Now, this morning show in Boston, Billy and Lisa in the morning. It's just a great start to my day on kiss 108. Hey, that's us. The Billy and Lisa morning show. We're all here. We're all ready to go. And we all survived the incredible storms last night. What a crazy night. It must have been crazy on the boat, right? Oh, man. Yeah, I was. I had to do an event at Bianca restaurant at Chestnut Hill. By the way, beautiful place. We had a citizens bank event last night, but I got stranded in the parking lot at Chestnut Hill, the street at Chestnut Hill because I went in the front door when I got there and it was fine out. But then I left back by mistake in the back door. They both looked the same. So I went in the wrong direction and it was pouring out like lightning thunder and I had no umbrella and I had to walk a great distance to the car. Did you think your car was stolen at first? No, I was like, okay, am I having a bad dream? I know where I am. I've been to the street many times in Chestnut Hill and then it suddenly dawned on me. Oh, I left the other side of the building. So I finally got in my car. Yeah, it was crazy in Boston Harbor and at the boat. And a lot of people lost power last night. You know what it was? Impact weather. That's what it was, right? Definitely impact weather last night. And we're looking at video from not only here, but around the country, the weather has been insane, but it didn't stop the concerts and it didn't stop Winnie because you went to Chris Brown. We're going to get your full report coming up in the entertainment in a couple of minutes, but you're happy with the show. Oh, it's phenomenal. Okay, we'll leave it at that for now. And by the way, Zach Brian was at Gillette Stadium last night and producer Riley was there in the pouring rain, fully exposed. Oh boy. And we'll get her full report coming up in the entertainment report this morning. Was it Red Sox game canceled? Yes, it was. Very good question though, because they were in a rain delay and I'm like, okay, they got to call it at some point. Yeah, Zach Brian move his show up by 45 minutes because of the rain. I believe he did. He did. Yeah, it was a delay. I guess we'll have to ask producer Riley. Yeah, he seems like a very cool guy to Zach Brian. Yeah, his girlfriend from Massachusetts. He loves Massachusetts loves it here. He actually just bought a house here in Duxbury in Duxbury. Seven million dollars. Oh, he bought a beach house. Yeah, right on the water. Oh, Duxbury is beautiful. Yeah. And now all the all the kids are flocking to the house. I'm sure. Wow. That's like when Taylor bought her house in Rhode Island. Yeah. Oh God. Yeah. Everybody was there. Who do we do? Didn't Lenny Clark sneak on Taylor's property? Yeah, did. In Rhode Island. Anyway, all that was going on. And now we got Timberlake coming into town this weekend, but Janet Jackson's tomorrow night and you're going to that lease. We are. This is a big concert week. It's huge, huge concert week. And you know what's going on with the concerts this week? The Billy and Lisa Morning Show is fully engaged. Yes, we are. One of us or some of us are at every single one of these concerts because the Costas and the Dunnevins will be at Timberlake this weekend, as will you, Wendy, right? Yeah, me and my girlfriend are going. Wow. All right. So we got everything covered. Oh, you're going to Justin Timberlake, Bill? Yes, I am. You bet I am. Good for you. Yes, sir. I'm going. The only thing missing right now, one of us has to dress in pink and go down to the courthouse in. Oh my God. I thought about it. Not dressing in pink, but I thought about going down the court. I mean, I live like 15 minutes and then not even, but like there's literally nowhere to park and then you're going to walk and I don't care. You live nearby. Yeah, you got to dress in pink and get on there today. Okay, maybe I don't want to find it. All right, on assignment. That's a lot. Yeah, it's a lot. I do. I have an air appointment. We'll get pink hair. No. And go. But anyway, Karen read the jury is still out still no verdict. It could come at any moment. There were some testing moments inside the courthouse. Very much so yesterday. And we've got topic time again this morning. And we'll discuss the Karen retrial and what's going on with that. Yeah, no that's not. No Katherine Loftus today. Yes, we should mention she under the weather. Well, after yesterday's a little back and forth. She has a headache. So in the courtroom, there was a little incident. Well, think about it. Yeah, there's no better time to be under the weather, as they say, because