Hey, I'm still checking out Japanese TV. Isn't this that cartoon that causes seizures? I need to survive. I need to survive. ♪♪♪ It's the bonsai beat with Pat and Jell-O Koon. Your weekly dose of the latest news, current and classic show reviews, DVD picks, and so much more. ♪♪♪ Welcome to the bonsai beat. I'm Jell-O Koon, and I'm always here with some lovely Pat's. Hell yeah. Damn right. We've made it to episode 10 people. How's that for us? Wow. Yeah, it's been like 12 weeks, technically, since our first release. But hey, we're here. This week we have a lot of New York Comic Con news. We're also going to be looking at the non- Comic Con news. We're also going to be looking at a manga review, our first ever, for the show of Sun Dome, which we kind of touched on last week, very briefly. We will also be doing our DVD picks. Finally, we will be looking at Soul Eater episode 2. So we got to turn the news. Let's just get into it. All right. Take it. Yeah, for sure. Well, remember probably, yeah, about six weeks ago, or about more than eight weeks ago. We told you about a guy who got arrested for file sharing in regards to anime. Well, that guy has been sentenced. He has been sentenced to a year in prison. And basically, he was basically charged with uploading 5,700 episodes for about 230 titles, including Kimmy Kiss, which I, you know, talk shit about all the time. Basically, the judge said it was very terrible and his sentence cannot be reversed. What I don't get, if that happened in America, it would no fucking one. You'd be like pounding the ass prison, like, ten years, because shit. It's copyright infringement. Frickin' copyright owners over in the US, like, own the frickin' law. So I think the guy got off pretty damn good, in one frickin' year. I don't know. It doesn't seem to make much sense to send someone to jail for that, for the most part. But, yeah. No, I agree. I mean, he didn't make any fucking money off. It's not like he was running a DVD, you know, copying ring outside of his door, you know. But what do you expect? Japan seems to really be cracking down, in particular, on anime. Because anime is a big thing, and they make a lot of money. Indeed, so maybe they're just trying to, you know, set a precedent, like, hey, we're not going to tolerate this BS. Fortunately, that guy sucks for him, basically, is the thing. I mean, he's 39, I mean, I'm really surprised, like, at the age. I'm not saying, like, anime is just for teenagers, or kids, or whatever, but, you know, I'm just kind of a little surprising. Anyway, anyway, I guess moving on. Um, once we brought news about Viz putting the first live action, Death Note movie into theaters with fathom events. And now we're bringing news that they're going to be putting the first bleach movie into theaters. Memories of nobody, it's gone. It's going to be in theaters two nights, June 11th and 12th. One show and I at 7.30. And it's basically tickets. They're doing it the same way as they're doing... Death Note, you get to buy them in advance if you just arrive to stone and jump. And then on May 9th, they're open to everybody. I mean, it seems like this is something that they're pushing quite a bit now. They did what they did in Naruto last year, and now they're doing Death Note. Now they're doing... I want to know how good. Yeah, I want to know how good that Naruto was showing. It must have done half decent, because it's, um, I mean, to do more stuff, it must have done at least. Because it's only twice. They only show it to air, to showings, and it's the special event thing. So it's something they do pretty quick. It's probably true. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah, probably. Yeah, no. I imagine it makes all half decent money. Oh, yeah, I bet. Now you're called cosplaying. Indeed. Oh, right, and moving on to what's essentially the last story. I'm not going to dig it. Before, um, Comic Con, they kind of, they were mentioned, like, essentially right before Comic Con, they know. And that is, that YIN press and Little Brown are going to be bringing the Haruhi Manga and Light Novels to the US. Um, YIN press is the, is, um, Hatchet Book Group's Manga Division, which releases Sun Dome, and which we're going to talk about later. And some other series, including Spyro, one of my favorites. And, so we're going to get lucky and, like, get mismatched Manga. It's not going to follow the sequence order. Finally, don't laugh, you bastard. Yeah, I figured you were going for something, but no. But, alright, well, for the, for the Manga, they're going to start releasing it, um, in October and release a volume every four months. Yeah, that's going to be YIN press. Little Brown, which is the, which is another division of Hatchet that releases, like, um, basically teen books for teens and stuff, um, is going to be releasing the Light Novels. It was like a showing license. They got together. And the Light Novels, the only sad thing about the Light Novels is that it won't be coming out until April of '09, the first book. Oh, wow. They've already announced it. So now, it's