(soft music) Shalom, precious one. We are warmly welcome to our morning glory devotion airing on Radio ACI today. God bless you for being a part of the just-ended prayer startup. We know that no labor goes on rewarded. And as we keep investing in prayer and the hearing of the word, our profiting will soon be evident for all to see amen. Privileged to be facilitating today's devotion is Pastor Benjamin Bruce Smith from Havish Chapel, Internationale De Niamh Kumaase. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Dear Lord, we thank you for the privilege and the honor to hear your word. We pray you go that your worth this morning would usher us into our inheritance and instruct us the right way to go in Jesus' mighty name we pray, amen. Like we usually do, let us kindly take a confession from Joshua chapter one, verse eight. Joshua chapter one, verse eight. This book of the Lord shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in the day and night that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then, I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good sasses, amen. I think for today's devotion is 11 sacrifice, and our scripture reading shall be taken from Romans chapter 12, verse one. Romans chapter 12, verse one. I'll be reading from the NIV. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of course, messy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship. Here ends the reading of the word of the Lord, and all shall respond, thanks be to God. The true and leavened sacrifice. In our scripture reading today, the apostle Paul appeals to the born again believer to willingly offer his or her body as a leavened sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This he tells us is our true and proper worship in view of God's mercies towards us. Today's devotion focuses mainly on the reason for such an admonition by the apostle, and some manifestations and results of God's mercies at work in our lives, for which reason we are edged to follow this instruction. Right from Romans chapter one to 11, we are systematically exposed to the extent to which God went to restore fallen man back to the place of glory, a rich demonstration of God's mercies at work, ever prepared to take the ricks and go any land to win back fallen man. And man in response to this show of messy is to offer his or her body as a leavened sacrifice to God. Let us now consider some of the wicks and results of God's mercies in our lives. By the mercies of God, we have received justification from the guilt and penalty of sin. Romans chapter four verse 25 and Isaiah chapter 53 verse five. Yes, the wages of sin is death and fallen man is under God's wrath, but God in his rich mercies credits righteousness to all who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. Jesus has paid for the penalty of sin for all. Hallelujah. We have peace with God. Romans chapter five verse one. The enmity between God and man because of sin has been rolled away. We can now boldly approach the throne of grace and obtain mercy in times of need. Hebrew chapter four verse 16. By the mercies of God, we have received adoption to sonship and be made co-heirs with Christ. We see this in Romans chapter eight verse 15 to 17. Also by the mercies of God, we have been released from the law and placed under grace. Romans chapter seven verse six. By the mercies of God, we have been made beneficiaries of the quickening power of the indwelling spirit of God. We find this in Romans chapter eight verse 11. Also, we have received an assurance of help and unlimited provision. Romans chapter eight verse 32. We have the confidence of God's perpetual love. Romans chapter eight verse 35 to 39. Beloved, the list goes on and on. God's message towards us never ceases. They are new every morning. Namentations chapter three verse 23. And just like we would naturally go out of our way to appreciate and honor the people who stand with us and extend a helping hand in times of trouble, God desires one thing from us. That his abundant mercies, past, present and future, will persuade and convince us to willingly offer our bodies as a living sacrifice unto him. Preasures one, God does not make an unjust demand. It is a warranted appeal in view of his rich mercies towards us. Let us take a moment to reflect on the mercies of God towards our lives as we go through the day and make a decision and commitment with the help of the Holy Spirit to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, amen. In our next episode, we shall consider what it means to offer one's body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God and how we can achieve this feat, amen. Let us kindly take a memory verse for the day. A memory verse for today shall be taken from rumors chapter 12 verse one. Rumors chapter 12 verse one, and we shall be taken in from the new international version. Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship. Let us take it again. Rumors chapter 12 verse one. Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship, amen. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we thank you for your weather has come to us. We thank you Lord for the life that you have reviewed in our hearts, O God. Thank you for your mercies that are bound on to us in the name of Jesus. Father, we willingly offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, O God, in view of your mercy. This, O God, can only be a true response. It can only be a true act of worship towards you.
