It's the first day of school in West Virginia and there will be in-class instruction in 46 of the state's 55 counties in some form. At WVU the effort to have some in-person classes has been scrapped for the moment over rampant spread of Covid 19--something President Gordon Gee believes could have been avoided. A State Trooper fired over an incident in which a teen was beaten wins a court case. Labor Day politics managed to survive the pandemic and in sports, despite pandemic concerns on campus, WVU vs. Eastern Kentucky is still a go for Saturday.
