. All the land of Canaan has an everlasting possession, and I will be their God. Abraham listened, God spoke, and the rest is history. What about you? What desires do you have? Is it something that would please the Lord if it would happen in your heart, in your life, in your circumstance? Pray. Ask God to show you His will. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Make sure that those desires are in tune with God. Make sure that you are reading God's Word. Make certain that you are praying consistently, and then always have fellowship with other believers in Christ. And together, prayerfully consider ways that you can communicate Christianity to those who need the Lord. Those who are on the outside, who could be on the inside of God's love. If you will tell them a truth. If you don't, who will? You have this opportunity. You have today to share God's wonderful world. Will you? And God said to Abraham, "As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you, throughout their generations." Genesis 17 9, New King James Version. Yes, God made the promise, and Abraham was the recipient. God always fulfills His promises. The Word of God is filled with promise after promise, not only to the people who first received those promises, but to you, and to me, if we have believed on the Lord Jesus. If we have received God's gift of eternal life, then we can put those promises into effect that God has placed in His holy, inspired, infallible Word. Do you believe the Bible? Are you reading it? Are you heeding it? Do you understand that God is given to you the opportunity and responsibility to share your faith in Christ with those who do not know Him? Pray. Read God's Word. Fellowship of other believers, and together, work out the strategies, the plans, the procedures, go with the gospel to people you know who don't know Christ, because you can be the difference-maker. Again, if not you who, if not now, when? Behold, now is accepted time. Behold, today is the day of salvation. Another name is about to change. Listen to Genesis 17 15, New King James Version. When God said to Abraham, "As for Sarah your wife, you shall not call her name Sarah, but Sarah shall be her name." When God makes changes, when He rearranges circumstances, sometimes He begins with a name change. What is your name? Are you a Christian? Are you a Christ follower? Have you been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on Calvary's cross for you? After He died, He was buried, and He rose again, and now He is interceding at the right hand of God the Father for the prayers that you and I pray in His name. When we pray in Jesus' name, God hears and answers. If a believer presents that prayer to Him through the Lord Jesus, you can pray for your friends who don't know the Lord, for family members, for neighbors. You can pray for those who do not know Christ, and you can fellowship with those believers, and together you can have compassion on the people who are lost, but who could be saved if someone like you would take the gospel to them and share with them God's wonderful plan of salvation. To admit you've sinned to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly. Will you? Another promise is coming from God to Abraham, a very special promise. Listen, Genesis 1716, New King James, tells a remarkable story. It's unfolding now. And I will bless you, and also give you a son by her. Then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations. Kings of people shall be from her. Yes, God changed the name from Sarah to Sarah, and told Abraham what was going to happen. Sarah was going to be so blessed of God, it was going to be remarkable. Things were going to transpire because God intervened. Miracles happened. They happened then. They can still happen today. Are you looking for a miracle? The miracle of the new birth is the greatest miracle that happens today to people who are lost, and who could be redeemed, changed, saved, given eternal life. But someone has to tell them how. Will you be the one? Will you pray with other believers? Will you read God's Word? Will you share the plan of salvation? Will you do it today that Christ died, was buried, rose again, and will move into the heart of any one that will open to him? Sometimes when God lets you know something wonderful is going to happen, it is so stunning that you are not only surprised but chagrined, and you really don't believe what God has said. Always believe the Bible. Always trust God. Listen to the predicament that Abraham found himself facing. Genesis 17-17, New King James Version. Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?" Yes, he laughed. But God was not pleased at that laughter because God had made a promise, and God was going to fulfill that promise, and the miracle of birth was going to happen because God was intervening. God will intervene in your life, in your circumstance, in your situation, if you will trust him. There are people who need the Lord. There are people you know who don't know him. Will you take it as your personal responsibility to share the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus with those who don't know him, but who could, if you tell them how, tell them to admit they've sinned, to believe in Christ, to confess him publicly. And Abraham said to God, "Oh that Ishmael might live before you." In Genesis 17-18, New King James Version, Abraham doubted God. He didn't really believe that Sarah was going to give birth to a baby. He had no idea that what God had told him was totally true. He couldn't comprehend it. He couldn't fathom the fact that God is God. Do you know that God is God in your life, in your heart, in your circumstance? Do you know that God is willing to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think? Are there people who you know that you say there is no hope for him, there is no hope for her? But there is hope, where there is life there is hope, and the truth needs to be told. Here it is, the gospel. Christ died for our sins. He was buried, and he rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures. Tell that gospel story to someone who needs to know, tell them to admit that they have sinned, to believe on the Lord Jesus, to stand up and be counted for him to understand that God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that if they would trust him, believe on him. They could have life that lasts forever. Listen to the conversation between Abraham and God in Genesis 17-19, New King James. Then God said, "No, Sarah, your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him." There comes the promise, following the promise. Isaac was going to be born. Isaac was going to again be the one that God was going to allow to bring forth sons and daughters, and repopulate the earth in a fantastic, marvelous way. God loved you as much as he loved Abraham, and Sarah, and Isaac, and later Jacob, and all of his sons. God has a perfect plan for you, different than what he had for them, but a perfect plan nonetheless. Are you in tune with the Lord? Ask him to show you his will for your life, and then follow through. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, you present your bodies a living sacrifice, wholly acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. God is reasonable, just, compassionate, and caring. He has a plan just for you. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in 1st through 5th grades is available in a separate area. For more information, call 812-867-2418, or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Next Tuesday, September 20, you and your church youth group and friends are invited to a Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth Event at 7.27 p.m. at Triple T. We are located 4 miles north of Evansville Regional Airport, 4 miles south of Interstate 64. And for 1 hour and 3 minutes, fast-paced and action-packed with icebreaker involvement, inspiration, and impact. We'll move to the invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and a Romans 12-1 and 2 commitment by believers. Free food will follow. You can be on your way home by 9 p.m. Please be with us if you possibly can. Be praying and know we are here for you. And you are invited to a complimentary lunch at noon Wednesday, September 21 at Triple T. You and your fellow Christian workers, especially youth workers, are invited to take advantage of an opportunity to hear and meet Vernon Brady. Triple T is privileged to host youth workers' intensive training sponsored by Youth of Vangism Association. The theme is impact your community for Christ. Vernon Brady will present my friendship connection, mobilizing your church for a great day of outreach. Dr. Elmer Towns and Vernon have developed my friendship connection and Vernon will share the concept and the possibilities. When you look at your world, start with a friend. One determined person can make a significant difference, but a small group of determined people can literally change the course of history. The history of free man is never really written by chance, but by choice. There is a time when we must firmly choose the course we will follow. Or the relentless drift of events will make a decision for us. Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in that my house may be filled. Luke 1423. And Deuteronomy 31.12 says, "Gather the people together, the men, the women, the children, and thy stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear, that they may learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law." My friendship connection is Bible-based. It's an evangelism strategy and process designed to engage large numbers into an army or team for the purpose of reaching, evangelizing, and winning friends to Jesus Christ. The wonderful thing is that there are people out there who need the Lord and they can be reached by you if you will reach out to them. So that's why I invite you to come this coming Tuesday evening, 727 at triple T. If you can't possibly make it Tuesday, then come Wednesday for lunch. If you can't do that, then come next Saturday at 727. We're going to have a group of people from across the country that will be with us. 20 or 30 of them are going to be here and they're going to be sharing where they're from, where they're going, and what they have just experienced. So don't miss Saturday night and be with us. In fact, you can even come tonight if you want to and meet some of these people. We want to let you know that God has laid on the heart of Dr. Elmer Towns, a