and so much more so uh yeah how are things this week sir well you know teaching bleh students that don't want to work bleh country is going to the toilet bleh huh so basically bleh but that's all right there's always anime hey come on we got we got president obama coming next uh coming tomorrow and the the smart thing to do it's on a first come first serve basis that you can go into the arena to watch them it just seems like at least at least minnesota is a semi liberal place so yeah but hey obama won here too so and as we were smart and everyone here voted carry push last yes okay okay okay okay this week in anime news brought to you by anime news network yeah so about that high profile anime the disney xd is going to be adding the rutal shipping den in the us gasp the holly would report a newspaper of all people has revealed that vis media has confirmed that naruto shipping den uh will run on the disney xd channel in the united states starting next month uh naruto shipping den is a sequel uh that takes two and a half years later after the original naruto series they're now teenagers so yeah and uh a lot of people were pissed off which i honestly don't understand and the only what yeah people like oh no no no you don't understand it let let me school year okay explain to me why an anime series getting on yeah okay yes it's disney oh wow exactly that's all you need to know it's disney it's it's the guy that controls almost all of western media now and won't show sure wait wait wait wait wait Ted okay who yeah already then iced that made no sense since when does disney rule all the western media well they own most of you talking uh viacom correct yes okay i mean that's viacom is disney yeah and viacom is also a cartoon network and mtv and warring and mtv2 vh1 cbs etc etc this is nothing new this would be the point but they shouldn't be controlling anime as well anime with the one place trolling anime shut up controlling you know what they're showing naruto it's the first step man naruto is the most the the most popular anime in the u.s oh currently but they're not they're not controlling anime they're doing like they're not gonna try oh whatever whatever they have the money to do it are they gonna call up the japanese writers and be like hey this art sucks we demand you put mickey mouse in there they will have the power to do so i mean but our one saving grace maybe it seems like anime is actually dying in the u.s i was talking with the one person who actually contacted me on uh crunchy role who is a student at a local university and she has been unable to find people at her university that watch anime oh well yeah that's and we can't find many people watch anime anime is a niche subject and okay there was a time though in a college pretty much every college had an anime club yeah and there's a fairly early two thousands and you know what there probably is an anime club but it's a small group of people who don't who don't uh you know put ads out you know bringing attention to the fact I'm pretty sure she would know she said she's looked anyway that has nothing to do with that story well no it doesn't it doesn't i'm sorry so my point is like i don't understand why people are pissed off about this because it's more centralization of the entertainment which is bad what Disney's going to try and censor Naruto because they have censored other things in the past yes you know what though Naruto also got censored on cartoon network i know and we didn't like that either well that's why you buy the uncut DVDs it should be shown the way it's intended to be sure well it's since she is better than nothing this is better than nothing i don't understand what people are all pissed off oh they're gonna censor it oh my god you know what you've got fucking hulu crunchy rolls don't show that uncensored if you really care that much there are other alternatives to watch it legally i think this is good but it's going to be a bad thing because it's going to give people the wrong idea about what anime is about oh bullshit Naruto is now going to look even more like a kid's anime and it's not because of shamed out kids yes but not really though yeah it is no rule out of that sorry Disney XD's target uh yes Disney's XD's target xd's target audience is six to fourteen right though that's not Naruto's target audience maybe it is in Japan but it's not here and which and part of what anime is trying to do is get rid of the idea that uh hey pets that anime just whoa hold on yeah two speakers ah now i can talk that anime is just for children but anime is just for children that's part of what makes anime you know what though there's always going to be a segment of anime that quote unquote just for children this is bringing anime somewhat more mainstream okay it's a main it's a main stream network hi i'm past um it's a mainstream network owned by Disney targeted its target market is boys what eight to fourteen is their target really the goal is like sixteen i mean that's the whole point in their network the only thing it's not going to be any different than the airing on Cartoon Network was like thank you i mean it's not that much different of a show at that point even i mean it's not like it really evolved that much the characters got older but it's not exactly risque and no it's not it's not a great show and if there's an anime that i wish would go mainstream that would not be the one i would choose oh no but still that's neither here nor there you know one piece end up on there as well because i would like to see that get more popular in the u.s i mean some fans would be like oh no airing on tv means bad but what does it what difference does it make honestly the part part of the attraction to anime is the niciness and i am afraid that that's why as i said the this girl can't find it a club for it anymore on the college campus because there's no there was a club at my school but there isn't any more um but because anime is dying yes it's dying all this could do is help it because what i happen is there will be a whole it's dream and if it becomes nice see you can say it but um water down and it's going to be comfortable by holly it's not going to be a good thing that happened already what what kind of stuff are we getting out of there out of japan now we're getting homogenized cutesy yeah but that's not hollywood that's japan dude that's that's so they can sell it in japan because that's what's popular in japan and the companies are hemorrhaging money in japan for that matter they need exactly shows to be more popular but they don't like kind of shows to be more popular it needs to go back they do come dude