the weather has been crazy. Oh, yeah. I'm just saying. And there's a presidential debate tonight. That's going to be a crazy scene. Yeah, I'm going to bed. I'm not even on nine o'clock. Are you kidding me? Too late. I gave all my time to the Celtics. Yeah, I've given all my time to the Karen read trial. Yes. Yeah. And honestly, we don't talk about politics here. Never. What do we really need to? Never. Never. But I don't think we've ever had two presidents to be at the end of the day. There's going to be a guy halfway to his grave as our president. That's all you need to know. At the end of the day, one of the other. That's not going to have any of the consequences of his actions. God. What a crazy thing. And I before it happens. Like, that's what we need to know. I think people listening to the show understand why we don't talk politics. Oh, everybody's angry. They're on one side of the other. No point to it. It's all negative. They come to us for an escape. Yeah. Listen. Yes. And a few laughs. I know. Don't get me started on. And I think that's basically what they get from the Billy. I think so. So if you're listening right now and you know anybody else in your circle of friends or your life that really needs an escape from their life, make sure they're listening to us in the morning. I like that. But we'll get the full reports on Zack Brian and on Chris Brown last night and so much more going on. Shabuzzi says he's dropping the biggest song of all time. Tomorrow. And Post Malone has another new song. We'll talk about it. It's all coming up in entertainment. And that is next from the Planet Fitness Kiss 108 studios. We're back with a Billy and Lisa in the morning. On Kiss 108. Hey guys. So welcome back and a happy Thursday to you. We have a new thing in the morning on the Billy and Lisa morning show. We kind of start the show with greetings from the mayor. I was going to say that, you know, the mayor of the South End who's a talk backer. I feel like he has his own segment now. Yeah. We don't pay him or anything. But you know what, he keeps delivering on that talk back. Mike, I'll tell you. Good morning. It's the mayor of the South and I do have pink outfits. But I refuse to go down to the court today because today I'm having my masseuse Carlos is coming over today. But I have one of my foot for those people down at the courthouse. They need to have a cocktail and get a life and on TV or on TV, whatever the hell her name is. She needs to take a rest. Bye. Yeah, a couple of things here. Did he say Carlos is coming over to to rub him down? Yes, he is. Because I'm Carlos, man of love. By the way, around the world, they got my name and Carlos, man of love. I'm wondering if the mayor of the South End is going to be at the Donna Summer disco ball on City Hall Plaza tonight. I'm shocked that that wasn't in his talk back. Yeah, that's good. That goes down tonight. All right, let's go hit it now. The entertainment update with the Billy Costa. Okay, Chris Brown had his show in the TD Garden last night. Justin's wife, Jen was there. Did you talk to her after the show, Justin? No, I did not. But she was posting videos of him on stage with polls. You know, you can do the polls on the Instagram story. Sure, you can. And it said, should I choose C breezy or just a B's? Okay, I know who I'm choosing. When are you were there? I was there. Tell us about it, Chris Brown. I was packed house. I mean, it was amazing electric key. I've seen him plenty times. He is really, really great performer. The dancers. We had about, I think 18 dancers. Wow. I mean, his dancing and singing and his mic was all the way on and all the way up. He's saying for egg 40 songs. Excuse me. Can I stop it? Can you get to what we really want? The bulge? Yeah, I was flying around. He was flying. He was safe in the harness. There was no real bulge. Oh, I mean, he's, you know, he's a well endowed man, but like it wasn't like protruding out at you. Did you have your little binoculars? No, I didn't need them. You don't need them. Well, that was part of your assignment. We wanted to get a close up. I do have a video for you, Billy, that I will show you. If you go to my Instagram in Winnie's World, you know, a little close up of him. But yeah, no, it was an amazing show me my best friend right now. Were you invited backstage for the hanky-panky? No, but I was feral the whole two hours. I was like, literally, I was like, who am I? Like, feral, like for two whole hours. Yeah. Wow. But you were not invited for the ceremony backstage. No, what is the little ceremony backstage? He does this thing where he