[Music] What Nirvana has to do with anime is, I don't know. [Laughs] But you know, hey. Why not? Good song is good song. Exactly. Because we be back, bitches. Yes, we are back from our hibernation. Mm-hmm. Spring hibernation. Exactly. Too long, man. Damn busy life. Yeah. Stupid responsibilities make me do things. Mm-hmm. Yes, on the month we've last spoken. I've moved. I've moved all my shit cross-country. And I've been working a lot. That's mainly why we haven't been podcasting is my awesome, rotating schedule of eleven, eight p.m. And midnight, now working graveyard. It's great. Although it ends here in a week, so it's all good. Yeah. Hopefully it'll get better for you. Oh, yeah. We'll be back to podcasting like normal. But don't be surprised if we start releasing on weird days unexpectedly in the next couple of months, just because of that fact. But yeah. Boy, here to discuss anime. So let's do this. Yes, we are. So let's not talk about your life, right? Yes. Exactly. You're just going to care about that. No. They're all here to listen to me talk about Astrota's toy. Oh, god. You can't even watch that. So yeah. The last episode... It's actually a lot like Komodo no Jinkin, but we'll talk more about another. It's not nearly as bad as I was afraid it was going to be. Oh, okay. Anyway. So yeah, the last episode we talked about the brand new anime that's been airing. And well, now the anime's been airing for about three weeks. Mm-hmm. And not everything is aired. But almost everything now is about airing. So... Yeah. I have been watching a lot. You've probably been watching a lot. Mm-hmm. So what have you been watching? I've been watching Astrota's toy. As I said, I've been watching sea capitalism, the myth of soul and control or whatever that is. The money and the possibility of control. The impossibility of control. Awesome show. Thank you. Yeah. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. That... Oh, my lord. That show was good. Is it weird that it disguised it as a battle? It was a card battle. I thought that was a bit strange. But as a metaphor, I think it worked pretty well. Because you are, you know, I think how did I describe it on my... This... My post on... The... The site about it. But I've been watching that. And as I've been watching Amati's toy, and I've been watching the tiger and bunny. Which is actually pretty good as well. Yeah. It's a different one. Tiger and bunny is a little different than I thought it was going to be. Because they actually are putting real company names as in like company names in Japan. It's like FC on the suits for the heroes. And the show starts off with showing the suits. And it's showing very prominently the real advertisement. Uh-oh. So it's kind of making... Uh-oh. But the show still does make fun of the fact and the conflict between these heroes and their sponsors and their advertisement. So it's quite entertaining. It's doing it while making fun of itself for doing it. So they're never telling me it's like, "I want to be sponsored by Coke. But I have Pepsi." I don't like that. Not so far, but there is conflict between what... Am I gonna... Like in the first episode, the lady tells the hero to act. She's running the show, tells the hero to stop and not do something and say, "Okay, take care of this criminal, but wait until after we get back from commercial." And he's like, "What are you on crack?" And then he starts to get ready and is gonna, you know, so she has to continue following it. Gotcha. So, so they, yeah, so no, they play up the interplay between the, you know, the two sides of what they're doing, which is really good. And I've also been watching Stein's Gate, which is... Absolutely hilarious. And yet it's not a comedy. And yet it's not a comedy, but it is really well done. The main character is just so incredibly crazy. But he's gonna turn out to be correct, which is what makes it great. I mean, he is, he is... I don't know if you've been watching it all, but he is incredibly off the deep end. I mean, even in the first episode, he's talking on a phone to this supposed... It is a group of, you know, people who he's working with as a spy, and of course the phone's not on. And he keeps worrying about the company that is controlling the world, supposedly. And he, there's some time travel stuff that puts in its own weirdness, and he does it one point. Send a banana in a microwave, a phone microwave, actually, back through time, and start sending texts with the phone microwave back through time. And then it starts, evidently there was this