He was raised in the land down under where a man thinks on his feet, speaks with his fists, and lives by his wits. I'm done, D. Happen. He was a superstar. I'm probably drinking too much and celebrating too much and not sleeping. But I killed a normal man, but now that's gone. Medical advice I got from that was like being hit by lightning. Pretending it never happened. Get on with your life. Final three weeks, you can see the playoff anticipation. You know, it's going to be building up. It's probably going to be a better week than we think because we'll have certain teams, Jackie, for position. New 12 team playoff is going to be the greatest thing that college football has had since god damn YA Tittle. All right? It's going to be exciting. I am joined by my co-host, give it up for former. J.M. You Duke defensive back, the burrito eaten. Sad, lad, kiss, stealing, wailing and stealing. Patty see you in the place to be. Hi-oh, whoop. I mean, a couple more weeks of madness, folks. I'm excited for this. You know, starting to do team previews, we're already deep into the mountain west. By the time Friday rolls around, we'll be on the big 10. I mean, it is officially summer time now, so the summer countdown is on. Exactly. We've already got the previews for the entire SEC out. And majority of the mountain west. I am joined by a third man. We are joined by a third man in the booth. The DFS god himself with college football goes back around. We will always be releasing some nice DFS episodes. Give it up for the rooftop IPA drinking. Let's go. And shout out to Weahawk in the chat. Because I got to pick up my pace. Listen to these team previews. I'll be slack. And we talk 134. You got 134 hours of homework. Let's go. Gage says that NC Nick singing. Yeah, his voice is a combination of Fergie and Jesus. Yeah, you know, that is him. You know, if you're in the rally area, he is known to perform the Bosworth song at several places. Maybe a local coffee shop, you know. Anything, you know, singer, songwriter, acoustic and trade. He's out on the street with his guitar case open. Um, guys, another week of college football action here and look, there's not much. I mean, there's news, but there's not news, right? I mean, we finally ended the college baseball regular season and their, their coach, such a jackass. As he says, Texas A&M coach, it's like, I'm not taking another job of my, my career is meant to be here at Cal Station in the very next day. And 16 hours, he's the Texas long orange head coach. That's almost, that's almost intentional. That's almost just for the insult. You can't be that ready. Like, you have to have been in negotiations prior to that, right? Yeah. And he's such a dick to the reporter. And the reporter, the first thing I thought, well, I thought it was logical because he was previously the head coach in baseball at TCU and Texas's athletic director, Chris Del Conte, who came from TCU. So I thought the reporter was kind of asking a, a question that I think any of us would deduce saying, hey, any chance you're going to go, but work because A&M's got a new athletic director, Ross Bjork's leaving for Ohio State. So you would think, you know, it's a normal question to ask. And then he tears him up and says, I, my, my whole life's here. All right. It's my last job of my life, 16 hours later, Texas's coach, absolutely fucking ridiculous. Yeah. Don't feel sorry for Texas A&M. I mean, they very quickly. They poached from TCU. Like, they poached from TCU. I'll go really quickly. Yeah. Like I'll go left on a plane in the middle of the night, too. It happens, you know, I mean, I just find that it just adds to the rivalry. Yeah. I thought it was funny also that college football, the video games coming back, I'm very excited about that. I think, you know, even if you don't play it now, it's something that should be a part of, uh, to me, you're fandom growing up and cut with, we grew up with college football, the video helps you, helps you love the game. More helps you appreciate all the schools that just should always happen. They didn't release their top 25 toughest places to play. And I couldn't help but giggle at Texas A&M via number one, not that they don't have a great home crowd, but it made me think maybe they went to the highest bidder. Yeah. I couldn't believe they had Utah, like 15 or some shit and they're like, I mean, to me, Utah is a harder place to play than Texas A&M, but yeah, all the coordinated, uh, crowd chance you want doesn't make it necessarily a tough place to play. It doesn't hurt for sure, but yeah, hostility makes it a tough place to play. And at the end of the day, winning and losing, you know, is how you determine how tough a place is to play. I've been to a game there and the crowd's great. They do college football, right? But I think it's, I think I couldn't put it at number one, especially like, are we, are they paying attention to the record at home? Because app state went in there. You know, the game, I was at Ole Miss, waxed him. So I would put some other stadiums, like, I feel like Utah barely ever loses at home. I feel like Alabama barely ever loses at home. You know what I mean? Like there's, you know, that list is going to include a lot of SEC and Big Ten schools around the bat. So, but they weren't going to give it to Utah. No, I'm not saying Utah's deserving, but I was like, they're better than A&M. If you're putting A&M one, I'll take Utah against A&M all day. Yeah. Yes, don't get me started. My fond memories of playing NCAA football 2005 was starting up a program, George Mason University. It moved into the National Championship. Start your football program. God damn right. All right. Now we're talking. Now this is an episode. All right, George Mason, you hear me out there, you see it, all the success with James Madison. All right. They're basketball teams in the NCAA tournament. They're baseball teams solid. They're football teams doing good. And you're sitting over there like the cowards you are. If I can win a national championship at NCAA 05, then you can win a national championship in real life. You got the 12th team playoff. That could be you, George Mason, instead you're sitting around doing nothing with your life. Is there is there any other university that is the highest public school enrollment within their state that does not have a football team? I think they may be an anomaly, but it's great, great games, private, right? That's true. And they are on the stock market. Right. That's a great question, Patty. See, they have to be the only one. I mean, you would think so. Liberty. I mean, I don't know about New York. I guess maybe Albany has like, they still FCS at least George Mason said at the very least having FCS. Of course. Yeah. They can start. It's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Like university should be ashamed of themselves. All right. I was changed. I went there. Folks, I want to tell you, you're listening to the college football experience part of the sports gambling podcast network. Make sure to check out the sports gambling podcast as they've started their top 10 fantasy football preview series, the quarterbacks and tight ends episode are already out there and live and ready to listen to. It's never too early for the national football league to check it out. And remember as always, folks, too, let it ride. Right is time to draft. It's time to have some fun overall thoughts of the week before we get into it. NC Nick, your thoughts on this fine, fine week of football? Well, last week, I mentioned that there was only 50 total games where last year, there was 66 in week 11. This week, week 12 is basically the same thing. We only have 55 games. Last year, there was 68. So we're