going to become out in two versions of paperback and a hardcover. Ooh. Yeah. Which is cool. And it must not be. So, I'm okay. I, I don't want us like a total dumbass, but for me and anyone else who doesn't really read Manga, what's the difference, what's the Light Novel compared to an actual Manga? Oh, Light Novel is a book. Okay, yeah, I assumed about the novel term. Well, yeah, it's, it's words. There's some illustrations, but it's basically words. Yeah. Gotcha. Um, it's the way of, they're written to, they're written in a kind of, um, easy to read way. Gotcha. So now, no, no, no, the Manga's are going on every four months. Is that pretty typical for a Manga release or is that kind of long? No, it's actually. That, that, it, it depends, but that's actually pretty good. Um, a lot of yin stuff I've noticed tends to come out every three months. Yeah. Gotcha. I'm not really sure exactly how frequent, like, Tokyo Pop or Visar, because I'm not really buying any of their stuff up to date at the moment. But I think three months is pretty good and four is not bad. Gotcha. That's it. Because, well, one thing is Haruhi's, the Manga's ongoing in. They've only announced a license for the first four volumes. It's something else to mention. It's, the fifth came out in Japan last October, but Yann only has the right, the license for the first four at the moment. Hmm. Well, I'm not sure. I just, I'm just wondering if it's even worth reading. I mean, if you've seen the anime, how much more are we going to get out of the Manga? Yeah. That wasn't included. I mean, I'll give you that for the Manga probably, but the Light Novels are a different thing. That's the original form. Hmm. That's what it started as is the novel. So, I'm definitely, personally, I'm definitely going to pick them up. Interesting. In a year. Yeah, in a period. It'll probably end up being like a six months. Oh, wow. Yeah. Spacing. Well, no, yeah, exactly. Now it's time for the New York Comic Con was held this past weekend. And there was a lot of announcements from all the distributors. So, uh, there was a lot of significance. Yeah. The big, yeah. The big three all had something to say and didn't disappoint. All they, I got to say, it seemed a lot lack. It seemed very lackluster compared to past years. Yeah, they tend to be home for 80 feet. Didn't have anything with here, actually. Oh, okay. My comic fall. And Funimation didn't have any real new announcements. They just basically restated their upcoming summer releases. Because that's basically what I had to say. So, the next big kind. The big one. The guys that really had stuff to say were Bandai Entertainment. Oh, well, they're so predictable. No, no, but they had something pretty surprising this year. And that was... Go ahead. Alright, let's start with the obvious. The first thing was that they've announced an official license for Gundam 00. Because no one saw that coming. And they... How could you not find that surprising? That's not surprising at all. I mean, I don't know. You're like, seven more to shocked. No, not really. No one was shocked. It's another robot show from Bandai. Oh, my God. Now, if it was ADV or like, well, frickin' like, or like better yet, like, Nut Tech. Well, no one was really surprised by Gundam. They, I mean, they say they're working on it. And that they're trying to get it on and that they're in discussions for a TV broadcast in the US. Which is great to hear. Great new network. Here we come. Hopefully. Yeah, but, um, now the surprising news was that something happened and they meant they ended up getting the license for Gurren Logan. Which was originally... Which I'm very interested in. Which was originally licensed by ADV. And to the extent that the first volume was basically ready to go on the shelf. It was almost out. It was like, to the extent that the last issue of a new type had a review of the first volume of it. From ADV. Oh, wow. That's how close it was to coming out. Do you know what? They could be a collector's item or something. Like, I know. That's what I was thinking. But somehow something happened, God knows what. And Bandai Entertainment has gotten the license of Gurren Logan from ADV, I guess, is the best way to put it. And they're doing something cool for us. Oh, that's me. Um, it's the way they're releasing it. This summer in July, August and September, they're going to release a set a month. Subtidal-only DVDs of the entire series. So three volumes, you get the whole show. Nine episodes of a DVD. Oh, wow. Yeah. But... And then, coming in early '09, they're going to release it again with, you know, all sorts of bonuses and shit and, um, a dub. Cause, they know they're, they're completely, it's a completely new dub. They're not using ADV stuff at all. They're sort of, you know, that makes me wonder, like, that makes me wonder, do they only dub the first volume or do they actually do the entire flipping series? Head in the can, ready to roll. I'm sure the entire series wasn't done, but I'm sure a good number of episodes probably were. That and, like, makes me