person in the year around the year 2000 called John Titter, who was supposedly from the future, and was this huge Internet hoax thing, and started talking about how CERN had become the leaders of the world and the dictators. And they're bringing some of that in in the second episode, which is quite hilarious. But it's been very well. I mean, I have the shows that I have chosen to watch. I have all liked. I think that's the first time you've actually sat down and watched new wearing shows. I think it is too. But this is the first time there's been a huge number of them that are being streamed. It's really taken off this year. But yeah, so I'm really enjoying all of them. The best, I think, so far would either be Steinsgate or C. C was an absolutely perfect first episode. Yeah, that was really good. It definitely seems like it's going to have something to say. I mean, you know, of course, when you take a loan out for a business, you're putting your future as collateral. They're usually not as blunt about it as they are in this show. But, you know, the guy literally says, "We'll give you money and you will wage your future." You know, and you're competing with everyone else when you do this, especially in the financial world. But of course, they usually don't show it as a battle with cards and all these kind of things. Yeah, I thought I was like, "Wait a minute. They're trying to trick us." Those were great. That's why you don't drink in podcast. Yeah. That was probably really stupid. But that was really thirsty after I talked for a while. Especially since I teach and I talk all day. But I got tea all over my computer screen now. It's great. Awesome. But, and this got a really nice visual style and it's got a very nice way of showing kind of the monologue between a visually showing monologues between this crazy freaky guy. It was a mad hazard. Yeah, the mad hazard guy and the main character. I thought I enjoyed that really much. One thing I thought was entertaining, the guy that we see that ends up getting, they ends up killing himself in the first episode when he gets money from the financial district. His pin is 666. Oh, yes. That was the pin. That was the pin. That was the amount of money he waited. No, no, that was seen to be his pin, actually. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're right. You're right. Which, and somebody else also said that... Yeah, I was like, "Oh, come on. Give me a break. Come on." And I think it's also his... Oh, yeah, it was written on his card, so it must be also his account number, which I thought was pretty entertaining. But, so I don't know if that is, you know, intentional or not, but second episode is up now. I haven't watched that yet. It's good. I've already seen it. So it continues to be great? Yeah. It introduces the main character to the financial district. It's the first battle, and you learn more about what's going on, really. So, I'll leave it at that, though. So talk about a lot for a little bit. It is definitely a low-life service anime. I mean, you end up seeing the main character's panties like every two minutes. What are you talking about now? Astorati's toy. Oh, okay. You do end up seeing, you know, the main character's panties every two minutes. And she's 10. And she's 10. And in a second episode, you find out the main character is 23. And his daughter is 10. And they have this great scene in the anime, where everybody's kind of like, "What?" that means. And they actually do the subtraction in big visuals on the top of the screen. Which, of course, of course, means that she had her when he was 13. So that brings a whole 'nother disgustingness into the mix. But it does, you know, it is a lot like Komodo no Jynkin, where the main character has mental issues and, you know, they're working through them socially with her throughout the show. And it's very sweet. It's very cute. It's very saccharine. But it does have its heart in the right place. And so, you know, I don't know. It's really weird. It's much more fan-service-y than Komodo no Jynkin ever was. And that is somewhat disturbing. But it's definitely not a "you all need to go out and fuck 10-year-olds." Which I was honestly afraid is what it was going to be. So it'll be interesting since it is a streaming. And, you know, things like "Kiss-S6" exist, though. Somebody when I mentioned "Not Active" like "Kiss-S6" didn't do anything that was all that bad, which I kind of found ridiculous. But I don't think that would ever have been streamed. So it'll be interesting to see if it ever goes