vision to have the greatest day of evangelism that the churches in America have ever seen. He says, "Let's have the biggest one-day harvest of souls in church history. We can reach and win more people to Christ in one day than has ever been done before if we all work together. My friendship connection is a proven evangelistic tool that every church can use, large or small, city or rural, north or south, east or west. It's proven because 47,000 churches have used its predecessor, Friend Day. It's proven because a doctoral research candidate examined over 5,000 churches and found when a church carefully follows these directions. It can win and keep approximately 14% of visitors of a special Friend Day. It is also proven in over 200 churches that have used this material that's going to be presented Wednesday at noon at Triple T. Vernon says this, "Research continues to pour out that reveals. Churches in North America are the most isolated from the unconverted to Christ we have ever seen in history. Yet at the same time, although contrary to popular opinion, it is clear these same folk are the most receptive to the gospel that they have ever been in history. Tom Reneer, from Lifeway Publications, made that statement after a great deal of research. The strategy is simple, yet profound. Inviting someone you know, a friend, will always give you the highest return on effort. Follow the plan and mobilize all those you know for the vision of reaching friends for Christ. Let the excitement flow and ask God for something big, really big. We are moving toward harvest happenings here at Triple T. We're putting all the preparations together this week at the Youth Worker's Intensive Training and then we're going to move into action from the 1st of October through the 31st of December. The harvest happenings are going to take place. We're going to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. We're going to go out where God opens doors and we're going to go into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in that this house, Triple T, might be filled, Saturday by Saturday, and especially as we move toward the weekend of 11/11/11. That's a Friday night and the night following Saturday, November 12. We're excited about the people that we are inviting to come to share. We're excited about the people that are going to be helping make this happen. And we're excited about all the preparations that are going to take place this week. And again, you are invited. Don't forget, you can come tonight. You can come Tuesday at 727. You can come next Saturday or you can even come and meet us at noon on Wednesday for lunch to meet person-to-person Vernon Brady, who with Dr. Elmer Towns has put together my friendship connection. How to mobilize for a great day of outreach. And the day that we have set for our largest outreach ever of adults is God willing, here at Triple T, on Friday, November 11, 2011. Just remember, 11/11/11. And then the next night, we're going to be putting together another outstanding evangelistic youth effort. And we're going, meanwhile, across the tri-state, every place God opens doors. And we're going to continue on through Thanksgiving, moving through Christmas, and then to the very special happening that we call "Like the Night" on New Year's Eve. It starts at 7.27 p.m. on the 31st of December. It goes through 7.27 a.m. on Sunday, New Year's Day, with a pancake breakfast. And then everybody goes to church in Sunday school to start the year right. Again, we're thrilled about the people that God is putting into this building in the next few days. And we hope that you will be praying with us and for us. We're looking forward eagerly to those that will be with us tonight. They've just gone through a hike across the Appalachian Trail, over 20 of them, and they're going to be sharing this evening at Triple T at 7.27. And then, beginning on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, the Youth of Anuses Association Convention gets underway. Tammy Dooms will be sharing the President's report, sharing what God has done, and anticipatory about what He's going to do in the days ahead. They were moving to that youth rally on Tuesday evening, and again, the luncheon on Wednesday. We have people coming in from across the country. They're coming from Pennsylvania. They're coming up from Florida. They're coming across from North Carolina. They're coming down from Michigan. They're coming over from Missouri. And God helping us, we're going to have a wonderful, wonderful happening. And you, in the Tri-State area who are listening, are invited to come and participate and learn, and then take back home ways that you can impact your community for Christ. We're going to have a smorgasbord of ideas and opportunities for you to learn about and then to put into effect where you live. Again, people are coming here from everywhere, and they are experts in their field of development, of Christian communications. It's really great fellowship time, but it's wonderful to sit at the feet of these people who have had so much experience. Bob Bland, the founder, director of Teen Missions International, with actual bases in 23 nations and sending kids in the summertime out around the world will be here sharing from his