wonder, like, was the dub work really that bad? I don't think it was. Or did the freaking... Or did the dub actors just didn't want to give their lightnesses or, you know, their voices a way to bad die? I'm willing to bet it was banned, I didn't feel like paying ADV for it or something like that. Cause they'd have had to pay ADV to dub it and all that, and I don't think the two have ever really worked together on anything, so it would have been something that they weren't used to doing, probably, and they, um, just didn't do it, they'd rather use their people. Cause it definitely isn't finished, I mean. Cause they, there's a reason that it takes so long for everything to come out because of production. I'm sure a decent number of episodes were finished by ADV by that point. But, alright, um, we had some other information. Then I clarified on the release style for Code Geese. I'm not 100% sure how to pronounce it, but anyone... Is it Geese? Is it Geass? I think it's Geass. But, um, basically what they're going to be doing is they're going to... release. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't know. I apologize. I'm fucking just in here listening to you talk. If I can't fucking keep jumping up in my lap, I'll throw her off me out of the ground. She'll just jump right back up on me and fucking be rubbing all over my face and shit. Sorry. I'll just start over. It sounds good. Alright, um, ADV, er, shit. Bandai's announced how they're going to be handling the release of Code Geese, which is going to be, um, are you there? Yup. Okay. Which is going to be... They're doing something weird. They're doing basically three versions for this release. They're going to be doing traditional standalone volumes of four or five episodes each. Then they're going to do a... a bunt three bundles, like, of about, you know, what's going to be nine... what's going to be nine episodes, what's going to be... eight, and then the other two are going to be eight each. And those are going to be done in two ways. They're going to have a regular one that's just the DVDs and then they're going to have crazy limited edition collector's editions for all of them. That's going to be, like, crazy expensive. And, like, they've already said what's going to happen for the first limited edition you're getting. The first volume, the first soundtrack, um, the sound episode... one of the sound episode drama CDs in the first volume of the manga, all together for... the MSRP is going to be 80 bucks. Oh, wow. You know, I think they really hate it. And that's going to come out August 5th. And that's going to be the first part of it. And then they're going to do it the same way for the second and third parts with limited edition and regular editions with all sorts of extra stuff. One coming in October and one coming in January. Gotcha. And it's interesting to see Bandai experimenting with this with these different kind of release styles because they're doing the same thing for Ghost Slayers, Ayashi, another series that they licensed recently. We're going to do a couple of collector's things for each one. For each, like, they're doing it, like, in 10 episodes since. And for that, too. Nice. It's, yeah, they're clearly experimenting with something. And I kind of like the way they're doing it. I'm a sucker for special editions, so I didn't end up wasting my money on them a lot. So it's cool with me. I mean, I'm definitely going to check it out. At least for case. Interesting. The one other thing they mentioned was each of the special editions for Lucky Star is going to have, like, they already said with the first one that's about to come out, it's going to have, like, a t-shirt with a sailor uniform imprinted on it. Oh, yeah. It's pink. Is it? I haven't seen what it looks like yet. Dude. Yeah. It's something that, like, if you're out in public, it can't even be beaten. And with each of the next of the volumes, they're going to be doing different t-shirts with different outfits from the show when printed on it. And they're moving the different ones. I don't know what's possessing them to do that. It's like, "Hey, you can't wear this." I don't know. I almost tempted to, like, buy it just for the t-shirts and, like, roll around town. Like, "Okay, guys, crazy." Yeah. People already think I'm crazy. I don't need anything to help. There you go. All righty. And that's about everything from Bandai, which was quite a big thing. Yeah. Who did it this year? Which was cool, because I always like it better shit. All right. Let's see. Go ahead and keep on in the news. All right. Yeah. I was going to. Okay. Moving on. Vis didn't have much news in terms of anime they talked about. They're going to be doing season box sets, like, 13 episode sets for Hunter X Hunter, which is a fairly long-running series, which I was surprised to realize hadn't made it out here yet. And they're going to be doing, like, sets every two months for the whole series. And they still have set that full moon. I think I were no-go, and Prince of Tennis are all still on hold. I haven't said anything about