away. Oh, this is on Crunchyroll, too, so... It was? Yeah. Wow. Oh, yeah. So it'll be interesting to see if this ever goes too far. And if there's any backlash... You don't get censored if it is, anyway. And Crunchyroll has censored anime in the past, and they will continue to do so. Hmm. I didn't know that. What have they censored "Kiss-S6", I guess? Um, they've censored things like when they had... Well, they still have a Charger Chan Joon... Whatever. Charger Girl Joon-Joon. Hmm. Um, they've censored portions of that. Uh, they've censored... That's above and beyond the censoring that is done in Japan, which has gotten pretty ridiculous. They get the TV versions, basically. Oh, okay. So that's the Japanese censoring, then. Yes. Yes. So Crunchyroll only gets the TV versions. Yeah. Ooh. So... And those have gotten pretty ridiculous with the amount of censoring, and those even in Japan. Honestly. Um, I don't think it's... I don't think it's TV stations. I honestly think it's the TV... I think it's the show creators themselves. Yes, they know people will buy the DVDs uncensored, and... I agree. I don't like you at all, Big Brother. And now, this soft, teeny show. I think our prime examples of just going to the lowest common denominator and censoring it all to hell, just so people will buy the DVDs. I think it's now the new thing to do is, like, we're going to be pushing the envelope, you know, to the most extreme. But, to get it on TV will censor it up so badly that no one will want, you know, everyone will just watch the DVDs. Uh-huh. I think that's the new hip thing for... For... It's not really as bad as they make it out to be, and they censor it to hide that fact and didn't people buy the DVDs to fly. Anyway. Well, yes and no. No. I mean, like, all they had, um, like, I don't like you at all, Big Brother show. Uh-huh. They had camel toe, like, constantly, for some reason. Uh-huh. That if they were censoring. Uh-huh. Or the swimsuits. Which weren't even that bad, but... Right. But see, that's, that they're censoring that and think it's bad and it's really not. No. Like I said, I don't think it says anything that was wrong or bad or good. Right. I think it has to do with the fact that anime companies are now getting desperate. Yep. And there you go. And this is a hot new thing. Let's just censoring everything up the ass on TV. If it's not naring on ATX, let's just censor the shit out of it. So then when people got DVDs... No, no, censoring up the ass. That was good. That had potential pun, pun there. That was good. That was good. Sensoring it up the ass. Yes. So... Well, I mean, that's my point, though. It's just... Yeah, yeah. No, no. I think it's the creators that has nothing to do with the TV, to be honest. Right. Now, I guarantee you, the anime companies will be like, "Whoa, that's not true. No, we would be cool." Oh, yeah, of course they're not going to admit that fact. That would totally tick off the community. No, they're not going to admit that, but I totally agree. And if you hadn't said it, I would have said it. That I think that's exactly what they're doing. I mean, in things... It's just like what they did with "Astratus Toy." They made... The summary is worse than the show. And the summary gets attention, and so people watch it. That's exactly what they're doing. It's definitely... I definitely agree. Yeah, well, what can you do? So what have you been watching? I've been watching a lot. Sorry. Basically, I've been watching a ton. I've watched a lot of the new shows. Like you have watched the... You know, everybody said I've enjoyed it. I tried watching that "We Without Wings." Well, that first episode just murdered it for me. I dropped that show quickly. I was like, "Fuck this." Yes, 'cause there was two censored or... Oh, no, it was fucking ridiculous. The first minute is nothing but like, "Oh, these girls are showing their boobs and we're censoring it." And all this crazy crap that we've seen in other shows. And then they sit in a bar and talk about having a mixer with girls. And the woman is like, "The girl's all pissed off and... I don't know." It was just so fucking boring. I was just like, "I'm done. I don't give a shit." You're not giving my attention. Um... And you tried to watch the first five minutes of... Oh, it was awful. Yeah, I tried watching the first five minutes of... "S" "Dara the Toy Show" I can't see. You should give the rest of the show. No, I am not. Okay. I am not watching a show... I'll be talking to you about it then. About a 10-year-old girl was a suck guys