difficulties for a while a while exactly I swear if we would have been stayed on schedule we'd be on like episode 30 but yes we're here to bring you our weekly news DVD picks and this week we're also gonna do some e3 talk because gaming an anime go hand in hand yeah yeah like pie and marshmallows I don't know pies kind of on my mind today Perkins hi is good what I what what's wrong with you are you not American I'm not Korean see you there you go Koreans aren't looking up to have pies they would die to have pies I wouldn't go that far okay I'll tell you earlier this week I was craving chocolate cake I don't know why I didn't even get me can you leave that shit you know you could just go to the store buy what's called cake mix and cake frosting buy cake mix were you making a fucking cake like actually by cake yeah well that's actually if I'm gonna go buy something I'm gonna buy a cake and it's gonna cake mix what you were like fuck you bitches I made cake it's good be like fuck you bitches I bought cake and it's even better okay but I didn't have to put forth all the effort into making it myself oh my good that hard nobody requires um effort time in time yes time and effort and you got to wait for the cake to bake and stuff and then hotcakes not good so you got a little bit cool and then you got to put the frosting on it takes a lot of time God forbid and I want my cake right away see like every other American okay I do it don't hear how I get it I want instant pleasure now well that's what America's about apparently that's why everyone hates us those fuckers can get cake right away let's bomb and terrorize them hmm yeah oh my god it's Reese's pieces and crazies tonight mmm actually actually I might have some Mike and Ike's - Mike and I used to be like my favorite candy ever now I can hardly stand them for you yeah it is it's kind depressing to think that's like I've ever had those oh well you're all off yes Mike and Ike go chop off the bridge right now would buy it what do I expect it doesn't California they have like Hollywood Mike and Ike's and like Asian Mike and Ike's and Japanese Mike and Ike's you don't have American Mike and Ike's well that's that's just a crying shame right there he's like okay they're delicious I'll probably try him next time good yep you do that and I just want to throw this out before we start talking about other crap and that was that dark night was awesome I need to talk about it even more but neither of these douchebags have seen it so I can't spoil it I'm gonna go see it on Tuesday good I was very upset talking to you last night when you're I'll probably watch it on DVD yeah it's like how can you not see this right away apparently it's broke the record for opening weekend yep yeah 16 million and 166 million respectively and then broke the record for IMAX - apparently what the fuck do they have whales on IMAX spider-man 3 a lot of movies go out in IMAX now there's a big thing I'm gonna shoot my own IMAX film the life and times of Jellacoon you know IMAX that's very IMAX is kind of expensive man like you know four of us are psycho like the film for them is insane like that was a big thing about the dark night was that they actually shot scenes in IMAX which was a big deal because they actually put effort into the IMAX version yeah I'll probably go check it out here and IMAX just because it's like that better experience I made a point of not going to IMAX first also the IMAX near me doesn't have it right now so once it does I'll probably go see it if it does I should say and I'm probably gonna see it again just so I can go to a theater that's not packed to the brim I think the theater I went to was so packed they actually opened another theater for it like they canceled another showing of something else it's like fuck you drill bit Taylor it was probably like meet Dave yeah it's two or three people that really wanted to see me Dave don't get to now so are you to watch a better movie dark night sorry I watched the best movie of the year yeah to suffer through it I'm sorry the thing is with this movie it's not good enough to just call it the best superhero movie it was that well done well funny thing it's just like a genuinely good it's like number one on IMDB or something yeah I never was like I know it's good but seriously is it better than Casablanca well what happens is every other than the godfather well godfather part two I think is usually the one that's standing there and it happened with um return to the king return of the king the um return to the king the third um Lord of the Rings it happened with that too where it comes out and everyone's like oh my god it bumps up to number one it'll it'll flow back down to a more reasonable number as more reviews come in because like there's not a there's probably maybe one negative review ever of like godfather part two and it's too violent yeah go to hell there's like that episode of family guy where Peter's like I didn't care for the godfather and everyone just looked at him like it was a complete retard but yeah shut up the MPAA well piracy now they're losing money shit like that of course the phone we should have made $200 million the movie companies make more make the the large portion of the profit from any movie these days comes from DVD sales not ticket sales from the theater yeah that's why movies come out on DVD so much faster now oh no I understand where the profit is because because with a DVD they get all the money versus with a theater they have to pay all like the theaters get a huge cut so really yeah I write a lot about this shit a while ago why do you think I'm so you know anti-piracy these days all these days I used to be very much bad at that with that stuff and I cut it back a lot I only download four DVDs movies a day instead of six I used to download a lot of movies I don't I can't even think of the last time I downloaded a movie that's enough but that's because I just go theater it's the same movies now a lot that's just something I do for fun well congratulations you have money you bastard I'm crazy I enjoy the theater experience most of the time except when there's one of those pissing kids in front of you that's text messaging through the whole movie that's me oh my god I saw a hellboy - I mean these kids if it wasn't for the fact that they were two aisles in front of me I probably would have gone off so bad on them I was so beaten up man oh it drives me nuts it's what if you're paying ten dollars to go watch a movie watch a movie don't text message during it no it's worth it have a couple next to you making out no no no nothing happened once I nudged I nudged the guy I'm like dude seriously I paid 850 for this movie there's a hotel down the street this looked me like I was weird and moved away watching here the thing is that that if there's someone there you can't ignore them when it's someone