them. Screw Prince of Tennis. That's nice. People like that show. Hey, the only episode I watched, they were playing tennis, and it was for your name. Yes. I never would have. He's playing some middle school kid versus a high school kid. He's like, "Oh my god, he's cheating." I don't know. It's pretty weak. Okay. That's cool. Yes. Besides that, they didn't talk much in terms of new things. They talked about some of the other older, and some, they restated a bunch of announcements. It seems they talked a lot about their upcoming big imprints, which is like these bigger versions, and they're like three volumes of series at once. And they're doing Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, which are coming out very soon. And June, June 3rd, and then upcoming in September, this is the first big edition of Vagabond, which is one I definitely want to pick up myself. What the hell is it? It sounds like a freaking hobo anime. Vagabond? What's a manga for one thing, and it's an incredibly violent, um, samurai manga. Oh, with incredible art, some of the best art I've ever seen, in terms of manga. They're doing samurai afro samurai? Yes. Or a samurai shamaroo? Or whatever. Samurai sham. Samurai sham. That's what it was, yes. Well, that's cool. I mean, that sounds like a lot of people are getting sick and tired of waiting. For shows that come out, like, look at their Eureka 7. A year. Yeah, that's a fucking episode. Or for 12 freaking volumes. A year. Me granted, they didn't foresee, you know, all the duplication issues. But still, nonetheless, a year. It took over a year. There's a little over a year for the whole show to come out. But that's a 50 episode series. Case is 25, and they're going to get that out in six months. It looks like the first one in October, last one in January. They're going to get the whole show out in six months versus a year for... So when you think about it like that, it's actually, um, what's what I'm up for? It makes it evens out because 50 episodes in a year, 25 episodes in six months. But still, I like the way they're doing it. That, um, whole three sets of the whole show. Thing works for me. Yeah, it'll be. It'll be interesting, say, least. Yeah. I'm sold. But I'm that kind of guy. Alright, and... The other guys that had the real big presence, or had some real announcements, is Yen Press again. Which is wild. They announced the Haruhi stuff before. Comic Con. And they restated that, but then they announced they're working on... It's called the Yen Plus anthology magazine. Which is the first issue comes out July 29. And it's basically like their answer to... Shonen Jump in the US. Eww. Give me another news magazine. And it's gonna have... It's gonna be read from both sides. You're gonna read the Japanese content from one end going right to left. And then on the other end, you'll be able to read English stuff and Korean stuff. From left to right. Which is really cool. And it's gonna be $8.99 an issue off books, off of the shelves and then $50 for a year subscription. And they announced... Oh, I think we're gonna say something else. Holy crap. And they announced the first five... Series that are gonna run in it, manga series. Anything good? Yes. They've apparently become very, very close with Square Enix manga. So they're doing a lot of their stuff. So the big five have coming. No. Soul Eater. The Higurashi manga. Sumo-mo-mo-mo-mo. Bamboo Blade and Dabari no-o. They're almost on it. It's not good. And yeah, it is. It's really good. They said that not necessarily everything's going to run. It's already run in the magazine. Like they said, Higurashi is just gonna be reviewed for a few months and then dropped and just put into the volumes. They said the show or the series will get full volumes but it's going to... They're not gonna be coming out till May of '09. So like the Soul Eater won't be out till May '09. So I wonder, you know, this magazine, if they're gonna edit any of the content, just seeing it's a magazine. I don't know. It's a good question. I wouldn't be the person to ask though. I don't know how much they need to. But this is all stuff I want. The majority of this stuff is shit I want to pick up too. Like I'll probably end up picking up Soul Eater and Bamboo Blade and Dabari no-o. So it's like, I tend to be very much a pre-and loyalty kind of guy. God check. Like, Funimation for a while I just think to myself they can do. I thought to myself they could do no wrong and for the most part I still believe that. I mean I have no problem. I haven't had a problem with anything Funimation's released in a long time because I really like their style. Yeah, I'm a big fan of Funimation and ADV. I'm back. What were you saying? Oh, I was saying I'm a big fan of Funimation and ADV. Yeah. Let me know. Bandai is pretty good. My point is, Yin is starting to win me over. I'm already buying almost every series they have in their release list right now. And then they announce a whole bunch more that I want in Haruhi on top of all of that. It's just like, "Hey, you guys really like my money." Yeah. That's