[Music] We've gone on belief. My Savior is near. And for my relief will surely appear. By prayer, let me wrestle, and He will perform. The Christ in the vessel, I smile at the storm. The early beloved, God which bless you for wrestling in prayer, and they just ended prayer startup. And for joining us for the morning glory devotion, we are very confident that whilst we wrestle in the word as well, we will see the hand of God in our lives, please let's kindly bow down our heads for a word of prayer. Our Lord and Father in the name of Jesus, we thank You for we count its old joy and the repurability of God to sit at your feet and learn your word. Father, it's our prayer that as your word is spirit and it's life for God. And this moment as we open our hearts to receive your word, and your word will come to inspire us, the word will come to inform us, the word will come to rebuke our God and to exhaust us. A Father who would grow and be the mature people you have destined us to be in Jesus name, Amen. Amen. Please let's kindly see our confession together from Joshua chapter one verse eight. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, and I will be able to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success in Jesus name, Amen. Amen. Our theme for discussion day one this morning is school your mind and the scriptures for consideration sticking from Daniel chapter nine verses one to three, then from twenty to twenty three. Please let's hear the word of the Lord at the sticking from the new English translation. Daniel chapter nine verses one to three. In the first year of Darius, son of Ahasuerus, who was of median descent, and who had been appointed king over the Babylonian Empire. In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, came to understand from the sacred books that according to the word of the Lord, disclosed to the Prophet German, the years for the fulfilling of the desolation of Jerusalem was 70 in number. So I turned my attention to the Lord God to implore him by prayer and request with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. Verses 20 to 23. While I was still speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my request before the Lord my God, concerning his holy mountain. Yes, while I was still praying, the Mount Gabriel, whom I had seen previously inversion, was approaching me in my state of extreme weariness. Around the time of the evening offering, he spoke with me, instructing me as foolish. Daniel, I have come to impart understanding to you. As the beginning of your request, a message went out, and I have come to convey it to you, for you are of great value in God's sight. Therefore consider the message and understand the vision. Beloved, here is the reading of the word of God. Some is really too good. School your mind, precious one, it's interesting to know that a month's advancement in life is tied to the extent of knowledge he possesses. Thus the absence of knowledge can put a limitation on man's life and the resulting possible life experiences. Knowledge has the ability to create new possibilities by expanding a person's scope of reasoning, imagination, and faith. Like the Bible has said in Hosea chapter 4 verse 6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." And again, in Romans chapter 10, verse 17, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. In our opening text, we see Daniel entering an arena of new possibilities when he decided to school his mind. Right from inception of the captivity of Israel by Nebuchadnezzar, we get to know the manner of man Daniel was by reason of the choice of man the king commanded to be sought among his captives, so they could teach them the literature and language of the Babylonians. According to Daniel chapter 1, the verse 3 and 4, the sought Israelites who were of royal and noble descent, young men, were versed in all kinds of wisdom, well-educated, and having keen insight, and who were capable of entering the king's royal service. Daniel's diligence of schooling his mind became beneficial to him and his nation in a Babylonian land of slavery. In the verse 2 of Daniel chapter 9, we are told that Daniel was studying and reading the holy books, the scriptures, the message that Yahweh had given to the prophet Jeremiah, and in that message Jeremiah had written that Jerusalem would be destroyed and remain ruined for 70 years. This prophecy was a life-saving exposure Daniel had when he took the pain to acquire knowledge through the written scriptures. His discovery aided his intercession for the deliverance of Israel from Babylonian captivity. Until Daniel discovered the prophecy, it was of no use to him. Beloved, undoubtedly, a man is limited by his knowledge. We cannot live above our exposure to knowledge. In other ways, what a man doesn't know cannot benefit him, so we must not despise knowledge and live his acquisition to chance. Beloved, we must hunger and thirst for knowledge, and more so, the knowledge of the wisdom of God. The knowledge of God is the ultimate. There is no knowledge or wisdom above the Lord. As it is written in Proverbs chapter 24, the verse 13 and 14, it said, "My son, eat you, honey, because it is good, and the only come which is sweet to your taste." Verse 14 says, "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul. When you have found it, then there shall be a reward, and your expectation shall not be cut off." Beloved, there are rewards in acquiring wisdom and knowledge, particularly the knowledge of God. Every step you take and every decision you make is according to the knowledge you have. So if you care to move your spiritual work forward, grow in the free and live a better life than you have now, then you can't belittle the intention now and constant training and renewal of your mind by the word of God, the written wisdom of God. You must make every effort to acquire the knowledge of God because the more knowledge of God you acquire, the better a spiritual life you can live. At age 12, Jesus was busy in the temple schooling his mind by setting through written documents and asking questions which the teachers of his day found mind-boggling. It is not surprising we read of him often saying, "It is written." When his hometown folks heard him speak in the asinagog, they were greatly astonished as in Matthew 13, verse 54. Beloved, don't spend most of your time on some other secondary things and leave your mind unschooled, particularly in spiritual knowledge. Do you remember the response Jesus gave at matters complaints? When his sister was sitting with a master and hearing his ways, Luke 10, verse 40 and 41, we are told Jesus said, "Mother, Mother, one thing is needful, and Mary has chosen that good part." Beloved, if there is any thing needful, if there is any good, please school your mind, yen for the knowledge of God, and give all diligence to acquire the wisdom of God. As the scripture has said, "Your expectations shall not be cut off." God, which will bless you. Beloved, please let's take the memory vest together from Proverbs chapter 24, the verse 14, reading from the American King James Version. It says, "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul." When you have found it, then there shall be a reward and your expectation shall not be cut off. Amen and amen. Please let's share a word of prayer. Father, in the name of Jesus, we give you praise for exposing us to the truth that we need to school our minds. By acquiring wisdom and knowledge even through your word, we pray in the name of Jesus, grant us the grace to apply all the diligence we need to be able to school our minds in the name of Jesus. Father, we give you praise for we know even as we do so, our expectations in this life and the life to come shall not be cut off. In Jesus' mighty name we have prayed, amen and amen. Beloved, one thing is needful, one thing is good. School your mind with the knowledge of God and diligently seek for the wisdom of God. You will make your way prosperous and successful thereby.