with their cell phone they got that light and it's blaring and so you could you staring at that stupid light coming from it and you're in a dark theater especially in a dark movie like the dark night like if they're if I had a kid do that in that movie I'd have gone like Besserk but luckily it's this is one of those movies where everyone kind of shut the fuck up when it started and just watched the whole way through for the most part there were a couple of scenes where everyone goes like whoa and that kind of shit because it's so badass like like when you first see the bat pod whatever that that's that's a motorcycle oh okay can't really even call it a motorcycle made by Kawasaki is that who built it I don't know this assuming looks pretty sweet though it's not a Harley I'll say that much yeah it is so badass but anyway we got off track there yeah whatever it's our damn shoulder we want yeah yeah so if you want to start on the news okay okay this week in anime news brought to you by anime news they have this direct-to-drive service where um right now they've been offering like um I think it's slam dunk and Fist of the North Star subbed only episodes to download to watch you know Toby has also announced that on there they're gonna offer be up they're gonna also be offering pretty cure and Digimonics adventure 0 - now I want you know I just think about this a service on IGN the game site is going to be offering downloads a pretty cure and Digimon 0 - English subtitles Japanese voice tracks I just think this is the funniest fucking thing ever because I just want to I gotta see the numbers for these after a couple weeks see how many people actually go and pay two dollars to download an episode of subtitle Digimon adventure you know I think I might just piss you off just say there's one person that did it yeah you go pay two dollars down on an episode of Digimon because I'm sure you're way into the Digimon's right oh yeah I just love whatever those things are called I'll take Pokemon over Digimon any day if I had it if I had a gun put to my head yeah either way yeah that's pretty ridiculous but it's like a lot of these what's so stupid though a lot of these new streaming you know streaming or buy sites or hey you can download anime now for a low price of each episode they picked as stupid as fucking shit that nobody will watch I mean Sprint has like Princess Tutu and other stupid bullshit where you go why are you thinking well I think a lot of what it comes down to is what they can what they have the rights to but this is just kind of like odd to me why don't you pick something that someone's gonna watch why not why you're gonna put like you look at what fun to me Funimation puts plenty of good stuff on there no yeah but I mean like a lot of the times like you see these like Sprint and Tmo all these cell phone companies like you just said the IGN they picked the most retarded anime that no one's gonna freaking watch of these of us on DVD well just say hey this is a good idea let's put it on the inner webs and wonder why it fails and why everyone goes boy wonder why digital streaming and why the you know why the website isn't working obviously it's piracy no it's hard to put shitty ass anime nobody fucking wants to watch and and why the fuck we don't want to pay for it pick shit like plus it has DRM yeah exactly but we picked something good pick something like blood plus or Haru here lucky star something that you know like we got a story coming up death note in you are a death note Naruto and bleach are all are are coming to iTunes shortly those are stuff people are gonna buy probably yeah you know they have all of death note that's pretty cool and I'm stuck on episode 26 I'm a sad monkey I'm stuck on episode I guess I think I watched up to episode 4 so there you go I'm done oh good for you yeah that's one I'm waiting for the box that's to come out and then I'll buy it yeah same here ever has been watching on TV and then I forgot about it because I don't want to buy singles anymore so it's all box sets from now on oh you don't come out soon I guarantee by November December well I know the first box that's coming out sometime like September it's only like the first half of the show yeah that's retarded but either way that's to me it's a good show yeah definitely watch it if you're anyway back with that um download thing they want to cooler ones is that story that came out of sort of came out of e3 was or Sony unveiled their video store and then the new show from bones it's got zammed lost memories I think it's pronounced zammed I'm not sure it's gonna be is being offered on their video store the rentals for the episodes like this show is doesn't even start airing in Japan until I guess October I think and they're offering the episodes to download I think weekly a new I'm pretty sure they said that every week a new episode's going up and nice the only thing is that they're a little a little overpriced because it's like $2.99 for a rental of SD and then $3.99 for HD so they're right also I think they last 24 hours and they got to stop this BS with SD versus HD HD is very common now HD also takes no much more bandwidth and is much larger yeah still no honestly I was looking on um they're storing there's the amount of HD stuff is lacking right now on Sony store because I was just searching just started though yeah just launched some time yeah yeah I'll give them some time but it's like when when I can't download um there will be blood and HD it makes me kind of like a what what's that show now there will be blood the movie on with Daniel Day Lewis came out last oh it's a movie movie okay sorry yes shows how much I pay attention to movies um I mean like I don't know I just think if they're tired of that they pay the stupid shows to start with and they wonder why it fails but I think iTunes has done a really good job I mean you can get uh it's a neuro knock kiss goo 13 and all that on a weekly basis you know for $2.99 an episode and you know if you're willing to you know it's never gonna replicate the HD DVD experience but I guess it's a start yeah for people yeah it's a start for certain people I mean I honestly don't understand why you won't just go buy the DVD or rent it or something it just converted but teach their own I guess whatever whatever they want to do you know either way hopefully continues it feels like it seems like now some even a year ago the industry is adapted to the web and it was quickly adapting starting finally slowly it was really slow and it's and most of the slowness comes from the Japanese nothing like not the American companies because they're all they're big fruits about the internets yes what was that his cell phone yeah see he was like oh shit I don't like Final Fantasy that much yeah no I don't know um what's gonna say oh crunchy roll sorry I'm gonna hit that enemy and Final