Or as it's now known, Juneteenth. Juneteenth is a new federal holiday. And it's a holiday that originated in Texas as we talked about before. But now, because of the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, it gained national attention. And of course, politicians like Joe Biden couldn't wait to go to jump out there and turn this into a national holiday. They saw a chance to pander to the African American community and elevate this. Although I dare say many of the African American community had never heard a Juneteenth before 2020. So it begs the question, was this necessary? Well, look, I don't have a problem with it. New holiday, but the issue, if you recall, if you go back to the show up recorded on Wednesday, the issue I had was the fact that they're calling it Independence Day. Independence Day already exists. And it's just a couple of weeks away. It's the Fourth of July. That is Independence Day. And my concern was that this would be an attempt to phase out the Fourth of July holiday. And if you say, well, that's never going to happen. That's ridiculous thought. If you go and you research just a little bit, you can see where left wing writers and folks during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protest, they started saying things like Juneteenth, not the Fourth of July, was the real Independence Day. They wrote things that said it is difficult to take pride in being an American on the Fourth of July because of the intolerance and oppression still present in society today. And to that, I say, nothing keeps you here. If you're so ashamed of the country, you can leave, but that's not what you want to do. You would rather change everything and try to destroy traditions that a lot of Americans hold dear. We've all celebrated the Fourth of July since we were born. We shouldn't be trying to change it. After I recorded that show, I did receive a couple of messages or calls from people saying that no, no, that they're not going to try to do away with the Fourth of July. This has nothing to do with the Fourth of July, but it did because when you look up and you see what almost happened at Tyson Foods, the Daily Wire discovered this and called it out, but apparently there were emails that showed that the poultry giant was selling shirts for its annual Juneteenth celebration that say the holiday was the true nation's independence day. One shirt just simply said Juneteenth is my independence day. Fine, if that's how you feel. Okay, but then they couldn't just stop there. They had another t-shirt that had July 4th date crossed out on it and underneath it read Juneteenth 1865 because my ancestors weren't free in 1776. Many of the t-shirts incorporated the Black Power Fist. So this lie here or this attempt that they tried to make in selling these shirts, there were emails out there that the Daily Wire found. So of course they reached out to Tyson Foods and their Virginia office said they didn't know anything about it and ordered to cancel the cell and refund any employee who purchased a shirt. Days later, a spokesperson for Tyson said it was unaware of the t-shirt designs and their official statement here to the Daily Wire was Tyson Foods was unaware of the t-shirt designs proposed by a team member. Upon review, it was determined that the t-shirts do not meet the company's dress code policy and they will not be sold or distributed. Now again, they didn't tell you how it violated the policy. They didn't get into any of those details. The Arkansas-based corporation of course has faced criticism for years for embracing far left policies. It openly declared earlier this year that it wanted to hire as many illegal immigrants as it could. It also has on its website a diversity, equality, and inclusion tab that highlights the existence of multiple international identity groups. So again, I'm sorry, Tyson, but if you do just a little bit of research into you, it looks like you probably were 100% on board with this t-shirt until somebody found out. And the biggest problem, again, besides the fact that it's trying to cancel out the holiday that celebrates the birth of this nation, is the fact that they did this, they talk about how they want diversity and inclusion and equality. You don't really care about inclusion because again, if I'm somebody who holds the Fourth of July holiday as a sacred holiday, do you think I'm going to feel very included working next to people with a t-shirt that has it crossed out? Again, this is the game the left plays they try to take and replace. They try to cancel and replace. We've seen monuments come down. So why is it so far fetched for some of you to believe that they will 100% attempt to try to cancel the Fourth of July holiday? Tyson Foods at least canceled the sale of the t-shirts, but I just think that's too little too late, especially when you dive into the history of this company. Look, there are other products out there. I don't have to buy any Tyson Foods products and guess what? I probably won't moving forward because I'm not going to support a company that puts fourth values like this. It's time we start to stand up to these companies. Remember, we did it against Bud Light and it's time to make companies like Tyson Foods feel or wrath because guess what? This is ridiculous. The Fourth of July is Independence Day. Juneteenth is a Texas day that pandering politicians decided to make a national holiday, but it is not going to replace Independence Day.