going to pick 30 games and we're going to pick more than half of the games. It's not the best week of college football. But what you said earlier is very true is that this is going to be meaningful for a lot of teams these last three weeks of the season because there's going to be a lot of teams still in the hunt for a playoff berth and a loss this week or next week might just kick out a team like, I don't know, Tennessee or something. So yeah, and also all these G five teams who have a shot at it. So yeah, that's reason alone to watch a lot of these games. Yeah, I agree. Patty, see what you make of the week doing the exercise. You know, a couple good games, but yeah, I mean, kind of lacking firepower and lacking depth. I don't want to be too hard on it. We're going to find out what makes these games fun. That's our job. I mean, half the time our job is to take a shit on the games when there are good games. We celebrate those. We take a shit on the bad games that we don't like when there aren't as many good games. We're going to find what makes it fun because college football at the end of day is supposed to be fun. And we're going to be watching the games also. So there's going to be reason why we're watching. So we'll just, you know, bring those to the light. I got the top pick and I'm feeling good about it. You can see next pick and what cleanup, Patty sees second. Let's go to it. I got the sweet ass graphics and everything, youtube.com/thecollegeexperience hop on over there, hit that like and subscribe button. Well, yeah, I kind of threw these together quickly, but I think I did nail number one right. Let me build you a scenario here. First off, what have I told you Arkansas has won five of seven against Texas? I would be surprised. That's accurate though. The last five of the last seven games Arkansas has won against Texas, right? Impressive. The only two wins for Texas coming in 2004 and 2008, right? So when that when Matt kind of had it rolling, they played in 2021 and Arkansas whoop that ass, our keys and zone one against these teams, their old southwestern conference rivals. And I'm going to build you another scenario here. I think pulled pork Pitman will be fired by now. And remember, if you watched when they hired value, patrino, that basketball game that followed, I think it was against Auburn, if memory shows me correct, the crowd chanted patrino. He was in attendance. We think I told you this that they fired him after 11 and two season for a little, a little dust up on the road, right? He's going to beat Texas. We're just assuming that he is the head man speculating if well to me, if you're getting if you're getting a standing O at the basketball game, they want you back. So to me, if you're fire and Sam pulled pork Pitman, which I think there's a decent shot he's going to be fired within the first or second by a week, who are you going to give it to? You're going to get the interim spot to the guy who got the standing O I would imagine, right? True. I mean, and here's, here's the other thing is if they, if he's not fired, it's because they're doing well with, uh, with everything, yeah, with, with patrino at the helm, you know, I mean, at the, as the OC. So either way you could anticipate that Arkansas will be hyped for this game. I mean, I don't think they even need, even if they're having a tough season, they'll probably be hyped. Um, so yeah, I mean, Texas coming to town, like you said, they've had that success against them. And then, uh, does, I in Texas, they have tough road trips to, or are they hosting Georgia? They are hosting Georgia, but it's the week after Red River shootout. They're at A and M, they're at Michigan. I mean, it's going to be hilarious because I think, I think personally, I think Arkansas and A and M are going to be in a position to potentially knock out Texas from the playoffs. Exactly. Cause I mean, so they say that they lose to Georgia and they drop one of the game to maybe get Michigan or versus Oklahoma. If you drop three games, if you go with nine and three, could that still potentially get Michigan into the playoff as an SEC team? Yes. But if you're a nine and three, you're on a shaky ground. So it was just three years ago when Arkansas beat Texas at Arkansas, uh, last year, they almost beat Alabama and Tuscaloosa. So you might look at their record last year and their conference record. It doesn't look that good. They weren't that far off. A lot of close losses. I think this is a very tricky road trip and Texas better watch out because if they do have a couple losses coming into this game, this is one that could potentially finish their season more or less. Well, that's the other thing too is that, you know, this is the third to last week, uh, mid, mid November, third to last week of the regular season and you're losing to probably not a great Arkansas team. I mean, if you're going to lose to a bad team, lose early, but if you're going to lose to a bad team late and it's going to give you that third loss, you're probably losing whatever mojo or like, uh, you know, support from the pollsters you might have to give you the, uh, the bump as a, as a nine and three playoff team. That goes out the window. So Arkansas probably has a pretty good chance, I think because two losses at this point in the season seems pretty likely for Texas, right? Uh, I mean, by, by this game after this game, yes, I would, I just because I think, yeah, I think it's very doable for them. Like Georgia, Oklahoma, Michigan, at Arkansas, um, those are loseable games and then they, we have a and M coming in two weeks for them. So I think three losses is very possible for, that's true, even if it, even, even if this is only their second loss, it puts them in great peril for their end of the season road trip against A and M. So well, and I don't know about you, but I got a and M note like that. I don't have a and M with more than three losses. So A and M would then have the tiebreaker to make the playoffs, the winner of that game or the loser of that game would definitely be not making it. The winner would have a decent chance maybe that makes it for all, all the, that's just perfect for that game to be back on the schedule. But folks, uh, look, before we get to Patti C's pick, I want to tell you that, uh, the college football experience is brought to my underdog fantasy pick eights now live, create entries is up to eight picks and underdog will automatically double flex entries so you can miss up the two picks and still win your entry with more picks to make and extra ways to win. I don't know if that's sarcasm or if you're just really saying that. Patty, see you're on the clock where you're taking this. It's appropriate that you're playing this music at the exact time that it's being played on the TV. So, I don't even know where the music is coming from, but I'll tell you this. Number two pick. I have it matching your big board here, Tennessee going to Georgia. I know these games have not been competitive, but the spot that Tennessee catches Georgia after Florida and a road trip to Ole Miss in consecutive weeks, they're taking two talented teams of best shots on consecutive weeks. They come home. I mean, do I think Samford Stadium is going to be lit for this? Sure. But Tennessee has a much easier slate with two winnable home games going into it, Kentucky and Mississippi State, both in Knoxville. So I think they're going to be well, and a bi-week before that. I think, well, Tennessee is going to be in good shape going into this Georgia game, and if they can catch them, then, you know, it could be a game changing game in the cosmopolitan game. Do you think? So, you know, they run the Josh hyper ones, the veer and shoot the Artbriels