And I think he wants to talk about something legitimately about this show. And he wants to show me more videos of people being mutilated and dragged and mauled. No, he's he's he's he's hyping it up. It's not. I'm fascinated because Michelle, your beautiful wife, who's a dear friend of all of ours. Yeah. She thinks she's and arrow. Oh, she really does. She really does. And it's really, it's really cute. And you know what Billy was showing me some videos of like the Gorilla's Nest. It's this resort in Africa. No, listen to this lease. You go there. It's a it's a resort. And then you go out with a gorilla expert into the wild. Yeah, they're not in cages. They're going right. Oh, yeah. Next year, she's doing her own trip to the gorillas. You will not be with her for that trip. You need to know something about her love of gorillas. If I were mauled on the expedition, she would walk over my mauled and mutilated body to get to the gorillas. Well, she's like a gorilla whisper. She's like Jane Austen exactly. Jane Austen. I was just overhearing that Billy is going on safari in Africa. And I'm also going on safari in Africa. And people also send me a boatload of videos of people getting killed or like trampled by elephants or whatever. But I want to know if they had any tips or any advice on what to travel with. Yeah. I have to. I don't know anything about it. Cargo pants. Cargo pants. You know, yesterday, friends were asking me where I'm going in Africa. I couldn't tell them. Oh, my God. He's going to be like, you know, those dads that go to, like, Dix or like, you know, one of those, you know, what's the other, like the Bass Pro shop. And they have those ugly, like, shoes on, like the fly fishermen. Yeah. Oh, my God. He's going to stick out like a sore. Oh, my God. I would die to see that. So let me ask you this, Billy. Is there any, like, part of you that's jealous at all at her, her love for the girl? Oh, um, seems to be really. I got to tell you, it's bizarre how connected she is to a gorillas. It's bizarre. And it makes me feel so inadequate. Right. Well, you know what? I mean, because if she's eyeballing gorillas, which you are with me, I know, you know, you need to do, you need to switch your whole game plan. No, Billy, you need to switch the whole game plan out. Meaning what? Exactly. You need to come at a different angle. You need to be more aggressive like this. King Kong, ain't got **** on me. I think you should go while they watch Tarzan, and that will give you some inspiration. And she can be Jane, and you can meet Tarzan. Oh, that's very playful. Yeah. Yeah. I love my cargo outfit. I think like me Tarzan, you. Yeah, honey. Let's go, baby. It's Safari time. Coffee time. Billy and Lisa kiss 108. We got weird stories. Let's go. Oh, I love this story. A group of high school seniors in a small Maryland town. It's called Pasadena. They love their Trader Joe's, and they don't really have one close by. So the group of seniors put up a huge yellow banner in the town with the with the Trader Joe's logo and a QR code. Saying that it was coming soon, but the whole thing was a hoax. Yeah, I wonder why when people, you know, excited, scan the QR code, they got Rick Roll. Which is people are like, you know, the song came out in the 80s. He's a high school student, and they chose that song. It's so great. Pretty cool. Yeah. Okay, Justin. And when he stand by to walk me through this, we're going to have a conversation about the main man, a young fellow. Yes, we don't do much young thug on the Billy and Lisa. No, now he's in jail. Right? He's in jail. He's been on trial for a long time. A long list of charges, including racketeering gun drug, a gun drug charges and gang activity. And yesterday, his lawyer was arrested for contempt. But here's the funny part. He was sentenced to 10 weekends in jail. And he says to the judge, listen, if my appeal is denied, could I spend time in the same lock up as thug? Yeah. And the judge said, yes. So basically what happened is the lawyer. There's been so much, so much controversy on this trial. But the lawyer was refusing to reveal a source. Yeah. And the judge warned him. And he just wouldn't give it up. So in the middle of court yesterday, the judge said custody. Okay. Well, then you made you made you made it. You made it. Now we're not doing that at this point in time. So you'll have a choice to make. Take Mr. C on the custody, please. Yeah. And so they let him out of court. And yeah, he wants to do his weekends with young thug. Well, he said he wants to prepare because he would prepare every weekend. Like he's on the phone with him. He goes, if I'm in jail, I can't be on the phone with him. So I need to be in the same jail. Yeah, he's going to be hanging out with him in the case. Yeah, a little young thug. Yeah. That case with the care and retrial to the craziest cases. Yeah, I guess some young thug going on there. Yeah. You never want to hear custody from the judge. Yeah. You know, the bailiffs come over. They cuff you. They put you in the bullpen. It's just not. It took his jacket and top it off. His lawyer is a rare one, though. He's standing by his client. Yeah. Wait, what have you got? Okay, this is not weird. It's not weird. It's kind of weird, but it's a nice story. I guess a girl was a 15 year old girl was attacked by a shark and there was a bunch of medical professionals on a vacation and they helped save her life. But she's still lost. She lost the body. I know. They did help save her life. They did. Yeah. But yeah, she's alive. 