has re-ingrites, where you, it's like $1,000, which if you're a big fan of him, it's not horrible. And he will literally do any pose you want. He'll hug you. He'll pick you up. So he'll actually spend the time to talk to you. And then he actually will pose with you, like however you want. So there's girls that have asked to, like, have him pick him up or, like, they'll, like, embrace him like they're in a couple. And girls have really had their boyfriend's breakup and then over it. So he touches his little pad on the behind. With their permission. Right. Like, they're asking for, yeah, he's willing to do, because he's like, you paid good money to come. Like, I want you to have an experience, whatever you want, basically. It's like when they meet Billy. Billy did not pinch my butt. Billy groped my butt. Yeah. So, all right. Meantime, outside of town in Gillette Stadium, Zach. Brian was there. And so were you producer Riley. I was. How was the show? It was good. I was good. The first range show I've ever been to. So that was fun. Honestly, when it, when the sky opened up, it really dumped on us. Were you prepared? Did you have a poncho? I did not. Oh, you got soaking wet. I was soaking wet. But it was fun. Wow. Was it a delay? Did you have to wait around or? Yeah. So at the beginning, there was like a ton of lightning strikes. So they pushed it like 20 minutes every time the lightning strike happened. And then he was set to go on at 8.30, because he pushed the concert up by 45 minutes. So he ended up coming on at like 8.50. He wasn't even really that late, because the opener was cut really short. Yeah. And Justin, we were saying he really loves Massachusetts. He bought a big home, right? A mansion down there in Duxbury. Yeah. Seven million. He spent on a house in Duxbury. It's beautiful. It's all over social media. You get a lot. People have shown up and taken videos of the house. That's a million in Duxbury. Forget you. Yeah, that's quite the property. Janet Jackson tomorrow night, the TD Garden. And Lisa, you've got a ladies night going to Janet Jackson. Yes. We're starting at Alcove. We'll make our way over to the garden. And Nellie is the opening. Love Nellie. Yeah. We had a kid concert before. Yeah. He's amazing. Yeah. And then of course, this weekend, the two Justin Timberlake shows Saturday. And Sunday nights. And most of us are going, right? Yep. The Donovan's and the Costas have a night out when he's going to Timberlake. And we've got the Timberlake double place still going on. It can happen at any moment this morning, but it will happen before 10 o'clock, which means you'll be college 25 when you hear two songs in a row. You get tickets to the show, but you qualify for the grand prize, which we're giving away tomorrow, right? Yes. Tomorrow, I won't announce it on the show. So the last time you can win is tonight with the V bros. And Lisa, what's the grand prize? You get basically everything. You get Justin Timberlake merch. You get to go to both shows at the Garden. And you get to stay overnight at the Revere Hotel in a suite. You get dinner on the rooftop and spa treatments. Wow. That's the whole thing. We're talking about Zach Brian, the country music. How about Post Malone now teasing another song. And this one is with Chris Stapleton. And we got a clip. If you ever had any question whether Post Malone's album was going to be country, I think you all know. It's a country album. He picks every country artist you could think of to be honest. Yeah, and all of the best in the business. Shaboozie now teaming up with David Getta for a remix of a bar song we have. Welcome to the grand DJ Costa. That's fun. Oh, yeah, that's a night out right there boy. Once David Getta is remixing your song, you've made it. Yeah. Totally. Producer Riley, you got to get that boy from yours. Take him out to the grand for the new track. Really? Oh, was I not supposed to? Yeah. Okay. Sorry about that. We can't tell him anything. You barely can't. Producer Riley, you might need to exit the app. I waited, I waited like four months to tell him I was dating a girl. He's just, yeah. You got to keep me out of here. I just got the biggest mouth on your phone. The leak. Oh, I'll never say anything on here. Hey, how's that girlfriend? Yeah. I promise. What's her name? KJ? Oh my god. Lil Nas X says he will drop the best song of all time. Tomorrow it's called Here We Go. By the way, it's from the new Beverly Hills comp movie. And this album, I really tried to be more actually of a student of music because I feel like I'm always a fan of music. I'm always listening to music for pleasure