okay fair enough i've watched uh... i finished phantom from the last episode we had three episodes left and wow awesome awesome show and it was made by the same guy who did Madoka and yeah it was great it's one of those shows that they won't let you have a happy ending though it's pissed huh i won't say the ending because it totally ruins the show but holy fuck it's like the last possible second they can pull something out of their ass they did i was like god damn it really god jerks so yeah phantom it's really good go watch on netflix netflix is great and the entire show is there and you can watch it for free it is a great show and i will be reviewing it other than that i have not watched squat yeah if i have not been watching squat since the last time we recorded either i haven't even able to catch up on um steins gate and c and good news is they just ended this week so yeah i have to watch all the all when i get time again indeed but it's um steins gate specifically has gotten good press and supposedly ended well so there you go can't go wrong with that yep so yeah um i don't know i've been kind of like in a rut like you know i get these moods of let's watch one and watch a lot of anime and then stop and then watch my anime and then stop and right now i'm kind of like in between of like i don't know what i want to watch next you know we got the new season coming up starting this week more into next week to be honest but uh well i recommend well no this weekend yeah this weekend is going to be the big um this weekend is going to be starting new shows and whatnot so you know there's going to be some stuff but uh i instill out of the uh the 15 or 18 or 29 it's like 22 shows this week this season i only found three or four shows and i talk about that with pats in our review segment so all i gotta say is i'm watching the one neon vampire cuz fucking cute ass cats that look like the cheatsweet home as vampires fucking rocks after the rest after the show that's that's just wrong the the kitty gets bitten he's gonna die he's left to die he's bitten by a vampire cat and turns into a vampire cat it is hilarious the trailer is cute see if i can find it for you non-cat trailer uh damn it and see now i can't or i forgot what it's called neon vampire cat i don't know i can't see the name now but it was cute and it's like cheatsweet home meets like horror film it looks cute so so it's like bunny cola for any of you out there who are ill as i am who remember the the celery stalks at midnight which is evidently about a children's book about a vampire bunny there you go which was ridiculous and as funny as um as it might be because if you know it didn't attack humans it attacked vegetables so they would have vegetables yes they would have white celery on their on their counter in the morning because the bunny had sucked all the juice out of the celery and it was celery then became a vampire installed at midnight thus thus the title that sounds pretty awesome it was it was a pretty ridiculous story no it did it never you know you never figured out what exactly was going on from what i remember it's been teeny years probably more since i've read it but it never told you whether or not the the bunny really was a vampire or not but it was pretty interesting ah i can't find it now i'm looking because it was awesome wait hold on a second it's called neon vampire or neon vampire sort of a viet NY NYAN P-I-R-E it looks cute i think me and the wife are gonna end up watching it because it's awesome here here's a link check out that anime news network uh runny kitchen man with the sword that uh doesn't have an edge he is getting a live action movie on the live action actor adaptation all seven of you that care yeah hey now look you go like runny kitchen your kitchen was good uh takuro seito he's gonna have the lead roll evidently man which the mangaka likes i don't know don't know him you know he's very Japanese looking man but runny kitchen is getting a anime which is i was just getting a live action movie and hopefully it will be good since the anime was very good and it's worth watching if you haven't seen it yet uh if you happen to be in la and are one of our listeners a dub actress is holding an l_a_ charity karaoke on thursday what a matter of one of our listeners like we're doing anything hey and amen be in in la la we're on the internet man we never don't know where people are but this is stephanie stash and christina v uh giving a karaoke event a karaoke charity event the proceeds are going to earthquake relief in japan uh tickets are forty dollars per person and it runs from eight to ten at max karaoke all righty so the version the live action version of space battleship yamoto yamato like tomato hey do you want to read the news no you know what you've read the news now no all right yamato excuse me then is uh been the highest grossing domestically made movie in japan during the week of june 20th through the 26th so a show from the eighties got turned into a new film thing and it is been doing well evidently i've never actually seen the live action shows i've never seen the anime so the anime and i haven't seen the live action show so i don't know if it's any good or not hopefully that means it is but we'll see um if you ever seen the anime version of that i have not but been recommended to me several times yeah i thought he talks about how great it is but i've never seen it either but media blasters is adding uh bakuman anime and it's actually getting a dub as well well it's media blasters we expect a show about two kids who make a manga don't oh god i'm gonna say i didn't know anything about it yeah it aired last season it's actually drawn by the people that co-created death note that that's pretty cool hmm may look at powers death magic pens ah the pin is actually mightier than the sword huh exactly i see so blood is becoming the next uh eva it seems because it is now getting a third reinterpretation yeah but this was not really with eva well eva's been remade like a gazillion times yeah but this is awesome because clamp is doing it yeah i don't know clamp is remaking blood it's called blood c i don't know the and i don't understand the reason because the original movie wasn't all that great i don't know i'm gonna check it out because i've never seen blood blood plus was okay was blood now is blood plus different from blood the last vampire or might term no blood the last vampire um actually took place in the realm in the world of blood plus she actually part in through how about halfway through blood plus she remembers the things that she did in blood the last vampire ah okay see i only watched bits and pieces of blood plus on adult swim i never went out of my way to figure it out because i was like man whatever yeah it's not worth figuring out it's not very good it's kind i mean it's okay it was interesting but it you know and it it definitely was better than the movie because it actually tried to explain things and give you why the fuck are these things fighting each other but the original the original movie did not do any of that at all but i just didn't happen to care for the explanations if they