Fantasy you bastard oh my go on how I wonder how much crunchy roll has to say it has to play in this after they got their 2.5 million dollars in capital capital think it really has anything to do with that in that sense though I mean what it really comes down to is just companies need to adapt and it's they're finally starting to and you know basically business markets change companies need to change with those markets and the enemy markets changed a lot recently DVD sales dropping all that kind of shit but that's something that's happened everywhere DVD sales have kind of really kind of sucks besides that because it's not something I'm talking about worldwide not in America maybe is an enemy I mean I don't know and I look at other sales and plateaued in Japan I think stuff I think stuffs citricle you know yeah they're up to other downs they have their ups the other downs yeah well when it's been up up up up up up up and then it just goes flat that's when the companies freak out well there's been a lot of niche titles and you know it's not like as a winner every time so well this is really more about Japan is what I'm talking about yeah well maybe they're getting sick of animation give us more live action plenty of live action out there but all right that's called the news what's okay dang us anyway oh this was something interesting last week there's this news floating around of a couple more titles from 80 V getting canned well okay we didn't remember we didn't release that show yeah I know that's why I'm explaining it to people okay well click update and you can get all the list what click the update link on the story you know get a list of all the DVDs that they originally said no well it was three DVDs it was robo tech on best student council and five centimeters per second oh and I'm innocent Venus 4 and basically that's what came out last week and then this week it's a few days later it came out that best student council is not going out of print that's gonna stay in print with singles and as well as the robo tech protocol your collection box at that staying in print to about five centimeters per second and innocent Venus are both out of print right now which is a shame because I actually want five centimeters per second here's hoping like um Funimation gets a hold of it and releases it on blu ray because that would be really nice I would say just go run the best buying pick a copy of them if you want but I'd like a blu ray disc if I can get it on blu ray well excuse me oh it's not something I'm dying for either I hear yeah I haven't heard very good things about five centimeters and this I was good but you know five centimeters the DVD only released like a few months ago - yeah relatively new and it isn't Venus started about a year and a half ago you know well they were both on sojitz titles - yeah like all the stuff that Funimation got a hold of basically everything before I can't remember what basically everything from the past year was on the line did you ever did anyone ever watch the best student council series no I didn't it was like I've never heard of it yeah exactly really you're fit until people started talking about it going out yeah it had a good you know I could run when I was right I watched a few episodes and it's one of those shows that no one's gonna miss hey really we're talking about it you know how Karen you know her sister had that little puppet on her hand all the time yeah there was one like that and since and best student console he had a weird ass voice and probably wants to ghost of a serial murderer now no unfortunately it wasn't okay well getting as I mentioned earlier bleach death note Naruto have all been added to the iTunes store basically it's gonna be all 37 all 37 episodes of Death Note the first 25 episodes uncut of Naruto and the first 41 episodes of bleach all English dubbed and there's no price listed I was soon three ninety nine or something around that it's it's way for what all of them for well yeah already on iTunes is it it's 199 an episode that's not bad I'm not anyone bucks over that at least for yeah for Naruto - well I wonder do they offer the past so like paid so much a flat fee and then you get all of them or you know oh oh there you go okay cool yeah I know for shows like airing like now let's just say for example South Park you can spend 1599 or 2599 and you'll get every yeah you get all the episodes right after they air something yep yep so they're doing the same thing with that but it's a good volume somebody that's cool yeah all right oh here's something that's fairly interesting and that's that apparently which is from what I've heard is really sudden is that school rumbles ending the mom done done done I think it shoot the issue yeah 33rd issue which on sale winds on sale this past Wednesday it's I think it's already come out I'm not a hundred percent sure correct um basically you know school rumble just up and ended from what I've heard very very suddenly and people are not too thrilled about it but from what I've heard is there's some something called school rumble see that's going to be starting up sometime soon he's how many things gonna have oh that would make two so when all would be four no it would be two because it's got seconds right now one sees there's only been one series in the manga oh god judge sorry and yeah something called school rumble see I'm not and I don't think they've released any details on what exactly that is I'm guessing it's gonna be maybe it's just something they were gonna start but then makes her games like yeah who knows yeah could be right but if it's just a continuation it makes them you makes you wonder why they um you know stopped it in the first place mm-hmm could be going I think it was weekly could be going on to monthly or something like that knows well they'd been around for five years it's 2002 so yeah it's kind of long-ass running for that kind of serious six yeah six years it's quite a bit yeah 22 something like that 23 volumes I think it's gonna be in total something like that which is long for that for something like that and then and then they've got that third term DVDs that are coming out and probably a whole third season sometime soon so it's still popular it makes me wonder what the heck's going on with it they greenlit the see it the three already really yeah the third term they greenlit the ova oh yeah it was released like a week ago or yesterday or something well that's for America we're saying for Japan no no one came out like a week the first of the third term ova's came out like last like this past week in the second one comes out in September oh got you they're split up into yeah and then I don't know there's probably a third TV series in development - I'd imagine it's still real popular makes me wonder just what the heck's going on so it'll be interesting to find out to say the