15 year old Lulu Gribbon was rushed to the hospital with devastating injuries. Her family says she lost her left hand and right leg. A friend she was in the water with 17 year old McCrae Faust was also bitten, but got away with just minor flesh wounds to her foot. I mean it's a nice story. I didn't mean it was like nice as in like it was, you know what I mean? She's alive. Yeah, they saved her. They saved her. That was a nice part. They saved her life. You know what, at least, at least has a nice story. Go ahead, at least 15 year old Lulu Gribbon was rushed to the hospital with devastating injuries. Her family says she lost her left hand and right leg. That's not nice. So weird. I had a dream last night that I was attacked by a shark. You watch the shark movie though recently. This is her. Yeah, at least. All right. So researchers Bill from Colorado State University used a machine to study 470 unique noises from elephants. They recorded in Kenya. And what the study revealed was that elephants can call each other by names. They communicate with each member of the herd. They can tell each other that they love each other. They respond with different noises. Oh boy. That's a nice story. Thank you for that. Very nice. It's better than the. Yeah, we got to move on. All that. Yeah, cicadas. Apparently the cicadas. I'm rising up. Yeah, this is a crazy day for weird stories. Not only are they rising up. Think about these cicadas, right? Well, in Chicago, they're infected with STDs and could cause your genitals to fall off. Oh my God. Well, something interesting about these insects is that they can carry a sexually transmitted fungus. It can affect as much as 10% of the population. You can tell if cicadas have this fungus because it's abdomen will be missing and they become what's known as zombie cicadas. Okay, you never want a bad fungus. Yeah. Right. Enough. Not only that, you ever notice the sharks never go for the genitals. Now, they go for the most accessible body part, yeah, who picks these weird stories you oh, yeah, oh, yeah, okay, all right Actually a nice story, okay. Oh wait. Are you sure it's a nice story? Lisa's hard Kite surfer was rescued after spelling help out on the beach so old-school went old-school to actually spell to help in the sand Yeah, and they found her did he lose his arm or his hand? No, okay a creative So West got a kite surfer to safety after he got stranded on a Santa Cruz County Beach Cal fires CZU shared this video right here shows the rescue near a steep cliffside here south of Davenport Napen yesterday Officials say the kite surfer used rocks on the beach to spell out the words the word rather help You can see it there in the video a private helicopter saw that message called it in for systems No word on how long this surfer had been strained it there. We were told he was not hurt and only needed help Getting off of that beach now. That's a nice story. Yeah, it's very nice Lisa wants no part of us right now. I'm sorry. It's justin welcome back to the show and we had the boys with the bus in the studio because well They're doing something very cool with a bus Now to a group of high school seniors who are transforming a standard yellow school bus And to a camper for the ultimate cross country summer road trip and it's all for school credit Yeah, now there's been a bit of a change first of all welcome guys. Thank you so much. We're so excited to be here It's even more exciting than a bc in good morning america Yeah, we're feeling the love we're feeling the excitement Now you guys were telling me off the year It started with how many guys this bus that you bought used and kind of tricked out It's about 10 guys fully on their project Or five guys fully on their project and then 10 people helping out when they can coming around and doing different different jobs Uh-huh, and the bus How much did you pay for the bus and how bad in condition was it? Yeah, so yeah, we actually bought it on facebook marketplace for $7,000 which we thought was a steal and did not know you could buy buses At seven grand it was a steal was it in pretty good shape. Yeah, so actually the bus was from california initially Which means it has no rust because it's kind of oh there you go. That's like having a boat that was on the lake all the time Something like yeah, okay. It doesn't appreciate it as much. Okay, so now you're gonna head off on a journey Now where's the journey taking you? Um, so we're hoping to finish up the bus in a few days Maybe a week and then we're gonna take some smaller trips around the northeast Sort of figure out how to actually live on a bus because 10 people in a bus is crazy Especially like a 25 foot bus. Oh boy. Yeah, it's not a full length school bus that people might imagine right? It's kind of a mini bus. That's a short bus with 10 of you living and sleeping How and what do you eat during this journey? Well, we have Sebastian. You're gonna be okay The short bus did it It's okay, you can laugh Yeah, so where were we where's the so where in the country are you guys going initially for the main? Yeah, who's mapping this out for you? Well, we're gonna we're gonna do we're gonna send a google format to all of our followers and Ask them for their location and what to do in that location And hopefully we'll get back this huge map of everything we can do in the country And then sort of draw a line from dot to dot to dot all the way to california and maybe touch the pacific at the end Now we need to mention that you've amassed 2.2 million followers on instagram in about three weeks That's part of the story, right? 