Much of West Virginia will be impacted by a winter storm coming straight at West Virginia today, expected to arrive with varying amounts of accumulation this afternoon and tonight. It's the one year anniversary of the January 6th riots at the U.S Capitol. Covid cases continue to rise in West Virginia as health officials plead with the public to get vaccinated. The Department of Education and some lawmakers want academic contests highlighted with the same enthusiasm as high school sports in a new Academic Showdown unveiled Wednesday.