least because it's like and I like the series and I and I don't want it to end on some bullshit personally great I've only watched it I was about to start reading it actually I picked up the first couple volumes in the manga so there you go all right and another story that I find very cool is more another Subasa reservoir chronicles ova is coming that's going it's going to be bundled with shoot it's gonna be bundled with I'm not sure with one I believe it's gonna be bundled with another volume of the manga like the triple x there's a triple x holo that's about to come out and the Subasa one's basically gonna be the second half of it because if you know the series you know that they are very much tied together okay it'll come it's gonna come with the 26th volume of the series in Japan and it's gonna be about 25 minutes long and they're being done by production i.j. and it's being directed by the same guy who directed Tokyo revelations so basically more Subasa animation it makes me wonder if they're I don't know if they're gonna even bother doing another TV series of it or not because I think they've made it really far or really close to where the manga is to the point where it's gonna be it would be really hard for them to do another TV series so it seems like they might actually be sticking with something like this with like ova's which will be pretty darn cool if you ask me I still haven't watched Tokyo revelations actually but I plan on to doing so sometimes soon hmm yes the boss of personally for me didn't really tickle my fancy so can't really say I'm partial or whatever you have your fancy adjusted yeah yeah oh I love that fancy I love that phrase well we're ending our new segment of the little sad news ADV voice actor Mike Klein has passed us away he passed away on July 11th due to a heart attack I guess he says best known for his roles in Full Metal Panic as commander keloland we also had a few roles in Excel saga Princess Tutu and a bunch of other stuff I'll throw a small clip that I pulled from one of my full metal panic DVDs of him in it in a really unique voice and and you know it kind of sounds like solid snake kind of yeah it's never cool here so dying but hey come and go I've goes on exactly so the news of the week and it's time for our DVD picks yeah it's harder to do now cuz anime on DVD still kind of retarded looking they actually fixed it somewhat I will give you luckily I pulled a long list of stuff that I pulled for my own use of what's coming out so I know what's coming out yeah okay cuz I can get you something if you need it no I'm good and you know what so you know I'm not gonna get off topic too much but that anime and DVD really feels like they poured it over mania.com not even fucking ready yeah from what I've heard it actually they've been adding more and more tabs like now you can finally look up the series I've been reviewed but it's a series but they've fucking messed up their URLs and from what I yeah from what I heard it wasn't very close to ready when they did it I don't know what possessed them to do it so early or at all because it just kills me that the site was drastically changed so damn much have you seen it yet I see I don't normally go there I'm looking at it right now I know I bitched about it fucking terrible I bitched about it to like everyone I know it just looks like everything else are still the same though which is nice thankfully yes they're still very useful for licensing for me oh before we move on to the DVD something else apparently tomorrow I believe on Funimation is gonna be announcing a new license they've like this I don't know they like this weekly show on their website or something and they're gonna announce a new license on it something like that supposedly from what I've heard I mean I can't say for sure but okay Funimation keep a licensing stuff we just news let's see anyway yeah they'll say anything here but cool anyway moving on um DVD picks this guy is like one of the weakest weeks if you ask me yeah but the next week is chocked full yeah there's stuff next week but there's like nothing this week yeah well there's one good show in my opinion case closed season one yeah case closes a kick-ass show I loved case closed me and my ex used to watch it like religiously it was one of those shows that you'd start watching it and you'd know what's going on but there was so much stuff like it felt like a real like mystery show because each episode had interweaving storylines and it was just so interesting by the end of the show how everything kind of fit together yeah it was a fun I have the first season on DVD I think I think I have all of it that was one of those weird cases from back in the day and I ended up I ended up with I think the whole first season and yeah it's a look I certainly enjoy it I know he's to play on adults swim all the time but I haven't seen it in years no they they don't air it anymore and didn't last too long so it's it's a show that it's too violent and shit to air earlier but the characters are kind of in this zone where it's kind of hard to get the adult crowd into it oh yeah because you got a shoulder character I mean you know he's a teenager but you know a young adult but yeah you know you're the shoulder looking kid it's just a little guy yes hips Greek investigate and stuff they have like a hundred and eighty episodes it's pretty long it's like 500 I think goddamn it's it's ongoing man they use the show all the time on the Funimation syndication broadcast thingy I don't know if they're still releasing it or if they've kind of given up on new episodes of the show or not I think they're just like who the house gonna buy 500 episodes yeah Dragon ball Z long enough well they can add yeah well they can our market at the kids so it's all good I guess so so you play the new Dragon Ball Z game are you going commie commie ha or whatever I played the demo of it and it was pretty fun actually oh anyway it's like nothing this week I want I'm new there like I'll pro I'm gonna pick up 20 witches volume three but that's probably it now what the health 20 which is about about all your witches I think I'm not sure how old they are but yeah they're like young girls that are witches in this magic world okay okay what are you what are you Jason um if 80 V was actually releasing NHK then I would have picked that but I guess my fear five made it to some stores yeah best buy a couple copies but I I try looking for it couldn't find it volume five NHK and volume five of pump considers 80 V did ship out a few copies of them so they were all manufactured so they probably got boxes of them in a warehouse now that they can't sell I'm sure they're crying over it my girlfriend was pissed because that's like the one show I've got her into for anime besides death note and you know the show has already been pushed back once before so she's like