and for fun. But for this album, I'm always listening to music for pleasure and for fun. But for this album, I'm always listening to music. I'm always listening to music for pleasure and for fun. But for this album, I was listening to music as a student and going back to, you know, classic albums that I didn't grow up on because I come from a Latin household. And we listened to a lot of Latin albums and like Michael Jackson and the popular 80s hits. And like, that's it. You know, I listened to rap that I grew up with in Miami and what was popular at the time. But I didn't listen to, you know, Illmatic Dr. Dre and like a lot of like the classic hip hop albums from before. I didn't listen to Pink Floyd. I didn't listen to the Beatles. I think it's important to like always be studying what genres kind of influence the genres that are informing the genres now. Well, how many genres is she talking about? She mentioned Pink Floyd. Yeah. Classic hip hop and classic rock, apparently. The genre is inspiring. The genre is inspiring. You're a genre. Okay. Yeah. Under water. Yeah, but we saw the rippling water effect was doing some kind of photo shoot or some kind of event. Was it a water pipe? Do those still exist? Hey, I love this one. A Nickelback documentary dropped on Netflix yesterday deals with their success as a band, but also the anti Nickelback movement. Here's the trailer. The 2000s, there wasn't a band on the planet that got more radio air played than Nickelback. How you remind me has been considered one of America's most played songs ever. All of that exposure triggered a reaction. Why does everybody hate Nickelback? Nickelback, Nickelback, Nickelback, Nickel Creek. Nobody picks up a guitar to be in the most hated band. They were part of cancel culture before we had a name for it. It's kind of like a long running medium. They became the most hated band in music. We try and laugh it off. You could even laugh off about 90% of it and some of it, it hurts. Yeah, I never understood the Nickelback hate. I always liked them as a band. Does that make me lame? Okay, I'm lame. I like their music. I mean, how you, how you remind me was the number one most played song on radio in the 2000s. Amazing. Massive. And we just had two Justin Timberlake songs in a row, the double play in full effect. We were looking for Collar 25 and we have Collar 25 and Reese, it's you. Oh, thank you so much. I'm so excited. You know, Reese, you don't sound that excited. I got to be honest with you. It's just early in the morning, right? No, I am. Yeah, I'm just coming off of an overnight shift. I've been calling every morning. Oh, you're nerds? Yeah. Well, thank you for your service for us. When we love your name too, by the way, yes. Oh, thank you. So you're Collar 25. Okay, because you're going to be a Timberlake. It's true. So get some rest. And again, thank you for your service, Reese. Oh, there you go. Well, you know what, Reese is tired and I needed to think about it. She's just a little tired. Yeah, but you know what? You're going to perk up now because she's got the Timberlake tickets and who knows she could win the grand prize and we will announce the winner tomorrow. But Justin, I'm guessing you're going to tell us something about today. Yeah, I'm going to break the rules again. Three o'clock hour is your next shot for the double play with the visa. And you know, if you win, if you're tired, you can perk up a little bit. You know, show us, you know, you got to do it. Deal. Yeah, we understand if you're tired. I was tired and I needed to think about it. I mean, we're tired. You know what? It's been a long run. We were just talking about that off the year. It's been a long run for all of us. I mean, think about the Celtics, all the concerts coming to town. Lisa's been doing college tours with the kids. We've all been out late or up late a lot over the next year. And the Karen Reid trial. Oh, and then the read trial. That too. It's a full-time job. Lisa's exhausted. I am tired. Yeah. Okay. And annoyed. All right, another explosive day in the Karen Reid trial. We'll break it down in a few minutes right here. Kiss one of eight. Hey, guys, welcome back. And everybody still buzzing about the Karen Reid trial. Of course, the jury is deliberating. We could see a verdict at any minute. And I guess one of the big buzz stories around the read trial yesterday is there was a certain challenge between the judge and the defense. Something about the jury forms and something that the defense thought should be on the form that wasn't on the form. And I guess the judge finally gave in and now