came up with it blood plus your your mileage may vary but yeah clamp is doing this and you know usually i actually like clamps stuff um a lot of people on an on anime news network were complaining about the drawing uh you know i don't understand that a little bit because of clamp clamp makes it think of called gee us right the character of lanky yeah characters are lengthy they're high you know heads are a little bigger but i mean come on it's not bad the time is only time i fall good stories usually yeah stories that are that take things and twist the take conventions and twist which is that is what i like about clamp i mean only time i had a nitpick with the artwork uh in code code gee us we're doing some of the action scenes where they have these weird camera angles and all they'd look like is you're looking at a bunch of straight lines moving and was like what the hell am i what the hell's going on in so and code gee us as an exactly a good example of them taking conventions or twist no um another show would be uh probably holic yeah that one's that that's just freaking uh but well yeah they take things usually and make something interesting out of them so i don't know we'll have to see but the people that are involved in the original blood plus are involved in this too but it just seems silly to me that it yet again is getting another interpretation man it's not me apparently it's not me i guess where they just absolutely have no new ideas in japan now just like in hollywood i don't know but uh sony pictures is adding something i have never heard of um oh in i g-a-m-i-d-e-n oh my god maiden holding gun me out this is a historical fantasy anime boring they're doing it under the title legend of the millennium dragon that's gonna be released on october 4th there he goes where it revolves around a 15 year old boy who travels back in time to hane period of japan and faces a war between demons and humans in the former japanese capital city of kyoto so it might be interesting i don't know so if sony pictures is releasing it they must have some um you know some faith in it yeah yeah usually very much they don't usually release anime yeah okay nation or media blasters or somebody so i don't know we'll have to see it might be interesting it might not i like historical fantasy it's kind of thing that interests me um this is weird this almost makes it into what the fuck territory but there is evidently a tour now in japan for cross-dressing boys gay yeah pretty much the japanese travel agency is the travel agency too i find that funny i guess they're going after the gay market now in japan and then the travel agency name he is his oh come on they're world famous they are okay yeah um it's they're what the people i want to go through they do these really yeah they do you want to go through the one that's doing a short of cross-dressing boys cut with just something you need to tell me uh it didn't say that um his um they have packages joke here yes i understand what there's okay yes yes yes okay whatever his um they do packages like do the tokyo game fair they do the tokyo anime uh festival they'll do just anime in general they'll do one on like mangas they'll do one on just sightseeing in general and it's always like two grand it's for a week and you get flights from los angeles to japan and back all the food paid for when you get some time to yourself and uh what's that two thousand dollars yeah shit well yeah it's a lot of money but but that's not much for that kind of no exactly and they and they plan a lot of stuff out for you so they you know like the anime one you get to go visit the jibley museum and go visit on a working uh studio and things of that nature and uh honestly that's what i want to do for my first trip in japan because they don't speak japanese and they're interpreters and they know what the hell we were doing yeah and so i mean like i i look at like is that one that you could live with a japanese family as well that is one as well yes but um so they're are of doing a two-day one-night hot spring tour uh that is specifically designed for cross dressers particularly specifically those that identify themselves as male maidens both the staff and tourists will be male maidens allowing the participants to enjoy the trip without embarrassment so if you happen to see crazy americans dressed like women in japan now you can thank his yeah and if you happen to be an american who wants to get a cross dress as a japanese female for some freaky weird reason you can now go do it in japan uh this one i just found odd and i hope it's i hope it's good but it's not the time i would have done this but a new english translated manga magazine has been launched called jin a new monthly magazine named jin has launched with original manga by japanese underground artists so he's actually kind of bugs me as a japanese underground so what are they taking it up and here's what bugs me okay great awesome we got a new manga it's made for the adult market and it's made by dojin circles in japan there you go so i don't know how they'll come and go yeah i don't know this might be um not things that i'm interested in maybe i'll check it out i think i will download the first one and it's the first volume and see we'll review it but it's ten bucks a month i would definitely oh jesus christ 140 pages and four stories in black and light it's two long stories they're four of them for 140 pages and we're kidding so maybe it's maybe it's actual stories and not what i'll do but here's the problem dojins and circles don't create their own crap they go off of everything else well maybe it maybe this is different that's what i'm saying i mean we're thinking about i mean when i think of dojin i think of the hand i'm taking ava and putting anti in them yes so this probably is not that or crappy ass fan fiction no crappy ass fan fiction exactly uh i don't think this is gonna you know gonna be the harry potter fan fiction i made the mistake of reading some of that one's how the hell do you make a mistake doing that i thought it might be interesting you know i don't know but i was wrong although i read some family guy fan fiction before it was cancelled so like i don't know uh that would be disturbing i don't even want to know what um uh she what mr giggity giggity did in the fan fiction not interested quagmire son what the fuck i can't see any dirty words really you can't say fuck yeah you can't say shit yeah the bonds i beat what the fuck of the week dude that kid's fucked up all right what's our uh what the fuck of the week or what the there you go through some semantics yay so parents must pay two thousand dollars after son kicks ball into the streets not two thousand it's two hundred thousand yes big difference a court has ordered the parents of a boy who accidentally kicked a ball into the street to pay nearly two hundred thousand dollars in compensation after he in the course view caused the death of an eighty seven year old motor sight uh motorcyclist dude this guy was hard court to the end who fell off his bike in an effort to avoid the ball i read that when i first time i read this i thought the guy was on like