be helpful in insightful conversation with Jason Russell just moments ago we'll get it in the podcast section at woodradio.com former Secret Service agent but on the live line with us this morning is Ryan Schmels with Fox News Radio Ryan thanks for doing this last minute today of course and we got some breaking news going on here too so we can report that well give us the very latest what what new do we know this morning well we just got a statement in from Secret Service so kind of what we're reading off here is that you have hey but I'm kind of still going through this but the director put out a statement saying I'm confident in the security plan our Secret Service RNC coordinator and our partners have put in place which we reviewed and strengthened in the wake of Saturday's shooting so I will live an update there in terms of what they're doing about Milwaukee doesn't seem like they're gonna make too many changes and they're confident what they had before anything new about how we report what happened on Saturday now that we've had a little bit of time to look at things what's the the latest in that description yeah it's hard to know I think there is still a lot that were we're processing and there's still a lot that that we're gonna have to learn so there we got another update here so Fox can confirm that the House Homeland Security Committee virtual briefing by United States Secret Service director Charles Shetty will be this afternoon no exact timing but yet the Fox can confirm it will be this afternoon so there lots of stuff coming in right now but still the former president did arrive in Milwaukee last night yep and will be addressing the RNC as early as today yes yes and what was interesting is that you had the Senate campaign the RSC or the NRC you had the campaign committees for the the House side as well as the Democrat respective committees to pause all their fundraising events yesterday in the wake of former president Trump shooting but then when former president Trump decided to go to Milwaukee and continue campaigning you know I had a source contact man say that the NRC has gone back to its campaigning efforts and its fundraising efforts so don't expect the AB the Michigan fundraising event in that height Michigan Senate race to stop anytime soon because it seems like they're still full force ahead despite the fact that this happened interesting more well wishes for the family of the fallen former firefighter but have we heard any updates on the other two that were injured we heard critically in this event yeah I'm still here in critical condition I haven't seen anything that that says that that has changed so yes I keep considering them and keep thinking about them because this is going to be a long road I guess so Ryan Schmels with Fox News Radio in Washington DC thank you for your time today of course thank