it's just there you have to find them between all the crap you know that's how it's always been there's always been a a ton of garbage extend and when what we got were things only things like lane or things like no the thing you be stuff go back and actually look at what all came out at that time and there is a lot of garbage yeah the market was flooded with bullshit releases that were absolute garbage during 80s prime or anything we could get their hands on and it was all crap in the early 2000s the bubble the bubble was still growing and everyone thought oh holy shit from japan fucking get on the market in the u.s garbage released after garbage released got released and it didn't sell nobody cared about it and yeah there are going to be the good shows like lane or if uh or any of these any of these really popular shows well because there's a lot of stuff that the industry's changing man right now moei sells look at fucking cayenne look at all kinds of these shows moei moei moei there's always going to be a niche who likes what's out now and then don't buy it i don't want with your dollars this idea this is gonna in here think of it this way homogenized what happened to me the way i became a fan was dragon ball c on cartoon network during the ball c and gun and wing on a cartoon network or what made me an anime fan and after i watched those i went after more as i got older i wanted more i wanted more um complex shows so i went after more complex shows and that's how my fandom grew that's all the the biggest result i could see coming out of this is the same thing i mean on cartoon it's not going to be any i mean first off it's not that that network's not actually gotten no cartoon it's not that widespread the disney network disney xd it's not a terribly widespread network yet because it was originally tuned disney um and it hasn't been that successful yet that's why they're getting this because they need something already popular so they get that which needs to be successful still and it losing its place on cartoon on cartoon network was probably a bad thing and they jumped for the um they jumped for the best chance they had to um fix it obviously yeah i mean i i look at this like i was reading they had a comment section on the press release page for the Naruto thing and everyone was like oh my god this is so horrible why disney they're gonna censor everything the hill this isn't fair blah blah blah and it seems like a lot of people are overlooking the significance of this it's another anime getting some limelight getting some attention x uh disney has the dollars to freaking market this show across many of their networks and bring attention to this and you know and all i could do is i mean i think if if say disney ended up showing maybe three or four shows they they show in my dreams it would be one piece they show one piece on there and um they said one piece and then they showed Naruto and then they so they have a couple shows on there all that is gonna do is make fandom grow i mean one piece Naruto that stuff is all really popular shown and jumped that stuff it's all really popular and it's not complex shows no they're not gonna that's not gonna go away oh well dude it's say okay they're gonna censor it they're gonna say and they are gonna call the japan and say no we want you to tone down the blood or we won't show it so the shows that in the future that come out of japan won't be like they are now see i think that's over yet yes they've sent me in but it's a network for 15 years but what your network doesn't have the pull that disney does to call and say no we're not going to show it unless you do it this way i i don't know what difference is it may be censored or not because that's to be okay this because then i mean what's it made no no no my point is what's the difference if it's animated that way or if they just censor it to be that way to disney there's no difference oh no yes yes there is because it tells it takes them money it takes disney money to censor it not necessarily they don't have to censor okay okay okay let me oh hold on okay one second let me get an er what uh a word an edge wise let me use an example of charger girl judon chan just got done airing crunchy roll had a censored version of it it was censored it had a censored version in japan too uh well uh no not an atx every raw i saw was uncensored yeah well all the only thing that would be put online would be this uncensored correct the only no no no let me finish my point is charger girl judon chan for the american audience you know legally crunchyroll.com said look we want a thrown down version avec said okay well give you the tone on version because they want to take the show off of atx which is a premium page subscription channel so this is exactly let me let me let me finish let me finish all right well i would say this is a bad thing okay let me finish let me finish all right so they got the censored version but the reason they made that censor version is because they want to expand on what television shows they can uh broadcast on at a later date so now they can go to nhk or tbs or any of the other stations that show anime in japan but they can offer a tone down version that doesn't include the nudity that you will get more play and will get a wider audience than the people who are die-hard anime fans and paid for that subscription this is the same thing that's doing they're doing with Naruto okay yes they censored it but um do you have the option oh we don't even know how censored it is gonna be no exactly it's not that i don't care what you say it's not that violent to begin no it's not it's meant for kids it's aimed at kids it's hard audience is the same age as the damn people but it's but it's money but it's much more violent what what um the shows that Cartoon Network shows that are for kids what's things like teen titans it's insanely more violent than that they are going to the fear and it may be overreacting but the fear is they're going to cut it down to teen titan levels of violence you're just as you know you're assuming man there's no evidence you're assuming we are assuming i think you're just jumping the gun you're just assuming because it has a disney logo the disney do your backing that it's all going to go to hell and handbasket i think you're wrong i think this is just and that's fine i think this is just another china.com they have a story on five ways that anime goes beyond western animation well that goes beyond western animation is what makes it good or if the fear is that it's going to stop going beyond western animation because these companies like disney are going