just a you know a bicycle not a motorbike i'm sorry grandpa you're 87 years old i love the drug need to be on a motorbike you get off the harley no i feel japanese of japan it was uh yamaha still those are those are mode those are not you know little motorcycles but evidently he broke his leg and later going senile of course you know going breaking your leg causes you go senile that's what i wonder over a year later as a result of an infection stemming from a feeding accident now how all of these things are related i do not know you know i'm not a doctor but that doesn't seem like it would be related to me now here's my question well no it is related i can i can understand the the relation a year later and from a broken leg a broken leg leading to senility leading to death because of the incident with a feeding tube yeah that's what i don't understand i like pursuing the hospital for whatever the hill happened with the feeding tube yeah exactly my question is like senile the dude was 87 i like and that's not exactly young young but that's that's all i mean like you know it's it's really rough to say if like you know because i mean like there's people well in the other 80s and 90s or it's still very cognitive and obviously this guy could drive a motorcycle and not i i don't know any 87 year olds that i would want behind the wheel of a car much less than me chose a motorcycle because it's easier to see but yeah that's right he doesn't have to get up on his knees right to see over the windshield exactly but um i don't know i just find it ridiculous at the eight they're blaming this kid like hey kid you're a murderer good job you fucker he's probably like 10 poor kid yeah and why is that where are they playing because in the comments they talk about a school right but they never say a school here um so i don't know why is there not a fence yeah if it's a school it's like we're playing next to this busy street kick the fucking dodge ball into the street oh look at that guy fell over and died why don't you have a fence fences don't cost a lot of money that as far as i know oh he was hard just normally kicking the ball at the goal so yeah there should be a fence if it's behind a goal and what the hell you're playing soccer something yeah that's that's a bit much if it's right by a street i mean i see sock fields where there are no fences around yeah but they're like and they're huge and they're like got plenty of room yeah exactly you know brode freaking forest not a street or just a huge open lot it's like yeah the goals aren't sitting next to like a fucking major thoroughfare hold on we're put the soccer field for the elementary kids next to busy street lane highway five yeah but i mean he died 15 months after the accident after pneumonia because after some food accidentally became lodged in ammonia but yeah yeah i think this kid just oh no but it took it took me another he was evidently a minor at the time but he's now 19 so does it um doesn't say how old he was at the incident but i mean you know still every kid makes mistakes and like my first thing would be like justice in japan is not any quicker than it is here yeah i'm kidding um my first thing would be like look why the fuck what they're about why wasn't their offense why was there no safety precaution for both people in the vicinity for pedestrians and motorists yeah like i would see the city imagine if it had been a car you know he hit the ball the ball comes out hit somebody's windshield oh so what the most impurities bounce off maybe cause a crack right no no but somebody would be like what's the foot and cause a major car pilot oh good yeah definitely someone hit your windshield on unknown yeah true unexpected so not i mean i thought i think would would be an issue so yeah i definitely agree there should end but i don't think you can make the connection that he died from this uh from one to the other no i think he's just a scapegoat so yeah i think that the uh the match was a little ridiculous uh but so since since this is you know i know i should say this um i feel the need to say this don't get your idea of japan from syngaku complex okay well of course they they scour and look for things that are ridiculous that was happened in 2004 although here we go we want this this is the country where you know somebody spilled hot coffee on themselves and never has to work again so we do these stupid seven years ago isn't there a statute of limitations yeah i don't know you know i i think it that the story is just that old and syngaku complex goes and looks for crazy things and if they have to go back teen years to find something you think i can back teen years to find something you know i read this they're looking they're looking for driving hits so they're finding the stuff is crazy whole idea of japan from syngaku here we go i found an awesome story yesterday on japan today japan today as some of the greatest news in japan is my 45 percent of korean kids think japan is their biggest enemy no this is better fuck korean kids yeah they don't like us either here a 31-year-old teacher got pissed and like broke a door and like oh like a glass door uh and then stripped and then ran away in front of like a you like a door at like a police box and then stripped and ran like out of naked why did he strip why do i think he was drunk you think he was he that's like the stories in america where the last line is authorities believe alcohol might have been involved yeah here we go i always want to go no shit teacher arrested after smashing police station door then trying to flee nude and this is tokyo today uh japan today um hock hockadate a 31-year-old high school gym teacher smashed the glass door of a police station and hockadate on saturday night before removing his clothes and fleeing the scene police said sunday the man who has been named as tamaki moden who has been named yeah something on his real name we're just naming it exactly was arrested for property damage following the incident we should please around 11 p.m police say moden a high school soccer coach well has admittedly smashing the door by kicking it he's putting his teaching to good use apparently yeah and it's his tv teacher according to police here we go he was drunk at the time of the incident uh good times hey he was just making sure what he's teaching his kids actually work in reality because if you kick things not just soccer balls but solid objects they they sometimes break especially glass that's pretty breakable i just read that and left my ass off was like no that's awesome that's pretty awesome seriously though i just never like a real news site this yeah it is it's somewhat is and it's got some of hilarious news and things yeah yeah it's going to have that too but it also has you know about the 30 000 34 000 uh fukushima kit yeah yeah yeah you see radiation meters yeah no it's cool um leading the auto recovery yeah yeah i mean when they had the aqui harbor slashings and stuff going on they were really good new source for that and so but uh i don't know you know i've never understood this how people can get so drunk and just make a freaking ass out of themselves like i have