[Music] Oh come! Let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker in reverence, praise and prayer. For He is our God and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you will hear his voice. Shalom, wonderful people of God. God bless you for being a part of the just-ended prayer startup session. This is Havastapul International De Namikumasi and facilitating today's episode of our Morning Glory Devotion, a spastic dude, the grafts terrier. Please let us share a word of prayer. Thank you, dear Lord, for the privilege to look into your word. The prayer that your word will fall on the good selves of our hearts and bear much fruit in Jesus mighty name, amen. Shall we please take our confession from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8? Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous and then I will have good success, amen. The theme for this morning's devotion is unfeigned worship and our scripture reading will be taken from John chapter 4 verses 21 to 24. John chapter 4 verses 21 to 24 and I'll be reading from the new living translation version. Jesus replied, "Believe me dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship. While we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. By the time it's coming, indeed it's here now, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is spirit, so those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Amen. Unfaint worship. Unfaint worship. The idea of worshiping the Lord in spirit and truth comes from Jesus' conversation with a woman at the well in John chapter 4 verses 6 to 30. In the conversation, the woman was discussing places of worship with Jesus, saying that the Jews worshiped a Jerusalem, while the Samaritans worshiped at Mount Gerism. Jesus had just revealed that he knew about him many husbands, as well as the fact that the current man she lived with was not her husband. This made her uncomfortable, so she attempted to divert his attention from her personal life to matters of religion. Jesus refused to be distracted from his lesson on true worship and got to the heart of the matter, worshiping God in spirit and in truth. John chapter 4 verse 23. God is much bigger than the four walls of church. He is not limited to any physical space or geographical location. He is present with us anywhere and everywhere we find ourselves. Worshiping God goes beyond all that we see and do in church. The Bible steady time, the hymns and spiritual songs we sing, the praying times, the clapping of our hands, dancing and the likes are all just a part of it. Worship is actually a lifestyle, but unless we have knowledge of the God we worship, there is no worship in truth and in spirit. Our knowledge of God will influence our reverence for him and our reverence for him will reflect in our daily lifestyles. God is interested in every other area of our lives, so everything we do must bring glory and praise to his name. This is a true act of worship. No facet of our life is exempted from giving glory to God. Our spiritual lives are not separated from our secular lives. Therefore, how we treat our wives or husbands in marriage, how diligently we pursue our academic work, how decently we go about our relationships with our beloveds and other family members, how effectively we do the work of ministry and even how we go about our jobs and businesses should be honorable to God. He must take pleasure and delight in them. To be able to achieve this, we must cultivate the presence of God around us and have a certain consciousness of him all the time. Let us seek to please him by reading and meditating on the word of God, obeying the truths and teachings of the word, enjoying regular fellowship with other believers, spending quality time praying and fasting periodically as the Lord directs. In everything we do, let us do it unto God and not unto man, Colossians 3 verse 23. And whether we eat or drink or whatever we do, let us do it all for the glory of God. First Corinthians 10 verse 31. Amen. Amen. Shall we take our memory verse for today? And our memory verse for today would be from John chapter 4 verse 24. John chapter 4 verse 24. I read from the new living translation version. For God is spirit. So those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. For God is spirit. So those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. Amen. Shall we share a word of prayer? A Lord and Master Jesus, we thank you so much for your word that has come to us this morning. We pray in the name of Jesus. For grace to be able to live a life that is well pleasing to you. A life that you take delight in and pleasure in. In Jesus' mighty name have we prayed with thanksgiving. Amen. So beloved, worshiping God goes beyond all that we see and do in church. Worship is actually a lifestyle but until we have knowledge of the God we worship, we cannot worship in truth and spirit. Please continue to keep your dial on video each CI today as we have more Spirit-filled content for your spiritual nourishment. Shalom and please have a blessed day.
