You need to stand up and be a man, there ain't many of us left, but stand up and be a man. Quit pointing the finger, look in the mirror, and go get it done. Make the hard decisions, make the sacrifice, and quit expecting somebody else to do it. When do you become a man? When you get a driver's license? Like what do we do? You're 16, we give you a driver's license. Okay, wait, wait, wait. You get a job? Like when do you become a man? You become a man when you become responsible for other people, and part of that is taking accountability. Go do things, go do things, lift, start lifting weights, learn how to deadlift, learn how to squat. That's part about being a man, right? Physically strong. Yeah, physically strong. Learn something you did too. I just got asked this the other day, kid came up to me, he's like, "What should I do if I get intimidated by other people and I don't know how to react when people like get in my face?" I said, "Do you change a jujitsu?" No. "Start changing a jujitsu." But then what? I'm going to fight everyone? No, no, no. You don't have to because you already know you can beat them up. Now if they attack you, yeah, you can beat them up. But if they are just getting in your face and trying to punk you and you look at them and go, "Hey, if you want to do this, let's do this, but I don't care." I am very new to this being a man thing, and I'm still not there. And I'm on a path. I grew up in a culture that told me going to war made you a man, making a million dollars makes you a man, you know, and it doesn't. And you don't know it till you done all these things and realized, damn, I'm still a little fucking boy. Or been around people who've been there a bunch of times or something similar. I don't think that people have talked to young people about responsibility in any real sense. Yeah, life's rough. No doubt about it. But people, some people do have it harder than others. And all of us have it very hard at some times in our lives. It's like, well, what's the alternative? You take responsibility for that and struggle uphill despite their excess burden. The problems in your life are your own thing fall. If you can't pay your bills, it's your fault. Now that's harsh, but for the most part, if you've made foolish and unwise and irresponsible financial decisions, that's your fault. The responsibility for the wellbeing of your family, your wife, your children are yours. And so the answer into fixing the problems in your life are in your own dang hands. Don't be afraid of taking on responsibility. You're so, it's where you find what sustains you in your life. A lot of the things that people regard as traps are actually the means to their life. You can take on too much responsibility. You have to be cautious in that regard. But that's a less common problem than not taking on enough. You're a man. You are a man. Make the hard decisions. Make the sacrifices. Make the unpopular decisions and become comfortable in your own skin. And if you are not a person that you are comfortable being alone with, that is the one person in this universe that you have full power, full right, full responsibility to change. Become your own man. (dramatic music) (dramatic music)