been drunk and the most oh yeah here's a story i got for you we went out drinking with some co-workers my co-worker was leaving and i got invited along i was like 22 23 i only been with the company for maybe six months and i'd never been drunk and we sat there drinking and i kept ordering uh yag bombs which is yogurt mister and uh red bull yeah those are awful oh they're good i love them so in my co-worker accelerator and the break at the same time my co-worker was paying for him he's like oh just get whatever you want you know we got four rounds so we all hit the situation room aka the plaid and they had those tv screens above the the urinals and they were showing this commercial with the uh the police looking for a teenager because their computer crashed and it's like some marines or some bullshit commercial but he's like basically it sees like two cops in their cop car walking going around town like asking to see someone and then they find them and they're like yeah i'm looking for a crush again he's like oh it of 12 i'm never going that's not what really fucking happens i look over it's just some random guy i'm like oh shit sorry i thought you were on my co-worker's here i i apologize he's like dude you're fucking hammered uh so yeah good times but that's been like the most probably drunkenness i've been well no i've been drunker i fell asleep on some grass and it was comfortable but still i've um you know but still like i've never been like hmm let's go vandalize shit yeah let's go blow something up at least here well i mean like i don't know i mean i don't read about this too much in america but like you don't hear like well 39 year old cable installer joe jonson you know was allegedly attacking a postal carrier with the lawn darts i don't know i mean how often do you hear the the you know the the the you know the profession mentioned not often yeah weren't japan it's a big deal yeah i think it has to do with you know your stature i guess stature and you're you know you're shaming your profession and yourself a little bit god forbid all those teachers are like oh jesus christ not again yes maybe maybe they're like hey they get that there's either teachers in japan are incredibly incredibly fucked up or they get you know what it is maybe they're like finally something normal we're not investing our students drunk and kicking something yeah it's not raping somebody raping the students so they're they're just like finally come back to normal people next to normal craziness today yes i don't know looking at luxury apartments in japan and that's just disturbing luxury departments yeah or on japan today is an advertisement for luxury apartments in japan and they look like normal apartments in america well they're like there's the size of the apartment i live in now okay that's disturbing that's probably huge though yes or japan is probably huge Japanese families i know i got like eight hundred and thirty square feet nothing that's small it's like one of the things i want to do when i go to japan i want to stay there for a month rent an apartment for a month live there tell a commute from work because the one thing about my job is i can tell a commute with seamlessly it's awesome um but i would love to do that when you do this let me know you know i'll see if i'll do it in the summer when i can not have to teach and oh yeah because clearly you're just you mean you're just brimming with money hey well you know well here's well here we go i just for shit to do if we win the lottery yeah yeah well if that's the case hmm i may just know depending on how much i get i might just tell america to go fuck off and go live somewhere else maybe japan maybe add pants are expensive yeah true you got five billion dollar you five million dollars okay you live here for three days my promise i have a diction of hamburgers and well yes he has a ship cows over in a shirt and a ship all right well season of anime what we're going to be watching and then we reviewed hygiena whipple a boxing anime about boxing it's great it's not a boxing anime about football do well with who now it's not a boxing anime about football no unfortunately not boxing but we need to do our own yeah i was waiting on boxing anime about boxing of course it's about boxing um even we're gonna do releases oh yeah i should probably do them go watch i suppose no i mean you know we don't have to we just always do but yeah no go watch high school the dead and i pick up i go high school the dead is worth getting if you haven't seen it you should also pick up galaxy express 999 that is an underrated show that is very good it's long as fuck unless you pick up the movies but it's the movies i think that are coming off currently galaxy express 999 and uh a dude galaxy express 999 i do consider cowboy bebop overrated what i have not seen the movie is awesome for so to be pretty good they have a gun fight in a convenient store it's just it ends the way it ends it didn't really set the the show itself didn't set anything up didn't change anything you know it just kind of ended and now that kind of annoyed me i don't want to get too early is magical witch pony tan any good i keep hearing a lot about i don't know i don't know feel like ass hmm sounds like terrible sounds like terrible okay i thought there's something that you would talk to me about uh other thing well we should talk about this next time we're on the fandom post he has a couple rez going through the shows that are that were shown this season and he's talking about whether they're dub worthy or license worthy might be interesting talk about that and talk about the shows we have we watched and see whether we think they're dub worthy when i have a topic i do it what i have to think of a topic i gotta be inspired my problem is this i've been wanting to do a round table show for the longest time and i just can't find enough people to track down to be on you know to make big guests uh you know do you know instead of having the same guests every time or or whatever and i just don't have the time to you know reach out to industry or that because well i'm a nobody and i'm not going to waste someone else's time but that's one of my goals is to do a round table podcast do a round table podcast of some sort because yeah like everybody has a news podcast or you know here we have news and literally it's just let's go to an end and pick out the interesting stories that are might relate to a lot of people it's bullshit because i can't make my own new stuff well i could but yeah i know what you mean like i know yesterday i'd seen it i'd soon a miku was assassinated it's terrible tragedy look it up it may not have happened but yeah so yeah and i hear it coming from though it's the news you know the news barely changes and you know we've got a couple i'm planning to do and Kyle's um what is this thing it's been pretty regular at this point it's only like three or four episodes at this point but it's only been around for a couple months now so it's pretty good for us there you go we're coming week we're watching some movie called mazes and monsters starring tom hanks from before tom hanks was famous it was