off. I'm gonna end up on a list. But that's not what it's about. I don't care. That's just the... Okay. Don't care. I'm not watching it yet. Remember, you got me into Komodo No Jinkin and it was not nearly... You were right. So... This is the same. Now, I have so far. It may change. Man. I don't know. But... Well, you can see. Finally got to watch the end of Odoka the other day. Oh, God. I hope that show gets really... Gets a frickin' license here. Um... Yeah, people are calling it the best anime of all time. So... That's pretty freakin' awful. It's not that good. I mean, it's not the greatest of all time. Let me... Let me run down my list here. Okay. Oh. Oh. A channel. I've only watched one episode. They're on this episode. For now. I've got the second episode sitting at work. I just... I don't know. The first episode of A Channel was... Interesting. That's supposed to be low-life service too, isn't it? No. It is not. It just makes no fucking sense. It's like... Basically, it's about these three girls who are friends. And then this younger girl who was a grade behind of her best friend. And she's all pissed off about it. Now they're finally in the same high school. Look, this little girl, the younger girl, who's a freshman now, she runs around with a fucking bat. And threatens people. Like, why did she get to do this? It's okay. I don't... Just for no particular reason. And at the end of the episode, they're like, "Oh, I love you, Run Chan. Oh, you're so cute." And she's like, "Get the fuck off me, bitch." I don't know. I... I don't get it. Okay, that's actually pretty funny. That's the sun dread to the max. It's just like... What? No. I was like, "Why can this person run around with a bat around school and threaten people?" Uh... What else? Uh... History... Oh, that's the other big thing I've been watching. History is strong. Kenichi, History is the strongest disciple. Oh, how is that? I didn't... I saw one of those on... On... The... The Funimation Preview. Yeah, I don't want to say too much because I want to review this. I'm halfway through it. I'm 26 through 50 episodes. I'm waiting. You're actually going to watch all of it, are you? Yeah. Oh, I've invested this much time into it. Might as well finish it. Maybe there might be a surprise ending. I don't want to say much. I'm really... I'll say this. I could probably review it. Now. But... You know, anime can quickly change pace and... Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Depending when you're near the ending episode. So, I'll hold off in a way. I'll say... Let's... Let's just... A review of Evangelion, for example. After the first, like, five... Before the last episode would be entirely different than a review... After the last episode. Yeah. So... So, yeah. I'll hold off in way anything. I'll just say 50 episodes, I think, is way too fucking long in this show. I think 26 episodes, even 12 episodes, will have been more than enough. Anything. Um... The world only God knows too. It picked up where it left off. You know, more girls being saved. It's awesome. It's full of wind. Um... Oh, finally. My ordinary life. I've watched two episodes. They're episode four. It's just random shit to be random. And... That's really about it. It can be hit and miss comedy. I mean, it's not that funny, it's not that great. But I find it makes me laugh every now and then. I'm kind of watching it just to be like, yeah, okay. But it's 26 episodes and it's just... Again, it's gonna be one of these shows that are just way, way too long. You know, these comedy shows... You know, don't have a lasting appeal. In my opinion. I mean, like, it's funny, great, haha. But I mean, like, 26 episodes give me a break. So... Yeah. Um... So you've been watching... Did you do any of Stein's Gate or... No, I haven't. Honestly, I haven't had time. I've just kind of been trying... No, no, it's fine. I just was curious. I just haven't watched any of the Tiger and Bunny either. So the only one we are both watching is C. Yeah, basically. Cool. I mean, I'm just trying to focus on what I have in front of me and try not to spread myself way too thin because I only have so much time and I want to at least dedicate certain shows, I guess. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, and you got your job and that's what I have to worry about as well. I totally understand. Yep. So, yeah. Um... So that's what I've been watching a lot. I started watching school rumble again because I own it. I watched a little bit of it and I just... I don't know. Everyone keeps telling me how good it is but I just can't find a reason why. So, yeah. But it's on Netflix. I'll like screw it. I'll watch it again. See, you know, I'll check it out. Um... I also got K-On in the mail last week. I have yet to watch it though. Ah, got it on Blu-Ray. So... Well, okay. We got a lot of news. A lot of short news stories, thankfully. I'm able to recognize the sweet, f*ck you, Windows. Alright, let's go on and get into the news. Okay. Okay. Okay. This week in Anime News brought to you by Anime News Network. Alright, thanks Anime News Network because I can't find my own news anywhere else. And, uh, yeah. So, SoccerCon and, uh... Anime Boston happened this week. And there was entertainment or Bandai and Funimation showed up and all that stuff. So, there's been a lot of announcements in the last month. So, we're just gonna run through 'em. Bandai picked up Star Driver. Yay for that. Yeah, and they're even heard of that show. That's the one with the robot with the crazy ass pants and the guy. We swayed gay. Okay. Nope. Yeah. So... Nope. Crew a robot with crazy ass pants. Alright. And it's about a guy who, like, they all wear, like, crazy ass outfits. They wear, like, bell bottoms. Lame. It just, uh, just actually quit ending. So, yeah, it's already been picked up. Funimation adds, uh... Arya the Scarlet Ammo simulcast. This is the one with the girls with the guns. I, I downloaded the first two episodes last night and tried watching it. I will give you the premise of the first episode of the first two minutes. A girl is in a high-ass building in her pink-ass hair, point tails, waving around in a wind. A kid riding on a bike. Being chased by a segue with a fucking machine gun mounted to it. [laughs] Okay. If we can't make it worse. The bicycle that the kid is riding has a bomb strapped to it. All a speed. So, wait. The bike has to stay a certain speed. They don't say that, but I just assume so. So, he's being chased by a segue with a gun mounted to it, a machine gun. That is, that has to be the best use of a Sedgeway I have ever heard of. That is great. Oh, but it gets better. The pink-haired girl jumps off the building. And he's like, "Oh my God, a girl jumped from a building. This isn't like a movie or an anime or a manga. That doesn't happen in real life." [laughs] You broke a third wall, you fucker. So, she jumps off this building and then deploys a parachute. Apparently, the building is just so high, it's a parachute. Then she hooks her legs around the parachute straps, pulls the guy off his bike. Which, well, first she shoots the segue with her freaking burrettas or whatever. And the segue couples over and blows up. And then she pulls the guy off his bike, which the bike towels over and blows up. And she calls the guy an idiot. And I was like, "Done!" and I've turned it off. I think that might have been actually pretty cool. I mean, that's a nice little action scene right there. No, it's retarded as fuck. Alright, well, watch it, it's maybe in C. I know, the girls all have guns and it just made me think of, like, gunsling a girl, but worse or high school for the dead. Okay, well, not again, high school for the gun. No, no, no, no, just for the gun, gunplay. Just for the month, gun service. So, yeah, I don't know. Like, I was just like, "What the fuck am I watching?" I will try again later, so I turned it off. But I was just like, "Alright, done." Sometimes film work picks up Senko no light, no night raid. Basically it's a spy anime set in 1931. It's called Night Raid 1931. It'll be on Blu-ray and DVD in August. The story anime is set in 1931 in Shanghai. When the Imperial Japanese Army has been dispatched to mainland China due to the relatively recent first time Japanese war, or first seen old Japanese war. So, I don't know. In World War I, I don't know. I don't see an American audience for this show, to be honest. I don't know. Depending on, I mean, spy shows are pretty cool. If it's a Japanese James Bond, that would be pretty awesome. I would watch this. I mean, it would certainly be a part of Japanese history I know nothing about. That's exactly it. That's why I don't think it's very good. It's very good for an American audience. Well, no. That would be, I mean, if I don't know anything about that history, I might want to learn about it. So I would do so by watching this show. So that might be, I don't know. I think that might be. I'm interested. Okay. Well, there you go. Funimation picked up fairy tale. They've got the first 48 episodes of fairy tale. They're going to English dub it on Blu-ray and