to start demanding that it be more like western animation no because you know what Naruto is popular as hell a company isn't going to just bow to the witches of well oh wow they have one partnership or vis um vis has no control over what they what uh i'm not sure who i want to know this is owned by the japanese yeah exactly owned by shogaku kon and shishwa in japan the two companies that own Naruto i think one of them is gonna list is would if disney said no we don't want to show this well we won't show any of your don't cut it they can just edit it they can just edit it i don't see why they would change the way a show is produced in japan first off if you want this kind of shit you shouldn't be going for shonen you should be getting seen in and stuff you shouldn't be getting obsessed with these uh if you want this more violent stuff you Naruto is not where you should be look i don't watch naruto i don't watch an aruto and i i think that and i find the idea that has to be an uncensored version of it pretty ridiculous but i'm afraid it's going to bleed into the i mean it's uncensored on hulu it's uncensored everywhere else yeah crunchy rule we don't know what it's going to be on disney for all it could be uncensored you don't know that until it airs you know you don't i would feel be very very surprised if it was uncensored because i have to say they didn't censor much to begin with the thing is the dvd's original that came out were dubbed only in english and then viz came back and said you know what you fans who love naruto are asking for the actual japanese dub you know we'll give it to you this and that and the other thing i honestly think zaldar you're just jumping the gun and fear-mongering you're you're your mom yes you're like i you're like i you're like a you're like a nate you're like one of those apocalypse mystic right now so i missed it i think you're just jumping the gun and i'm thinking too much into it yeah exactly we'll see what happens we'll see how censored it is and you know what though viz and shotgun and they aren't sitting back in their desk and going oh my god we need a dvd on the us uh no it's already freaking popular they've worked out deals online the fans who are wanting it who've asked for getting it this is just another way to bring it more mainstream to people that's all mainstream i want to yeah mainstream anime that's not bad at all man it's a good thing because if it doesn't get a little more successful these comp these are going to go out of business because it's not if you think tv shows all dar but you could only you would would you say oh i wanted it's a really good show i really like it people i've shown it to really like it but i only want one third of the population to even watch it know what it is or when you're given the opportunity to expand that market you know expand the population are you going to say no by expanding the market i would make it so that other shows would be different and not as good yes then i would be free and that's the fear that it's going to become watered down window unwashed masses start liking it my my response to that is that is never going to happen man there's tons of personal i hope that it's not going to happen dude this last season of anime had 40 something odd shows there's in there's some more horse shit yeah um exactly no but still the point is like they got i want to make let me see some room go ahead but a lot of them were shit none of them are airing in on tv in the u.s the shit they're not eric yeah that's true point they're they're shit because that's what's they're shit to me because that's what yeah that's what you don't like but it's not what i i'm interested in i mean i'm watching like i said i'm watching two shows that are airing right now one really one i've kind of let buy me but um we get a pretty wide right we get a lot of shows in the us we get a lot of the shit there's a lot of crap i get to release that only last for three four of more mediocre stuff in the us then we get the stuff that in my opinion so in a lot of ways like i don't give a shit if we get set if oh no um more stuff in the same category as naruto ends up being more edited in the us i mean it'll be unedited on dvda blah blah blah it's just not that important to me because that's not the kind of show i care about exactly i'm never gonna sit down and watch this i could care less either way i just think it's really awesome that another anime is getting another tv getting some tv airtime stops here and they don't start censoring the other ones as well i want to say this too naruto is going to disney at the same time monster is on sci-fi and monster i thought was fucking awesome i'm gonna start to be watching that on side monster is an incredible series it's an incredibly mature series it's an incredibly honestly if you want to get anyone into anime that's a more serious person that's a series to show them it is that kind of good i want and i also want to say something else both both being released by the same company there you go both viz the person tv one is for a children's market one is for an adult market they're drastically different and hopefully sci-fi channel won't censor monster there i mean sci-fi has been pretty good sci-fi has had one problem and it was a big problem with Gundam double zero season one yep season two really oh really um in that um um you know right when the credits start they shrink up the screen and then they show a preview of the next program or something like that there was a problem with Gundam double zero season two because there was always a scene after the credits uh in those scenes they were shown but the sound was being covered over by the uh sound from make your own dubs like i love you no i hate you yeah but they're significant stuff no i hear yes yeah it might finish i don't think i had the same thing on um part two network with um point is if you're really really really hardcore about any of these shows you're either going to find different ways to watch them or get them on dvd more hulu they're freaking on sis exactly that i think i don't want to censor on hulu and that's one of the reasons they even stayed in the press release regarding this is how well it was doing on hulu over everything it's beating freaking family guy in some case you know it's been pretty successful yes and disney wants in can you blame them i can't i mean disney xd has been kind of desperate they've been desperate to try and get some uh better or some more popular stuff on it because it's kind of been floundering from what it sounds like to me i have no idea i don't want to show or the station or anything