a very early tom hanks man not very early tom hanks film it's apparently made for tv movie ah there you go starring tom hanks starring tom hanks and nobody so that'll meet Wednesday night and then we'll probably i don't know we'll watch something else in the weeklet the week after it'll either be something i pick out because on a whim like last week we watched space jam yeah just because i wanted to watch space jam so i was like hey let's watch space jam there you go can't go wrong with that no i don't think we did it was pretty great anything with michael jordan and bug's funny michael jordan is an awful actor though he is telling that it's like really bad i always remember the scene when he's like gonna throw a fastball swing strikes out where the hell did you just swing and i thought i was out to myself wonder if that's what they did to him in the game in real life or that's like felt pity for him i mean it's michael jordan come on yeah that's a good question i mean i wouldn't be surprised if that did happen so he got some but i mean if you go back he actually ended with like before he quit his um uh his actual batting record wasn't terrible oh well it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible yeah yeah well hell he got a freaking contract because the name of michael jordan yeah he did unless he wasn't made he wasn't a major league player no he played major leagues anyway he played minors yeah yeah i think i know that's my jordan yeah exactly next week on the orlando jordan podcast um but we are here to talk about a few things uh may talk a little aax talk a little bit about the summer season coming up and we're here to review uh edgy may know ipo and the boxing anime about boxing and hitting guys and unfortunately there was no hitting of meat in this show which is which is sad yeah i expected the Fred Flintstone slab of meat in the meat locker scene but no there was none of that so aax is next weekend yeah this coming weekend yeah live fourth weekend yes yes all right yeah all being all not be there yeah same here i make i'll never go there as far as i know it's too expensive to fly there alone you know i mean it's that it's i have to know enough people going to it for it to be worth it and there's enough conventions in the summer on the east coast that i want to go to that i'll never get around to it mm-hmm well we got stuff like anime boston and awa and you know we've got and we got oticon so we got our fair share of pretty good cons yeah oticon's awesome yes i know everybody going to oticon so that one is more fun there you go well i don't know that it's the west coast so i don't know as many people you know yeah true sure that it's pretty far away than there west i don't know i'm hopeful that's like my job i'm looking at one i'm holding out from adoka to get licensed by centai no that'll be um aniplex and it'll be Japan prices don't care i'll buy it uh i'd buy it anyway but uh i haven't bought any of aniplexist stuff yet because it's all Japan prices and i don't want any of it i don't want to see yeah i haven't touched any of their stuff either yet i thought about draw it out but i was like yeah hold off yeah that'll come out at a reasonable price someday yeah well now there's an adult swim now it won't because anything that's adult swim is forever at 65 dollars yeah but if it's 65 dollars for the whole show oh no that's in part one it's pretty good if it's for the whole show yeah yeah true that or that but now that's really pretty cheap these days yeah yeah true although i was uh i don't know i was at best buy the other day and looked at the anime and i was like man going right stuff for like they have like uh the kano con i don't know how this got on freaking store shelves of of uh best buy what they had uh oh no i i'm thinking of kano con i'm sorry i'm thinking of anime nation it's like an anime nation they had kano con for like 25 bucks right stuff 17 it was like come on oh yeah read stuffs the best yes i have since bought only from them yeah i don't buy much from them lately just because i'm in ball much anime lately but all them there hasn't been a ton i'm waiting on bucket to test and i was pissed when i found out it was delayed i keep getting those emails we're working on it and it's like all right it's the week of the 28th worth my stuff they're like oh it's been delayed twice yeah thanks for telling me they're right so that's the only thing i've got coming right now yeah i order i got ootna a month or so ago i have no i i didn't buy it i found it elsewhere um you know and i don't know the first episode just put me off but i haven't watched much of it so yeah but i pre-ordered it literally when i saw the picture of the box art i was sold like mine yep i ordered it immediately i was probably like one of the first pre-orders they had that's why i was with bucket to test when i saw them like pre-orders like oh shit click it faster by then ten nine um that's uh the only other thing i bought recently is on mezz and kaiser skull yeah i remember the trailer for that it's pretty 14 dollars for three episodes of goin to guy awesomeness it's actually not that bad it's like four bucks five bucks in that battle little under five bucks an episode 14 dollars for the whole thing that's such a good deal it's ridiculously uh ridiculous how good a deal that is it's like everybody should buy that everybody no no it doesn't matter if you care you just buy it anyway by going the guy needs a job tomorrow he does support his family we need more of that stuff in the u.s so if you buy it that tells them that you want it and that tells them to bring more of that kind of shit out here very true very true so you're not expecting much from a x i'm guessing you're just like yeah it's there this year we're not against there this year dandai has some stuff i hope they announce that they're gonna bring the upcoming gundam stuff into the u.s. quick and i hope that they give us some release dates for some of the other gundam stuff besides that there's not much there for me to care about yeah i'm sorry other than like madoka i'm waiting on like that's the only thing i'm like actively looking forward to and i probably there's probably more but i can't think of anything off top of my head but i don't know i always like a x because like all the huge known ones in one place i always kind of feel like a x is our e3 to a smaller e3 it is but it's such a the industry is dwindled so much yeah yeah that it's hard to get excited about it anymore no a lot of the crap in the last year has been pretty it's there it's like okay it was great and a lot of the stuff that's been picked up has already been picked up and licensed already so it's like okay we don't have any really big licenses from like last season or the season before even because you know funimation was like oh we're picking that up hasn't even aired yet we're just not much new stuff i give a shit about so yeah yeah if there was stuff i cared about maybe i'd pay more attention but there's so little of it um that i don't get worked up about it anymore mhm stuff i would want on dvd like the funimation's sitting on a lot of stuff from no automata