motherfucker does this happen to every show I don't want to start watching something and then have it be pushed back and I can't watch it again I'm sure well from what I heard Funimation said that they're gonna start releasing stuff from 80 V in October October October oh is it October now October it's October I'm thinking Jenny on I'm sorry Jenny on stuff starts in August yeah the 80 V stuff is gonna start in October and odds are it's gonna be the friggin 80 V discs in a new box that just has the Funimation logo on it just gonna put a sticker over it a Funimation sticker over they I'm sure I'm sure they're working out some kind of deal with 80 V at the panel I think they said they're releasing all the box were box art and all that stuff as the same as the old yeah they're gonna try yeah they said they were gonna try and keep it all consistent and that's what they've been doing that's what they said they were gonna do with all the guinea and stuff - which is even hard to do since since like a large majority of what is being released from the Jenny and stuff so far or that's been announced so far it's just like crap that's been sitting in their warehouse that they've been alright what did you finish this anyway I got a couple questions for you about the about the con - so go ahead okay well I heard it was really badly planned and just the staff seemed really stupid about everything like they weren't respecting press badges they were just letting people cut they weren't I heard it was really terrible this year compared to past years for being there how could you relate or agree or you know I had to actually a pretty good time as far as press goes I'm not sure what you heard like I had a press badge - oh how'd you get one no I did have a press badge it wasn't mine though what did your dad do if I may he's a producer for some Korean broadcast station here in LA yeah that's badass dude okay anyway pretty good time they were like it was much better than last year yeah for what I heard last year was really bad why yeah what I heard I mean basically not the same when I heard the anime world order podcast what I listened to and they had like same day like a podcast and they were just complaining up and down saying that this year was pretty boring in terms of last year they said that last year was so packed there was never a minute to kind of rest when they said this year was really you know it was like okay there's a convention or there's a keynote okay but then there's two hours of nothing I think I just wander around and figure out what you want to do compared to they said last year it was like constantly there's tons of musical guests tons of everything else and they were I know they just kept saying how bad the staff really was how they didn't like seem to understand like the difference between press badges and the normal people and how they were just really rude to everyone in general you know I don't know because they're jiggle see any of the concert or anything I went to Shokotan's concert and what's the deal for that what you know everyone made a big fuss over her hey I just freaking awesome I don't know how to explain it better than that but anyway like the press we're kind of I don't know only pre-selected press or a lot to take photos and stuff and there was some confusion on whether like the press like regular press could take photos or not and some guy told me and some other people that we were a lot to take photos and a halfway through the show some guy comes and tells us oh we can't so there was some confusion on that I heard the same thing but would you go so would you go again next I've got is this your first one you've been to or last year I barely watched anime my friend called me on the day of one of the con days and told me to come and then she ditched me about two hours later into the con and I was just I know what was going on so yeah this year could be considered my first got you on it yeah how was the cosplaying a lot of people good yeah I don't know I don't know I can't compare it to like other years or other cons or anything like that yeah they always say that Americans half-assed cosplay for the most part yeah some people did a really good job but others mm-hmm I'd say 20% are 20% of cosplayers a good yeah I'd say that's a comfortable number right there so 20% that take it seriously and then the rest of it either do it like they get it ready two days early or they do a joke yeah that's kind of where it is especially here it's not like in Japan or those places where I hear like serious stuff no it's like people's lives or that kind of shit well they have no I don't care about too busy committing suicide in Japan so we need something but they are kind of all right what's true sure you've had tons of people commit suicide this even going to dignify that with a response cuz that's just disrespectful to optimist prime okay well anyway E3 was held this last week in California and yeah figure just give our impressions of E3's I think the overwhelming impression is meh yeah pretty much that big of a deal this year I could have gone probably could have gone way of an E3 in our face now I went two years ago when the we was first introduced in the motion controls and all that bad eyes tried it out yeah uh walked around to school with a big grin on your face for the rest of the year pretty much I don't know this year felt like it was really lacking in hype or anything it's like oh E3's happening already okay that's good like nothing was like oh I can't wait for E3 we're past here that's been like something everyone looks forward to well E3 died kind of last year when they down yeah when they went business conference this year was from what I think this year was better than last year though in terms of like the conference as a whole in terms of the press conferences from the companies they kind of sucked balls this year but I had the press options last year really well I don't remember I remember Microsoft's last year being kick-ass because last year there was a lot of stuff I wanted for the 360 this year there's a lot of stuff I don't want yeah definitely what the fuck that dashboard looks like ass honestly I hate that if you want to fuck if you want to fucking avatar go to the weed don't I thought this was supposed to be the big boy console the console I don't know but they market themselves as you know we got the shooters we've got the upgraded games this isn't something a kid you know if you want to go play a kids game go play the week no let's make frickin avatars that are ridiculous and it was Microsoft's stupid idea to start that's what Microsoft's whole conference felt like them chasing Nintendo well you know the sad part is - now they've been coming out with medals sound familiar trophies medals who gives a fuck I don't give a fuck we wait medals we even heard about this yet one out