Or in some cases, the best places for a first date, right, trust me? Well, it's because of a list that's gone viral on the internet of the 28 places not to take a first date. So let's go to Lauren first and see what she thinks. Lauren, what do you think? I mean, there's a few things. I mean, I have a first one. I mean, a good one, a bad one. I don't want to go to the mall. I feel like that. I don't want to watch anybody else shop. I agree with you. I don't think they want to watch me shop. The working out one. Now, I know that wouldn't that would be a no for me. However, I'm assuming that it may start there. Kind of thing. Hey, you want to work out together tomorrow. I could picture that being something like a first like hangout kind of day. But then going off the coffee in the walk. I mean, I could see going to maybe ice skating. That's cute as an activity. Yeah. Yeah, as an activity. That seems like so old school. Yeah. Well, it depends on where you are. Okay. Maybe the frog pond something like that. I think that's what she should, you know, suggesting. Yeah, Lisa is full of good ideas. If you're a listener, audience, listen to what Lisa says. She's had several good ideas. But yeah, everyone's talking about this coffee. The coffee thing. No, no coffee. See, I always thought that would be the perfect thing. You talk, you get to know each other and decide whether or not you want to go. Oh my God, I have a date this Saturday. We're going on a coffee date. What's wrong with that? I like the idea. Yeah, it's because of Winnie. She has unrelenting hate. I have been listening to you guys forever and I literally die every time that coffee dates come up and Winnie gives her cake. I mean, her unrelenting hatred towards coffee days. But here's the thing about winning coffee dates. It's okay. That's her opinion and that's fine. No, and it's yeah, the money thing. There's a money aspect. Oh, I also here's one thing you have to remember. She's single and she's been single. So obviously whatever you're doing isn't working. Maybe a coffee date is. I'm not going on a coffee day. I will be single until I die before I say let's go to Duncan for a day. I like Duncan. But what's wrong with it? I'm not going to because I just feel like it's lazy. You're not putting in enough thought. You're just saying, let's go grab a cup of coffee. I see my friends. Hey, you have an hour. I have time. You want to grab some coffee because we don't have time for a full on lunch or dinner. But you're meeting for the first time. It doesn't hurt. Listen, I think it's 2023. You want to know everything about me? Go on my Instagram. Ask me quite text me. Call me. You don't need to go and have a 30 minute interview if you want to go on a date with me. Yeah, it seems you're right. It's a good way of putting it. It feels like you're being interviewed. Yeah. I don't know. It's just awkward. God, God, you're just always going to be single. Fine. With my own coffee. Single without going out for coffee and I think she'll be perfectly happy. Just get your own coffee and go home alone. It's going to be. Hey, Pete. What's up, Pete? You guys were talking about that list and the first dates and I've got one that's not on the list and I think you all think it's crazy. But I took now my wife to my brother's wedding as a first date and I was in the wedding, so I wasn't even with her. Oh, wow. That's so on the list. Yeah. I'm putting that on top of list. If he's the rooms man, I'm on piece plus one. Yeah. So she had to hang out with my mom and dad. Didn't even know him. Wow. Why did you do that? Well, so a little backstory. I knew her in high school. She's three years younger, so I was a senior and I was in the same class as her sister. So I knew of her because we were in the same high school, but I didn't hang out with her. And then right before I went to college, we hung out one night and we hit it off and I asked her to go to the wedding. And she said, yeah, and 27 years later and three kids. Everything's great. So you just didn't want to go to the wedding alone? Well, pretty much, Billy. You got it. But she did know your family. There was some connection. You knew her sister. I knew her sister, but my brother's role there on the baby, so she knew nobody in my family. She didn't know my brother was getting married, my sister-in-law. Well, it worked out. She's a keeper. Yeah. Three kids later. How about that? All right, let's get Sean's perspective. Sean, what do you think? Hey, can you hear me? I'm in the car right now. Yes, we can. Okay, great. So the best date I ever planned was picnics on the grass along the Charles and Harvard Square and brought some canvases and some acrylics and some brushes. And we just painted and talked and it was phenomenal. That's so cute. Wow, that's a lot of thought. I really like you. And not super expensive. Right. You don't have to have an expensive date for it to be nice and thoughtful. It's so true. Are you a painter? Because you're actually doing something, but you're talking at the same time. So it's active and fun and you're getting to know each other. So yeah, definitely do that. Are you a painter? No, no, I'm just sort of creative. That's amazing. That's a great idea. Good for you. Sean, are you single, Sean? I am. I'm 55 and single. Never married. Yeah, God. You probably shouldn't have gone to the river for the painting. He told him, I mean, it just didn't work out. Not really. You know what it sounded better than it is. It really is. God, it's like the pottery thing. It's, you know, like, let's go to Brook Brook. Good morning. What do you think? Good morning. So we saw the list last night, my boyfriend and I, and the number one was cheesecake factory. And that was actually our first date. And it was the worst first date ever. Oh, why? How do you get a second date? Well, actually, I don't know, but I was a junior in college. So I showed up severely hungover. So that was my own fault. But yeah, four years later, we're still together. So I guess it ended up working out. The factory is always an option for everything. Yeah. I didn't see a problem. I think it's inaccurate, but I think a lot of those stuff on the list were. Emma, what do you think? Hi. Good morning. I've listened to you guys for years. I previously was calling in initially saying, you know, my first date with my now husband was probably on the list of things not to do. But you just had a caller who also called in. He took his wife on the first date to his brother's wedding. My now husband actually took me on our first date to his sister's wedding. He was also in the wedding party and sitting with his entire family. We were now together for 13 years, also have three tips. So maybe there is something about families and weddings. I don't know. Yes. So the list is wrong. There would be success stories. When you went on the date, though, were you nervous? Like, how did it make you feel? I had known him like we had like hung out and we had mutual friends. And he like called me the night before because his other friend was going to come. He didn't want to go to his sister's wedding before. And like, so we were like friends. I had never met anyone in his family. I was I was 21. I figured like, what the hell? Let's go. I've never been to a wedding. And it was it was nervous. I ended up hanging out with like his entire family. It never met any of them, but it worked out really well. And now, you know, I love this family. So did you get up and dance when the DJ was playing the lame songs and everything? Oh, yeah. That's good, though. You were all in. I like that. Yeah. Did you get up and try to catch the bouquet? No, no, it's not. Right? Exactly. Hey, guys. It is Ryan. I'm not sure if you know this about me, but I'm a bit of a fun fanatic when I can.