like um princess jellyfish princess jellyfish they are releasing yes i know i've already announced that but that's the only one they're releasing oh i think they're doing half of five leaves as well they haven't announced anything else for dvd uh um so princess jellyfish is coming um in the only other no atometer that i think they've released would be eating of the east correct any in the east has um kind of a bigger pedigree to it and that's why it's getting released mhm yeah i was really shocked i find um the week that the movie came out on dvd it showed up on netflix mm-hmm i don't know if it was an accent i can't find it anymore i think it's still up there though yeah it is okay i was really shocked and i was like holy crap really this just came out and it's already on netflix but uh i could see them i could see them announcing c because they're screaming that this season and that's supposed to be pretty pretty popular i would guess i mean it was pretty interesting i i quit watching it because i just couldn't fucking follow it there was so much talking going on at once i was like okay i need to either read the subtitles or ignore the subtitles and what is going on the screen and i was like i'll wait don't get released i could see them announcing c yeah who knows it's fun initially announce a bunch of crap i don't want to buy and a bunch of crabby live action and then i'll just be bored and then bandiles say yeah we're gonna release that Gundam stuff eventually and then i'll be sad and then i'll just be done with it like done yeah i'm pretty i know i'm being kind of negative but wow it seems the last year hasn't been that great we've had our gems but those gems have already been picked up and so it's just like well you know what else again they do start doing re-releases again yep maybe there'll be another box set of dragon ball yeah man uh do you see like centai picking anything up or they can't illustrate they probably i don't even know if they're at ax but though i'm sure they have more stuff to announce they get a lot of it seems like they get all the shit that Funimation doesn't want true but their library is getting better they have some stuff i actually care about like go go 13 but go to 13 is came out years and years ago a couple a year or two ago was when the dvd released so the tv series happened so now the tv is 50 episodes yeah but they've only released the first half of it okay because i know on some netflix right now it's only one through 13 i've watched like four episodes and dik toggo is one badass mofo sex and his women and drinking his wine or liquor um i don't know i could yeah i mean anime yeah i don't buy much of it anymore because it's all on netflix now exactly that's kind of thing yep i buy it because i'd rather own it but i hear you so speak of anime summer of 2010 stuff airs starting this week actually yeah some of it does huh some of it does a lot of the shows are wrapping up did you watch anything over spring um nope not even the world only god knows cool well god nope that's not even other that's the one with the uh the pervert kid right yeah he does all the gaming he does all the dating sims yeah that one he has to capture all real girls how it's oh so original uh nothing so are you looking forward to anything uh for summer oh i'm trying to remember do you have the summer list because i don't have an i would oh here it is nevermind um no wait that's spring so i'm gonna bet i lost it i got it for you yeah link it to me because i lost it i had it up earlier but if i type summer into my browser it'll pull it right up oh it will and ended a really nice list that actually has like information oh nice yeah i just got the chart bag or whatever ripoff version of this is oh stuff bloodsea yeah that was that's one i'm going to be checking out bloodsea which is clam sample clamp doing blood which is pretty cool and it's like it's not like most clamp it's not like hokies where it was just they did the character designs this is clam doing it so this is people that work with clam this is the clam people writing the story and doing the design so it's very much clam doing it and it sounds pretty cool and i'm hoping it's good i don't know if it will be but i hope it will be yeah i'll plan checking that out as well i hope it's streamed somewhere because i don't feel like stealing it i won't watch it if i have to steal it basically uh what else here our our 15 looks at least sounds interesting but um my picture i don't know though pretty land up a jail yeah probably there was another one i was interested in um sacred seven which is another sunrise show it's probably going to be it's either going to be quality or it's going to be funny or it's going to be it's going to be something and it's because it's sunrise and it looks like it might be kind of like a toy show but i'm not really sure so it's something i at least want to check out mainly just because it's sunrise yeah you're in bed with them we know yeah oh and then usagi drop yeah that looks good too so that's definitely something it's another it's a noa tom in a show and it's um it's about this guy who um ends up basically taking care of his grandfather's illegitimate daughter or something like that oh yeah that one yes and it's i've heard the manga is really good and the anime looks really well done like it has a decent budget and stuff so i hope that it's streamed somewhere too what i want to know is how old is i kid like the grandfather come on now team and couldn't what is he hitting it do they're saying 73 or let dead oh by the way i have a kid it was like 10 well if the kid's 10 that means he was 63 whatever still but uh the only thing i'm watching for sure a hundred percent of baccata test too all right but uh a lot of stuff looks so wants to recycle garbage i mean hell warita san wa me me chinky whatever hell it's called looks frickin identical to frickin cayon you got the blonde you got the brunette you got the other brunette and you got the black-haired girl holy fuck it looks so similar and there's a lot of four there's another four coma show which looks horrible and i just don't have much i hope the season i mean i don't have i hope any season i just want like of new stuff i'm expecting to watch ova's for stuff i'm gonna end i haven't watched the whole series let's see well the black lagoon is finishing up so for sure we're watching that black lagoon is finishing up um well you don't want more soft tea or more i don't like you at all big brother no um i don't know if there's any other ova's i actually really care about this season another higarashi oh um helping ultimate if it's actually coming out yes it actually should have come out already if it's coming out i don't know whatever i gotta ask somebody that keeps track of that shit a little better for sure basically it's going to be movies and ova's are going to be the stuff i care about yeah i i i think you're right because yeah this is all right mawaru penguin drum that's the other one i want to see what's that about explain that one um i don't actually knew like anything about it um i'll tell you why i care about it though okay it's the same director as