On this Monday, July 15th, 2024, let's get to today's top five, Shmiti. Where does it start? Oh, no. Number five, a driver following a shortcut recommended by Google ends up stranded on a mountain for three hours. Here we go. Have you seen that episode of the Office where Dwight is out and the Google Maps is telling him to turn left and he just turns into a river because it tells him to turn left? That's this guy. 23-year-old man found himself stuck in Utah. A 911 call came in. The man claimed the route was a shortcut Google recommended. It took search and rescue three hours to safely assist him and get the driver down the mountain. Google issued a statement that said, "Safety is a top priority, and whenever possible, we do aim to route drivers on paved roads." Except in this moment where the shortcut was not a great shortcut. There were four. I'm just not so sure what a good idea this is in this day and age. In California, town is attempting to gather 10,000 people to break a Guinness World Record for the largest water balloon fight. Splashfest, organized by the nonprofit Balloons Over Bullets in Stockton, kicks off at two o'clock on Saturday. We'll let you know how that thing turns out, knowing what I know about taxes in California because we had a kid that lived there, that much water is going to cost about a billion dollars. That number three on the list? At number three, some are asking, "Will he or won't he?" And there are others who just think, "Well, he should stop, period." Who are we talking about? Tiger Woods. And it seems like he just can't stop. ESPN said the winner of 15 major started prep for the British Open with an 18-hole practice round at Royal Trune on Sunday. Now, it's no secret. Tigers had a rough go in recent years. Here's the facts. He either missed the cut or withdrew in five of his past six starts in majors. Just a few months ago at the Masters, he finished 60th. That was last among the players who made the 36-hole cut. And after this, who knows what he'll do? He's already told the press that the Open is going to be his last competitive tournament this year. But it's hard to imagine Tiger Woods actually putting down the clubs and calling it quits. I mean, he could start the senior tour next year. He's 49 years old. He's got options. I think you can use a cart. So don't call me a senior at 49, or 50, or anything. At number two on the list. At number two, Steve, you know, as a former wrestler, how much weight making your weight for the next fight is important. I take issue with former wrestler, because I think once. That's a wrestler. Okay. Yeah, that was a thing. Well, UFC fighter Tracy Cortez was half a pound over when she went in for her official weight. So what did she do? She cut off all of her hair and then went back in and made weight. She cut off like a foot of hair and just it worked and it worked. So I take all my jewelry off at my physical. Like, don't put me on that. Wait, hold on. I got hoop earrings in today. Gotta take those shoes off every time. Yeah, I felt better. I felt better just after hearing that story about how weird I am. In wrestling, we would strip to nothing. And then at the very last minute, blow all the air out of our lungs. Right. Just in case you know, that was a half a pound. Well, we weren't. We were uneducated. We were still in high school. Finally, at number one on the list, a llama bolted through its owner's gate in Bangor, Maine, and took a stroll through the neighborhood in an apparent attempt to avoid having his teeth cleaned. Now listen, been there. I get a little anxiety about the dentist and meaning no disrespect to dentists, an orthodontist that may be listening to the program because it's a super important thing that we do. But you know, it's a llama. What's the best the teeth are going to look anyway? Have you ever seen a llama with good looking teeth? Jeffrey apparently bolted through the gate and took off the door of the Bangor Police Department Animal Control Officer Trish Bruin responded. Pardon me. Jeremy has been corralled and his teeth have been cleaned. I love when you have animals named as real people. Like that story wouldn't have been as great if it wasn't like, well, Jeffrey just backed out the crash part of the dentist's office. Totally. What would be a normal name for a llama? I want to say like Leroy. Yeah. Leroy the llama. It's today's top five. Yalama mama. It's gonna be one of those days.
