Telling The TRUTH
042311 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Patience is a virtue. Noah had patience. Listen. And he waited yet another seven days. And again, he sent the dove out from the ark. Then the dove came to him in the evening. And behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth. And Noah knew that the water had abated from the earth. Genesis 8-10-11, New King James Version. Yes, God is indeed in charge. Wait on the Lord. He was in charge then? He is now. He will be tomorrow. Are you trusting the Lord with all of your heart? Are you waiting patiently for him? Or are you trying to move ahead of him and his will for your life? God wants you to be in tune with him. He wants you to read his word. He wants you to heed his word. He wants you to fellowship with other believers. He wants you to share your faith in him with those people who need to know him but don't. Will you determine right now to get a prayer partner and pray for someone or someone's who need the Lord in their lives? If you will, you can go with God's marvelous word. Noah's patience continues. Listen to Genesis 8-12, New King James Version. So he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove which did not return again to him anymore. That was proof that the land was being made ready for Noah and his family and the animals to depart from the ark in God's perfect timing. God has a perfect time frame for you too and for me. And he wants us to be listening to his word, abiding in him and following his directions. Are you? Have you? Will you? I believe that God wants each one of us to understand his love for man, his love for us, for you and for me individually, and because he loved us and he sent his son Jesus to die to be buried and to rise again, he wants us to share that truth with those people who have never heard why Jesus Christ really came to save sinners. There are people out there who have never heard who Jesus is or what he has done for them, but somebody has to tell them that someone could well be you this very day. Will you pray about going with the gospel? Share it now. And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month that the waters were dried up from the earth and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and indeed the surface of the ground was dry. Genesis 813, New King James, God's plan was being put into effect and Noah was being faithful. How about you? Are you faithfully following the Lord? Are you doing what he would have you to do? Are you reading his word? Are you in fellowship with other believers who also trust God's word? Together, pray for those who need to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. That God will be the redeemer for them so that they too can join the army of communicators of the truth that Jesus saves. Let's go today with the gospel into our world. Let's move from where we are to where we ought to be. Let's do it according to the will of the Lord. Let's be certain that we are doing the work of an evangelist personally, intimately, excitedly, and urgently. Will you take the challenge? Will you go the direction God wants you to quickly, forcefully, prayerfully? God bless you. Noah was following God's guidance. The last few hours we have experienced devastating thunderstorms, tornado alerts and warnings, and limbs and trees and signs being blown down, rifts torn off, all kinds of damages throughout the area where we live, but through it all, God protected us. We have been in an arc of safety. It was God's hand on us. What about you? Do you thank the Lord every time there is devastation around you, but you are not affected? Are you glad that God loves you so much that He puts His arms around you and draws you to Himself? Stay without ceasing, the Bible says. That means to be always in an attitude of prayer. Never go anyplace or do anything that you can't pray for God to bless that activity and you in the midst of it all. Are you praying for people today who really don't have the relationship with God that hopefully you have? Do you care enough to share God's glorious gospel with them? Do you sometimes wish that God would speak audibly to you just like He did to Noah? Listen to Genesis 8, 15, and 16 New King James. Then God spoke to Noah, saying, "Go out of the arc, you and your wife and your sons and your son's wives with you." Explicit instructions directly from the Creator of the universe. Yes, I would certainly try to do what God said if it was that clear, and I tried to do it anyway, do you? How do we hear God's voice today? He has promised to give us His loving care, but He has entrusted to us His Word, and today we have Bibles available. We have the opportunity of reading what God has written through those people that He entrusted to pen the Old and New Testaments. God's inspired, infallible Word is available to you and to me. This God does speak today in a still small voice if we will listen. He will direct us to the right scriptures at the right moment for the right purpose to follow His plan. I hope you will today understand that God has a plan for your life, and part of that plan is evangelism, telling others about Jesus. Will you? God's plans are precise and His procedures are very effective if we will follow His leadership. Listen to the instruction that God gave Noah, specific, detailed instruction. Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you, birds in cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth. Genesis 817, New King James. Yes, that was God's plan to protect Noah, his family, and all of those animals and creatures just so that procreation could continue in the world that God had created. Yes, Noah was important because he had an important assignment from God, a life-altering earth-saving, world-changing appointment. But God has special plans for you and me too. They may not be quite so dramatic, but they are very, very important, and God wants you and me to listen to Him and then to follow His directions. Will you do that? I hope you will. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. It's one thing to listen to God's direction, it's another thing to be obedient and follow through on what God is instructing you and me to do. Noah did. Jones at Genesis 818, New King James Version. So Noah went out and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him. God told him to leave the ark and he did. God told him to take his wife and his sons and their wives with him, and he did. What about you? Are you so in tune with the Lord that you are not only listening but also you are doing exactly what God would have you to do? He is not willing to any should perish, but that all should come through repentance. Are you helping people understand that Jesus loved them so much that He lived perfectly and then died of His own accord for their sins? Yes, He was nailed to a cross. Yes, He was crucified. Yes, He suffered agonizing pain, but He gave up the ghost. That means He was in charge to the last breath He drew and then was buried. God raised Him from the dead. God will do wonderful things for you through Jesus Christ if you trust in Him. Will you tell His story to every person you can as quickly as you can? Every Saturday at 7.27 PM you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for those in first through fifth grades is available in a separate area. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say rejoice. Let your gentleness be made known to all men. The Lord is at hand. anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate or think on these things. We have a lot to rejoice about. I want to give you a good report of things God is doing. The triple T team with Cowboy Lee Homoke, the first half of April, had the opportunity of going to seven counties in the tri-state, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. 