Well Being with Don Oakley

Trailer - The Hard Problem of Consciousness

In neuroscience and psychiatry, the "hard problem of consciousness" has been a stumbling block. The hard question is: "How is consciousness generated from the wet mass of brain cells in our head?" Of course, if you proceed based on a false assumption, you will never get a true answer. (That's what makes it hard.) Scientists can locate various parts of the brain that are associated with different experiences and abilities, but have never located the seat of consciousness. Do we just need to give them more time to figure it all out or is the whole approach flawed from the get-go?