it is on the form for the jury, Justin. Yeah, there wasn't a knock guilty box for some of the some of the charges. The lesser charges. Yeah, the lesser charges only said guilty. And Alan Jackson was not happy about that. Right. Kind of explosive side that she's not guilty of involuntary manslaughter on that verdict. That's their decision to make. And how do they make it if they don't have an option to check a box that says not guilty? That's how it is, Mr. Jackson. Well, apparently that's how it's going to be because that's not how it should be. Our strong rejection. Yeah, apparently that's not how it's going to be going forward because she changed her mind and gave in to the defense. He filed a motion after that discussion. And they changed it. Yeah. Yeah. So typically we'd have Katherine Loftus on our attorney at large, our counselor. Yeah. But she's failing a little bit under the weather. She's well, she's a little tired. I was tired and I needed to think about it. Yeah. She'll be back tomorrow. But you know, but Alan Jackson was just doing his job. He was. And Catherine did break it down on her TikTok here about the verdict form. And she says that it is standard in Massachusetts and it can be changed. He's charged gets their own verdict slipped slip. This is standard in Massachusetts, but it doesn't mean that they can't change it. It doesn't mean that they can't have arguments about it. Sometimes, you know, the lawyers, the defense attorneys, the prosecutors go back and forth about how they wanted to read, what they wanted to look like, that kind of thing. I mean, I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know. But I thought it was interesting when when the judge said, you know, you're netdy knows what I'm talking about. Yeah. And then he said, I don't know what you're talking about. I've never seen this before. But, you know, you played it a couple of seconds ago, the judge saying I'm tired and that was another big buzz story that came out of the courtroom yesterday because eventually, Karen Reed, I guess, snickered or laughed in the judge kind of came at her. Yeah. Excuse me. This is funny, Miss Reed. Oh boy. Yeah. You don't want to. She has to hold it together. Yeah. A little bit. You know, you can't smile or laugh in front of the judge, especially during a 10 situation. But sometimes it just happens. You know, you can't control your emotions 100% of the time. I feel like the longer this goes on, the more we see Karen for who she probably is as a person. Probably not that likable, but probably not a murder. I don't know. I don't know. I get the smell. I get it. I think she was. But I think she was smirking at the fact that the judge said that she was tired. She was tired and I needed to think right. You see what's going on here right now? That's what's going on everywhere with this Karen retrial. Everybody is worked up. Did you notice they have camera crews from France, from Germany, from all over the world outside the courthouse, which is amazing to me. I thought the other thing that was interesting yesterday was that the jury asked for this cert report and the judge said that they all the evidence is in and there is nothing else that they will be receiving. There was no report because the people that were supposed to report it didn't do their job. Which is why we're here. It's the Massachusetts state police emergency response. That's why I was doing that report. How do they have no report? They have no report on that. That is insane. But does that make worry you that maybe this might go on longer deliberations? This is where I am at right now because I don't think she needs to panic until they want to come back like Monday. If they get this done before the weekend, I think it's probably going to be not guilty. The thing I think there might be going mulling over might be if they think that she's not guilty on murder, murder too. But they're like, oh, do we need to charge her with the OUI or leaving the scene? Maybe they're trying to figure out if that's what they're trying to, you know, because they don't know the law. So they go, okay, well, we know she didn't murder him, but did she leave the scene of the accident knowingly, like, type of thing? You know what I mean? Yeah, I don't see how she can walk from all of the charges. I mean, leaving the scene happened. Yeah, I think there's probably, you know, some, they're really taking a look at all the evidence. You know, someone's life. That's what it seems. Right. They're taking their time. So they're looking at it all. And you know what it takes some time. So I don't think there's