100% Yeah, it's been a not a part of the story we thought was gonna happen But it's definitely been kind of a crazy, right? Well, we want to be honest with you selfishly. That's the main reason Wanted to have you guys in because we want to know how we can capitalize on your we need the bus bump Yeah, by the time the journeys over you probably have 20 million followers Yeah, we think that a lot of the reason why people like following our journey is because It's inspiring to see a group of people a group of friends Just decide to do something and really execute on it And I think that's something that we've really been excited about just the ability that we've had to be able to Oh, no, we don't know how to do something. Let's watch a youtube video and get it done Ah, oh, I do that a lot Yeah, I do but what are the living accommodations going to be like because now it's 10 guys I don't think originally 10 guys were going on the journey, right? Yeah, I think we originally thought we were only going up eight or nine. Yeah, and so We only put in five beds. Yeah And these are very small beds, right? Yeah, they're three bunk beds And we have two kind of tables and seats that convert also into beds And then we're just going to have a bean bag where someone can sleep a couple hammocks and hopefully a tent on our roof deck Spend the night in a bean bag. Oh under the stars on the roof. Yeah, what about rain and extreme wind? So do you not really hope that doesn't happen? I'm just saying you might want to have a plan So who's driving the bus? Yeah, so I think there's a few of us that we are we believe our fit to drive But we're definitely going to go to driving school kind of figure it out And go from there Have you thought about the possibility that halfway through the journey? One or two of you might just say i'm out of here. Oh 100% I think we're placing beds at this point. I was going to say is there any side beds on this who goes first? We have three beds right now on who's who's going to go first, but Once again, if you just tuned in we've got Ben Rhodes craft Ben seagull Sebastian Romero all of them from Milton academy Now, which one of you played tennis with max donovan? I did that was me at least his son. Yes. Uh, is he any good? Can you be no? No, I cannot be him God those wacky donovan boys I'm just saying how about eating how are you going to eat? What are you going to eat? How are you going to prepare it? So we have a big fridge like it it was actually it's a ginormous fridge that we slide into the kitchen And we also have an we're hoping to do an electric griddle assuming it doesn't fry our battery when we plug it in Yeah, um and we'll like cook eggs on it. Maybe um we'll have a little kitchen there This is going to be an incredible experience. Is there a bathroom or a shower in the bus? A good point. We are we're working on it. Uh right now there is not but we are we're hoping to get something in We could always do the plant fitness thing like that was that we talked about Well, I'm sorry. What's the plan of fitness? All over the country Yeah, people if they like don't have a reliable shower like people that live in buses or means they get a $10 You know car to plant fitness and they can shower, right? There you go. Yeah. Well, that's right. How are you gonna wash? Like is there running water? No, there can't be we do have running water for a sink, but showers are going to be a different story Oh boy. Oh, you know, you figure it out The way so Take me back to when you got the beat up bus. Okay, uh, what was the most difficult thing you had to do to get the bus ready? I guess getting it ready the uh, we were kind of like we started by just ripping everything out Uh and one of the hardest parts was like I don't know this like that plastic liner on the bottom of the bus Like right when you walk in and it just took us. I don't know three four days with like pick x is essentially just trying to scrape the plastic Off them really yeah, see, I've never had to do that. So I wasn't aware there was a plastic. I neither did we Hey, you're tearing the floor up on a school bus Well, they this was part of a school project. So you guys had a timeline right or a time frame that you had to get it done by correct Yes, correct. Are you nervous? Oh super super super nervous. We did not think we could do it Um, but it's been really great to see everyone kind of show up and work really hard What's the most advanced technology you're gonna have on board? Like an iPad is that it phone? That's it. That's all you need. We have some fancy electric electrical stuff. We have a big battery Um and