Boot Camp - Audio
As I asked earlier, we need a volunteer for the fourth grade class and I think when you witness what you just witnessed, you know, they need -- we got to help them earlier. So we've got to get to these kids a little sooner or this is the kind of thing that's going to be repeated in the lives of some of you with younger children. So, now that was fantastic teens, thanks to Bunch, that was really, really awesome. And if you want to see it again, you can go on YouTube. I think it's even a little more clear on YouTube and you can hear a little bit better there. But do we, you know, going back to this, is there anyone that would volunteer, any man that would volunteer to lead in the fourth grade class? They just have to be in it. You don't have to lead it. You just have to be in it. Is there anyone else? No, I'm just kidding. Thank you, Bob. Thank you. Okay, I guess you don't have to lead it, you just need to be one of the members in there. So you just need to see microkifers, thanks a bunch, bro, appreciate that. Let's see, now all the rest of the hands, oh, Roy's got -- I was going to -- okay, we got it, Roy, he's first, he's first, so amen. What time do we have? Eight twelve. All right. There's a quick little charge here then, and then Steve wants to share some things about boot camp. I want to share a couple things about boot camp, but Steve will take over after this. So I just have a short little -- look at your Bibles in John 12. And that's -- okay, John, chapter 12 -- John, chapter 12, verse 35 -- then Jesus told him, "You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark doesn't know where he's going. Put your trust in the light while you have it so that you may become sons of light when you have finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them." And so Jesus says, "You only have the light a little while longer. You got to walk in the light while you have the light before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark doesn't know where he's going. Put your trust in the light while you have it so you may become sons of light." And Jesus is basically saying, "You know, you've got to be aware that we're not -- that we -- to make sure that we act upon what we've been taught. That it's so important that we have a heart to do what God has asked us to do, that we are open books in a sense, that we walk in the light." And look over to Matthew, chapter 6. Jesus speaking here, of course, from the famous Sermon on the Mount, Matthew, chapter 6 -- bless you. Matthew, chapter 6. The boundaries in verse 19, "Don't store up treasures for yourself on earth where moth and rust destroy, where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness?