so i i read a decent amount about it early on because um i don't know i just did because i'm interested in that kind of stuff i like actually i'm interested in disney as a company in general because they're an interesting company well there you go so does anybody know when they're starting to show monster on sci-fi i'm trying to it's already started i'm fairly certain they double check but i think it did ah i wish they'd advertise that because i didn't want to lose yes that one yeah it sucks because they share two episodes a week of course they don't have it on their shows anywhere well if you got to look for anamundays yep anamundays well let's go ahead and move on and i guess i don't have to worry about uh losing time because we just spent a frickin half an hour on that is it really yes well about 25 minutes oh still says all their showing is Gundam i might be wrong i thought it started but i might be wrong about that pat says this might be interesting to you because you go to this uh for next year New York Comic Con and New York Anime Fest are gonna be sharing the same weekend and the same show floor and if you get one ticket you get the same ticket to the other one so essentially getting two shows for the price of one yeah that was interesting to me yeah what do you think about that i think is you're going to the new you you attend that con i'm going to New York Anime Fest this is my first one actually this it's in a couple weeks but um the thing that was interesting i was talking to a friend of mine yeah you get into both for the same for one price one but here's the thing their schedules are completely independent their guests are independent yes they're pretty much two independent conventions in the same convention center at the same time for one entry that sounds kind of weird but here's the thing they're gonna have two separate schedules so it's like here to be running around disappointed because they're normally six months far so it's like now he's gonna have to now you're gonna have to pick between this comic book thing or this anime thing for everything which was kind of like oh yeah because it's gonna it sounds like it'll be a really crowded place oh yeah New York Comic Con is freaking huge they always get a bunch of stuff your comic con is really big New York Anime Fest is actually pretty big it's not quite as big as Otacon but it's pretty freaking close and the two of them mixed together is going to be a very very cramped experience i think or not i'm talking about it hard to fathom because that's a lot going on at once you know what i'm afraid of nerds duking it out like superman versus delight no that would be hilarious actually i'd like to see that yeah all right but yeah i know what you it's just like i almost wonder though it's like probably be there next year god knows it's a long time away yeah it's not until october 8th through the 10th of next year or so it's over a year away yeah it's over a year away like i said yep i don't know i find it interesting but like you said you know people who like both i you know i wonder if they're gonna like i i would hope you know that yucky says it's gonna be independent but they at least they'd be like you know what we have a really big guest from the comic book universe you know let's not overlap with a really big guest you know from anime and you know divide the group up but maybe they might you know who knows i would hope that they would at least do a little bit of planning together just for the sake of the attendees i'm sure the planning is going to be i mean it's the same guy manages both oh well there you know i imagine a decent amount of planning will be done between the two but it's still one of those things where it's like oh that's going to be uh um fd thing um hmm definitely uh well our final story um directors dispute the reports of poor animator salaries um i found this kind of i don't know like i almost i read the story and felt like they were just kind of paying lip service just you know talking down like oh that's not true um i don't want to read this whole article book all kind of gloss over it because it's just a lot of facts and numbers more than anything but if you remember that story we had i think about a month ago about that poor animator who did the tracings or whatever um it only you know it had it worked i think it was like 12 hour days had a little in little dinky apartment and without a bathroom i think it's kind of referring to that story i don't remember off top my head though i think it probably is too it was the first thing i thought of and i started reading it um the jkast news website notes a june 29th uh manatee manatee uh manatee shimber i can't even say it i'm sorry anyway an article written on june 29th on an animator who only earned seventy thousand yen a year or excuse me a month or about seven hundred sixty dollars a month uh with japan animators animation creator association uh conducted a survey earlier this year that said that there were anime staffers in their 20s who work ten hour days uh for an annual average annual salary of one million yen which is only eleven thousand dollars um according to the jianica eighty to ninety percent of the perspective talent pool do not continue as full-time animators since they cannot afford to live on the salaries it's a huge turnover rate but when you get into the higher and you know uh positions like an animator animation director um uh you said the anime uh god damn sorry it kind of lost my place uh well basically said it's not necessarily poor but they said like a television series sound director makes between a hundred and fifteen a hundred and eighty thousand yen which is uh sixteen hundred to twenty two thousand dollars uh and then this is a per episode figures i'm sorry these are per episode television series director makes between two hundred thousand and two hundred fifty thousand yen which is about twenty two hundred twenty five twenty seven hundred dollars per episode animation director makes about three hundred thousand yen which is about thirty three hundred dollars and that's per episode and a lot of series are six to twelve to twenty four to fifteen oh it adds up quickly and then they get into further stuff saying you know sound sound people can make you know uh you know two thousand dollars per episode but they can do them in two or three days um and they usually work on three or four episodes it was an interesting read i would definitely say check it out on anime news network um you know i don't know do you think that this whole the whole thing is overblown or do you think it's fair to say i don't think we know enough