of the Microsoft press guys at e3 accidentally that I slip in the fall update it's on Xbox scene right now they're coming out of something called metals you get metals visual representations of big achievements and games that you can show off to your friends it's coming out with the fall update yeah I'm sick of all the social networking bullshit yeah I have seven people on my list I am more than that but I don't play with any of them oh exactly I play with three people and the others I just haven't deleted that like five yeah that's I don't even have gold right now for that matter so expired like four or five months ago and I'm no intention and get it back until probably Gears of War 2 comes out I don't really want that badly but I like co-op and it has good co-op so that's why I'm getting it and then Nintendo's was the thing that spelled everything out for Nintendo's for me was when Reggie was on G4 after the press conference and he said that their game for the hardcore was animal crossing for the way hell yeah that that's it that was that just was that summed the whole fucking thing up for me and if you're an old school Nintendo fan you're just thinking you're thinking the same thing I am and like almost like you've been betrayed in a sense I've kind of let it go because I'm not that hardcore anymore as a gamer compared to what I used to be yeah I remember growing up where it was like either like Nintendo or you like Sega I had all the Nintendo stuff and my buddy had all the Sega stuff yeah I had Sega why I'd both but I had the second channel and I eventually got a Genesis but it was way later on comic zone yeah yeah Sonic 2 man that's you in that series streets are age but no I like I'm sick and tired of these console manufacturers we need to get a niche we need to market to the niche oh wait families okay this year families next year the hardcore taco the week after we're gonna go after grannies we need a we need a hook what happened to just releasing good fucking games oh there's plenty of good fucking games I don't know their businesses though they don't especially Nintendo they don't have anything else to fall back on yeah that's what I've been saying but everyone it was moving on to probably the but I think this sums that up that business point of well is the whole point of probably the biggest announcement there honestly was Final Fantasy 13 for the 360 yeah and what's that up I was talking to a friend of mine and he was like oh it's a betrayal from Square blah blah blah and I was just like okay it's a company that needs to make money and that's why I understand I don't give a shit I'm still gonna buy it for the ps3 that's really just because I prefer the console now well I look at like this though okay remember last generation Xbox was 199 if I'm not what was it 239 something like that I don't even know what it had a lot of price points the original Xbox and PlayStation 2 they always had the same well I'm not released but I mean like through its cycle it got cheaper there wasn't exactly a huge price point and in the end a lot of people owned both own both consoles for the games but I think now people are getting sick of having to play I want to play Final Fantasy on the ps3 but I would like years of war on the Xbox 360 I think people are finally getting sick and tired of that just saying look I'm not the full game it don't it's not customers that are doing that it's companies when a game hits that when games are finally in development costs have hit a point where it's not economical to make an exclusive game anymore well it's not it's economical but it not as economic it's like you look at Capcom they've shifted their strategy strategy to completely multi console basically everything big is on both systems now from them definitely cry for for example and then well and what what it all comes down to at a point is the 360 still has more exclusives outside of the first party but a lot of that is from companies that are also developing on PC it's like these PC slash 360 guys yeah like it no no it's valve valve refuses to develop for the ps3 they don't like it they just flat out refuse to develop for it and but that's just there I'm anxious for the portal waxbox live arcade game yeah that's pretty darn cool but like that's not gonna come on the ps3 because valves not willing to do it yeah well the the orange box for the ps3 wasn't done by valve it was ported by someone else so but this was Sony I gotta say is the the best shit that came out for the um the best-looking games in the fall for me Meg well I'm talking about for this fall oh okay because that was what the show was mainly focused on if you look at it was always it was no it used to be more about um the future it was like in in two years you're gonna play this that kind of thing and now it's my Microsoft really is the one who started that and seems like but now it's really more here's what's coming this fall than you can buy and what I and this wasn't even stuff that was highlighted by the studios it's like the stuff I want is um mirrors edge and Prince of Persia those are probably the two biggest games for me this fall that I want to play and the biggest thing that makes some different is the fact that they have more colors in brown and gray and red gas apparently there's a rainbow or something well I'm really looking forward to a spore and that's probably about it I'm about ready to give up on these music games I want to play resistance to rock band two yeah that's a must buy and here's a war two known as all the sequels the one game that I'll tell you I didn't even think about this until a couple days later when some other people mention it the one game that it's kind of sad that I'm still wondering where the heck it is and why they haven't talked about it is um Alan Wake yeah oh my god I want to play that game I don't even know rumor it'll come out at a Tokyo game show yeah I saw that but it's like why the hell are they going to show Alan Wake a Tokyo game show that is not a game that's going to be selling in Japan the way I see it at least I could be wrong but it's like if it's anything like Max Payne it's from the same team if it's anything like Max Payne I don't see it being a big seller in Japan but it's just like I remember when they first announced it I was like awesome as long as they take away the bullshit metaphors from Max Payne 2 it sounds great because Max Payne 2 was fun except the story sucked balls yeah in this in the first one the story was really good in my opinion yeah the first one I loved the second one just the story just was retarded and I didn't like it at all they had a movie of that coming out too this year oh it's still going on yeah with Mark Wahlberg who's an awesome actor by the way I don't know I'm I'm starting to get out of game I like gaming but I'm finding myself doing so much other things I'm not