heart. George Kal is coming down from Pennsylvania, talking about all kinds of ways to use fine arts for the furtherance of the gospel of the Lord Jesus. Todd Burden is coming up from North Carolina, talking about how to use basketball as an outreach. He calls it in-bounds ministry. And on it goes as person after person comes to open their heart and to share their expertise with you and those who will be with us. So come tonight, don't miss it, it's going to be great. Have you received your New King James Bible? It's free, and it's for you. People from across the country have requested and received their copy of the New King James version of the Bible with a picture on the cover of the Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ billboard that you see driving to and from hither and yawn on the busiest highways in the area. It has the website at the bottom, tttchristianyouth.org. On the back is a picture of the Triple T building, a map on how to get here, and an invitation to come at 7.27 p.m. every Saturday, including tonight. Now you can come and get yours live and in person tonight, and we'll give it to you if you're a first-time Saturday night attender. It's yours, whether you're an adult or a 10 to 19 year old or something in between, whatever you are, you can have your free Bible. And if you can't come, all you have to do is call us and we'll put it in your hands by mail. And we'll mail it on Monday directly to you. All you have to do to get yours is to call Area Code 812-867-24. Again, to get your free Bible, call Area Code 812-867-2418. We've only had one request from Southern Illinois, but another request from places like Michigan and Wisconsin and South Dakota and Pennsylvania and Ohio and on and on. And so we want you to have your copy of the New King James Bible. It's free. All you have to do is come and get it tonight, or Tuesday night, or Wednesday noon, or next Saturday, or just call and request it, and we'll put it in the mail to you the first of the week. It's free, and it's for you. On the inside front cover is God's ABCs. On the inside back, God's Top 10, the Ten Commandments, with much information in the Word of God that can help your heart be warmed toward the Creator of the universe. It's yours for free. Liberty Christian Youth Ministries has been privileged to give thousands of these Bibles to people over the past few months and years, and we're about to order a bunch more. But we have some now available to you right now. You can get it tonight, or Tuesday, or Wednesday noon, or next Saturday, or call. Here we go, 1-2-867-2418. We really would like to hear from you. Brooklyn Christian Youth Ministries does an event every Saturday night, and we have each Saturday without exception for 45 years, plus. We have a group of the world's greatest teenagers that we call Tiger Team. Tiger means teens involved going evangelizing regularly. Today, we're in the midst of pure evangelism training here at Triple T, and it happens at least once a month. Project Proclaim is how we share the Gospel through these Bibles that we're distributing, through little reproductions of the billboards, through the billboards themselves, through the radio broadcast that now goes out daily, twice, every day, on 34 stations in 10 states across the country. We have evangelistic youth efforts that happen in community after community. Fair share happens in the summertime. This last summer, we were in 10 different counties, sharing God's Word, sharing the Gospel, giving away free ice water, and one-on-one talking to over 1,500 different people, and saying 268, saying yes to Jesus Christ. Again, you can have a part of all of this. The Board of Directors of Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries invites you to become a Tiger teammate. When you give $20, you provide a scholarship for one of the 10 to 19-year-olds to come and be trained in pure evangelism. If you give $20 a month, you then become a Tiger team enlarger. And those who give $100 a month and thank the Lord, we have a few that do this. They are becoming what we call Tiger teammate expanders. And we are expanding our territory. We're reaching out to more and more people all the time. This last few months, we were in counties where we haven't been previously, sharing God's good news, and going back to those where we have been on other occasions. We want to come where you are, and we want you to know that we invite you to come where we are. Again, we want you to have one of our Bibles. It's free, it's for you. To get yours, simply call Area Code 812-867-2418. Check the web tttchristianyouth.org. Know that as you pray, and as you give whatever God leads you to, that you can have a part in a ministry that is reaching literally hundreds and hundreds of youth every day. Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27pm, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Booneville in Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in 1st through 5th grades is available in a separate area. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. For your free copy of The Telling the Truth newsletter, call 812-867-2418, 812-867-2418, or write Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North, Evansville, Indiana, 477-25.