ben can talk more about what they're yeah Yeah, yeah, we uh we actually we file just a ton of different youtube videos We'll have some solar on the top charging the batteries during the day Uh and also the alternator and the engine will also charge some of the batteries So we're hoping that gets us kind of enough to charge our phones Keep seagull running the instagram and Well speaking of technology. You have any good prank stories and And I couldn't really think of one, but then it hit me wait a minute Uh several years ago, right Donovan? I went to vegas for the very first iHeartRadio music awards Yes, which is so ironic because it's coming up again, right But yeah, so you were going to vegas and you brought your best friend dukey who's been on the show before and uh matt decided that he was gonna prank you um At the hotel the hotel in vegas. Okay. Again. I wasn't here. I was in vegas But you've got a clip of what happened on this end, right? Yeah, well. Yeah, so so matt called the hotel and mind you you're going with your best friend two guys Right in a room that you know would have two beds, right? Calling the belagio hotel. This is mary. Hi mary could i have the front desk, please Something I'll connect to the front desk. You have a good. Thank you Thank you for calling blusher front desk. This is clean home. Is this you? Yeah, hi Uh, my name is uh, william costa bill costa and i'm going to be checking in Uh this afternoon part of the iHeart group Okay, and um, I wonder if you could help me out with something um I'm traveling with a male Companion and we had an awkward experience last time we traveled So could you just put me down for a one king size bed so they don't ask when we're standing there because my friend is Sensitive. They say right So wait Okay, so Again I had no idea this happened on this end with lisa and matt right no idea So I walk up to the front desk in vegas the ballachio hotel And uh, and she gives me my room and duke and i take you know And if you've been to vegas, you know, it takes forever to get to the room the whole way so like three miles So we get all the way up to the room with the bellhop who's taken the luggage and and then we open the door and we walk in And immediately dukee and I look at each other and say okay. This is weird Like pal. There's only one bed. He said, um, it said I don't know is there a problem. I said well, I mean We're not together You know, we need two beds so he picks up the house phone and calls down to the front desk And they say oh no, they they made it very clear They needed one bed And they you know They just didn't want to be embarrassed that one of them was a little sensitive His first gay trip billy was so mad that he had to walk all the way back down to the lobby and and Get like two rooms Yeah, because i'm arguing at the counter when the woman said no, I have it right here in the record, sir You are bill costa right from boston and part of the ihard group and it says right here specifically one bed And you're right. I yell at i'm not gay Okay I don't know about the guy behind me not that there's anything wrong with that But he and I are not an item and we're gonna need two beds So now they had to put us in a separate tower because it was a very busy weekend with the ihard award Time billy doesn't know that it was right And then when i called into the show, you know matt and lisa say so how's it going in vegas kind of a thing And i'm saying you're not gonna believe what happened And then i come to realize it was them imagine what billy was saying Because i would not stop talking about it That's a really great now wasn't there one down the hall At the jammin show that really went viral so to speak Yeah, so you know before I worked on this show. I was a producer for jammin and it was romero and saunty And ashley who had just started as a host of that show And so the prank on april fulls day was that saunty and i were gonna get into a fist fight Because there was ongoing tension with us because jan who was my wife now she was my girlfriend This is a in real life. She thought saunty was being a bad influence on me Honestly, probably yeah So that was an ongoing thing so it would make sense that we would kind of have words Yeah So, you know We kind of got into a studio and ashley had to come into the studio and i have the audio no way of us fighting Oh, let's play it. You can hear the panic You can hear the panic in her voice She didn't know right she had no idea right but then you can hear me screaming like talking to it's my girl Right Oh So we're fighting we're literally i tackled them. I was punching them. Yeah, and she's screaming romero came in We had that it was a whole thing. Wow. She was crying. She was crying. She was easily cryer Well, mind you too. She just started this jump right in these dry guys aren't getting along And the other part of it is, you know, they kind of knew my past a little bit So that makes it even more sure kind of realistic. Yeah, you don't want to But I got a note A hypothetical. Mm-hmm. You and saunty in the street fight with I mean, come on. You know, the answer you got to be careful No, honestly, I would say just then saunty's kind of soft. Yeah, no, I'm sure He'll give it the old college try.