room to panic per se. It's been ten weeks. Like, I forget something that happened two weeks ago. They are trying to, like, look at the whole case from start to finish. And there's 12 people that have different thought processes that have different points of view. So they're trying, someone could be like a very analytical person. Like, well, no, I need to see this before I say she's not guilty on that thing. They're not going to see the cert report. No, they're not. And you know what else fascinates me about this case that everybody out there has their own theory on, you know, everybody you're talking to say, I have a theory. I have a theory, right? And the other thing that still fascinates me are the pink hats. All the people outside in the street in pink. So we're coming up on topic time, right? So I want to hear from more pink hats. Also, what did they do last night with the rain? Are they here? Are they there this morning? It's been pouring rain. I know. They are in their ponchos and their beach chairs and six, one, seven. Pink hats if you're listening outside the courthouse, six, one, seven, nine, three, one, one, one, oh, wait, we want to get your theories and your opinions. But you can also send dark backs, Justin. Yeah, we should mention that, you know, Katherine Loftus isn't here. None of us are lawyers. So usually we take questions about the case. So you can still ask the question. Yeah, we might not have an answer. Open discussion. Yeah, just a discussion. Yeah. And send us in on the iHeart app. The TalkBack features that little red microphone. And again, the phone number, six, one, seven, nine, three, one, one, one, one, oh, wait, producer Riley is standing by in the phone center and talk back time is next. One, oh, wait. What is the topic? Today we're going to be talking about Billy and Lisa present topic time. Talk amongst yourself topic time. Yeah, it's topic time. And typically we would have our counselor, Katherine Loftus in, but she's under the weather, so to speak this morning. So we've got an open discussion going on about the Karen read trial. And what do you know? We're going to start with a lawyer. Ken is first on the show. Good morning. Ken, what's on your mind? Hi, the other attorney can from TalkBack in for me. Oh, no, I just wanted to not correct you, Billy, but just maybe correct a little bit. One thing that you said about how he has to be convicted of at least leading the scene of the crime. One of the elements of that is you have to know that you committed the crime. Right. So she couldn't possibly have known he may have killed someone. Right. That's a good point. So she had to know. So if she, she may have thought that she was a blizzard. She may have thought that she had a snow bank or something. Yeah. And then just pulled off. And I don't think that and whether or not she killed him and knew that she killed him. That's not what I'm commenting on. Right. Right. But the Commonwealth has to prove that she knew that she did it. And the fact that afterwards, she's leaving messages on his voicemail suggests to me that she didn't know that she hit him because if I hit somebody, I won't call and leave voicemail saying, I hate you. Right. Yeah. How about the OUI charge? Yeah. Well, they didn't charge her with OUI. So if that's the Commonwealth, they should have added an OUI charge. If they didn't add that charge, she can't be convicted of it because the Commonwealth never charged her with it. See, Ken, that's why we have you in the chart back off. He's our backup lawyer. Exactly. Thanks attorney. I love you very much. Okay. Thanks, Ken. Is Ken expecting a check now? No, no. Okay. That's good. I love having Ken in our pool. Let's go to Susan next Susan. What do you think? What's on your mind? Karen Reed. Yeah. So if you hit somebody with your car and a fancy license that she has, doesn't it record like an accident or something happened? Was there a recording of that on her car? There was a recording of her backing up at a high rate of 24.1 miles an hour, but it doesn't, and they said that it stopped at 23, which means something was in the way of that. Obviously, but it could have been a snow bank as I said, it could have been the fire hydrant. It could have been in the flagpole. So something did stop it, but they don't know. They can't prove what it was. Okay. And then the judge, I mean, she, she has convicted the office brothers for drunk driving. He killed someone. Um, supposedly, and he got six months. Wait, I'm sorry. What do you say about the judge? What about the Chris Albert? Well, we don't want to go that far back. That was