finding time anymore it's that's better it was last year I was at a I was buying a new game almost every week like a year ago I was buying a new game almost every single week maybe every other week and at this point the last new game I bought let me I'm trying to think about it now was Metal Gear Solid 4 and before that it was freaking Arcana Heart for the PS2 and that was just because that's an obscure fighting game for the PS2 by Atlas I'm gonna grab a copy of that before it disappears forever and then before that it was I don't even know because it's been so long I only bought a couple games this year the last three or four games I bought was Grand Theft Auto 4 Call of Duty 4 Fire Pro Wrestling D for the PS2 and Persona 3 hell yeah Fire Pro I bought Fire Pro and Persona 3 back last December all right I did buy Persona 3 FES is there a difference no it's got the FES has a bonus disc that takes place it has the extra stuff that takes place after the main game I think I'm like half through I'm not sure I've never been any I haven't sucked through the mod but it's like I just don't feel like I can put all my time into a game or I can put all my time into you know anime or just yeah or models or you know going out or something I just don't have the time for gaming as much as I used to and I still care as much anymore I've kind of I suffered like this burnout where everything is the same I'm tired of all the sameness well look at it look at Grant oh I got this I don't mind smoking look at E3 how many of those were sequels a lot yes there's nothing I think Spore is going to be one of the most original games this year unfortunately I'm not saying it's got the same concept of the Sam's or civilization or the twist but like what else is the shooters or the racing the sport there's mirrors edge and Prince of Persia Prince of Persia is another sequel but it's incredibly beautiful looking and I really want to play it mirror's edge is probably the most um creative thing if I just want a good I want a good RPG I actually found I don't I think I'm a buying it it doesn't my brother's pawn shop eternal sonata was that any could do any of you either of you recommend it wasn't bad it was okay yeah it wasn't amazing though it seemed like your typical Japanese I'd say if you want an RPG that's out right now recent one I'd suggest um lost Odyssey actually hmm I really my friend played lost I'll see you yeah he liked it that's the 360 correct yes it's 4 DVDs - oh damn it's really it's it was pretty good I really look I enjoyed it it's not incredible I'm not gonna call it but it's good hmm well I don't know we'll say it there's a couple RPGs coming out this fall too from on the 360 it's like well I'm finally getting some it's like PlayStation 2 used to be the RPG mecca yeah no there's all the art in that what the 360 is getting um what are they called the last remnant and what's the other one what's the other one on the 360 coming out this fall infinite on discovery oh yeah yeah I hate that title so much it's so stupid neither of them actually jumps out to me it's something I want to play to be honest both of them seem kind of blah so yeah we had or two we we didn't talk about the Sony press conference too much yet the one thing I got to say from the Sony press conference how well the ps2 was still selling that's just crazy it's cheap it's cheap and has a new jazz library again that's true that's true and the graphics aren't that bad no that's yeah they say they sold another hundred one point five million and this are you already something like that there's some high ass not they sell a lot of them they sell so many that's why they're making them and they keep coming up with these new bundles they got that bundle coming out this fall hundred fifty dollars and you get lego batman in the um justice league a new the new frontier um dvd you get those two in the box with the ps3 or ps2 for a hundred fifty dollars and that's gonna sell out think so yes because that's actually a really good value if you think about it because that game's gonna come out forty dollars by itself dvd's twenty dollars you take that all out you're getting the ps3 for ninety dollars something that there's a small piece i know i'm thinking about buying the small piece i got a fat ps2 but then what's i have a slim ps2 but i bought that because my fat one broke okay or died after i missed my modded ps2 my ps oh i had that ps2 for so long i was so i was so depressed when it died it's like oh i hate it why do you miss it i've got through now i don't miss it but it depresses me well you just suck with consoles clearly we burn in hell everything breaks a hundred times why don't you know i don't take care of anything why do i still have my original xbox well apparently you've had eight three sixties and nine ps2s yeah i don't say it yeah uh that's what i'm saying apparently modded like the one modded thing i am in my dream cast i thought i'd fixed it but it'll go like an hour now and then it just quits the games on my dream cast still works i bought my dream cast i originally bought one oh i mean i still remember the day i bought it that it was when they it was when they were gonna say oh we're not gonna sell them anymore it was a hundred and one degrees out i rode my bike two miles to a bus stop to catch a bus to the mall to buy one to get to buy a dream cast in WWF Royal Rumble i'm sucked that game is the worst wrestling ever but um and shed move and um i still and then i ended up getting rid of it i don't remember what happened to it but um i bought one a couple of old four years ago at uh EB games yeah i bought mine i bought mine used right after the game i got my game cube i got a game cube for christmas and then like a week later i bought a used dream cast and i thought not but then i go ahead the thing about the dream cast is that's just one that dot that has a bad ten the optical drives have a bad tendency to kind of conch out that's especially fine especially if you use burnt games a lot because one of the coolest things about the dream cast is you could just download ISO's burn them on a CD's and pop them in there and boom they'd work yeah i've got a spindle of 90 discs yeah i have tons of them and those certainly don't help the drives and the dream cast was just famous for this and i'm i'm not surprised it's happened but i'm gonna have to pick up one or two extra ones just in case but hey what i love though is you can go to fucking EB games controller 299 memory card $1.99 like two years ago i went to EB and bought a brand new sealed VMU for 50 cents and he was like oh that was so cool sealed seriously they had like a big ol bag full of them i wish i bought more of them yeah it's crazy that's the one thing i gotta love they like found them in the back corner of their stockroom or something nice i'd love to the dream cast had the money for this stuff