(♪♪♪) You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Abraham had done what God instructed. He made specific sacrifices. But even when we follow God's directions, when we do precisely what the Lord wants us to do, trouble can come. Listen to Genesis 1511, New King James Version. And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abraham drove them away. We have to take things into our own hands when problems occur. When there are those that attack, we have to be on the defensive, and we have to be sure that we are doing what God would have us to do the way He would have us to do it. Are you in tune with the Lord today? Have you prayed today? Have you read God's Word today? Have you had fellowship with other believers today? Have you thought about folk who don't know Jesus yet? Are you doing something to reach out to those who need to know Him, whom to know are right as life eternal? The Lord Jesus Christ. Are you living for Him? Are you keeping others from harm? Are you yourself putting on the whole armor of God? It's the only way to live. Do it on a daily basis. Read and put into effect. Ephesians chapter 6. You won't go wrong, you will go right. The Bible is very explicit when it lets us know how God took care of Abraham, protected him and caused him to be his servant. But it is not always pleasant. Listen to Genesis 15, 12, New King James. Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abraham and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. It was a very special message from God directly to Abraham. God wants you and me to listen carefully to what He has to say. Sometimes He speaks through troubles. Sometimes He speaks through circumstances. But most of the time He speaks through His Word. Are you in tune with the Lord? Are you listening to Him? Are you going to do what He says to do? Are you going to accomplish what He wants you to accomplish? Do you have compassion on those people who are lost? Those who don't know Christ? Are you sure you know the Lord? And have put your trust in Him personally. If so, tell someone. Read God's Word. He's God's Word. And go with the Gospel. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and He rose again on the third day. Tell someone now. Because Abraham was so special to God, because God wanted Him to be aware of what was going to take place in the future, God gave Abraham a special message. Genesis 15, 13, New King James Version. Then He said to Abraham, "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them 400 years." Devastating predictions, disturbing prophecies, and God wanted Abraham to be aware. God puts warnings in His Word for you and me too. He wants us to understand that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord. When we comprehend the necessity of turning to Jesus from our sins, asking Him to forgive us, trusting Him completely without reservation, God will grant to us eternal life. Oh, there may be problems along life's pathway, but God will protect us eternally. Will you tell someone how they can know that they are headed for heaven to admit that they have sinned, to believe on Christ, to confess Him publicly? Someone needs to hear that message today. Will you tell them? Genesis 15, 14, New King James Version provides Abraham with the ultimate outcome of what was going to take place for his descendants many, many years hence. Listen, "And also the nation whom they serve, I will judge. Afterward, they shall come out with great possessions. God's promises will always be fulfilled. Sometimes we want them to happen immediately, but God has a timetable that is perfect. He has a place for you to serve Him. He has a day, an hour, a moment of truth to reveal to you. Are you in tune with the Lord today so that you can listen to Him? So you can do what He has for you to do so you can pray and ask Him to give you the guidance that only He can? And are you fellowshiping with other people who believe the Bible? Those who are totally committed to Christ? Together, you can make a difference in the lives of people who need to know the Lord. Will you? It's a decision that only you can make. It is a commitment that comes from your heart and then takes action. You have to provide the wherewithal and the stick-tut of this to go get Him. Now as for you, you shall go to your Father's in peace. You shall be buried at a good old age. Genesis 15-15, New Kings James Version. God wanted Abram to know that he had a plan for him. He was going to live a long time and he was going to accomplish things for the Lord that only God knew. God has a plan for you too. He knows how long you're going to live. He knows where you're going to go, when? And if it will follow His directions, it will be wonderful in your future. Are you reading God's Word? Are you listening to what He has to say to you? For a long, long time, it's been my opportunity and I call it a personal responsibility to start my day with the proverb of the day. There are 31 chapters in the book of Proverbs and 31 maximum days in any month. By reading the proverb of the day every day, I am able to listen to the Lord in a very special way to get words of wisdom directly from Him. God's Word is quick and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword. God will guide you through His Word if you will read it and then heed it. It's up to you. God has a plan for you, but He wants you to know and follow His instructions. They're available in this book called The Bible. Read it. "God's plan for you and for me involves other people." Interactions. We need to be where He wants us to be, doing what He wants us to do, fellowshiping and having relationships with those people who would please Him. Listen to Genesis 15, 16, New King James Version. "But in the fourth generation, they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete. Yes, other people have problems and God wants us to know that we are here for a purpose, not just for ourselves, but also for the folk with whom God wants us to interact. On the basis that would please Him most. Are you willing? Are you available? Are you reading the Word of God? Are you fellowshipping with Christians and together? Are you determining how to be Christian communicators of God's truth? Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. It's up to you. It's up to me to tell people about Jesus. Jesus Christ is truth. And He said, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." Will you tell the truth today? God had instructed Abram what to do, and Abram followed God's instructions. Listen now to what happened afterward. Genesis 15-17, New King James says, "And it came to pass when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold there was a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces." Yes, God's timing is perfect, and He wants to accomplish things when only He knows the outcome will be pleasing to Him. Sometimes we are puzzled, perplexed, and we say, "Why, Lord? Things happen, and we don't understand." But the Bible says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8-28. That's a total truth. It's not some things. It's not most things. It's all things that work together. So be sure that you are reading God's Word, heeding God's Word, talking to the Lord, and asking Him for the guidance that only He can give. Remember, God's purpose is perfect. Get in tune with Him now. And so we want you to know that your prayers and support will help sustain every aspect of this ministry. We need you to be a Tiger Teammate. By giving $20, you become an encourager. $20 or more monthly makes you an enlarger and $100 or more monthly makes you an expander. We want you to know that you can make a vast difference. Check the website, TTTChristianYouth.org. Get all the information, download it, and participate. Why are we having this youth worker's intensive training? Today's culture is devastating. Younger and younger youth are being tempted again and again and absolutes are missing in action. Following John 3, 16, the best known and most off-quoted first in the New Testament, Jesus continued, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but He who does not believe is condemned already because He has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation that the light has come into the world and men love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God." John 3, 17 through 21, New King James. In Romans 5, 18 through 21, Paul explained, "Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men resulting in condemnation, even so, through one man's righteous act, the free gift came to all men resulting in justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners. So by one man's obedience, many will be made righteous. Or over the law entered that the offense might abound, but where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. So does sin reign in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The gospel changes lives, rearranges conditions, makes people different than they were before they responded to God's plan of salvation. And we're training people how to do this. The entire student body of the Teen Mission Center National BMW Training Center, BMW is not a car, but it stands for Bible Missionary Work Training Center are coming to this Youth Workers Training Conference. And it's going to be great to have them here from all over America and beyond. And I hope that you will make sure that you are at least considering and contemplating being with us. We want you to know that you can be a Tiger teammate as we said before. It takes a team. Many adults assist with special projects and events. Collegiate staff, high school student staff, middle school task force, help with Triple T Saturday nights, the Tiger Team Impact events, leading youth training, and other activities. Our executive board, John M. Dunne, chairman, Ora Johnson, vice chairman, myself president, Tammy, vice president, Jeff Mobley, Frank Schulteis, Dr. Jeff Selby, Carol Youngs, invite Christian adults willing to invest time and talent and treasure to join them, to join us as Tiger teammates. Mary and I founded Triple T, as I said earlier, in 1966, was originally organized as tri-state Youth for Christ. I'm a native of Mount Carmel, Illinois, attended Greenville College, graduated from Bob Jones University, and received an honorary doctorate from Georgetown College. Served with Gospel Advertising Association in Greenville, South Carolina, Youth for Christ International in Wheaton, Illinois, and word-incorporated in Waco, Texas, in communications and advertising. Co-founder of Youth of Amazon Association, spoken to teenagers and youth leaders all across America. We're hoping that you will be one of these very special Tiger teammates. Again, if you'll send $20, the first $20 that you send makes you an encourager and provides a scholarship to train somebody between the ages of 13 and 19 in pure evangelism. Our goal right now, between now and the 20th of September, is to train 40, pray, and be involved. If you wanna give $20 or more a month, you can become a Tiger teammate in larger. And those who give $100 or more monthly are an average of that become expanders. And we are expanding the ministry everywhere. We thank the Lord for what he's done, the doors that he's opened, but we need you to help us make all this transpire. Will you pray? Will you let us know that you're praying? Will you check the website and learn how you can be more involved? Find out everything you can about Triple T. We have no secrets and we certainly want you to be totally informed.