revolutionary girl utna uh um and they've been pumping there have been they've been promoting it a lot and they so it sounds like it's probably going to be awesome so i'm pretty excited for that one there you go i think that's kind of like it just me i think you want to have the wife and i sit down and and watch the vampire kitty anime non-fire yes i should have a trailer for that i was like this is awesome it's like the dark evil side of jeez sweet home no wonderful yes so there you go all right well let's get into it yeah sure jim i know ipo 76 episodes of awesomeness it's all you need to know yep all right see you later see you so it's both his kid named ipo he's like a dweeb and i don't know he's like ipo um he's just kind of a quiet self-spoken kid in school who gets buoyed because he doesn't have any confidence and he meets a boxer named takamura he's like kind of like the man inspires him to stop being such a wussy and then he joins the jim and starts boxing and becomes awesome yep cool so what happens is he goes it's what the way i like to explain info to people and i do this a lot because whenever i do panels on shows people should watch i always talk about ipo um is that what you want to do the best way to think of ipo it's dragon balls the it's one piece it's shown in fighting but instead of super powers and energy beams it's boxing it's the same kind of thing and so what you get out of it is something really fun and really fun and really good natured and just really well done it's also madhouse and it's something that you can watch regardless of whether or not you care about sports whether or not you care about boxing yeah this is like you know that other stuff that i just said you're gonna like this probably more and i like the fact too that early on like there was a lot of like twists and turns in the fights like these fights are like you know two to three episodes sometimes but they're always like you know they're not talking they're actually fighting they're you're getting in the minds of each fighter and there's always a lot of twists and turns that happened during the fight what i like to say about it is that you really feel for the characters um it does the fights really well so all the boxing when you watch stuff happen you get a feeling for what's happening um oh for sure because you see both fight you know usually if it's an epo fight you see both fighters train and they for whatever reason they each get their own like reasoning behind why they're fighting every match so you'll jump back and forth between epo and why he's fighting and why the person he's fighting why they're fighting like for example those uh was a guy named the first fighter he fights is sendo he his father is like this great it was a was a with a professional boxer who just couldn't cut it i forgot i think he got an injured or something but his goal is to like surpass what his father started yeah so you see the ups and downs and trials and tribulations of sendo early on all the way through the show um another important thing to mention about this show before we keep going is yeah it's 76 episodes for the first tv series there is a second tv series which hasn't been released in the u.s there will just another 26 episodes i believe and there's an ova then there's another ova and the manga is at 90 something volumes right now um it's been running for 30 20 30 years 20 years 20 years sounds right as he aged it all um yeah he's like a middle-aged guy with a family now not that i know of oh what the hell he hasn't aged that much he's only 22 now because you think about how much time a fight takes oh yeah exactly but the nice thing about the way it's structured is that you can those fights take a lot of time but they're boxing that just so it's kind of more acceptable they're not powering up they're beating the shit out of each other yeah um another thing about it is it's got amazing sense of humor it is a fucking funny show yeah so damn funny um one of the big acts in the show is that emo has a huge wang yeah a huge penis and they have elephants on effect every time that comes out for some reason they like to make fun of him for that fact and he's embarrassed about it i don't know why every time a woman finds out about it they like blush and they're like giddy it's it's really lewd it's a really fucking funny show yeah um takamura um i guess i guess mentor i guess it's the best way to put it he's like Johnny Bravo sidekick he is a fucking badass but he's kind of a sociopath too so he loves to mock his friends and he's a massive jerk and he's really conceited and he's full of himself but he's funny as hell doing all that stuff and he's also like the best boxer in japan and uber badass and yeah all that shit other one of the other guys suck yeah oh yeah aokie and and uh together yeah yeah yeah yeah it's uh aokies that will and tatsune komura oh uh yeah so yeah komura and aokie and uh yeah they're like they got their own i was kind of cool and we'll get kind of boring they were like originally street punks just in high school beating everybody up and getting gang fights and they both ran in takamura and tried beating him up and they got their ass kicked so two up to one up and show takamura they joined the gym and got into boxing but they've always been hit and miss and they've been in the ring you know they sometimes win something they lose a lot more yeah and they come with weird things like the froggy punch yeah they're they're like aokies a really funny guy because he's kind of like um he's really goofy he's like ugly with hard to take serious and he he's just fun to watch i mean um he's got an ugly girlfriend yeah he's got an ugly girlfriend all that good stuff but the biggest thing about this show in general is that it's just a lot of fun it's not something you have to take too seriously but as you get into it you'll kind of get stuck with it because it's just that addicting it's addicting but my problem was it got too predictable and you know even in the repertoire of the music used when the music changed to a certain tune you're like okay now it's gonna happen um you know one of the main problems i had with this show was like people were getting his ass kicked and then you'd be like oh i'm gonna fall down and he's like wait i've been training for nine months and coach has been training me and blah blah blah i can't quit now and you'll get up and like what can just start well and ask and they use that so many times in the show well like i said the music will change to a certain tune you'll be like oh no it's gonna happen so like i watched the show maybe 10 to 15 episodes at a time per sitting you can start seeing a lot of recycled well that's because at the end of the day it is it's a shown in fighting series and that's what they do and for something to run as long as it has it is kind of formulaic especially when you want to 75 76 episodes of it yes um i'm not gonna argue that yeah it gets formulaic after a while um but it's just a lot of fun yeah what what from that it helps it a lot oh yeah for me what cabinet interesting was uh the well all the boxers that you had to fight because they forged