the thing. I'm very much the kind of guy who, when someone does something I really like, I stick with them a lot. Which makes me happy. Gotcha. Is there any other news? The hell, let me see. I don't know. Not really. And that's the most-- Have it anyway, so yeah. I'm just going to say. And that was most of the big stuff that we got out of New York Comic Con. I probably missed a couple of things, but that's the best you're going to get from me right now. That, you know, if you go to Anime News Network or Anime Bonsai, or yeah, there's tons of places for news. Not just us, so. Yeah. But, yeah, that was a lot of stuff. It's idle. And I'm just going to restate this. I love you in press now. Hey, send us copies. Send us beta copies. Preview copies of your manga, and we'll give them good reviews for-- Hell yeah. I mean, we'll honestly review them. I will. I love them. Yes. God dang, I'm wondering if he was all I did was kiss on a vision mask. I think, uh, yeah. So, okay. We've got DVD picks, and oh my god, finally. Some stuff comes out this way. Yeah, these last, but, last three weeks have been re-releases, re-release, after re-release. Yeah. Nothing. Interesting. Yeah, it's like Bob's, Bob the Builder, Anime, re-release. No, but yeah, it's been pretty, pretty, pretty slow. I mean, people, I think the distribution companies are gearing up for summer. Everybody likes to save it from summer. Indeed. I don't know if you'll just want to go outside, but okay. Yeah, go ahead and pick your first deal. I'll start, and I'm gonna pick the first Buso Rinkin' lock set, which is the first half of the series. It's being released by Viz. Two sets covering the whole show, so you get 13 episodes, you get 50 bucks. Basically, it's this new show from... The creator of Barony Kitchen. It's not quite as incredible as Kitchen, but it's still quite an enjoyable show. It's about this guy, Zuki, who, you, you, who basically runs in. They can be saving this girl from a monster, and gets his ass killed. Are you there? Trying to help us? She, yeah, the girl basically revives him and plays him in this thing called... Oh, Chemical Dry, which gives him this... Oh, a huge ass sword thing. Yeah. You know, it's a typical shown-in-action show from the creator of Kitchen. It's a good show. It's very enjoyable. And it's a very good price. 50 bucks is the NSRP. I'm sure you'll be able to pick it up for less. I'm probably going to end up picking it up. Myselves. So, I definitely feel the phone's up now. At least. Put it on your radar for next week. That's probably... Indeed. I'm probably not going to actually buy this one. The last few weeks, it's kind of been like... I don't get that, I guess, but... Yeah. I know I wouldn't purchase the entire series of Beck in TOCO, and that's been my last anime purchase. If I had to choose next week, I'm going to say Death Note Volume 4. It's been a really fun show to watch. It's actually been nice to watch in every week. Or I'll wait every few weeks and wait until I can take a good three-week break and then catch up and watch three or four episodes at a time. That show's been really addicting. It's a lot of fun to watch. And, yeah. Yeah, it is definitely a popular show. I highly recommend it. It's on the list. Which means nothing, but... Yeah. For me, it means jack shit. But... It's definitely... I mean, it's definitely popular, I'm sure. Yeah, but another Viz Media. So, yeah. Yeah, there you go, Viz, two picks this week. For Viz. Yeah. Oh, hey, you know what's popular in the States? When you can find T-shirts and stuff. You know what's popular in the States? When kids get suspended for bringing skin death into them? Yeah. That too. That too. It's popular in the States, my friend. Dude. All right, buddy. So, holy crap, we're doing our first Mondo review. I know, Scary. Yeah. What we're going to be talking about is... more... He impressed? It came out in a sundown vault. Let's say this first off. What we're going to say is it's going to be kind of graphic, kind of raunchy. And if you're offended by that, I would say move on to the next segment. We're not trying to be obscene to be obscene. The manga is very adult oriented and so... Very much rated ammo. Yes. So, there we are. We got our disclaimer. Just a disclaimer out of the way. But yeah. It's near. Basically, this was... it came out in January. And then a sundown vault you won from the end press. $13. Very good price. Really? Yeah. And it is... Basically, it's about this... boy... Nadeo Iba. Dude. It's a member of this club. The club knows the well. It's basically a good club. A cool group too. Look for the rough-ups, talk about the MC. Oh, that works. Yeah. Well, they also have a good reason why they do all that stuff. The Roman club has a tradition that you will not have sex before college. For your graduate high school. And then if you... Yeah, and you kick out the club. But if you were able to abstain for that long, you get to get a scholarship fund to college. But the trick here is that no one has ever passed that test. And the elder members of the Roman club from