offense. Not necessarily the air raid, more of the more vertically does this work against Georgia because Georgia has fucking destroyed them. This is like the ceiling is like that you put the veer and shoot in, and you're going to beat a bunch of teams, you know, you're going to have winning seasons. But is there a cap on that because we've never really seen that offense win a championship. I'm just asking because look, and by the way, the closest game that I can, I mean, these have been some fucking ass whoa, 14 point game, you know, with Hendon Hooker at Athens two years ago. That wasn't a blowout. I mean, Georgia owned the game, but don't shoot touchdowns. Yeah. I feel like that was the best game for a long time, right? But I thought Tennessee scored those in the fourth quarter. I remember watching the game at a bar and like Georgia owned the game. It wasn't like necessarily a close game. Tennessee scored one of those in the fourth quarter. So yeah, Georgia definitely controlled the game, but they weren't that far off. I feel like if that game was in New Zealand, then it might have been that much closer. So really the question is what was Tennessee this year? Are they more like the 2022 Hendon Hooker team or are they more like last year the Joe Milton team? And that comes down to the quarterback. And that's a huge question. But this could be a game where if you're a Tennessee fan and you have a couple of losses coming into it, if you have any hope, you need to win this, you know, case you're wondering. Last year was a 28 point win in Knoxville by Georgia. It was a 14 point win the year Nick was talking about in 22. It was a 24 point win in Knoxville and 21 during COVID, it was a 23 point win in 19. It was a 29 point win in 18. It was a what 26 point win and in 17, it was a 41 point win. So some true ass whoopings every single one, two touchdowns or more. But I agree with you, you had to play it here just because of the potential before Georgia would get like Vanderbilt and Kentucky and stuff before it. Now I feel like the gauntlets a little harder, you're more susceptible to slip. Yeah, that's exactly it is. Maybe Georgia was able to really focus in and prep for a Tennessee in the past where now the SEC East isn't there for them, you know, and and maybe like we said, they got two tough games in a row. Now one thing that might benefit them is that Mississippi was just kind of running the same offense with levee at the helm. I know he just left, but or no, he left a few years ago, but they seem to have been running the same. Yeah, it seems like they're running a similar system. So I mean, it does the week of preparation for Ole Miss the week before prep them pretty well for Tennessee the following week, maybe. And it would be something new, like you said, if Tennessee is able to even compete in this game, especially in Georgia, but they're two good teams. So I think you've got to play it just based on the quality of the teams here. The other thing too, we should mention is that the Texas Arkansas game has already been set. It's a it's a noon kickoff, which makes it a little bit sleepy. So I would imagine even though we don't have a time for this, it's still TBD. This is either going to be your 330 or your prime time. They're probably going to based on this and the LSU Florida world game is more important. They'll probably move to a prime time. So Tennessee, Georgia eight o'clock Eastern time. I mean, come on. I'll be watching. Yeah. Let's see Nick. Where you going? All right. I'm going to go to a fake rivalry in the Pac 12. They tried to create it. They tried to make this a rivalry and it never really stuck, but yeah, it's right down your list too. Utah, Colorado, look, right? Same reasons that we just said for the first two games right now, Utah, it's the odds on favor to win the big 12 and go to the college football playoff now a loss in week 12 on the road to a Colorado team that might be 500 ish will not look good on that resume. And then I mean, come on, we still have coach prime and Colorado still must watch TV. So I think Utah at Colorado, if it was flipped, it was Colorado at Utah, and not so much. But this is a fascinating game. I mean, although, although Colorado at Utah last year was like a seven point game in both quarterbacks rail should or Sanders didn't play or can rising. But here's why it's going to be awesome in my opinion. First off, I think Colorado is a contender in the big 12, right? But I think everyone's a contender in the big 12, but the Holy Wars the week before that is why Colorado is in a great spot to win this game in Boulder, like Utah and BYU haven't played in a few years because of that. So that is, it's like Texas and Texas A&M being back on the schedule. The level of hatred and it's unavoidable if you live in the state. Now they see the Utah team lives in the state. So they're going to be hearing that shit all week. Now yes, does Dion put a, I'm sure they like, you know, they know the moment like they're Colorado's being talked about a shit ton, but I think it's one of the best spots on Colorado schedule to pull off an upset because coming off that Holy war and Utah, say what you want. Like we love Utah. I love Kyle Whittingham. His team on the road has always been way different than at home. So I can't wait to watch this one. Yeah, also too. Like if you're looking at an at large bid, if you're a big 12 or an ACC school, I don't think nine and three gets it done. I think that could possibly work for an SEC or a big 10 school. But I think you really have to be 10 and two if you want the at large and Utah could certainly have a loss. They have some tricky road trips on their schedule. They play at Oklahoma state. They play at Arizona state, which looking at things that doesn't sound tricky, historically they've been horrible in the desert trip to the desert is always tricky. You have at Houston where Houston almost beat Texas last year and then not only this game here, but then to finish the season at UCF. That's a loss man. They're going to lose that game at UCF. I don't know if you can say for sure that that's a loss, but it's a tough, tough spot for your time. I like, I like UCF to win that game, but I'll say this. I love the big 12 this year. I think it's the most one of them. I think it's the most interesting conference personally, but I think they're only getting one team. I'm in the middle of doing, I just did some stuff with SGP talking big 12. There's too much carnage. There's too many good teams, like there's no great teams, but there's too many good teams. And I also think there's too many good home environments. My fear in general with this college of all playoffs is that the big 12 and ACC might only get one team. And I just don't think that's a true representation of the whole nation as far as college football. I really hope it's not just all loaded with SEC and big 10 schools. I hope so too. I'm not optimistic about that. But I will say like, I also think it's unfair because I like, yes, like an SEC schedules, some of those teams are absolutely insane, but some of them aren't. You know what I mean? Like we've already previewed every SEC team. Some of those schedules, I think you could argue that some of the big 12 schedules are stronger than some of the SEC teams. Not sure. Another thing is like, if there is the perception that, you know, there is too little of representation for the ACC and the big 12, and at that point, you're comparing three loss SEC and big 10 teams versus one or two loss ACC and big 12 teams, I think that helps the ACC and big 12 get another bit just just I mean, maybe the networks want to see as many SEC and big 10 as they can get. But I think the nation is going to be like, fuck