when it came out well you were what nine when the dream cast came out so yeah i remember playing it in the hollywood video playing on the kiosk good times yeah i remember when i remember i remember when the ps2 first came out and i had a friend that was hunting it every day i'm day going to like kmart and shit trying to find one because that was when they were rare as shit because they we got one for Christmas we jokingly put it down in our list because and this is a one thing i want but i grew up really poor so my mom finally had money and she actually bought us gifts and for shoots and giggles we put down ps2 and we got one that's cool mom got a scary movie with it she has any fucking game it's a pool she has some shitty pool game really what the fuck is this all right i remember i was just trying to hunt it down just to play the only good game that was on it at launch all the games at launch sucked ass the only thing that was on it was like SSX that was any good and i remember a friend of mine bought it bought the damn game like two weeks before he ever even sounded am ps2 it's my buddy did with the xbox 360 he had like seven games because he worked at best buy yeah he had like seven games he purchased and like dude you even have the fucking thing yet oh good it yeah i was like yeah i remember they didn't let employees get them early because they were having a hard time getting them or something right they were being real jerks with employees with them i think i waited in friggin line for six hours to get a 360 i waited for eight hours and below freezing weather it was a second shoot in like three days before christmas i mean i got it launched and well no so here's a funny thing was was there was 45 consoles well there was like 52 people in line and we all kept telling the people on the end of line dude you're not getting one yeah they still stay yeah yeah exactly and actually someone brought a ice house and they decked it out with a ps2 and here and there were letting people come and play it was pretty cool but um by the before the store ended or before it's store closed there's enough people and we're like dude can we fucking get our tickets and go home it's cold out you know and he's like whoa what's a good store policy you're not at like three o'clock in the morning he comes running at us dupes into the store comes out with a big wide ticket and said get a fucking ticket if you're not here at eight o'clock in the morning you do not get a 360 it was crazy i will never never do that again for a console launch it wasn't worth it but i remember i went launch i went at i think it was two o'clock it was like one or two i skipped school went got in line with a few other people they wouldn't even recognize us as a line yet it was just a bunch of people hanging out in the electronic section waiting for them and then at a at a point he finally said all right there's a line and we all got in line we sat there for like in two hours it was i think it got to about five or six and we were all hanging out at the back we were kind of blocking the furniture section so he finally he wasn't he was being a real dick and wouldn't hand out the tickets and he finally it got so crowded in the back the manager decided to hand them out and handed them all out grabbed them and then we had to be back by 1230 that night to get them and i got there and i ended up i think i i ended up first and ran out screaming yeah bitch come here fucking dig it i'm sorry and then i did this and then i went to i'll tell you this is how huge i was with gaming and buying shit back in a year or two ago before the week came out i was such a regular game stop this guy knew me like that you know it was like i think i i'd have them actually pay for reserves for me and that kind of shit it was so cool yeah i used to do that too and it was like i remember i remember playing fight night round three for the first time run going to eb the same day the demo came out i threw down the money fifty sixty dollars right or was on the counter i said i want this fucking game the graphics are so amazing they were so much fun i used to reserve a lot that that's why they like you because reserves are good for them yeah i do the same if you reserve if you reserve everything they will love you but um besides that the manager actually like the managers for the we all had like their own reserves set aside and he gave me his he like held it aside for me because i've been pestering him i'd just been calling friggin almost daily asking him can i reserve it yet can i reserve it yet he set me aside it so i could go after work it was like the last i was i kept telling my friend you better get over there right away in reserve one i'm telling you you better get over there and reserve one and then i get over there like four get my reserve from the manager and i'm like i don't know it doesn't sound like they have an eleven blah blah blah blah he goes over there like no they've been sold out since like eleven i got i got there like four like the manager set one aside for me i know what i mean trying to find grand theft battle earlier this year went to eb games over sold out target were sold out went to fucking walmart they have like a buttload of them that's how i was like halo too i remember that i walked in and just bought it just walked in walked out got the limited edition didn't even have to think about but yeah but that was with the way and then i went over and then i got the reserve get over there at midnight and then you know first in line for that one too we're screaming out way all that as i ran out go home come home hang out with my friends play it for a few hours then i bring my friend over a circuit city down the road and he just stands in line for like a half an hour before they open and gets one and um he yeah he just goes over there just opens it you know right before they open gets one and they still had like 20 of them left it wasn't even like um they were running out it was it's so wild how people didn't really give a shit about the way right before it came out and then you know two weeks later it's impossible to find and they're going for crazy amounts of money online yeah i got lucky my my uh my roommate's wife or i guess my roommate too i guess at the time she was she worked at the electronics department target so she just stuck one in a locked case and just said oh yeah go pick it up whenever just tell him i said so sure enough i'm like oh i got a week hold for me he's like seriously like yeah it's in the case right there unlock it and you'll see it sure enough picked up like four games and i thought that was so badass though like i paid less money for the we and four games and another controller and the num chuck then the fucking complete 360 package i bought and it was just a 360 in one game yeah i thought it was so nice i think we got to cut this