relationships one way or another and the all the stories that they use are pretty interesting you know it's not just like well there's maybe there's two one-off fights it lasts like five seconds but uh you know all these fights they all mean something so the time you get to them you're like yeah pumped up and then they had a really interesting uh kind of love uh or later on in the show there's like a love interest that kind of detracts from so much of the boxing so it does help break up the story yeah so you're kind of fighting for him on that side too you're like yeah go get yourself late or something and so i mean it takes away from the boxing a little bit which is nice because it's funny just watching the boxing after a while it's like all right what does this kid do other than run around and fight trees and stuff although the best episode was knocking we're uh fighting a fucking bear and fucking uppercutting this shit out of it yeah oh i forgot about that yes he fights a fucking bear and he wins and then he has bears too manly man here god it's such an awesome show yeah it's like holy shit they are like man on bear violence that is awesome it's just got a great sense of humor it's one of the shows that i when i go on a kick for ebo because i'm not caught up to the most recent issue most recent volumes of the comic i'm maybe 50 volumes in and it's like at 95 right now um when i go on a kick i will read maybe 10 volumes in a couple days oh wow just because it it it hooks me really really hard and then i'll just read it for a while and then i can't stop talking about it it's i know it's hard to say yeah it's one of my favorite things but i'm not up to date but it really is one of my favorite um manga anime so all that shit um ever it's very high up on my list so as enthusiastically as i can talk about it as often as i can about all the different characters and things i think it says a lot about the show that it can still get me to care so much about it um every time i read it i really like it obviously yeah um i found the show really interesting just really fun like i said the characters are what makes this show um you know look past the scene and stuff look at the show and stuff it's like you said it's really humorous the characters are what makes this show and uh when you do finish the uh 70's kind of show to the tv you need to watch that ova special because it picks up right where the show left off yeah there's actually a second ova 2 there's two one was released in the u.s the other one wasn't yeah i'm talking about the one that was released in the u.s because that one is perfect like unfortunate oh we're ever gonna get a v-ball because time is proven sports anime does not sell an e-ball sports anime doesn't sell e-fos sold ridiculous levels of bad you can still buy it yeah single dvd is pretty cheap like three bucks but it sold really bad it makes me sad i've accepted it at this point i know that sports anime doesn't sell so it's just kind of how it is mhm and uh yeah when i go check it out if you can find it i had to find it through other means uh i know a couple years ago i could have bought in the entire box you know the entire singles for up to the cheap but that's kind of give us going they keep doing doing i know i found the uh part one and part two on amazon for 325 bucks each that's how rare it's gotten and and right stuff is down to singles like you said but now it's getting to be slim pick and just not just one through sixteen now it's in a one eight six mhm the nice thing though is i said like i said the manga is 95 volumes it's all been scanned i don't want to say go out and steal it but well this is another thing we'll never see you know it's one of those few things that yeah you're not going to be able to buy yeah it's a shame though if you like it because it's worth reading yeah um so okay so if someone finishes the show finishes the ova they watch uh season one in season two yeah uh where about in the in the manga does it start does it pick up after the all the enemies when it's course uh let me see i can't remember where the second series ends um but you'll be able to find it here it goes by a couple names hojiminolivo um fighting spirits the other name that it uses that's why they used in america was fighting spirit yeah um i don't know where season two ends i've never seen it yeah same here season one ends like a decent ways into it oh wow season two ends doesn't say god oh okay sorry i don't know that one off the top of my head that was a good good question no big deal um my favorite fighter though was vorg and the reasoning for his fighting i want to drink my mother's soup apparently winning fights makes his mother healthy and they can well soup it makes them have money to pay for his mother to be healthy no they exactly that's yeah so i want to eat my mother's soup i was like all right then uh yeah check it out if you can find it uh more likely other other means there are some sites out there that do stream it uh dubbed and the double i should say this the dub work amazing like it's spot on the the person who played the coach or the chief i should say yeah it's like every freaking like boxing gruff voice trainer like it's just spot on perfect really well done the voice acting was really well done for the dub i enjoyed it immensely um hell they even sing in english it was awesome they go to the karaoke and something you don't see a lot of anime went to dub is they all actually sing and they did it was great and so and the you know the artwork is so so i mean you get a lot of the pan shots and and still shots you know panning but i mean that's an any fighting show so yeah i mean the interesting thing about that dub is they dubbed it twice oh really yeah they dubbed it in english and spanish oh man it's on the dvd's both dubs oh wow so yeah do you know if fighting fighting spirit took off in mexico or any of the spanish stream countries or i don't know it probably did somewhere in um it probably didn't south america i'd be willing to actually love boxing they got past here down there hmm so what was your favorite arc uh from that period i think it was um damn what was his name michiba oh the one with uh yeah yeah with uh damn what was the name of the move he uses the flicker the flicker jab yeah scariest fucker on earth yes but he is he's actually one of my favorite characters ah definitely definitely because it's really intense it's the first time you really see emo struggle with an opponent i think like really you feel his struggle and it's really really awesome yeah i like the who was a fighter with the claw or the shark bite or what he called it the tiger of naniwa the tiger bite or whatever he did yes that guy that one was pretty i like that arc another fag i'm gonna buy if i want to buy a bunch of freaking kids like playstation twos the fuck uh but yeah i like that arc the tiger of naniwa arc because he was like whooping everyone's ass including ipos and so it's a great show everybody yes so there he has it check it out how do you know ipo fighting spirit yay best anime is well won't go that far but he was pretty good it's best anime shut up anything else you