this, man, I don't want to see a three loss SEC team when there's a two loss big 12 team out there. And the only thing helping the ACC for the time being until these schools leave is that Florida State Clemson, Miami, they're still national brands. The problem with the big 12 is that as far as football, because Kansas is a national brand and basketball, but as far as football, they have zero national brands. So so I could see the committee, the crooked ass committee, taking a national brand from another conference over a more a more deserving big 12 school. Let me ask you this, does this game is it more fun as a pack 12 game or a big 12 game? Big 12, just because Colorado is a big eight team, a big 12 team. It's just who they are. Like you put them in the pack 12. It never fit perfectly. You talk can act like they are the most packed 12 team ever. They were in there for how many years, like a decade, and you know, they were in the Mountain West before, which is so much more like the big 12, but these teams belong in the big 12. And the fact that this has big 12 championship ramifications, at least for Utah, certainly. And then, you know, depending on how good Colorado is, I think this game's awesome. I think it may be even more deserving than the Tennessee Georgia game for the number two slide, you know, in retrospect here. Yeah. What's that? And just the contrast of styles, contrast of styles. I mean, is there anyone flashier than Deanna? Is there anyone less flashy? I think I win it. True. True. It's awesome. Look, folks, we're going to get to my next pick here in a second. I think you might be a Buffalo fan. I love it. Go buffs. Let's go. I got a song for us. I got a song for us. I do think people, you know, I was doing a deep dive on them. I think people are undervaluing them. And that's crazy how many people think Colorado's first year was a disaster. That was, I just argued with our own producer on SGP. He was like, bless you, it was a disaster. They won four times more than the amount of games in the year before, all right? They won four times more than the year before. And how about this? They had four seven-point losses or less against eight at eight-win teams or more. So that five total losses by a touchdown or less. Four of those were against USC eight wins, UCLA eight wins, Oregon State, I think eight or nine. Arizona was 10, Utah was eight or nine. So like they're that and I would argue that the big 12 was worse than the Pac 12 was last year. Oh, of course. Let me ask you this. I told you the second best conference last year. Yeah. Pac 12 was great. They had a tough slate. And let me ask you this though. I test, honestly, how do you think they did? I mean, at times, very impressive offensively, certainly at times. You can just tell they weren't a complete team. You can tell they weren't great in the trenches. And I mean, that, you know, the flashy quarterback and receivers will only take you so far. You need lineman, offensive. But there's so much better on the line of scrimmage this year. That's why that's why I feel like, and to me, the big thing is also Travis Hunter was out for like a month. Yeah. That was, I mean, I just think there's so much of a better team. And I actually projected, I think, all in the Colorado preview, I said, we locked up the over, but I said four wins at the most five and they blew a 28 point lead against Stanford. That would have been five. Right. And, and I think they're just in a really good spot. Like what I was doing, my exercise on the big 12, I'm like sitting there, like, I think an eight and four team is going to be in the big 12 championship, right? I really believe that because there's too much carnage. They play a nine game schedule. They have a really impressive noncon schedule to like playing at there's one week we did like week three where they're all at like group of fives, right? I'm curious to know how often a team that wasn't Texas or specifically Oklahoma managed to get out of there, you know, with our two teams, I should say, I guess because you're going to have two teams in the conference champion with with 10 wins that weren't, you know, Texas or Oklahoma. I feel like Oklahoma was getting to 10 wins a lot of those years when they were dominating the big 12, but they're gone now. And the rest of the conference, like you're saying, has so much parody that consistently they've been like floor has risen before like Kansas was awful and Iowa State was awful. Now those teams are good programs. Yeah, there's going to be a lot of carnage moving forward. I don't see how any team separates for like Colorado's when told I think that five and a half or six shop around, right, I have, I took the over again this year I'm going to take the over on our on our show because I believe that they're a better team than that. And if you can get the eight wins, I think you can get potentially via tiebreakers to the big 12 championship. That's all I'm saying. So it's worth taking that would be a black guy for the big 12 of an eight and I guess and after the conference championship nine and 14 Colorado and the big 12 championship would not be a black guy. That would be must watch. Yes. All right. Moving on. That's about 15 minutes on that. They've been in the big 12 championship more than every other fucking team in this in that league. All right. Any team in Colorado started in 96 Colorado's been there like four or five times. Has anyone else? It's true. It's probably true. Yeah. Anyway, let's go to my next pick, which will be, you know, I'm going to go to the swamp where I think look, I'm not very high on Florida this year. But these games are just kind of wacky. Remember the cleat throw that costs Florida, the game, the idiot that that threw the picked up the cleat and threw it of the other of the LSU player, which costs, I believe it was Florida, the game, right? Yeah. It was number three on Florida, I believe. But and then I remember the Tebow play. Well, remember that? And how about the, how about the less miles with the clock? He calls an extra play and the clock was going to run out if they don't complete this touchdown pass. Oh, yeah. They throw like a 30 yard touchdown. They had to do is such a terrible, such all they had to do is kick the field goal. And they win. And they were infielder and just like, I'm throwing to the end zone with five seconds up. Literally a touchdown with two seconds left, a deflection and the game is over. Yeah. LSU has won five straight though. This was also the game that had the flip over the head on the fake field goal. Yeah. Touchdown. Yeah. Yeah. Now, yeah, in our last year was a 17 point game of Baton Rouge and there's a chance it's a 17 point game here, but I still enjoy this matchup. There's something about Florida against Louisiana that I think is fucking hilarious. So I'm playing this one. Florida has a two game all time lead. Nick your thoughts. Yeah. I mean, I do think it's an interesting game. Hopefully much like the game we just played LSU is coming off Alabama. So I would also chalk this up as a tricky road trip. If the coaching staff is still intact and if Florida is still trying to win football games at this point in the season, if so, then LSU better watch out. If not, then they're going to catch a big break and they might win by double digits. But I just think that there's so much history in this game that it definitely belongs to be, you know, top five. Will Napier be coaching in this game, guys? They're not. Yeah, but I don't necessarily think that means that Florida is going to drop off that much. You know, without him at the helm. I think the swamp is always a dangerous place to play. I think LSU better be careful LSU, especially if they're, I mean, who