to know we don't know i mean it's the tracings that this guy did we don't know they said that people who do that stuff make about forty four dollars per tracing but they said about five thousand uh tracing is going to one episode but they said it's also delegated to about a dozen people who do just that right but we don't know how much skill that takes so we we can't really say you know how much they should be getting um you know if they don't think if they think they're not getting enough and it's something that takes some skill to do then they can get together and form a union you know what do you think that uh it sucks i i i'm gonna probably guess that they probably do not get paid very much because that's what i've heard that's not it's not the first time i've heard that no it's not a new pretty believable to me it's not fun i'm not imagine should they be getting paid a lot we don't know oh i wouldn't think i would think i would think i'd want it bottom line is i'd want a livable wage but i mean come on like they said eighty to ninety percent of people freaking just leave the profession altogether but they can't they can't look yeah they can still find people to do it yeah but um you know like when we started our you know some of us are still in our not a career but i mean when you first jump through the door of your career you're not handed a high-level position you're given a grunt position and you just got to prove yourself and work your way up and sometimes you got to have one or two jobs i mean i don't know i mean i i i side with the animators like it sucks you're making that low of money but you know how many i mean i don't know it's like it's almost like a natural talent either you're gonna have a love for animation and you're gonna do what you have to do to make goodbye or you're just gonna say oh i thought it was for me and you didn't find out you didn't make a lot of money and get out the door and what you can and do something else and it's it's it's thank you i mean people would know when they're going into it how much money they're going to make for it and you don't it's like here you don't go into unless you want to become a star you don't go into animating to make money well yeah you could just do that but i mean like the um you know just because you want to be an actor doesn't mean you're gonna be in a frickin hollywood film your first your first you know gig you're gonna be doing a lot of crap work to get your name out there and you know it's like anything else just because Kobe Bryant's a super mega millionaire doesn't mean just because he touched the basketball that Nike and the Lakers game running to him you know he had to prove himself on the basketball court or you know lean order capital from elementary school law well you know what i mean well i think we made our point you know i don't know i thought the industry was interesting nonetheless just because you know you've really it's always funny like you always i've always read on forums people are like oh i'm so good at drawing i want to go be an animator in japan i can't wait to live like i can't wait till i'm growing up living japan go be an animator like even a friend now she's like 16 and she wants to be an animator in japan she's like well i can draw really good i'm like yeah okay good luck with that well a lot of it is it's not so much they want to be animators they want to be like manga artists yeah manga or or say youth in manga arts that's a different kind of worms because you basically work every day all the time right you don't really have time off for most of them yeah you get paid reasonably well because they're if the manga does good though if you're just doing dudelings and a couple people buy it but you don't have you know you don't have a uh uh you don't have a contract with shown and jump or something you're not getting paid per se for your work you're just doing doodles on a piece of paper that's like the market will decide what it buys and what it decides is good so yeah yeah that wasn't stupid a lot of times a lot of times it's one of my favorite stuff from jump has gotten canceled while an erudio keeps going uh wrong not bitter about some some serious but i'm not bitter i'm just angry they don't they don't have enough intelligent stuff anymore it's all this mo-crap and i'm angry too except for completely different looks for the good stuff there is plenty of it go go to sig icky.com and read the shit that's on there and i i i teach i don't have money to buy this stuff i'm telling you to buy stuff i'm telling you to go read it for free on the internet yeah well that's not supporting it though no it is it's viz's website oh okay that's different excuse me sig icky.com is support the viz signature series they're bringing in series those are series targeted to adult males they're all serious oh basically what's going on now is viz is releasing tons of shit like a bunch of shown and jump shit so like you know stuff like even stuff i'm buying like rosario vampire or noruto and they're using that money to release the good shit shit support the shitty stuff and burn the did boy burn the books just make sure they get the money just make sure they get the money to give that bring the good stuff there's i mean that's what noruto's crazy sales all that's doing is giving them money to afford to release shit that's good i mean they're releasing 20th century boys in polluto which are two of the best series released here ever and unfortunately i'm not much of a manga person and more of an anime person but i will check out their website hey i was the same way man i own about 31 manga volumes of just various things i was the same way i'm like oh i'll never read manga and then i bought my first manga i was the same way too and then i was like oh my god like wow and partly because of the patch because he's like dude check out this check out this one called sundown i'm like okay and now i own all five volumes that have come out and i've looked and i've other and because i've watched anime like um fruits basket doesn't end you have to continue reading the manga uh um here's in her circumstances same way get involved in anime this end if i can avoid it for that reason there you go well let's go ahead and get to our dvd pics shall we no we'll much yeah uh actually says i'm actually some big stuff coming out the dragon ball season one and season two okay yeah the Funimation's uh dragon ball box at that they talk about it orcon comes out that came out this week uh oh sorry next week yeah i think it's not on the league this time wait oh sorry i'm thinking in the rock i apologize oh now i was thinking