DVD for 2011. They've also picked up the broadcast rights. I mean, they got like everything. They got broadcast distribution rights, digital distribution, and like merchandising. So we'll see how that goes. They also picked up some crappy ass live action show about treasure hunting. What gives a shit? That, that would look really weird. What was that? It was like Madoka treasure hunting or something weird. I don't know. Section 23 adds a hit a mari sketch. There we go. Yeah, it's fairy tale live action treasure hunter. No, no, no, no. It's two different ones. Right. It's fairy tale. And then there's a crappy live action treasure hunter show. So there's nothing to do with fairy tale. Correct. It's actually pretty decent. It's fairy tale. The anime they've picked up. And there's some other shitty ass live action show. It's two separate things. Okay. All I can say. That's too bad. I thought they were related. No. No, they're not. Um, so yeah. Uh, section 23 picked up a hit a mari sketch X, which is I think the second season. Uh, we already have hit a mari sketch originally how they believe. No, it's the third season. But. Oh, is it? Okay. The third season was like star star star. Whatever. I don't know. Aye. Both series. Yeah, I don't know. Now they're right. Both series on DVD plus angel beats. They've got picked up as we said last time around. That'll be available in July. So. More more anime. Whoo hoo. Whatever. Uh, so yeah. They've also announced some release dates. Orphan, complete collection July 5th. Alison and Lila, generation 2, July 12th. And mari sketch. July 19th. Angel beats complete collection on July 26th. So they are having a very quick turnaround because they are doing absolutely nothing with these shows. They just throw one on blue, on blue ray and DVD and call it a day. So, uh, yeah, for that. And as America adds, uh, kana guitar and our kawakawa under a bridge. Uh, I don't know much about kana guitar or whatever. I am not familiar with it. But, uh, a kara under a bridge was interesting to say the least. Cause holy crap. With that show just random. It's about this like rich ass guy who hates being in debt to people. It's always told, don't be in debt to people. He, his pants got thrown up on this high ass pole by some kids or something. I don't know. He basically falls into the river and gets saved by this girl. So he goes, "Oh, I'm in your debt. I'm in your debt." She's homeless. And she's like, "Okay, well, I want to move in with you or something. I want to marry you or some jazz." And she's homeless and lives on her bridge. She's an alien too. She's an alien! She claims to be an alien. There's a frog guy who lives on the stream in a frog suit. It's just crazy. I tried watching it. I just, I couldn't. Maybe if it was the English stubbed I can watch it. I was too even too crazy for you. That's pretty good. They just talked way too fucking quick. It's like so much shit just happened. Because literally every episode was like six episodes in one. So interesting. Well, you know what I mean? It was like crazy. It was like something, it was like, it would start up like the dip in the pond and be him falling into the pond. And then they were like, living under a bridge. They had no idea under a bridge. And it was like, broken into four, ten minutes second. You know what I mean? Like five minutes. It was crazy. Finally, I think the biggest news is Bandai picked up. No, it was Funimation. Sorry. Funimation, I believe. I don't have the news in front of me. It happened a while ago. Nonetheless, Panning's talking got picked up. I believe by Funimation. I know that the rights got picked up. The broadcast rights, digital distribution rights, the merchandising rights. And I mention this because if you remember, a few months ago when the show was originally airing, on the Adult Swim Forum, say had the city forum of the name of the city and the show. Yeah. Anyway, I honestly think the show is going to end up on Adult Swim because it's perfect for the audience. There's a lot of restaurant, pop culture references. It's crazy humor. This is perfect for Adult Swim. I guarantee you to be there. Mm-hmm. I've never seen it, so it didn't look like kind of thing. I would be interested in. I watched the first episode. It was about toilets who were eating people. Yeah. That's why I didn't watch the first episode. I read the summary and I was like, "Yeah, no." Madoka Magic of Finale earns a 2.3 rating in the show's soccer area. 22.6 of the con side households were watching TV at 3.10 in the morning. And they were