do they have aspirations they have? Yeah. Alabama the week before maybe they come and let down the Texas and Arkansas game. Yeah. I mean, if the season is shit, then maybe this is their Super Bowl. Yeah. Yeah, it could be 34 33 and three all time LSU with the one point edge, but by the way, that Colorado Utah series 35 32 all time. Wait, I see Florida with the two two game lead. What are you talking about? I'm on wins of PDN. That's, uh, is that what you're, where you're pulling? Oh, yeah. You're probably right. Cause I'm on Wikipedia and they have vacated, they have vacated wins, which well, with these two programs, right? They're probably deleted 70 years of history. Um, they've played eight times. All right, it jumps over to you, Patti C. All right, let's take a little look around here. Oh, uh, let me go back to the list here. I'm going to take us to, I mean, this is not a very interesting game. So maybe I don't play that one, uh, but it is one that's been played a lot and I have to play something. Um, so I'm going to take us to a pack 12 former pack, 12 game. Do I want to play this? No, I'm not. I'm not going to play. Yeah, I would. I'm not playing that. There's better out there right now. I'm taking us to Friday night. I'm taking us to Friday night just for a fun college football game that I'll certainly be watching it. You might not like it, but it is the game that has been played most of any game on this slate. It's a rivalry game. It's a pretty hotly contested rivalry. We have Wyoming traveling to Colorado state. I love this game, dude. I had this in my top 10. I'm not on the spreadsheet, but in my head, I was like, this game's awesome. They're like 45 minutes apart. Uh, what's this for? The battle. What's it called again? The battle is it's a battle. It's not the battle of the boot, right? Is it? I gotta, I gotta look that up. It might be it. It might be the battle of the boot, right? The border war. I think it is. Battle. The boot is what? No, it is battle the boot. It is the brother. Yeah. Yeah. I had no idea this was such a big rivalry until we went to Laramie last year. And then I, yeah, I knew it was a big game, but I didn't realize like, especially on Wyoming side. I mean, this is the biggest rival. Is it Colorado state's biggest rival or is Colorado? That's the question. Yeah. And Colorado state also has a little bit of a rivalry there for us, but, um, Colorado state leads the rivalry all time, 59 51 and 6 115 times this bad boy's been played. Wyoming's one seven of eight closing that gap awfully fast. I tell you, there's three games on Friday night. One is P four. This is the game I most want to watch. It also helps that it's the best time for us East coasters. I also think both have a legitimate shot to make them out in West championship this year. Sure. Yeah, I mean, CJ Sullivan, shout out to the bet the tech of the bottom line bombs podcast. We preview Colorado state and I was like, you know, I mean, they kind of got a favorable schedule. I haven't previewed Wyoming yet, but I feel like Wyoming is they've built that program into bowl contention every year. So and they host Boise state this year so they could potentially get a huge win there. But I think I think they're both legit. I mean, we saw UNLV two six lost teams make the conference championship last year. I mean, you and I'll be the year before was like a two wind team or something. And they went to the championship, the San Jose state won the mountain west, not that long ago. Utah state won the mountain west not that long ago. So why couldn't it be Colorado state of Wyoming this year? Fresno, it's been more diverse than you think. I think everyone thinks, Oh, it's always Boise. No, in the past five years, San Jose States won it. Utah state's won it, Fresno state's won it, Boise state's won it. So and then if you it's different, if you go through who they played to Wyoming had a better record than both of the conference championship contenders last year, which was Boise finished eight and six UNLV nine and five Wyoming was nine and four. And they were one game out from a conference standpoint of the championship. So they're close Colorado state going to be getting a lot closer in your three under Norbow. Would you guys agree with that? Well, especially they have a very favorable schedule. They don't get Boise or Fresno. So like they, I think they can be in that mix. I think they really think they could be in that mix this year. That would be fun if this actually had some implications late in the season. Yeah, it should. Anyway, yeah, hold on, shout out to Wehock who goes, looks like for teams that have played in the big 12 championship, Colorado and Kansas state are tied. There we go. See, that's my point. They took 10 years off and I still want 10 years 14 years. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, All right, first big 10, the new big 10 game of the week. It's is kind of like a lot of the others. We have one team who is a favorite to make the college football playoff. And here in this case, it's the organ ducks and they're going to a tricky road game at Wisconsin camp Randall. I mean, Wisconsin has Alabama Penn State and Oregon all coming to them this year. Can they win one of those? That's the question. If Wisconsin got to improve in year two, or are they going to be an average team like last year? That's a question. Can they hang with Oregon at home? I know it's a tricky road spot. So the ducks better watch out. And Oregon, this series is three to three on time. Oregon is one three straight. All right. So, Yeah. Look, I'm excited for this. I do think this is a, I think I think Oregon's going to lose this game with Wisconsin coming off a buy as well. Yeah. I think this is the one statement. Well, look, you know, they're going to get somebody. I don't think it's going to be Alabama. I don't think it's going to be Penn State. It could be Penn State. But I think they're going to get one of the three and they need Drew Aller on the road. That's true. That's true. But one of the three they're going to get and they're going to storm that field. I project that this year, we will see the badger crazies. All right. Jump around. Jumping around there, tearing down the goddamn goal post. It's going to be fantastic. Let me tell you this, Wisconsin finished number 62 in the nation in rushing. They finished number 71 in the nation and passing. That is the Wisconsin air raid right there. They're still a better running team than they are a passing team. And Oregon is a physical team still. That is still there. No, there was constant with Bron Dain. Yeah. Well, Oregon is it. They've reversed. I mean, Oregon likes throw, but they've been super physical under Dan Lanning to me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think that got started under Cristobal, but Dan Lanning obviously took it up a whole other notch. But I think that is so ingrained in the DNA that it's of Wisconsin. You know, playing physical football, that's going to take more than a year or two for them to be susceptible to and be less physical than the team across the line of scrimmage from them. So if that's the strength of Oregon, obviously that played out against Liberty, who surprisingly has an amazing offense line. I didn't realize that they, like the best offense line in the nation, Oregon still whooped them. But still, I think, I think Wisconsin might be a little bit better liberty has had the best O line in the nation. Um, statistically from what I saw, they played nobody, but yeah. Yeah. Okay. But either way, not, I'd say Washington might have the best O line in the nation, but or Michigan. Yeah. I think both of those were on the list, but either way, Oregon, maybe Liberty, it doesn't