17 opportunities to share the gospel, over 900 in aggregate attendance. Best news of all, 52 decided to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and at least 60 decided to share their faith on campus. We had teenagers and preteens trained at what we call Tiger Team 3G Challenge. 3G stands for God's Global Go and participated in the Hosanna Highway Drama. Hundreds of Bibles have already been distributed or in the process of being given to 10 to 19 year olds with a presentation of God's glorious gospel. I'm delighted that God is doing things in and through people like you and me. We have a focus here on the counties surrounding our headquarters, but we're not limited here. We are reaching out way beyond to county after county, state after state, and God willing in the days ahead. We will have the opportunity to go with the gospel to a whole lot of people to share who Jesus is and what He has done and what He wants to do. Our training program is essential. Teaching teenagers and preteens God's plan of salvation. What we call God's ABCs. "A" admit you've sinned, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3, 23. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 6, 23. Believe on Christ is be, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life, John 3, 16. See, confess Christ publicly, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes under righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10, 9 and 10, all these New King James Version quotes. Let me share with you that not only are teenagers and preteens memorizing God's Word, they are sharing it. Over 60 kids in the last few days have made the commitment to carry their Bible on top of their books on Wednesday to wear a Christian shirt with a Christian message and to be able to tell people on campus how they too can become children of God. God's working, our vision, every youth to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ by His or Her 20th birthday. In order to enhance this, billboards appear from place to place. We're just about to order 15 more that will be put out whenever there is space available. We are so thankful for this privilege of sharing the gospel this way. We use television and radio, newspapers and print. Speaking of print, these ABCs and a copy of the billboard with the message, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" and with the admonition that we are telling the truth to teenagers with the website, WWWTTChristianYouth.org and a picture of a group of some of the world's greatest teenagers with Christian flags unfurled. The flags of faith on the march. Over a hundred thousand of these are being printed in the next few days and will be distributed throughout the country, hopefully around the world. We're excited because of Tiger Team. Tiger means teens involved, going, evangelizing regularly. Team means together everyone accomplishes more. An impact means I must personally advance Christianity today. So we're putting together the key action plan. The key stands for keep evangelizing youth. We're doing evangelistic youth efforts and between the peg points of April 30 and October 1, we'll be going with the gospel to as many places as we possibly can, sharing the gospel with people and entrusting it to those who are being trained to go around the world through Teen Missions International. We'll be sharing with hundreds of teenagers in Florida. We'll be having people from all over the United States coming here and going with us to fair share. We are importing missionaries to America. They're coming to us from Indonesia and Korea and they will be going out to place after place, county after county, situation after situation, community after community, May 24 through June the 6th. We're excited because they're going to be using their cultural music. They'll be sharing their inspirational testimonies. They'll be doing all they can to share the stories of their countries, even using international puppets. Our mission to communicate Christianity to and through teenagers, to win them to Christ, train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches on their campuses, throughout their communities and in their world, wherever God leads them in their future. We're putting together what we call the Tiger Team 3G Challenge Saturdays and these are scheduled right now for May 7, May 14, May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20 and September 17. The middle Saturday is July 16. That's Jesus Christ change in the world summit. There we'll be having people coming from various places, sharing how to creatively communicate Christianity. We're excited about what God has already done and is doing right now and what we believe He's going to do in the days ahead. We're taking fair share out across three states at least between July 11 and August 13. We are bringing people here from Washington State and California and Connecticut and from Virginia and from Texas and from Florida and on it goes as people are coming together to be trained and then to go out with the gospel, working with teenagers from Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. God's opening door after door after door and we're excited about what He has done and is doing and is going to do and then following the outreaches that we call fair share at county fairs and street festivals. We'll be hosting the Youth of Angels Association annual convention and youth workers intensive training. September 20, 21 and 22 at Triple T Christian Youth Ministries located four miles north of the airport, four miles south of Interstate 64 at 13,000 US Highway 41 north at Booneville and Harmony Road. This annual convention will bring people in from places all over America and beyond. We're going to be telling them how to impact their community for Christ and we'll be endeavoring to put together a tiger team impact evangelistic youth effort right here at Triple T Christian Youth Ministries headquarters on Tuesday, September 20. We'll be sharing from front lines and behind the scenes excited, effective, experienced leaders from across America. Our keynote speaker that's been invited is Richard F. Capen, the Senior Vice President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Our basic and advanced sessions include biblical insights, leadership principles, interactive involvement, current youth issues, trends and statistics, foundations for effective youth evangelism, creative outreach possibilities using online and social media effectively, pure evangelism, performing arts ministry, sports ministry, purity, public relations, legal issues, women in ministry, building a volunteer team, short-term missions, accounting and finance, funding youth ministry, equipping local church youth workers. And so it is exciting to see people coming together and you're invited. We'll send you a brochure if you'll contact us. Check our website or call us now. Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say rejoice. Let your gentleness be made known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication. With thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. God's doing things, and this is the wonderful news. We have over 60 youth that this week are doing precisely that, and we're challenging more and more all the time to carry a Bible, to represent Jesus, to share their faith. I believe that God wants to do things that are way beyond our farthest expectations, as we have more teenagers willing to tell the truth to and through other teenagers as they get it in tune with the Lord. We invite you to be a part of all that we're doing. We invite you to be a Tiger teammate. Tiger means teens involved, going, evangelizing regularly. $20 makes you a Tiger teammate encourager. $20 a month, a Tiger teammate, enlarger, and $100 a month or more, a Tiger teammate expander.
