[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. Abram and Sarah had problems, and then Sarah and Hagar had more problems, but God intervened. Listen to Genesis 1616, New King James Version. So Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram named his son, whom Hagar bore Ishmael. And here you have it. The world is going to be totally different now because of this son that had been born. God always allows people to do wrong if they are determined to do so. But God will always straighten out the wrong in ways that please him. And yet sin always has a penalty. There is always a price to be paid when we move ahead of God. When we don't wait on the Lord, God wants us to trust him totally. He wants us to wait if waiting is the best thing to do. God has a plan for you. He has someone that you can share Christ with, if you will, if you really know Him. Will you go to somebody today? Pray with a Christian friend. Read God's Word. Take the gospel, tell people, individuals, specifically how each can go to heaven. Let them know Christ died, was buried, and rose again for them. Do you believe that age is important, or that age is really relative? Listen to Genesis 17 1, New King James Version. When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God. Walk before me, and be blameless." That was what God requested. If God asks you no matter what age you are right now to walk with him, and to be blameless, would you be willing? Are you willing to say, be, and even become? All that God would be pleased to happen through you and because of you for the furtherance of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? I hope that you are willing to wait on the Lord, and then ready when God moves and says, "This is my plan. Pursue it now." Yes, there are people waiting to hear about Jesus Christ living perfectly, dying, being buried, and rising from the grave, coming into the hearts of everyone who will open to him and be willing to believe. There is somebody waiting for you to tell that story. Will you? Pray. Share with other believers. Look into God's Word, put it in your heart, and don't keep it there, but expose it to those who need the Lord. When God speaks, are you willing to listen? God talks to us today through His inspired, holy, infallible Word. It's called the Bible. Do you have one? Are you reading it every single day? Are you doing what God says to do? Are you listening to what He asks of you and from you and is willing to do for you? Are you praying? Are you fellowshipping with other believers? Listen to what happened as God visited Abram and gave him these words. Genesis 17-2, New King James Version, "And I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly." What a promise. What an expectation Abram must have had from that moment forward not knowing what God was going to do nor how He was going to do it, but just being assured of the fact that God had visited him and given him this fantastic promise. The Bible is filled with promises and they can all be applied to your life and mind if we will be in tune with the Lord. If you aren't, get in tune now. Say, "God, make me usable and use me for your glory." Pray with a Christian friend, read God's Word, take the gospel to someone now. Then Abram fell on his face and God talked with him, saying, "As for me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations." Genesis 17-3 and 4, New King James Version. Yes, when we fall on our face before God, when we are willing to humble ourselves and seek God's face, God will provide and He will prevail and He will present to you and to me opportunities and things too fantastic for us to even imagine. Yes, God has a plan for you and for me and for every other believer in Christ. We need to bow before Him. And then we are in position to listen to what He has to say. When God speaks through His Word to your heart, open it. Do what He says to do. The Bible says God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come the repentance. Are you doing something about the people who are perishing and who will perish until and unless they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you willing to pray? To read God's Word, to fellowship with other believers, to take the gospel together to people one by one who need Jesus? I hope you are. I hope you will. Name change. Listen to what is about to be promised and know that it can happen in your heart and life if you are willing to avail yourself of every possibility that God has for you. Or maybe not to the degree, certainly not to the degree that happened here. Listen to the miracle working God, Genesis 17-5, New King James Version. "No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations." Some have said that that's the understatement of the centuries. Certainly God moved in immediately. And He did what only God could do, and because Abram's willingness to listen to the Lord, God did something so special that medical science has never been able to explain it. But God did it. Later we find in the New Testament Saul's name was changed to Paul because again he was being made usable and used of God to impact the world. Name changes are very rare, even in Scripture, but very significant indeed. What is your name? Do you have a good name? Are you using what God has entrusted to you for His glory? The Bible is packed full of miracles. There are times when God moves in, in unexplainable ways, and here is one. He is continuing His encounter with the man formerly called Abram with the new name Abraham. Listen, "I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you." Genesis 17-6, New King James Version. Isn't that really something? To know in advance what was going to happen because God is omniscient, and God is omnipotent, and God simply told Abraham what was going to happen in many, many days, and years, and decades, and centuries to come. God has a perfect plan for every person. He has a plan for you. He has a plan for me. For some reason, He is connecting us today so that you can hear this message from the Word of God. Read your Bible, heed your Bible, and then tell people what your Bible says that Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, that He rose again on the third day. Tell someone today that they can know Him personally, they can be saved. God is a long-range planner. God doesn't hesitate to let us know what He is capable of doing, what He is willing to do, and