really count because of the level of competition. But what I'm saying is Wisconsin is probably decently equipped to stop what Oregon does specifically to make this into a game. You know, I think Oregon probably has more tools on the edge, obviously than Wisconsin has, but in the trenches, we might see a stalemate. And then if Wisconsin can start getting that air dairy raid, then going, maybe this game is a little more competitive and camp Randall than anyone's telling you, I think is a competitive guy. I don't think it's going to be a blowout college football. You have a home like Wisconsin. Okay. They were not good last year, but even with them not being good, it's a program that wins and, and to me, a top 10 team coming in there, it's going to be a game. I don't think this is going to be a blowout by any means. So Barry Alvarez is still associated with this program. He's the AD. He's the AD. This guy doesn't stay. They don't stay down for long with it, that guy at the helm. This will be the Ohio State game was 24 to 10. That's what I'm saying. If it's in camp Randall, like college football, sometimes we overthink this thing, right? It's hard to win on the road. Yeah, there's a reason why, you know, a lot of times your national champ plays four road games. I did a deep dive on this shit. It was like majority of the national champs, I feel like over the past 15 years have played four road games and normally, normally it's like one of those is like a Vanderbilt game or a, you know, a bullshit road game like at an empty stadium at Northwestern or something. So I think this is a complete awesome game. And look, that's me saying something positive about the big 10. So there we go. Jumps back to Dundee and look, and see Nick has just been, he's been hyping this team up. I, I, I don't know him and his wife were watching the Ozarks. All right. Like, I think he just, you know, got was fascinated with that show. He's probably looking at getting a lake house up there, but I, well, isn't that in Arkansas? Isn't that in Missouri? I thought it was in Missouri, a little bit of, yeah, I think it was our Southern Missouri, Southern Missouri. Yeah. Maybe it's more than Arkansas. Yeah. I think that show takes place in Missouri, buddy. Yeah. I go, you know, they do touch each other. But the show, I think, you know, like where they get their house and stuff, he's talking about Missouri. Anyway, his, he's been sprinkling this route. I see his little videos doing out there saying Missouri's going to watch out. There's something I know. Shane Beemer is here. Now that isn't if just like the Napier thing, one thing Shane Beemer, we can say about him, they close the season strong. I feel like every year they suck at the beginning of the, he's like Mike Gundy 2.0, right? Where, so when I think about Missouri traveling into Williams Bryce, you like drink, which you better watch out. If you got playoff aspirations jumping into Williams Bryce. Now the downside is this Missouri has kicked the shit out of South Carolina ever since they've joined the SEC, but I still think we've never seen Missouri as a top 10 team, real and maybe the first years of Pinkle or something, but I think this is a dangerous game. Nick, your thoughts. No, I, I agree. And again, Missouri could be one of those teams in the mix, you know, for the playoffs at this point in the season, maybe they only have one loss or two losses coming into this. The funny thing about this week is that we have a lot of those teams that are on the road. So I think on the surface, we look at it and we're like, Oh man, you know what? This week's kind of dull. This is one of those weeks that could get really sneaky and have a lot of big time upsets that we don't see coming every college football season. There's one week where we're not too excited about it and it's fucking crazy. And it's like crazy shit happens. It could be this week. It could be this game. Missouri's won five straight against them and they've been ugly 34 to 14. Not all of them. Few of them have been pretty close. I mean, three of them within two scores out of those five, two of them with them, one, two scores anytime you're double digits. Yeah. I mean, I feel like, yeah, last though, I, I'd mentioned that, that Ohio State, Wisconsin is 24 to 10, but it was a seven point game going into the fourth quarter. So it could still be a very close game in the, if a team attacks on one more touchdown towards the end, you know, the, the score can be deceiving. Yeah. There. Anyway, I mean, Missouri was fantastic last year. Do you, Colby, I feel like I thought you said you think they were a little bit of fool's gold. I just want to see it. Well, yeah. I mean, they beat middle. I watched that middle Tennessee game and middle Tennessee very well could have won that game. I understand Luther burden is a stud and I thought they had a great year last year. They should celebrate that. I like what they did in the portal, but they did lose their DC and they did win a bunch of games that I thought were rather close. I don't, sometimes that's not sustainable. Sometimes you see, you see that you're in, you know, one year to beat itself beating Ohio State in the bowl game is probably deceiving a lot of fans. Yeah. A severely depleted Ohio State team. That is not how good Missouri actually is. Like I'm looking at Missouri in similar fashion with Arizona. And the Arizona is different, a little bit different because they're bringing in a head coach, but, or Jed Fish in general. Like, are you, is that really him? Is he really that good of a coach? Or is it they called lightning in a bottle and want a bunch of close games? You know, and I think Missouri is going to be good, but I also think they could lose this game. And I'm not ready to just say that's an automatic win, even though they have kicked the shit out of them lately. So anyway, that's, that's why I think it needs to be played here is I think it's going to be more, be more magic catches someone every year. You could have a field storming situation in Fayetteville, Arkansas, could have a field storming situation in Boulder, Colorado, Madison, Wisconsin, Gainesville, Florida, and Columbia South Carolina. A lot of SCC country could be all top 10 teams coming on the road. Anyway, there could be some more. What's that? There could be some more also that we'll get to, but go ahead. Okay. Where you going, Patti? See, I'll focus in on that last conversation. I got to take a look around the board. There was another Friday night game that I really like. That's a little probably underrated, but I think it's too early to play that. I am going to go, gosh, would you guys feel like there's a little drop off here? Potentially. I could see another upset out there or two. All right. Well, I'm going to go with a game that that's another Friday night game. I like it a little bit. And I think the history of the series is what makes this compelling. I'm taking you to Arizona where the Houston Cougars will travel and play the Wildcats of Arizona. Is this too high? Potentially. I just didn't see any other games. The Sumlin Bowl. The Sumlin Bowl, if you will. Houston only four and eight last year. Obviously Arizona 10 and three, how well Arizona comes in and competes in the big 12 is a question mark. But as we've mentioned before, the Pac 12 was the better conference last year. So if they went 10 and three in the Pac 12, even though fish left, maybe Arizona state Arizona is in position to dominate. Houston leads the all time series three to one. I found that surprising the granite. This one's on the road, but I do think Houston will challenge Arizona in this game. Oh, I think people are sleeping on Willie Fritz. I think people are sleeping. He's got