past years send assassins to tempt them. So this is kind of where the main heroine comes in. And basically... What's... what's the trick? It's not to get way too much of a story. But basically what happens is... this girl transfers into their school. Her name is Karumi Zahana. Who basically... shows up and the god main character is basically become obsessed with her. Just after seeing her. And for some reason she ends up wanting to join their club. And... from there it goes. She happens to stumble upon a book on masturbation... of masturbation. And decides to have him demonstrate it for her. Which essentially begins the spiral of hilarity. And they're... slightly... creepy relationship, I have to say. And it is very raunchy and... it's silly and raunchy at the same time. Yeah, there's a lot of fan service. There's a... there's a decent amount of fan service. And there's a lot of implied stuff. But there's no real full frontal anything. Yeah, boobs. But yeah, that's really... completely exposed at all. No. But it's very much it implies a lot about sex. And they talk a lot about masturbation. Definitely a lot about masturbation. Oh yeah. So basically... oh yeah, basically... he becomes infatuated with her. And... basically she just... to have fun with him... she just orders him to do different things. And he'll get rewards. So after a while, he just kind of starts going along with it. Because he thinks if he does it... which he says, she'll start to... yeah, he'll get something good out of the deal. And he's basically stopped caring. I mean, he becomes president of the club. But he kind of seems to put that beside him. And it says, "Well, hey, she wants me to do it. I'll do it." Which is... yeah, it's... And the thing about it is the characters are actually wildly interesting. And... it's... fun. In a weird way. It's refreshing, I think. It's a lot more. Because it's different from the way most of this kind of stuff is essential. It's hard to describe. Oh, very true. Well, okay. I mean, yeah. They talk a lot about sex and doing stuff. But everything that she has to keep a due. There's a meaning behind it. And the thing... I'll use the example. He really wants her phone number. Well, she freely gives up to anyone who asks. Well, these two chicken shit to ask. So, as a test of his... a test, she writes her phone number on a rock and throws in the pool. Well, what do you know? He doesn't know how to swim that deep. He tries and tries and tries. Yes, there's hours trying to get that rock. And in the end, he gets it. And it's indirect. Because of that, he learned how to do something new. He betted himself. And right now, everything's kind of been indirect. But it's almost like, yeah, she's helping her out. You're playing dirty, but fast. Yeah. Hey, it's good to have motivation because he eats different things. But I gotta say, at first, I was kind of like, okay, what am I getting into? You know, I mean, a first-fucking thing. Third page, you're talking about nails and, you know, wreath room. And eurethias. And it's like, wow. Okay. But the characters really grow on you. They got a wide cast of characters and some really outlandish characters. I can't think of that chick's name. But yeah. It's another... It's... Yen Press is high quality releases. They do color pages at the beginning of each of their releases. And then they have a really good translation to something I've noticed. I can't remember off the top of my head. I really should check is how they handle the sound effects. But overall, I was incredibly satisfied with it. It's one of my favorites that I've read recently, to say the least. And the second volume is set to come out in May. So I highly recommend it to anyone above the age of consent. Yes. Yeah, I enjoyed it. The thing that pissed me off was some of the text would be really big in one panel. But because it made so big in one panel, they shrank the text a lot. Or the text would run into the mind of the cover. So you have to, like, break the book in half just to be able to finish reading a word or two. Yeah, I did notice it. And I found that to be really annoying. It's like, you had to bend the book pretty far back and kind of angle it. Oh, this is the, you know, this kind of like sound of a bitch, you know. But I think I'm really looking forward to the second chapter or volume, I should say. It left at a really cool point. And it really makes you think. I mean, it's like, I'm not going to say anything. But it's one of those things after reading the first volume with all the sex and all the, all the stuff that you've seen. I keep a go-to just to impress this girl. The ending is kind of a surprise. And you really think both of these things are going, "Geez, huh." So I'm really looking forward to it next month. But yeah, if I had to rate it though, I'd give it an eight. I mean, it's really interesting. About an eight, eight point five for me as well. I just hope it continues being good. I hope it doesn't get staked in their stale. And I hope, I have a feeling that Kiba's going to stay with, um, I can't believe your name now. I apologize. Who's my character's, uh, heroine's name? Karumi, that's it. I should know that. Um, I have a feeling that Kiba's going to stay with a Karumi. And then the other three crew members are going to keep, keep staying with that hairhead. Yeah, that's how it's going to work now. But yeah, it's a good man. It's a good man guy. So check it out if you're over 18 and looking for some comedy. Yeah, it's definitely funny. I'll say this. I made the mistake of trying to read it on a fucking public bus. And I had to continue, like, look over my shoulder and be like, "Oh shit." 