next week damn it ha ha ha you have to week wait another week fear not a dope crap all right yeah there's uh nothing i'm not picking jack shit now i have heard that jin key is good if it's what i'm thinking about i couldn't tell from the description and yes i probably should have gone and checked somewhere else but well i didn't if it's what i was thinking about and it's what they were talked about a little bit at the um school girls and mobile suits convention last time last year that i think is supposed to be good uh red garden is i've heard good things about as well red garden sucks ass all it is is four girls crying the entire time we're screaming well there's supposed to be some horror fighting so yeah no it's a horror but a lot of it is like oh my god i'm so scared i'm gonna cry for a while oh there's something scary i'm gonna scream for a while it's terrible it looked it had that same kind of wallflower animation so it didn't interest me much at all uh i watched the first volume and didn't watch the rest all right yeah i didn't i mean it was interesting but like when the first two or three episodes and nothing but crying and screaming it's kind of like already then i want to go you know hit a brick against me for a while the daphne and the brilliant blue cover looks nice yeah it's a beautiful cover i have no idea about the show but i like the cover you know what's popular is um nana yeah i've heard good things about nana it's popular with some certain people not me but almost it's about oh it's about two girls named nana from different walks of life oh they yeah they move in together and then they support each other in their lives or some bullshit you're poor and i'm rich one of them was a punk rocker i think yeah in ones like i miss a nice girl you were yeah so so um submissive that her nickname is dog they showed the first episode of this last year actually at uh squirrels and mobile suits as well yeah it's something that has just been sitting on forever and they're finally releasing it and i know a lot of people are excited about it i have no experience with the series so i'm not but um it's like that same kind of moe stuff that um it's wrong well it's targeted it's target audiences girls not boys girls yeah we have showed up we have too many parts in the wrong parts to be the target audience for that so oh yeah some i've enjoyed shoujo in the past but not this but i don't know about that i mean it's not a target for me why sound funny no i sound fine my fur is killing me uh oh man flared beetles rock band flying flu ah done done done how do you like that you want to be a little fun it's a lot of fun man if i'm pondering it i was i was like playing um yellow submarine i was i was fighting back laughter as that song as i was playing it when i was getting ready to start busting up because it's such a funny song yeah and the video is amazing for it yeah when the the beetles could do um uh druggie songs quite well oh no uh watch gone youtube and watch the uh i am the walrus video when we played i am the walrus that's a trippy ass video song we played it doesn't actually it's like uh that song is amazing there's no coherence at all nope no absolutely none there's coherence to um yellow submarine and octopus's garden it's insane but they they're what makes sense they make sense but they don't make sense they're insane they make sense come on you can understand what they're saying with you can understand i am the walrus with lyrics of i am the walrus kuku kuchu you know it's good what what are you going to expect exactly yeah exactly uh so yeah in that regard nobody has a DVD pick because everything is crap i mean if you had something i'd say nana i'd get jinkey i'd get nothing i'd probably get jinkey too but i'd tell other people to get nana i'd say save your money for next week when you want to get the super super special edition of dragon ball i want that why would you want to do that just saying why would you like dragon ball because you know that stuff that's good why don't you watch something good like dragon ball because the show where the fights take 20 episodes go watch dragon ball it's not like dragon ball see dragon ball is oh okay first one yeah the first one is comedy you are correct excuse mostly comedy it does have fights i get more and more fighty later on but um i get confused i have not watched much of the first one so i can't say anything all i have seen is z and that doesn't interest me z is amazing i like fun that's i hate you don't like you you don't like bleach but you like drag because it they power up without any kind of explanation and you like dragon ball z okay i don't like it like i said dragon ball z is the series i became a fan of with so it has a different position in my you know what though you know what when you get something for free well i mean granted you're paying for cable but when you're giving something and it's new to you you'll take what you can get and then you realize there's more out there and you go oh okay but when you're in some on tv you can't call up carnto network like i hate this show place i'm moving else well actually you can they have forums now where people do that quite a bit actually it's quite fun oh i've gone on forum and told them their show sucks because they're playing that stupid show with the naked kindergarten don't know okay not a shin-chan huss oh shin-chan oh that's an adult swim yes that's relatively popular yes that's very popular and it's fun it's apparently a huge pain in the ass to produce too well yeah they're redoing the entire frickin show and cutting shit up they're cutting up the episode yeah they're just cutting shit from random episodes it's the thing which is why this shows make no sense and it's not any good come on don't you want your hero to be action bastard that's the greatest hero name ever action bastard that's the greatest hero name ever but yeah they cut up episodes that make zero sense and they do their own writing and dubbing for it because the only way it could be popular in the u.s i mean it wouldn't be success i mean it's very much a little kid show in in the in japan there you go they're taking something that's a kid show and they're turning into an adult show it's the opposite of what you say in your face it is it is but of course it sucks so that doesn't work as an example come on this is that awesome rap it's the only way and don't get me wrong i hate you in japan too okay i was gonna have to seriously start worrying about you but i don't watch it also at all anymore so yeah i don't why i don't go out looking for it either i tried watching it because it was supposed to