Donovan, Donovan Smith back right down with Smith is it? Donovan Smith, right back for his like 20th year of college football. And then he brought in a bunch of transfers and like, I, I'm a little worried about September, like the UNLV game that like, will he have his team ready by week one UNLV is decent. They play at Oklahoma the next week. They play rice. So I think will be a ball team. Like September is the time to be weary, I think. But one thing I know about Willie Fritz teams, they are going to be better and better with each fucking week. And when I think about the November, I was talking about this with a stack of the money and Kramer today, they're going to get someone we're not thinking, whether it's Utah, whether it's Kansas state, whether it's Arizona, I guarantee Willie, one of Willie Fritz's teams, they're going to beat someone that you're not thinking. Probably one of the home games though. And that's the only problem. This game is that here we have, this is why it's different than the other ones we've played so far. Here we have the heavy favorite at home. It's still a fine game. I'm not blaming you for taking it here. Now, this game starts at 10 15 Eastern time. So it won't be over till about 2 a.m. in the morning. If I can bitch about that for all those East coasters and that's fine. What are you supposed to do? It's in Arizona. I'm not blaming them for the time. But at the same time, this is why an East Coast bias, one of the reasons why an East Coast bias exists, because people aren't willing to stay up that late for this game. Because people don't know about desert football yet. And here we go. This is another rendition of desert football that we're getting from this expanded big 12. It's beautiful. Enjoy it. And like, I don't think Houston, like if anything, I think it was more about Holgerson. You go back and look, they lost a double overtime to rice. They should have beat Texas potentially. They were loading that up a bad bullshit, not non-reviewed spot and kept it within two scores against UCF and Oklahoma state. So, I mean, I don't think that the programs in the beat West Virginia now granted was on a Hail Mary, but they should have won even before that. I don't think the teams as bad as people think. So do you think that you know, I think they're a bold team this year. Another year, getting prepped for the weekend, week out slog, will you know, help Houston, you know, the power for slog, as it were, will help Houston, I'm not sure how good of a coach he really is. Now we'll see if he lands up somewhere in, you know, the group of five. I just think Willie Fritz is so much better of a coach. He's going to come in and take that same talent. And I think he's going to, he's going to be better than what people think just right off the. I actually think when it's all said and done, I think you might be able to make an argument that was the best hire the whole, the whole coaching, you know, the cycle. He certainly took a two lane team that had not done a damn thing in a long time and made them elite for, you know, an extended period of time. He was getting players drafted by them. The development, the development, I think was, was very good. And he goes to Houston where he was a coach of Sam Houston state for a long time. One of the things he said is he's, he's really been plugged in. He knows all the high school coaches there. So the shoe fits, man. So keep an eye out for that one. Anyway, NC Nick, apparently on big 10 Nick this week, like this game might not be that great this year. But whenever I see Nebraska and USC playing good, good pick. Come on, man. You got to tune in, right? These are two like concept, all heavy weight programs throughout the history of 80s or 90s or whatever. Nebraska at USC sounds like a fun game, sum you up. USC four and oh, and one, there's one tie all the time. How about this though? You know Nebraska and if you took, if you take all the power five teams, it was like 70 teams. The last team to make a bowl game is Nebraska Vanderbilt has made a bowl game more recently than Nebraska. That's Western. All those teams. What has made a book? Yep. That's wild. They're the last team out of every single power five team to have been to a bowl. That's a crazy stat. That's what happens when you ditch the triple option. That's what they get. That's what they get. Yeah. The last time they played though was in 2014 USC one 45 42 in the holiday bowl. I think you got to play it here. I think it's, I think it's worthy of that being played here. USC all time undefeated in this game for one one. Yep. So maybe Nebraska can maybe Matt rule can steal one at the Coliseum here. What do you think on uniforms alone? You know, we, we were alive for both of these teams. Hey, days obviously, what from like 93 to 2005 or six, they combine for essentially six national championships, appearances or I guess votes in that in a 12 or 13 year period. So they were two super dominant teams for, you know, most, a good portion of our life. Unfortunately, both of them are down right now. However, you can't not remember that when watching the these two teams. So yeah, it's fair to say USC is down. I mean, they were damn near close to going at the playoffs two years ago. Yeah, they want a game still is. Yeah. I'm just dumping on them while I get the chance because they're USC fair. Fair enough. All right. What we got next jumps back to me. Well, I'm going to take you the last of the top 10. What's that? Last, a last pick of the top 10. Yeah. Oh, okay. Okay. I was wondering what you're talking about. I'm going to take you to Provo where I think BYU is going to upset Kansas and Kansas might be ranked. You know, one of my things about Kansas this year that just sucks is they finally get up from the basement. Leipold's built this program up and damn if they don't have a home stadium, because I think they could make the playoffs had they just had a home stadium. I was just looking at their schedule earlier earlier today. You know, they play Iowa State and Colorado in November and Arrowhead. You want to bet that that's a 50 50 crowd for the Iowa State game and a 60 40 for the Colorado game. Depending on how good Kansas is, they could be if they're very good. I bet they they have the majority of the crowd. No way. Iowa State is going to be half that crowd. You cannot tell me otherwise. They that's not that far for them. Yeah. That's true. So you took one of your most important games that was supposed to be in Lawrence. Why couldn't you just operate in the construction zone like Vanderbilt did? Because by doing this, I really think you're fucking up your season and there's not many years and watch Leipold take like the Florida job. Right. Watch after this year, he takes like the Florida job or something. I don't know. But my point is, is that they could really make the playoffs this year and I'm bummed out that they don't even have a, that they're playing all these games at Arrowhead because I think it's going to make, I think that's going to be what cost them. I'm pushing back on you on this one. Yeah. I mean, we gave Hawaii so much shit for playing at the Ching complex. I feel in Northwestern, we're clowning them for playing on that little stadium by the lake. I know that that's a construction site. Essentially, we get Vanderbilt shit for playing with. I mean, they're even playing in their home stadium, but it's under construction. No, that's what I'm saying. That's what they should do. Most of these teams do it while you renovate. Kramer was talking about Virginia Tech doing that is a bad timing. Yes, but yeah, can you sacrifice one year? You know, I think that's not a few leaves. If he leaves that program, good luck getting it to, I don't