'Cause I didn't know what to expect. I wouldn't burst into it with an old man. Oh, I know, but it's like how adults, you know? But, uh, like, every other page is like, "Panny Shot, Panny Shot." And it's like, "Alright, uh, I'm going to look like a frickin' crazy nut." [laughs] Um. Ready, right? It's not the best thing I read. So we've got Soul Eater Episode 2. Yes, we do. Which you both watch. And... Which introduces us to the second team. Which is Black Star and, oh my god, I feel like a dumbass. 'Cause I can't remember her name. You just watched it, like, ten minutes ago. What's her name? I don't fucking remember. Either way, she's like, "Yeah." Either way, it's important. [laughs] No, um. Subaki. Subaki, that's it. Black Star and Subaki. Black Star. Who is a crazy fucker. Let's not put it that way. He's a young kid who's very fanboying and thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. Or maybe... Or maybe a Naruto. [laughs] Yes, actually. He's supposed to be a ninja. But he has kind of an issue where he likes to jump out in front of everybody and announce that he's there. [laughs] Yeah, the opening scene was... He was supposed to assassinate El Capone, the mafia lord, being a play on El Capone. And... He's a knight with a hand. He's reciting the code and then he just does the exact opposite. He jumps out and says, "I'm gonna fucking assassinate you." Well, the guy just looks at him like he's crazy. He's like, "What?" And his, uh, his weapon changes form back to her human. And just basically goes, "Yeah, we're sorry for showing up." We'll be leaving now. Turned into a bomb and run. Yes, turns into a smoke bomb and runs. Yeah, it's... But he's a crazy ass. Again, it was a very crazy anime. Not as much comedy per se. Excuse me. In the first episode, but still a very fun watch. Yeah. No, basically the episode is trying to him understanding when to shut the hell up and be skillful. Yeah. Which comes to a... Very exciting. Yeah, with him getting in an actual cool looking battle. 'Cause he's actually skilled. He just likes to act like a dumbass. He doesn't act serious most of the time. Yeah, we get to... We get a feeling for those two and... They're obviously close with the other two that we've already knelt, Maka, and Soul Eater. Indeed. Yeah. It was definitely fun. It's hard to talk about these episodes 'cause they're prologs. But... I mean, just makes me more excited for once it's finally gonna start the real story. Which... Yeah. After next week, next week we have... Another team. The third prologue, which is the last one. And that is about death the kid in his two weapons. That seems cool. He's very... You'll like him. He's very fun. All I gotta say is I think you took too much jazz or tap or something growing up as a kid. He is OCD. Or growing up. Yeah, there you go. He's got a massive OCD. Indeed. It's a lot of fun. Once we finally get past that episode, it's gonna finally kick it into gear and start moving with the real story. Well, they got 50 episodes. Or 52 episodes. They got time. They got plenty of time, man. I'm looking forward to it. I'm still in love with the art style. And I like that when they show... Oh, it's really good. Yeah. Yeah, it's like laughing. Yeah, so much of me had freaking weather like that. I wanna see the snowflakes. Are they daggers? Yeah. Yeah, it's just so creative in so many ways. It makes me... The show is so different than I expected. I expected a series dark show. It's anything but... Yeah, I know. It's fun. Indeed. So yeah, I think that wraps up for another week. Another week. Yeah. And let me remind everybody, check out the blog at abonzai.animeblogger.net. And hit us up. Email us questions, ideas, whatever you wanna hear from us. It's stuff you wanted us to talk about at... A Bonti Podcast at gmail.com. Indeed. And don't forget, review us on iTunes. Do that. Do we have any reviews yet? I don't know. I have to check. But I don't think so. And it makes me sad. I wanna see some. So someone get out there and do that. Come on. People have to use iTunes. Everyone uses iTunes. Even Jesus. Yes, even Jesus uses iTunes. I'm sure there's a guy out there named Jesus who uses iTunes. Yes. He uses iTunes. Yes. Exactly. All right. Well, I think that's it for this week. For this week. Yes. So take care. And keep moving to the Bonti beat. This is Jilikun. And this is Jilikun. And this is Jilikun. And this is Jilikun. And this is Jilikun. And this is Jilikun. And this is Jilikun. And this is Jilikun.