be funny and you know hip and all this kind of stuff and i'm like okay this is dumb these characters are completely and utterly not anybody i can pull for they're all stupid yeah okay okay anyway go ahead and do your review of bleach down into yours i'll do mine after all right so i don't want to see her as good spoilery who's mine oh um uh jello man uh troto um yeah i was gonna say you listen to mine you're never gonna watch this no so those of you've been listening in this for a while maybe all two of you i don't know oh no that i do enjoy me some guilty pleasurable each every once in a while and i've watched the yeah yeah yeah i gotta get away from lane and even things that make me go hmm every once in a while but the they said they played unfortunately they didn't this month weekend the first bleach movie memories of nobody which was okay i mean it was nice seeing things with better animation the animation was very nice uh battle scenes were very nice but a lot of it just seemed they put things in to show that they could do all this nice animation they put in parts for water and parts of rain that didn't have a whole lot of point to the plot just because rain is supposedly hard to animate and say see we can make pretty rain and i got a bit annoying it also has them some of the problems with any kind of series that has a movie thing uh where the at the end of the movie everything is the same as it was in the beginning you know nothing changes there's no character growth there's no plot growth and even at the end of this one because of the way things worked they had they forgot everything that happened uh they ended with saying uh rukia is telling the main character that you know soon she will be gone from your memory right so and that was a bit much okay not rukia is hot though not only is anything gonna not only is not anything good nothing gonna change but they're not even gonna remember any of the experiences that they had but the fight scenes were reasonable um will the what we learn a little more about the bleach cosmology just makes the bleach cosmology even more ridiculous but you don't watch bleach for the cosmology if you do you're insane uh you watch it for the fight scenes and the action and the fight the fight scenes and the action are reasonable they come at a reasonable enough clip and they're reasonably enough entertaining uh there's none of the what makes pat's angry the power from no apparent place or you know people powering up for no apparent reason the day of sex mock units that all the damn time in that show there not not as many of those in this um there's still you know still kind of some uh basically there's evidently some of the souls in the bleach world lose their memories and become disconnected from the cycle of rebirth and eventually when they do this they form they come all come together and some form some new dimension and when this happens all their memories come together and coalesce into some being that eventually it returns to the world of the living releases all its memories back into the cycle and everything goes back hunky-dory to the way it was before of course this time when this happens the universe expands to such a point that it connects the world of the living with the serete um because of this it's actually bringing the serete and the world of the living together and they're going to crash into each other how that's possible you know since as these things are not actually planets i don't know i didn't think you could have dimensions crashing into each other but as i say you don't watch bleach for the cosmology uh and while in this the girl that is the collection of all the memories appears in the world of the living and appears in the world of the living of course as i sold we learned that the souls without memories are called blanks on some big baddie who we've never heard of before is trying to collect the blanks and collect the person that is all the memories and release them so that the two universes do crash into each other because they were thrown out of the um serete for trying to take it over gee you know you would think you would try to take over and overthrow the king that you would expect something like that but of course he's so pissed off that he now wants to destroy the entire world uh so you know he has uh each go has to go in and fight them all what she does and all his friends come with him even though they were ordered not to yada yada yada same kind of normal bleach stuff yeah the fights are entertaining though as i say the we don't see anybody getting any new powers good thing kind of a bad thing though because sometimes those are entertaining the it ends with everybody forgetting about their experiences and forgetting about the girl who had all the collection to the memories one of the reasons i really one thing i didn't like about it is it could have been much more it could have been much better than it was they it had the seeds for talking about what what it might be like to be someone who had memories from disconnected memories from different people and they did a little of that the girl that was was the collection of all the memories was trying to prove that she was real and she was trying to prove that she was a real person and was actually buried of course she was not and you should go in the end and not have a heart to tell this to her but they didn't explore that any they never explained why this person this thing that it was supposed to contain all the memories which before they acted like was a rock or some crystal was a person they didn't do enough about what it would be like to have all these disconnected memories if you're going to make them a person make make them at least a character that makes sense and they never explained why she would appear as a soul reaper but she was an entertaining character she was kind of funny she was a good comic relief but it was an action show and if you you know you kind of have to it's not going to bring anybody to bleach you didn't like bleeds to begin with but if you like it it's worth watching if you can find it on tv for free i wouldn't buy it i might rent it if you're in the mood for some more bleach so probably two out of five stars oh wow okay well of course i wouldn't bring you one new to bleach because it's a frickin movie the story line is already going sometimes some of them are supposed to do that supposedly the any action movie we're supposed to bring new people to any action i don't know how they would i haven't watched any of them i don't plan on it so gotcha okay well uh last week i did a review of uh black lagoon season one i had the opportunity