like 20 years ago, almost 30 years ago, and she didn't convict anyone. She had nothing to do with it. We don't want to say that. Okay, we'll just move on here. Okay. Okay. I don't know. We'll ask for the pink cats to check. Do we have them? Of course they're out there. I'm on my way to the courthouse. Everybody's going to be there regardless of the weather. I'm sorry if they're offended. I'm calling the big pink house. I just thought it would be cute. Yeah, the rain's supposed to end anyway. So, yeah, they're out there supporting. I just want to know more of them because they are so dedicated to this trial. And is this what they do? Well, they move on to another trial. It's almost like, you know, how we're like, we were dedicated to like the Celtics. We want to go to the games and the parade and all that. Yeah. This is like their Celtics parade. Like they're just, they're going to support her. They're going to be out there, rain or shine and share her on. And all of the people dressed in pink, those are all Karen Reed supporters. Yes. That's right. What happened to all the people that were supporting the other side? There's really not, from what I've gathered, there's not a ton of people. Initially there were outside during this, during this that are like saying, like, you know, there's downtown Canton. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're the waterfall drinking at noon. Okay. We don't know that for some, but I know like when this ends, what, what are they all going to do then? That's what I mean. Well, I, well, like I said yesterday, the town of Canton needs to heal from this. Yeah. It's so bad in that town. A lot of people will probably seek out therapy. Yeah. Everybody's tired. I am so glad that you guys acknowledge being tired because this morning, I'm like sludge. And I couldn't figure out why I'm so exhausted, but you're right. The whole Karen Reed trial, which I love. And I'm fast. The Celtics, the hot, hot weather junk. So anyway, thanks for everything you guys do. Yeah. The heat wave. Yeah. The Celtics, the Karen Reed trial, late concerts. I mean, it's just been a run. It's emotionally draining. This has been, I can't imagine being a juror or someone, you know, on either side of this. Cause like, I'm a third party that just is watching from my house. Yeah. And I, and I'm exhausted. Right. Yeah. As is, I'm sure Karen Reed. Good morning, everyone, weighing in on Karen Reed in her little snicker. Like the suggestion that she's not exhausted and like everybody else is exhausted too. Like she's looking at this as like, there's, I'm either guilty or I'm nothing. So yeah, I would be like, what is up? Yeah. I'm so, so fascinated with Karen Reed. I wouldn't know. I want to know what she does when she leaves the courthouse, where she goes, does she sleep at night? Like, I can't imagine being in that position. When she goes to the hotel, right? That's, that's been there, sort of headquarters. No, but I mean, emotionally and mentally, what's going through her head because at any moment, she could be found guilty. You would expect it to be such a level of like, anxiety, which maybe she's feeling that inwardly, but she doesn't really portray that outwardly because like she's in the crowd, like talking, smiling, laughing and maybe that's just her way of coping. But if I was, everyone copes differently, like Billy laughs at like death, like, but it's not like you think it's funny. Well, Billy has a disorder, a legitimate disorder. Maybe that is the way that she is. Maybe that's why she's more like smiley or whatever or expressive because that's her way of dealing with whatever's going on inside of her head. But at the same time, I'm also curious about what it's like for people on the O'Keefe side. I mean, they lost somebody, a general Keith is no longer with us and they too are anticipating the verdict in one way or another. And this has been going on for two years, I think they want closure, right? Yes, either. At this point, I think either way, you're just like, let's get this over with. Yeah, because the trial is one thing, right? But like Lisa just said, it's two years. Well, I've noticed, Lisa and I have no degree that John's father has not been really in the courtroom. I mean, I mean, he's been there, but it's been 10 weeks and he is absent a lot of the time. Maybe that's like a representation of how he's sailing. He doesn't want to deal with it. Good morning. I have a question about the attorneys in the Karen Reed trial. Have attorney Jackson and attorney G&E worked together before because they work really well together. And I'm telling