know. I just feel like well, maybe that maybe that'll keep him around having a not as good of a year as they could have. That's true. It could happen. But going back to this game, I've said it before, when we've been doing these weekly previews, anytime one of the big 12 favorites plays at BYU in Provo, I definitely want to watch because it's a place where the home dog is always live. Yes, I mean, more than a hard place to play. Yeah. So Kansas is like one hour from Arrowhead, right? It's like I have 52 minutes or something. I just Google mapped it, right? Yeah. Iowa States three hours and 30 minutes. They're going to be there, dude. Well, I mean, ticket allotment wise, like how does that work? It's still a home game. It's a fucking NFL stadium, though. Way bigger than their normal stadium. Yeah, that's true. I mean, Iowa state fans are probably going to fill out a lot of championship there for a long time, dude, for a reason. Like this is assuming that, you know, they make, you know, well, I guess Kansas has had what like a 50,000 seat stadium. Arrowhead is presumably a 75, 80,000. You know, if they make the split, the remaining 30,000 seats down the middle, then yeah, I would assume I was, I think it's probably going to be not quite the home environment that they would have at a home game. But I still think it's going to be in Kansas's favor here. I don't think it's going to be a straight road match. That doesn't even matter there since this game is at BYU, but I get what you're saying. It's like over the course of the season, you won as many wins as you can get. And especially to like have a, have momentum coming into a game like this against BYU, you need to have wins. And if you're losing your home float advantage on your big home games, then eventually you just lose, lose all your momentum. So it does suck for them. But hey, you got to do it at some point. And there are worse places to play than Arrowhead. David Booth is 46 or 47,000. I think 46 and change. Arrowhead is 73, 76,000. They're telling you, you're, you're fucked. You're fucked. Anyway, they're going to lose this game in Provo too, because that BYU is going to be a lot better this year. And I just think it's a tough road trip. So give me this one. And see Nick, you already talked about this. Patti, see what's your thoughts on this game? Actually, I mean, Kansas is going to BYU. I do. I think you again, I'm rooting for these group of five teams that came into the big 12 to find their footing. I think maybe because Nick took such a dump on us for them struggling in year one. I want to write. You were all right. I was wrong. Probably start drinking just for that as we speak. But I think I still own Nick five shots. This is the latest payment on that ever. We, we hawks a Kansas fan. He's telling you, he's from Kansas, I believe that's the story. No games in Lawrence and win big 12. ISU will be half the crowd. That's what I'm saying, though, man, is it, it's, it's going to be an issue. I mean, I don't feel nearly as good about their win total as most years when you're playing your home games in another state. That's tough. That's tough. Anyway, Patti see it just back to you, where are you going? Now I'll go to a game that, look, you guys, I think we're all assuming that the wheels are going to fall off for most of the teams going from the back 12 to the big 10. However, these are two games with a, are two teams with a long standing rivalry, which believe it or not still matters. And guess what? It's been a pretty hotly contested rivalry. Who would you assume has more wins all time between UCLA and Washington? I would assume Washington, but not by much, but you would be wrong because UCLA leads that all time series, 41 to 33. So there must have been a time when UCLA was a much better program than they have been. It was. Yeah. But either way, Washington defending national championship contender and two straight to them. Hello, Washington might have played for the national championship the year before in the loss of Pasadena. Sean and Ryan were at that game. They occasionally, I would love to catch this on a Friday night or something, but it will be on a Saturday. But look, it's just a lot of tradition in this game. Who knows how good these two teams are, but just based on the quality of the two programs, I got to play it here. No, and it goes back like a hundred years. So I mean, yeah, NC Nick, your thoughts on UCLA and Washington. I think it's fair. I think it'd be a lot better last year. There's question marks on how good either of these teams will be this year. But it does go back a ways solid conference game. Am I excited to watch this? Not really. But I don't have a problem with it being played here either, if that makes sense. All right. This just goes back to the goes back to the fact that pack 12 rivalries only exist like within the same state or cross town. Like these teams have played each other forever within the same conference. And no one gets excited because they're so far away from each other. They're an entire coastline away from each other. But anyway, yeah, it's nice uniforms, UCLA, Washington. Yeah, no, I enjoy it. I think it's a good game. I like it a little more than Nick. But anyway, Nick jumps to you. Well, it's about damn time we play an ACC game, not the best week for ACC football, but going along with the theme of this week, a conference favorite on the road. I'm going to take you to Clemson at Pitt. Clemson has never won at Pitt. Yeah. And guess what? It's going to be cold as fuck. Exactly. Never won at Pitt. They've only put their wants in 2021. But pit won that game. It remains to be seen of Clemson. I've seen some pit beat Clemson at Clemson. The one year too. Yeah. Who was made like a 55 yarder? It was a quarterback for pit who threw like five interceptions in the NFL game. Peterman. Yes. Nathan Peterman. Yeah. Good pull. You know why this game fucks with them every time they play? Like I feel like pit can bang with Clemson. That's the difference. Like pit can bang with them. Now, pits offense is always a mystery. But I just feel like on the line of scrimmage, most of the time Clemson has a huge edge over every other ACC team on the line of scrimmage, maybe minus Florida state Miami, but I'm saying other than that, like pit is one that I think is not afraid of that. They welcome it. And I think that's why they kind of give them problems. This is a dangerous game that goalposts could go down to pet your thoughts. Well, again, you've mentioned in 1000 times that pit is one of the most slept on teams in terms of producing NFL talent and generally Clemson has a talent advantage on a lot of the ACC teams they play. But I don't know that that's the case with pit. Now, pit despite that talent, as we've also mentioned 1000 times finds a way to stay mediocre, despite it. They're what Clemson used to be. Right. But that team is capable of beating Clemson on talent, sometimes on coaching, certainly on toughness in the trenches. Like you've said, I think they might be a thorn in Clemson side in November in Pittsburgh. Yes. I don't miss this. Can we add pit? Can we add Pittsburgh to Colby's list about complete mysteries? Or do you think they're going to be bad? I have. So my list is growing. My list. Who did I add today to it or yesterday to it? I want to say I put who the fuck was it? I don't know. But maybe it was, maybe it was, I want to say it was maybe Texas tech, Texas tech pit. GCU, Syracuse, Washington, Cal, Cal is one where I think there's like 15 mystery teams this year. I'd say all burned. Yeah. Yeah. And, and it's going to be, it's going to be fun to watch because you're one of those will emerge as a, as a legit power team. Yeah. One will. It's a fun matchup.