all watching the final episode of the show. So yeah, survey from the video research reports of the 12th and final episode of Puyallup Magica Madoka. Television anime series earned a 2.3 rating in Osaka's con side area early Friday morning. In addition, 22.6 of the con side households were they television on at 3.10 in the morning were watching the final episode of the show. The anime's producers were planning to air the final episode at the end of March, but the anime's usual time side of 1.25 a.m. However, the anime's final episodes were delayed due to "self-restraint" in the aftermath of the earthquakes. I don't see why they did, but yeah. Sogaku says "oh" is because they had a scene where they were in a gymnasium. Yeah, well, I was going to mention that that people had been um... I call bullshit, to say the least. No, I don't know. I've said certainly with the way that was all that was going. They should not have been talking about anything else. I call bullshit. Come on, "self-restraint" fuck you. Yeah, no, no, no, I don't. I disagree. "self-restraint" isn't going to bring anybody back or change anything. Give me a break. No, but it's still honorable and it's still not a month later. Give me a break. Anyway, so yeah. Can't just move on from a big tragedy like that. Hey, you've got a death sound. I love it. Um, it's like two Akishara. I'm attached. Oh, well, it is what it is. Two Akishara manga books can no longer be printed after July. Whoa. So the creative sites, the incest theme is why they can't print the book anymore. Not surprising. And everybody blames Ishihara. So. As I should. Who got reelected. Yeah, he did. Somehow. Somehow. I don't know if this is encouraging news or not. Evagally, 2.22 Blu-ray ranked number 10 in the first week of sales. I mean, now is that of Blu-rays at all or just anime Blu-rays? No, Blu-rays. Oh, well, hell yeah. That's encouraging then of all the Blu-rays. The ranked number 10 on the Nielsen video scan. An anime Blu-ray is number 10. Yeah, that's encouraging. They ranked on the Nielsen video scan sales chart for the week ending April 3rd in the United States. Funimation shipped the Blu-ray release on March 29th and sold 2.0. Two points. It sold 2% of the number of units that week's top selling anime Blu-ray. Oh, sorry. Top selling Blu-ray disc release. Disney's Tangles sold, uh, fucking, I lost my place. Sorry. Oh. Um. Okay. Anyway, who gets the shit? Either way. The biggest thing though, Walmart doesn't report their sales, so it could be bigger. Wow. Um, yeah. So. Nice. And here I was a sucker and bought the, bought the DVD version. Yeah, the Blu-ray version is supposed to have been the, what, fifty or seven percent of them that were sold, were sold to that. Well, I went out. It was, I mean, it was, it was a high, it was an HD release to begin with. I mean, like the, you know, I bought the Blu-ray because it was giving me for $9.99 pre-order on Amazon. So I was like, fuck that. I'll do that. So. Tokyo, it's all yours like the biggest news of all. Tokyo pop, it closed their North American publishing division. Yawn. I mean, in my opinion, Tokyo pop, were, were, I mean, they were huge. They were the first big company to bring over and, you know, manga and kind of started that revolution here. But. Right. I mean, they had, they had Sailor Moon, they had Clamp, they had Fruit to Basket, but, I mean, they just seemed to never keep up with the times or, I don't know, you know. I'm not a big manga person, so I can't really speculate, but they're gone. I honestly don't think it's a big deal. We've got companies like Viz and, and Vertical and Yen Press and a lot of other manga companies now. It isn't a one and done. So. What can you do? Yep. All right. Well, let's move on to our, what the fuck in a week? I'll let you go ahead and say. Oh, this is beautiful. This is, this is straight out of a, out of a. Out of a. Out of a. Hintai. Yes. Ah. That's great. Shop manager, rape, shop lifter. Pay with your body. And of course, the heading picture for Sengaku Complex is an actual Hintai where somebody is doing this. The manager of a convenience store has been charged with rape after a female shop lifter agreed to have sex with him in an effort to escape punishment. The incident began when the 35 year old manager of a Yaku Hima convenience store caught a 29 year old salary woman shoplifting in his store. He rang to her thus. Shoplifting is a serious crime. Your life will be ruined. If you pay with your body, I'll let you off. So not only did he do it, something that was on a