you, if I was ever in trouble, I would want those two defending me. Probably couldn't afford it, but I would really like them. Have a great day. Wow, they're pretty pricey. And they have been a very good team. I don't believe they worked together before. Alan Jackson is from California. Yeah, you know, he had the, you know, he was basically her lawyer in the very beginning. And then I think they picked up. He connected with Alan Jackson is the one that convicted Phil Spector. Yes. Yes. And he also got Kevin Spacey off in Nantucket. Oh, then Nantucket case of Spacey and their college kid. Yeah. A 97% success rate. Yeah, we were on his website. Yeah. And that was another moment in the courtroom yesterday. I thought it was kind of funny, actually, when the judge said, no, Mr. Kennedy knows all about this jury form thing. And he stood up. He said, I'm sorry, Your Honor. I've never seen it in my life. Yeah, the way it was formatted. Yeah. Yeah, that was, that was very interesting. Yeah. And then, of course, the, the, the Aunt Bev and Karen Reed. Excuse me. This is funny, Ms. Reed. You know, that was, that was, that was intense. Again, again, intense. Yeah. I'm funny. How? I mean, funny. Like, wow, maybe you, I make you laugh. What do you mean funny? Funny how? How am I funny? But you almost can't blame any one of them for any sort of reaction in the courtroom because this is such an unusual place to be. If you're sitting in the courtroom all this time, I mean, how long has the trial been going on? You know, it's a test situation. How many different witnesses? How much testimony? I mean, whether it's the jury or the people involved on either side. This is a long drawn out drama. All the side bars. Yes. I actually wanted to ask Catherine when she comes back in, hopefully tomorrow, is that normal in cases so many side bars? Because it seemed like every, every 10 minutes, it was like, no, sidebar. And that's when we get the fan, right? No, not, you know, you get the fan when they go to recess. But the, but you know, like there are so many of them. Right. So I'm going to ask for that tomorrow. Yeah. And we constantly hear from one of the attorneys. May I, may I approach? Let's go to Rose Maria, Rose Maria, you're on next. What are your thoughts? But quickly, I have, we have a lot of friends out of lawyers and they tend to say guilt guilty, but they don't feel this way. And the other thing, the plow driver. I mean, remember he said he went down the road, near view at 2 32 45. You didn't see the body. Yeah. I mean, the guys legit. And then the Albert truck or whatever was parked in the street in the should have been in should not have been in the blizzard. And he was going to go and tell them, but he didn't want to because it was the Albert. I mean, I don't know. They probably have a hold on can. But I mean, right then in there, what does it tell you? I know. I felt the same way. I felt like his testimony was compelling. And I thought he was very sought to the earth, telling the truth. I lucky the plow driver. I think the attorney Loftus was here should say, well, if he didn't see it, that doesn't mean it wasn't there. And that was another weird moment. Didn't the plow truck driver get a standing O at a town council meeting this? He did. Mm hmm. Yep. Well, they're these generational, these other counties that have been there for like three, four generations are really not happy with the look it's giving their beloved town. I'm sure. I'm sure. Let's go to Sue next. Sue, you're up next. You have a question or a comment on the Karen Reed trial. You know, hi, I was just wondering, am I the only one that is really bugged by Judge Bev in her drama? Yeah, she can be kind of expressive, the sighing and the. Well, she's tied. Oh, my God. When she says she was tired. I'm like, if they worked a full week. You know, I know she does do other things. You know, she's, she has a lot on her plate. I just thought you're right. I thought that that comment was a little unnecessary at the time. I thought it was a little strange. And again, I'll liken this case to the OJ case where all of the players have taken on a certain level of celebrity. So the same thing happens in all other high profile cases, right? It's what the lawyer did. You see what the lawyer did. How about the judge? You hear that comment? It's always about the lawyers to end up being a, you know, people get really infatuated with them. You know what I mean? Captain Mike here from the Talkback Mafia. Alan Jackson wasn't the only one to get Kevin Spacey off in the Kentucky. If you know what I mean. Okay, there you go.
