The Billie and Lisa Morning Show is live, and back from vacation, let's go with the forecast. First, high heat, high humidity. Here we go again today, highs in the 90s. Sunny tomorrow, even warmer, highs about 97 degrees, and then scattered thunderstorms on Wednesday. Meantime, Boston Mayor, Michelle Wu, has declared a heat emergency for the entire week this week. Top stories, former President Trump, lucky to be alive, having survived the assassination attempt. He's arrived in Milwaukee for the Republican convention. In fact, he arrived even earlier than expected. The convention kicks off today, most likely with added security. I feel very, very confident in the security situation here in Milwaukee. I have passed that on to my delegation and to delegations and other state chairs. I'm very confident about the scary situation here in Milwaukee for this convention for the whole week. President Biden, last night speaking to the nation about the assassination attempt. There's no place in America this kind of violence, for any violence ever. Period, no exceptions. We can't allow this violence to be normalized. You know, the political record in this country has gotten very heated. It's time to cool it down. The Fed's still looking for some kind of a motive. The 20-year-old shooter had an AR rifle supposedly bought by his father. He just barely missed the former president, bought his bullets, killed a man, and severely wounded two others. The bullet actually went right by this woman's face. This is that first shot happened. It was like I almost followed it. I watched Trump go down to the ground and then boom, boom. The other two shots came and then you watched like the Secret Service like were on him. Like by the time that third shot come, like they were already on him. Another focus this morning, the how and why this shooter was able to get that close. A lot of that focus on the Secret Service back to the convention. Nikki Haley now has been invited to attend and she will be there expected to arrive tomorrow. Other stories just announced target will no longer accept personal checks. I think the bigger story is they were actually accepting personal checks. While we were away, Stop and Shop announcing they are closing more than 30 stores. The Despicable Me movie won the box office again this past weekend taking in another 44 million. Sadly, we lost several celebrities while we were away. Shannon Daugherty, Richard Simmons and Dr. Ruth. Carlos Alcaraz won the men's Wimbledon championship yesterday. The Red Sox beat the Royals yesterday. 5-4.