what He is going to do. Genesis 17-7, New King James Version, lets us in on something very, very special. Listen, "And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you." Genesis 17-7 really lets us glimpse at God's greatness. I want you to know that He has a plan for you too. He has something that you can do that only you can do. There are people out there who are waiting to be told that Jesus Christ died for their sins, that He was buried, that He rose again, and He wants to give them new life, abundant life, everlasting life. Have you received God's gift to eternal life? Have you admitted that you have sinned? Have you turned to Jesus from your sins? Have you believed? And are you telling other people? I hope that you are a believer, and I hope that if you are, that you will do something about those folk you know who don't know Him. Will you pray with a friend who is a Christian? Will you read God's word together? Will you then go with the gospel? Every Saturday at 7.27pm you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Harvest of Angelism. Harvest Possibilities. When I was a freshman at Greenville Illinois College, the book "Soul Winners Fire" by John R. Rice grabbed my heart. While I was back at Greenville, Dr. Rice was presenting ten lectures at Bob Jones University, February 16-24 1950. In September 1950 they were published in a book titled "We Can Have Revival Now." The book was required reading as I transferred to Bob Jones that fall. In the forward, Dr. Bob Jones Jr. writes, The administration of Bob Jones University is not satisfied for the institution to be merely orthodox and evangelical. It is our desire that it shall be aggressively evangelistic in its testimony and in its witness for Jesus Christ. From the very outset, Triple T's distinctives are, 1, aggressively evangelistic, 2, Bible-leaving, 3, Church-connected, aggressively evangelistic. In the first chapter of his book, Dr. Rice quotes Matthew 6, 36 through 38 reiterated here in the New King James Version. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labors into his harvest." Rice says, "Oh, if only he had spirit filled and prepared workers to teach them, win them, save them." Bible-believing. Dr. Rice continues, "After these twelve had been sent out to preach and teach and heal, Jesus appointed seventy other workers and told them the same thing." "After these things, the Lord appointed other seventy also and sent them two by two before his face into every city and place where he himself was about to go." Then he said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labors into his harvest. Go your way, behold I send you out as lambs among wolves." Luke 10, 1-3, New King James Version. The twelve were gone forth to preach, but these are not enough. The harvest truly is great, but the trouble is with the laborers. Again, these seventy are commanded. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth labors into his harvest. These were only new converts. They were not even grown sheep. They were only lambs, but Jesus said, "Behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves." They were all he had, and with yearning heart, he sent these new converts out to wind soles. Again, we see that there was no trouble with the harvest. The trouble was with the laborers. God had a man power shortage then, and he has one now. Church connected. Jesus speaks on this same theme the third time. My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to finish his work. Do you say there are still four months and then comes the harvest? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields for they are already white for harvest. And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. John 4, 34, 35, 36, New King James. Dr. John R. Rice writes, "All these scriptures should burn in our hearts, for they are applicable today as they were when Jesus uttered these principles, thrice repeated." Working with and through the pastors, youth workers, and concerned Christians affiliated with Bible believing, local churches has always been a triple T distinctive. Since summer surge began April 30, triple T has co-labored with tri-state congregations and their leaders. We've taken teams to minister in local church facilities. Youth and adults from many local churches have attended triple T events. Pastors and youth workers from tri-state churches are endeavoring to follow up in the cycle, some of the 300 plus who have made the decision to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ at county fairs, street festivals, other events, and our triple T Saturday nights. Harvest happenings beginning Saturday October 1 and continuing through Saturday December 31, New Year's Eve light the night, will focus on communicating Christianity to and through teenagers. As more adult coaches and youth come to triple T for pure evangelism training, the harvest can continue. Proverbs 6, 6 through 8, New King James Version, paints a picture that should serve as a marvelous motivator. Go to the aunt, you sluggered. Consider her ways and be wise, which, having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest. The following verses let us know it is time to get up and get going with the gospel. We then, as workers together with him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For he says, "In an acceptable time, I have heard you. And in the day of salvation, I have helped you. Behold now, as the accepted time. Behold now is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6, 1 and 2, New King James. The reason for the youth workers' intensive training, sponsored by the Youth of Vansism Association and held by triple T, is to impact community by community for Christ. Impact your community is being presented by front lines and behind the scenes, excited, effective, experienced leaders from across America. Arquino Speaker invited is Richard F. Capen, the Senior Vice President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Basic and advanced sessions include biblical insights, leadership, principles, interactive involvement, current youth issues, trends and statistics, foundations for effective youth evangelism, creative outreach possibilities, using online and social media effectively, peer evangelism, performing arts ministry, sports ministry, purity, public relations, legal issues, women in ministry, building a volunteer team, short-term missions, accounting