Hintai, his word sounded like they came directly from a Hintai. He then took her ID and I had her accompany him to a hotel where he is said to have assaulted her. He was later charged with rape charges he emits. It is not clear whether police have will bother taking action against the woman for shoplifting in the first place. The back of the shop lifter caught and blackmailed into pendant sex in the stockroom is an established genre in Japanese AV and Iro manga has not passed without comment. Some doubt as to whether a criminal agreeing to accompany her victim to a hotel for sex in order to avoid punishment can really constitute rape in the normal sense also have been raised, although it is hard to see either side inspiring much sympathy. I don't know, I pretty much have some sympathy for the punishment does not fit the crime there. That's pretty ridiculous. Also on Sengaku Complex this week, we have a real life trap which was quite entertaining. You can find that on there and the other one that we didn't talk about, oh yes, Sulu from the enterprise is... That isn't what the fuck, that has made perfect sense. The Hollywood for whitewashing anime. I'm glad he's saying that. Even yeah, I'm sure he's glad I'm glad he's saying this stuff, it should be, I agree with him. That's why I was going to talk about it. But yeah, no, George Taki is a lot of anime that can make sense because the characters in a lot of anime are fairly much not Japanese. But in Akira, the characters are obviously Japanese. So that was pretty much ridiculous. Yeah, basically his argument was, hey, Hollywood, stop hiring non-Asian-American, why are you hiring white guys and people that don't even fit the character with stereotypes, or that's here, the character roles of the show to begin with, or the manga, or whatever, the sources. They're hiring just random pretty boys, American white guys, when it's like, clearly this should be like an Asian-American role, or, you know, whatever. Yep, agreed. Imagine if like Crouch and Tucker hidden dragon had white guys on it. Yeah, that would have been awful. It's another week, and the more DVDs are being released, what should you get? It's time for the weekly DVD business. What should you get? We will tell you. Yes, we will. Because we know we are the ones who know. Sure. I already got my pick and I already said it what it was, so, okay on, yeah, my Blu-ray bitches. Yeah, I get to watch though. I haven't hooked up my Blu-ray player yet, so, eventually I'll get around to it and tell you why it is for a dub and whatnot. Do you have a pick, sir? All the things coming out on the 26th, aka tomorrow, I think I probably have to go with the Eden of the East movie. Yes, that is another good one. That is supposed to be very good, though I have not seen it yet. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, very good show. All right, there you go. Easy as that. Mm-hmm. Well, I've got absolutely nothing to review because, well, that's kind of what the dude showed it. Get a show back out. How about you, sir? No, no, I don't have anything to review either. I can't, I can't, I can review it on anime show. I can talk about the, um, the game of Thrones, but, you know, nothing that. I don't know a lot about that. It's really good. I'm enjoying it. There you go. Well, it's been 43 minutes. You know what? What was called a short episode? I think we'll call it a short episode. We'll be back Sunday with another show and, uh... And hopefully a review. Yeah, no, I got to figure out what the fuck to review. Damn it. I'll try and finish up, um, no promises, but I will try and finish up, uh, uh, last exile. There you go. I didn't think that. That's even on Netflix. Yeah, it is. So, man, guys, see, this is what my problem is, is I'm watching shows, but none of them are short. Right. But, like, Kenichi, I could say a lot about that right now, but unfortunately, I'm only halfway through. Yeah. Um, like, yeah. Damn it. Oh, well, we'll figure something out. Anyway, thanks a lot. Well, we can review the... We already talked about the shows that we've all been watching that are new, so we can't really review those. And it's done temporarily. I kind of, like, wait for five episodes. Yeah. At least. So, yeah, I thought the same thing, though. Anyway, we'll just call it a news show today and... Yep. That's really about it. Yep. Yep. We've caught you up on the news and told you what you should buy and it's all good. Exactly. Alright. Thanks a lot for listening, guys. Yes, yes. Thanks a lot. So, follow me on Twitter. Yes. Yeah.
