When you're laying there in your fucking bed and you're in the fucking hospital and you're 70, 80, 90 years old and you're thinking, "Man, I didn't fucking do so." Because you did. You didn't do it. You didn't do shit. You made it to great life, man, but you always feel empty inside. I don't feel empty. So call me what you want. There's not one empty bone in my fucking body. Because I have figured out that really the magic potion, at least to my life, is very rewarding. Act like the person you want to become. That's not fake until you make it, by the way. This is intentional. Intentionally act like the person you want to become. Because when you intentionally act like the person you want to become, your brain sees you taking those actions so your brain starts to change the way it relates to you. It's full responsibility for what happens to you. It's one of the highest forms of human maturity, accepting full responsibility. It's the day you know you've passed from childhood to adulthood, the day you accept full responsibility. Here's the big challenge of life. You can have more than you've got because you can become more than you are. That's the challenge. And of course the other side of the coin reads, unless you change how you are, you'll always have what you got. For me, there's nothing more motivating than the knowledge I'm going to die. Think of the prisoner in the cell and they're putting an X through everyone because every X is one day closer to getting out. Well, let's do that for your life. Every X you spend doing nothing, that's a day you could have done something and you're going to die one day and it's there on the calendar. This would so motivate me as it does to be as productive as I can, as helpful as I can. Try to make a better world for your privilege of having lived in it.