and finance, funding youth ministry, equipping local church youth workers. Triple T is the Christian Communication Center, training and sending gospelizers into all the world. The Tiger Team Impact Action Packet is being received and prayerfully implemented in at least 40 states and 4 Canadian provinces, and it will soon be available to you too. Pray and invite other believers where you live to pray with you. Together claim your community for Christ. Jesus says, "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them." Matthew 18 verses 19 and 20, New King James. When you are ready, get your Tiger Team Impact Action Packet. You can then receive keynote, that's K-E-Y, Keep Evangelizing Youth, online every week from October 1 forward. You can be a Tiger Teammate Encourager, how? By investing just $20. You can be an enlarger by investing $20 or more monthly. Or you can be a Tiger Teammate Expander, investing an average of $100 or more each month. Did you know that by doing this and by praying that you can be a part of something extremely significant? We sit here in our studio talking with you, and we're delighted that we have this connection. But this is only one of the outreaches that we have put together. We call it Project Proclaim. Our public relations outreach includes billboards. They are seen by literally thousands of people, 24/7. And we're excited about the people that pass by and say, "Every time I see a billboard, I pray." We're thrilled about the fact that we've been able to put thousands of Bibles between 8 and 9,000 or more now in the hands of 10 to 19 year olds, and we're about to receive 2 or 3,000 more, getting ready to give them out one by one. We're thrilled about the teenagers that are putting God's plan of salvation in their backpacks and having them ready to share at school on campus with their friends. We're delighted that we're a part of, see you at the poll, which will happen Wednesday, September 28 at 7 a.m. at flag polls on campuses worldwide. We've been a part of this since almost the very, very beginning. And so when you pray and when you give, you're a part of all of this and far, far more. So let us hear from you, will you? Stay tuned. We're going to give you more information about you and your involvement possibilities. We're looking forward eagerly to hosting the Youth Evangelism Association National Convention and the Youth Workers' Intensive Training, September 20, 21, and 22. Triple D Christian Youth Ministries continues every Saturday night. And tonight will be a time of more people getting together. One week from tonight, we should be having the entire student body of the BMW. That's Bible, Missionary, Work, Training Center for Merritt Island, Florida, coming with us. They'll be with us for two Saturdays, the 17th and the 24th of September. Every Saturday night that happens here, Tiger Team. Teens involved, going evangelizing regularly, are saluted as they earn points and achievement awards are presented Saturday by Saturday. Peer evangelism training happens at least monthly. And the next one is coming up Saturday, September 17. Did you know that when you invest $20 that you provide a scholarship for peer evangelism training for one of the world's greatest teenagers and our youth workers? And Project Proclaim continues every day, 24 hours a day. We're on radio across America, and we are having the privilege of getting the Gospel out through every means and media possible. Evangelistic Youth Events, Tuesday, September 20, 727, here at Triple T. A music ensemble from St. Louis will be with us. Very special people from Youth Evangelism Association will be on board, and a report on fair share will be presented. We're expecting the board of directors to come to be with us from lots of places. Timothy Dooms lives here, and she's the president. Robert M. Bland, the Vice President, is from Merritt Island, Florida. Linda Mahard, the Secretary, from Florida and Cameroon, Africa. She's planning to come. George Cal Trager is from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and he's signed up and ready. Todd Burton is coming from North Carolina. I'll be here, God willing. Blair Hames is coming from Florida. Lehemoke from Michigan. Mike Caine from Ohio. And Peter Malick from Pennsylvania. These wonderful Christian leaders are coming together to share and to learn how to communicate Christianity effectively. And we want you to know that you certainly are invited, especially on that Tuesday night, the 20th of September, 727. And it'll be over at 830, and then refreshments afterward. We want you to prayerfully consider being a Tiger teammate to keep all these things happening. We're moving forward as God leads guides and directs, and we want you to know that as you pray and as you give, God can do something special. He has, and he will continue. We want you to, please, be praying. I want you to know a little bit more about the Youth of Hands of Association. Our goal is to actively and responsibly reproduce the life of Christ with teenagers. To boldly share the gospel, to win their unsaved peers to Christ, to consistently study the Bible with a view toward spiritual maturity. Again, we're endeavoring to share how to impact your community for Christ. We've been doing it for 45 years, out across the tri-state. And what a thrill. When somebody comes up and says, "George, I'm now the pastor of a little church that I used to attend and started to attend when I came to Triple T." And it was there at Triple T and through Triple T that I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. We have other pastors and youth workers and missionaries and people serving the Lord worldwide who came to Christ or dedicated their lives to the Lord through our ministry. Now we have some that started out serving the Lord and then have drifted away and they let the world creep in. Pray for them that they'll come back first to their senses and then to the spiritual opportunities that prevail. Will you pray and will you give and help us move forward for the glory of the Lord? Again, we're looking forward to having you with us. If it all possible, you can even come tonight, it would be a great thing to have you among us. But know this, Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boonville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for those in 1st through 5th grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org.