to get to watch black lagoon season two so i do a quick review of it and uh to what i think so here is black lagoon season two it's called the sucker barrage uh basically the second barrage starts off exactly where the season one left off even going as far as hey this is episode 13 um it starts off identical same fights or same uh intro everything it's not like they did anything differently uh so it starts off with various people in ronopair being murdered and everyone's really freaking out going you know who the hell would do this in a town like ronopair uh you know a town with lawlessness and and uh you know everyone's the worst of the worst criminal who would have the balls to go on murdering people for no reason um so bella likea uh one of her really close friend or close comrades gets murdered by whoever's doing these murders and she puts out a very large bounty on them or on the person excuse me so it turns out to be two kids who are twins and this is where it kind of gets tough to watch i found um because you see some really graphic stuff um and learning about these kids background uh the but the main part of the story after that little arc um it really takes about the remaining eight episodes or remaining nine episodes to finish off this arc um bella likea gets asked to go to japan to uh help a fledgling yakuzaic family reclaim its once uh great reputation well it turns out that rock and revy get to go to japan rock is going as a translator revy zares her bodyguard or his bodyguard so a lot of this uh really focuses on rock again and he has to make the choice of does he want to stay in japan is he want to continue going on with black or with the black lagoon company or you know what does he want to do what does he want um there's a lot of twists and turns it's not as cut and dry as you think it is and it's really really good like i said it's like eight or nine episodes long the entire arc but it's really good uh it's a strong way to finish out them out the show um and and uh they do leave the door open for a third one like it like in the end all the characters are still there nothing earth shattering happens per se to right ruin the anime and say nope you can't continue the story because that door gets left open uh there's really really you know everything's still the same the same voice actors the arts the art is still really good the only thing is i would say that this second season is a lot darker and grittier than the first um you see a lot of children being beat or killed and if you can't stand watching uh that i don't think you're gonna like it also don't come to the show with uh if you're really really moral about religion they do a good job of trampling on religion in the in the uh second season here and um other than that it's it's black lagoon if you watch the first and you like it you'll definitely like the second season um does it have an overall story plot no it's very episodic no black lagoon being episodic no it's not sarcastic right yes no there's nothing really big that ties anything together you're just it's the characters that are there and the events don't really tie into each other they'll make reference of things that happened in in previous episodes like um in one uh arc there is a huge huge huge gun battle going on because oh so there's two arcs or there's three total arcs i apologize the third the second arc it's about this girl from the u.s who gets brought to make fake money and it gets all fucked up and lagoon company ends up helping her that's having to help her in some way but for example like i was saying don't make reference of past uh events like there's a big gun gun battle going on in their car gets blown up and they'll be like oh shit we just got that repaired you know from the gun battle before which was maybe like episode five or six you know other than that no there isn't very episodic unless you're in the middle of an arc like i said last week things just seem to happen lagoon company gets involved some way or another there's an obstacle put in their way they have to go defeat that obstacle to finish whatever the objective the entire you know scenario is um that's about it there's nothing really episode there's nothing episodic about it unless you're watching an arc but an arc is typically three episodes four episodes long so unless i'm misunderstanding the the meaning of being episodic well no generally episodic means that it's an episode and they're not disconnected i mean they are not connected mmm i guess they can and guy guy and i i really don't know you could probably call it episodic i mean it has story arcs yes but they don't really have much bearing on each other exactly and there's no overall there's no overall like impact on the end of each arc it isn't like oh i've reek i've rethought my entire thing that main character is leaving no it's nothing like that there's no huge impacts on the overall characters or the people who come and go throughout the story some people may die here and there but they're probably just b-level characters to begin with so they weren't affecting the overall story now if uh benny or rock or every died that would be huge but that doesn't happen so i guess you can say very very very very loosely in the loose essence it's episodic but you're not watching this show for a plot or a story line it's just good art it's fast-paced the arcs are interesting the art works beautiful and yeah you're watching it nothing more nothing less um so yes recommend it if you like season one that after you don't see them do though yeah see that wasn't very spoiler-y yeah i always worry about that with you because you like to go on about plot a lot i'm like oh no he's gonna ruin this series for me well there i did i didn't yeah it was and i tried to make mine yeah you know what though it's bleach bleach it's a bazillion episodes plots not that one yeah no plot is not very important english especially if bleach were it has no bearing on these on the tv series so right there i mean there is a plot in the tv series but not i mean it's certainly not earth shattering once you're watching you know you don't watch bleach for that if you're watching bleach for the philosophy you need to go back to school yeah desperate yeah but uh no it was good so i think we're gonna wrap it up here because really that's it's all i really used to talk about dinner reviews talk their news argued over Naruto i never thought that would happen well you know i had to think of something to fill the time with no you're just sure no i'm just opinionated yes i am no you're wrongly opinionated oh i see all right fear-mongering opinionated
